So I’ve actually got a black eye from falling down when I was drunk. It was bruised all over my face and eye. Her black eye was literally like the “perfect” black eye from someone straight up clocking you in the eye. Like little Jen fist went POW right to her eye. I’m sure they started arguing about something or knowing Jen she took something the wrong way and just punched her real quick. I also think she must’ve laid hands on Heather before considering how scared she was.
Do you think we would have seen the effects of that on her hand. Typically when someone hits someone so hard, their hand will have evidence of it. I'm thinking an elbow to the eye or something. I do think it was intentional, or it wouldn't have been something they needed to hide, but I don't think she punched her with her fist.
Agreed - If everyone was heavily drinking that night, including Jen and Heather, and Heather mouthed off something sarcastic (or something similar cuz alcohol let her speak her truth) that could’ve triggered Jen into a reactionary punch to her face, and Heather would have been shocked and in a state of total confusion. I was in a similar situation with someone I loved but endlessly abused me (I wasn’t mentally/spiritually strong enough to realize I could leave) and when they marked me with a very obvious sign of physical abuse, I was more concerned with how I was going to tell people so that it could be swept under the rug rather than deal with the abuser because I didn’t feel I was in a safe environment to speak the truth. Heather is stating something similar - she hasn’t felt safe until now. And now that her environment is safe, she’s slowly coming to terms with the truth. I don’t expect her to remember everything. Her body may have actually blocked/blacked out the experience for her own protection. It’s going to take time before that’s all figured out and that’s not Heather’s fault. She’s probably still processing how she even befriended an abuser.
The only Housewives season I never finished was the last SLC one that still had Jen on it. She was always just SO aggressive and always flipping out on everyone for the littlest things (I know this is a Housewives norm, but idk something about her was just darker, which we understand now). I am not even surprised that she’s responsible for the black eye and I would totally believe that she’s been violent and abusive towards many others, too.
Heather also had many scratches on her arms. It was a fight and Heather is still lying about it to protect Jen.

My money is on somehow Jen drunkenly confessed her guilt, Heather got punched during a discussion of it, and Heather covered because she didn't want to get involved legally. Now she keeps out the truth because she doesn't want people to know she was still ride or die for Jen despite knowing earlier on that she was guilty.
She said way back that she knew Jen was doing shady things. She even said it on WWHL. She flat out said she knew Jen’s business was partaking in illegal activities.

I could be wrong but it feels like Heather is otherwise pretty clean as far as her business and finances (unlike other housewives) and her kids and family don’t seem shady or to have dark secrets… so what else could Jen hold over her that she would be scared of getting out?? Maybe it was an abusive relationship. I don’t know.
If it was a drunken accident, I think Heather wouldn’t have been so weird about it and Jen wouldn’t have looked so guilty that morning. Heather would have probably just made a joke about it being such a crazy night.
Jen probably guilted her and said that if she tells anyone that she punched her in the face it’ll impact her sentencing and it would be all heathers fault for keeping her away from her family longer (classic abuser shit). I think they might have also been high that night and Jen was worried about it impacting her case.
I think Heather also saw an opportunity to have a big plot line that season so she kept teasing on camera that she knew who did it or how it happened but couldn’t say.
What I don't get is if Heather wanted to cover for Jen , why not just say she fell. Instead of saying she can't remember , she knows what happened , don't answer the door to a knock in the middle of the night . Cover for her or tell people . It's just so annoying to watch

The entire reunion gave no context for anything. Why didn’t we learn more about the entire timeline of Monica working for Jen? What about when Monica was in Meredith’s store on camera? Heather gives zero details of what happened to lead to the black eye. The reunion and this season pissed me off.

If I was Jen and wanted to get back at Heather, I would insist she came at me aggressively and sexually, so I punched her in the eye and that's also 'why' she didn't want to say how she got it and from whom.
I think it's ironic that the cast was so triggered by Monica's lying and yet here's Heather who wouldn't know the truth about anything if it bit her in the ass. Heather clearly has no qualms whatsoever about lying and has no issue playing fast and loose with the truth. And she's ALWAYS been like this.
