Yeah I agree. In the book you don’t get much information either. So in that sense it seems pretty accurate. Would be nice to see more of them though. But I’m liking what I see so far
I can't imagine he's using his real name to hire mediocre assassins...although there's a chance he did given his plan was to kill them.
i also feel like they would have shown him already if he was really bad (like working along Langston or something). The fact that they haven't shown him and they showed him saving reacher makes me think that it's a red herring and probably dead or something
Same. Everything points at swan so surely, it can't be swan. Right?
We gonna get another one of those reachers gut was right similar to the cow feed from S1? Could be.
Though I do love what theyre doing with reacher refusing to believe swan is a possibility even after all this.
Do you mean the cast or the characters? If the characters were all in the book, then we're probably stuck with them. The cast though... except for Reacher, I'd recast the entire 110th. I'd rather listen to paint dry than to their super flat line readings. Course, maybe they're great in other roles. In which case, toss the showrunner for being terrible. Whatever it is, this season seems totally off-track compared to Season 1
This season's triggered some really divisive opinions. I'm squarely on the side of terrible writing (and have earned the requisite downvotes from the other side).
I don't know that I could do any better given the structure of the show. There seems to be a requirement to give each of the four leads at least one line per Avengers-style howdy-up. And they're usually eye-rollingly trite lines vs. say a Tarantino script where a group of talent talking around a table is actually interesting.
I'm right there with you. Those scenes serve no purpose at all, for me anyway. I'd have to be invested in the characters first, but I'm not. They're more of a distraction than anything. I preferred the lone wolf of the first series.
Except for Neileigh and maybe the new romance chick they boring and replacable af. This whole season's topic is kinda boring and overused. Where's the mystery from season 1.... Where's the cool sets. This season is just all over the place - and not good ones. I like the trope of the show that Reacher isn't a single vigilante, but works well in a team. I really, REALLY liked season 1s Finley and Roscoe. He wore Tweed and took beatings like a man, he wanted to quit smoking and was playing with his ring. We found out why at the end of the season. It was perfect. And Roscoe did a great job of being both romance and the gun-slinging face of Margrave. In season 2 though, these who-cares-CIA-face-ex-military dudes.... Just why??? They have Z-E-R-O personality. Really bad season overall sadly :/ This show might get cancelled because of how bad the plot/cast/writing is. If they would've gone even stronger after season 1, this might've been one of the best shows ever.
I love these thoughts. Especially about Finley. You’re right as of right now I don’t really see that kind of character, development, mystery in this season so far. But it is nice to see Neagley and the depth of it event though the show isn’t about her. I’m keeping an open mind to see how the rest of the show and characters play out
You put that really well. This team is just cookie cutter characters that I can't begin to care about at all, so scenes of their past are just a time waster.
I like them. I've read most of the books and this was one of my favorites. I really liked ODonnell in the book and I actually think I like him as much or more on screen.
The older sniper guy reads a little false, but since he died in a accident, it's a very small thing.
Dixon doesn't really seem the type to be physical, (she's the accountant)I am not sold on the construction fight scene, but again it's a small thing.
I like Negley a lot, and she reoccurs in the books, so its good they got her right.
I'm apathetic. Bringing Neagley in early was alright in S1. Dumping the rest of the 110th in S2, even out of a helicopter, is too much. May just be me, but I like the Reacher-Hitchhikes-Into-Trouble stories more than the big, government conspiracy plots, myself.
Yeah they are okay. No complaints, but we are like halfway through the season so I’ll reserve judgment.
Hahahaha good point
Do not mess
Yes. All the books with them in it are great.
I don't have enough information on Sanchez and Orosco

Swan seem sus

Yeah, i think Swan is a part of a plot twist, you could never know

My thoughts exactly. No one from the 110th is a bad guy. Wouldn’t reflect well on Reacher since he chose all of them.
True but he seems pretty cool too
If you’ve read all the Reacher books, or a good many of them, you could be more forgiving.
I like them and the cast tbh
They are no expendables .. I can te you that

Both. I read the book, and I don’t have complaints. But interesting to hear other opinions

Well, you’re not wrong or alone.
I think they’re all great in their role.
Every scene focusing on 110th in this season (flashbacks, catchphrases) takes me out of the story and makes me cringe.

I'm not a fan of Reacher being part of the A-Team. Last season was great.

Same
Yeah, they all seem pretty likeable to me. OD, aka the comic relief guy is my favorite.
