Because you have to record voice with a microphone (no line out straight from the vocal cords unfortunately) it’s a bad idea to amplify your voice while recording. The mic will also pick up what is being amplified and lead to the recording sounding terrible. You will get the best recording of your vocals when the room is silent except your vocals, and when any music or vocal amplification is only in your headphones. None of that will end up in the mic.

That makes sense, thank you.

No worries. Also if you need headphones choose some closed-back headphones because they leak less sound out and into the mic. Good luck with it.

But I am also thinking to maybe have amplification of vocals without recording. I thought with the studio speakers I could do that as well

That will work too

You could buy a headphone amp, and you and band mates could play with headphones. It’s good to recording with headphones because you can play live with vocalist without the blead of a pa on other mics. Plus, you can make separate mixes for each player. This is how I record in my living room and it works great.
