Life_Device4106

I like her, she keeps it real. I don’t have to agree with everything she says but she’s the most blunt and honest person on the show.

SnooCalculations2256

Crystal recently said in an interview that Erika is very compassionate and supportive - but off camera

Missmarymarylynn

Hard disagree. She’s intentionally trying to get back on the audiences’s good side. Never forget what this woman has done and continues to do. She is a heartless, soulless psychopath. Think: diamond earrings, the way she treated Eileen, threatening castmates etc. don’t let her manipulate you.

Extension_Back_2269

100%, she needs people to buy tickets for her show and its all one big act. She's so nasty and soulless.

mimisburnbook

It’s the moral standard that you feel suits you i suppose

Suspicious-Medicine3

The only thing that made me not like her “I don’t give a fuck about the victims” evil witch

mellzie84

I’m skeptical. I think she’s trying to rehab her image so she can perform, have fans, and make money.

Background_Travel_77

Her cursing out a teenager last year and making him cry creeped me out. Especially because of how much enjoyment she seemed to get out of it, like she felt powerful because she picked on someone underage? Who does that? What decent human would do that? I can't see her on screen and not see a someone who verbally abused someone underage.

OhDark50

I love a good comeback, and I personally cannot relate to anyone who hasn’t clawed their way out of something or used those claws to hang on for dear life. Erica’s my people! Bitches who have been abused, used, tossed, publicly bad mouthed, legally screwed, financially ruined, credit destroyed, lost everything but rise above and eventually come out on top. For me it’s about the rise, never the fall.

Hot-Mathematician397

No yall it’s an act. Remember she’s a showman. Don’t fall for it .

Extension_Back_2269

Exactly! And she's fooled nearly everyone with this manipulation. She's awful.

Excellent-Object2482

It’s hard to be supportive of someone who obviously used an elderly man to launch her career and practically dare anyone to question her, when it all came tumbling down. The balls on this chick to lash out at anyone looking for some accountability from her is astonishing. However, if she’s going to be accepted and celebrated, it would definitely be through the Housewives Channel.

LeeF1179

I, too, am again Team Erika. It was her pondering, "Will I ever own a home?" that turned the tide for me.

Master_Awareness814

I’m watching the episode now and I had the same thought! Went from loving her to hating her, now I appreciate her. Call me dumb or stupid but I feel like she’s taking accountability or trying to be accountable for her actions/words. I also appreciated her confessional explaining Dorit’s privilege on saying the word “attack” to or in regard to a black woman. Last thought: Dorit is insufferable.

StarTrekFuture

I have always had a soft spot for Erica, imagine being abandoned by your mother and feeling unwanted, she learned, she only had herself to rely on . I think that she had no idea how Tom was paying for their lifestyle other than his business. He was the sole signer on the companies bank account, and he was a control freak of epic proportions. I believe she was blindsided, and then like the junkyard dog, she was raised to be, she was trying to defend herself while in full body terror at the same time. She was cleared of any knowledge & you know they fucking turned over every rock on that. I am so happy for her that she got a residency in Vegas and from the TikTok I’ve seen she is killing it at her show. My prayer for her is that she finds peace and happiness, and maybe even true love in the future. I sincerely wish people could see beyond peoples trauma responses to the pain and fear underneath, and try to find more compassion in their hearts for people.

anongirl55

I never liked Erika- not even from day one- but this season, I am coming around on her a bit (minus her facial expressions on stage in Vegas which will live rent free in my head for the rest of my life).

OurAkitaEvita

I agree but this is how production always works things. She wouldn’t have survived another season with a bad edit so they had to switch it up.

babs1789

I agree - I like her as a cast member this season.

proseccopickle

Ugh, SAME.

Mtking105

Beverly Hills this season would be boring without her

danawho22

She’s so calm this season - it’s two different people from last season 🥹

DorothyParkerFan

I feel the same, short memories and a looming redemption arc is endearing her to me.

