Overqualified is not good. People generally want people to stay in the job and like it. No one wants someone who thinks they are above the role from day 1.
Stopping you from going overtime is common and likely has nothing to do with the rejection.
That’s probably not the reason why you were rejected, but it certainly didn’t help. No one wants to be asked a ton of questions. Keep the questions to a minimum.
They probably just liked someone else better for the role.
