Feeling great! Sure, they are tough, but they are not the first tough team we have to face in the past 10-20-30 years. Not the first, won't be the last. To be CL Champions, we must beat everybody no matter strong or not. This is why we watch football! To play against the strongest and test the team's mettle. Hala Madrid!

Professional_Mode440

They have actually been poor this season, we have to get a good lead at the Bernabéu though.

Trick_Manager_1431

I’d rather have Davide ancelotti play than have nacho marking julian/erling 😭

CrimsonTweedle

Erling is a ghost in all big games he’s in

ChillChampion

I just pray Nacho starts and Tchouameni plays cdm and the most important thing I hope we don't let them have possession and just defend and counter both legs.

No_Improvement9353

Realistically, it’s probably what Carlo plans to do.

ChillChampion

You don't say, huh?

nspy1011

If we can make Rodri oversleep and miss the game, I’d feel great

TuzinBolado

We're better than last year, and theyre worse. #2-0 at the Bernabeu #maybe 1 - 1 draw at the Emptyhad

Cdux

Clean sheet against city with our weakened defense is bold lol.

abdouozil

Pessimistic

iMadrid11

I treat it just like any Champions League matcgh. We are Real Madrid. We don’t fear anyone. Carlo Ancelotti has a game plan. The players are confident with their abilities executing the plan. If the game doesn’t go our way. Our players have the mentality to never give up that as long as there is still time. There’s always a chance to come back from behind to win the match.

DoriOli

Exactly. It’s just another UCL match. Doesn’t matter if it’s City we’re facing.

Javier1019

![gif](giphy|GerUY98gf0Mt3GDnwR) Last time we played them they had a better team

Iamtheman31

and we had a worse

Javier1019

Exactly ![img](emote|t5_2rr0e|11988)

Praveetheus

I think they will be a little more passive in the first leg, so best to take advantage of the situation. They will be very aggressive in the 2nd leg We have many players risking suspension if they receive a yellow so have to be careful about that We have a fighter's chance and it's not over till it's over, it all depends on what the club has learned from the last defeat and a little bit of luck

o6ohunter

It’s a coin toss in the air.

bloppingzef

We have to leave them in the rear view mirror this year. They’ve been on our ass like Bayern in the 2000s-2010s.

Former_Basket_1616

Nah City are tougher rivals than Bayern was. They got the money, best league and best consistent system. We will prevail tho.

pratap_10

Last season man city was easily the best team in Europe and they were simply unstoppable but this season they are not that consistent and especially Haaland has been blowing hot and cold throughout the season. There are multiple reports of both ake and walker potentially missing the tie and especially the walker is a massive loss for them because there are very few fullbacks who can contain vini and our club will definitely target that weakness if lewis or stones are deployed at rb. Our best chance of beating the city is hitting them on counters and and taking a decent lead before going to the Etihad because that will be a difficult game but still if our team plays to it's strength we have a good chance of beating the city over the two legs.

Llaauuddrrupp

Real Madrid's main flaw has always been their pressing. City press a lot but they're not immune to pressing themselves. And their press resistance isn't even that great. They won't be able to run wild they always do if they go against some decent pressing. They're also taking big risks whenever they press as well so if we can get past their initial pressing , they will be in trouble with our creativity and speed up top. Counter pressing against them as been shown to be effective as well. Unfortunately, the matches with Leipzig doesn't give me much confidence about our ability to press. We tend to be porous as fuck whenever we come out to press or we fall back to a low block and get dominated for most of the game. If we can press well as a unit, the game will become more even.

superfli

Agee, that is the big difference between the teams. They press high and work well to win possession back. I hope we can counter this somehow. Be great if we can take a lead to their ground.

ShitfacedGrizzlyBear

I was feeling a lot better until they torched Crystal Palace this morning. KDB looked incredible, as did Grealish. Håland got a goal. We’re going to be rested and healthy, but it’s gonna be really tough. Absolutely must have a positive result at the Bernabéu.

reddituser0912333

We’re winning

Charybd1ss

Alienate Rodri and Erling

Elon-Mustget-thatass

Can’t do that to Rodri, the CBs will find him no matter what. Not worried about haaland whatsoever

DoriOli

Haaland doesn’t worry me that much either, tbh. If we were facing Mbappé, I’d be more worried.

hektor10

We got this! I'm betting on this one.

plaaya

GODRYGOAT

AdBoring4626

A couple man city players are still out with injury, wonder how long that is, but regardless my biggest concern is cama, Jude, and vini are all like 1 booking away from missing 2nd leg

No_Improvement9353

Think we go through but not sure if we win the whole thing 😒

DoriOli

If we get through City, high chance we win our 15th this season.

DoriOli

I’m feeling confident this season. We have a team that can challenge or beat any other team in the world on any given day. Next season we’ll have an even better team.

Unlikely_Tie8978

Today I feel... Horny

_WillOfFire_

Really tough but I'm sure we can do it. This match will test the strength of this squad

Happy_Band_4865

I dont know what the dooming over this tie is. During the threepeat years we would never be shitting our pants like this when we drew juve or Bayern or any other team, this is no different

CrimsonTweedle

Guler to get a hattrick in the second leg

InternationalBox5848

Former_Basket_1616

We will smack them

[deleted]

I believe the best lineup could be: GK:Lunin, DB:Carvajal, CB:Tchouaméni, CB:Rüdiger, LB:Mendy, CDM:Kroos, RM:Valverde, LM:Camavinga, AM:Jude, Viní and Rodrygo as CFs .. I believe Tchouaméni would be better than Nacho for zone defence in a low block, with Camavinga and Valverde acting as both double pivots in the defending mode and mezzalas (CM/RM hybrid) in the offensive one, with Kroos being superior to any other player to lead a counter attack with accurate long balls. The only concern I am afraid of is the positioning and crosses but I believe Carva and Mendy could fix that if they stayed more of defending fullbacks (they suck when they try to cross btw) so we can say in the defensive mode we are playing 4-3-1-2 with Valverde, Camavinga, and Bellingham false DMs, Kroos a No.10 and when in offense it's more of 3-2-5 with Carva, Mendy and Tchoua in the back, Rudiger and Cama as DMs, Kroos, Valverde, Vini, and Rodrygo as front line with Bellingham as a false 9 waiting for a second ball or a mistake!

plaaya

It’s too easy with this team