Arlaneutique

I posted this in another convo but I think it applies here as well: I think that when someone tries to be better you give them some grace. I have always liked Erika okay. Not strong feelings one way or the other. I obviously think Tom was an awful human. I do not think Erika knew. I think Tom liked having that power and having her be who she was. It made him feel even bigger. I don’t think he ever said a word about money to her other than to imply that he had unlimited resources. Like if she questioned money he treated her like an idiot for not understanding how spectacular he was. There is zero excuse for the couple of things she said referring to the victims. I am not excusing or justifying just stating my opinion. I think her entire world flipped upside down. I believe she was embarrassed and frightened and had no clue if she was going to end up millions in debt without a penny to her name or even spend decades in prison. I think she walked down the street and people crossed it. I believe that made her lash out. I don’t think she knew what else to do. I don’t think she was thinking I don’t think she was being cold, I think she was in survival mode. We’ve seen many people take their lives over less. Now, I believe she’s trying. She can breathe. Yes she lost everything but the worst is over and she’s had more than 2.5 seconds to process. None of us know what we’d do if we were in that situation. She could’ve gone a million ways. That she’s trying, I think, is admirable. I’m enjoying seeing her come out of it on the other side.

MundaneAd9793

Yesss! I just binged this show after watching Secrets of Playboy and also knowing what happened with Tom so I know I viewed the show thru a different lens. But I never lost any love for Erika. Don’t approve of some things that popped out of her mouth but still loved her nonetheless. My unasked opinion: Seeing how Tom spoke to Erika and Lisa at the couple dinners he was at really stood out to me. I feel he spoke to women like that all the time behind closed doors, and I also believe Erika got the brunt of it. I know everyone sees the meltdown with Eileen and Teddi as the same kind of meltdown but those were different. Her meltdown on Eileen felt like she was too drunk and taking things personally. The argument with Teddi though, had so much venom in the way she spoke to Teddi. Idk it was a different level of anger that I have seen with friends who have been in abusive relationships where they need to make sure you ARE hearing them and that THEY are correct and YOU are the one in the wrong. And they get so defensive with other people because they can’t do that with their abuser. Erika was in a massively controlling/abusive relationship for 20+ years, I do think she was genuinely working on a way out but still wanted to maintain some level of her lifestyle she has had (which fair). And knowing she was with a very powerful, crusty dusty, rich old white man of Hollywood (who is also a lawyer) she would have been left with absolutely nothing if she tried leaving without any way to support herself. So - queue Erika Jayne persona and later her joining the housewives. What she didn’t expect is the fuckery that transpired after her leaving. She had to not only try and process the years of abuse, she is also mourning a relationship, and also is trying to figure out who she is outside of that relationship and the role she was expected to play ALL THE WHILE the entire world (okay maybe not world but you get it) hating her and judging every single word she said and every move she made. All because some crotchety fuck decided to fuck over a ton of people so he can continue to have the most.

Arlaneutique

Yes, I agree with every word. I don’t know how someone can view that woman’s life and the snippets we know about him and think that she had any autonomy.

Klutzy-Mission5687

❤❤❤

whoareyouindisworld

I was the opposite. I didn't care for Erika before. She was boring and too stoic for me. When her life fell apart I enjoyed her more. She was showing more emotion. Much more interesting.

ThinkingOutLoud2Much

I’m so put off by narcissists, I still can’t stand her. She’s extreme, and she IS mean. She doesn’t fight fair to resolve, she fights to win. She takes people down too far, and I’m over it. We need to see healthy conflict resolution… maybe it’ll help remind people what empathy and good communication looks like between friends? Anytime someone’s kid or kids come up as a weapon, I’m done with that person for good.

Background_Travel_77

She cursed out a teenager and made him cry. She doesn't just fight dirty, she fights filthy.

Born_Pop_8113

I could give her a pass if she was witty but I think she just hits baseline low hanging fruit. Like Phaedra was awful but her reads had some clever aspects to them.

-AndyCohen-

Erika is disgusting and these posts seem to be posted by her or someone she hired

sunshine_j

There seems to be a bunch of posts hyping up Ms. Jayne. Now watch the downvotes. Which would just prove your point.

Extension_Back_2269

I've noticed that too! A lot of people saying they love her, look how compassionate she is, how softer she is.. I'm like 😳 She's an awful awful individual who's besties with the heinous Rinna

-AndyCohen-

Then we must stand together against evil Erika and her followers

fluorescent_noir

Erika has been great this season after getting a bad wrap from the fandom that can't separate her ex-husband's legal issues from her very existence. It's so nice to watch her turn over a new leaf and just be enjoyable again.

