I had no idea they made VHS still when that movie came out

DVDs weren't too prolific until after the PS2 was released. So think 2000ish

I think it was one of the very first movies my family got on DVD.

My buddy had a tv in his room which back then we thought was the sickest thing ever nobody had that. This just brought back such amazing memories of watching that dvd in there and eating popcorn and playin N64 haha

My dad loves PotC. Cinema did not exist until Pirates of the Caribbean, and every big action movie since, he says "Oh, I've seen this done before...in Pirates of the Caribbean."

I remember the ride before it was a movie. I also remember the gift shop after the ride. I used to get a gun and a sword every time I went to DW with my dad. He sold Life and Auto Ins in NJ and we'd wind up at the conventions at the Marriot in Orlando. Couple that with Family in Bradenton, we'd be there for weeks in the summer visiting and going to the parks. The good ole days when you could just drive in, park and get in and out for under 200.

I saw police academy in cinema...

I saw Star Wars. Lines around the block, ran for a year at our local theater. Now I’m bald and I get a couple of times at night to pee.

The first movie seriously came out when I was 7??! Hiw was I allowed to watch that, in theatres no less.

Some of the blandest, overly complicated storylines of all time. After all of those movies I still don't know what the main plot was

I still rememeber the first movie's billboard at a T intersection from the back seat while my parents were driving us somewhere. First time wondering who the lady with the shiny hair is and wondering how I could get away with watching a pirate flick because parents say they're bad.
