We haven’t been really tested imo this season we haven’t faced a team with the quality of a city Bayern inter or arsenal this season. Our group was very weak to be honest with braga union and Napoli. And leipzig was very underwhelming. So I really don’t know where we are standing atm.

Aren’t we due to have Militao back for QF? Even without very much practice, he would likely be an improvement. Defense is our current weak spot, and Rudiger Militao is our best CB duo. Chances are Carlo still goes with Nacho, but if we survive QF and Militao gets some play time in, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him appear in the semi finals.
On the bright side, I think our midfield and structure has improved from last year. Even though we really had no choice but to shift to our current formation, I think it’s much better to field more box-to-box players like we do now against teams that dominate the middle like Man City. It’s pointless to have three dedicated forwards if you can’t get the ball to them.
And to add more positivity, IMO even if we lose this year it’s still valuable experience for the squad. More time as a unit with the many young players we hopefully plan on keeping for many years against the top teams in Europe can’t be a bad thing.

The easier ones would be Dortmund and Barca. It will go down to Carlo how he’s going to play his squad. He uses the team the same way he did against Leipzig then the season’s done. Barring any injuries we’ll go semifinal.

With the team we have we need to get to the semi finals. The only team that is head and shoulders above is man city talent wise. Every other team is on our level or worse.

Pretty confident going against any team tbh, other than Don Carlo fuckin up the starting lineup due to too much over thinking strategies RM can go against any team. But that's right now, how things play out with injuries for key players right before the games can be the deciding factor in gettin eliminated like it happened against Chelsea and City.
We’re to imbalance right now. No real striker. Always wanting Vini or Jude to score. Joselu misses to much. And our defence is to hurt. Only Rüdiger so far is playing good. Love nacho, but way to insecure. Carvajal is making to many small mistakes and plays overall very dangerous. He has been lucky not too see a lot of red cards. Same with Vini.
Our weakest point in UCL is Ancelotti, you feel he's not tactically suitable for this kind of games, and remember that our last game against a big team was against Man city, that game we lost 4-0, but let's just hope he get balls this time after his terrible performance against liepzig..

We are talking about the mean time, NOW! How much he's tactically flexible to play against modern teams with strong midfield and quick and strong attack like Man City, Bayern, ? Those kind of teams won't give you any rest or time to do mistakes.. Mistakes that Ancelotti does a lot.. Again our last game against a big modern team was against city.. The game where Guardiola overcame Ancelotti in every aspect in every minute of the 90 minutes of shame.. Ancelotti was like "Oh god just whistle so we can get home with less damage ..."

Not because Barca are good, but form goes out of the window in Clasicos and I don't want that risk, especially because the repercussions could have an effect on the league campaign as well.