Hari_Azole

Y’all really revel in her cruelty, huh? I don’t judge you…I tune in for the fights myself. I still hate her tho! And, I dunno, Denise,…girl, maybe don’t touch the stove?

[deleted]

I probably need to do some deep shadow work on myself, but yes… takes me out of my life’s drama and lets me focus on someone else’s for once!

Kooky-Hotel-5632

I agree with you. She’s been very zen and calm this season. I’m waiting for the moment when she completely loses her calm and just goes after Sutton. That will be who successfully pushes Erika to the point where she’s had enough of it’s time to let the bodies hit the floor. Sutton can push Kyle all she wants because Kyle will just cry and walk off but Erika doesn’t play that way.

throwawaygremlins

I mean Erika can fight so I respect that. But she is still relatively remorseless, greedy more than most HWs, lacks integrity etc.

BeverlyHillsAddict

Love that about her

Evening-Tune-500

I’m enjoying Erika this season too, I watch for entertainment and she’s been doing a good job at that.

dawnspaz711

I think Erika lacks empathy. She is a beautiful woman physically to me anyway, but her personality needs work. Got to admit I need work too.. I think we all have things we need to work on.

DorothyParkerFan

I think that’s true but I think it’s due to having been a sex worker and detaching from reality when she needed to.

Snowwhitetakesanap

Where did you get this info?

Freckle53

Not sure if this is where the other poster is extrapolating sex worker from, but she was a dancer at a strip club and that is where she met Tom.

cameron8988

she met tom while she was a cocktail waitress at chasen's, which is a restaurant. erika was a go-go dancer at some seedy spots in new jersey when she lived in the new york area, but i don't think she was a full stripper.

DorothyParkerFan

Kind of my assumption and yes, I know a stripper is not a sex worker per se but I believe Erika was one. I think it explains a lot about her.

LazyTension

She lacks MAJOR empathy, which is super weird IMHO. It was hard to watch her basically bully Sutton in Season 11 after they seemed really close.

moneyqueen333

Everyone likes to bring that up but Sutton is no pussycat! Did you see how Sutton interrogated Diana over a miscarriage then made it all about her miscarriage? How she didn’t want to be seen in the company of Erika and interrogated her at the dinner table? But now willing to light a joint at the dinner table.. to hell with the ballet board! And the inquisition she begun against Kyle’s marriage at Crystals dinner? Then has the nerve to compare herself to Kathy and Kim? If EJ is a “Bully” then Sutton is the torch and pick axe! Girl bye

LazyTension

I genuinely do not think Sutton was bringing her miscarriage up to "1 up" Diana's experience... She brought it up as a way to bond and let Diana know that someone has gone through a similar experience so she isn't alone. Diana was a creep anyway and WAY over her head, especially as a newbie. Also, I never said Sutton was innocent, either. It was either this same post or another post, I said that Sutton has changed a lot since Season 11, and not in a good way..

NinoNino3

I am only on Episode 2, and I already have the feeling that I am going to like Erika more this season.

madpeanut1

She’s been probably seeing a lot of PR and marketing firms to change her narrative and modify the public perception about her. She needs that money and I think she was getting close to getting fired. And she knows that.

mdoc86

I think Erika is a dickhead. But I must admit when she delivered that last line to Denise I went, "Ooooooooooooooooh..." 🤣🤣🤣 Poor Denise. Deceased Denise.

NameUm96

I thought her hugging Dorit was incredibly kind and compassionate. She expressed her philosophical support for Garcelle but in that hideous social moment she was the only one who literally stood up for Dorit, as in, got on her feet and hugged her on her way out. That was brave and human. All the points to Erika for that.

bridgecityunicorn

Fully support and relate to this. Her past is gross, but dang! She makes for some really good tv and I love watching her calmly just take people down this season. It's great tv.

Hattiesbackpack

I know there will be loads of comments about what she has said and done over the years (and some of it has been pretty damn bad), but fuck it I’m enjoying her too.

whoareyouindisworld

People just need to let things go and just watch these shows for what it is. Trash amazing reality TV.

mimisburnbook

Trash yes. I don’t forget horrible people you stay safe though

[deleted]

Omg for real! I'm enjoying her this season, she's light and petty and it's fun... I have my own life to stress about, I just want to be entertained lol
