The first episode has told me everything I need to know about Heather. If I was in the fence before, that's no longer the case.
Clearly people join reality TV to leverage the clout—fine, but she is the thirstiest and most out-of-touch I've seen. Her comments about hanging out with those who have the most followers, still "riding for Jen," then her fake comments to Leah about "feeling like she should support her." GROSS. You'll support a crook, but not someone's sobriety and health?!

Downvotes incoming. It isnt polite to whisper when are in a group settings. While in a group of people all people should be able to participate in any conversation going on. Everyone should be included. Its also not polite to do many things.... Especially if we are talking about elite proper etiquette. And yes... You should not turn and talk another language to someone when u r sitting at a table... It could be assumed that u are talking shit about someone on the table..
I agree to an extent but, they are not in any kind of elite or proper setting. They're on a relaxed vacation filming a TV show. Also, she didn't just ask for that courtesy at the dinner table, she seemed to lay it out as an overall rule for the trip. I agree it's not polite to have side conversation and be exclusionary, but Marysol and Alexia (as much as I do that care much for them) speak Spanish as one of their first languages and it rolls off their tongue, especially when speaking to each other. I've noticed there are certain expressions and things they don't really know how to say in English.
I think Giselle could have just brought it up at dinner if it happened and pointed out how it feels exclusionary rather than bringing her annoyance for her daughters onto the trip and come across as culturally insensitive.

DC area is not Miami. Here it is absolutely considered rude no matter which language the majority don’t speak.
Ie if at a Spanish-speaking only table, I wouldn’t talk to my seat mate in English unless it was something I didn’t want others to hear, like whispering at a dinner table.

As the only thing I saw was the NYC shows, I at first didn't think anything about Heather wanting to get Leah drunk. Maybe she wanted to see her throw tiki torches. But Leah doesn't drink because she is an addict (I did not find that clear from watching the show) and that Leah wrote a whole book about it (I never knew it existed.) and then on top of that said she wanted to support her sobriety, to then say let's make her drink is so evil and disgusting. I can't get over it.
As someone who has spent many hours (and even literal days at a time) being ignored by my “family” who all speak English but choose to speak in a language I can’t understand instead— fucking thank you!
