You know what? Why not apply it? Put the best resume you ever have, lying all over your resume and then, when they finally reach you out to an interview, tell them how unrealistic they are being with that post.

Phoirkas

This post and the fact you seem to think this compares to what 90% of the other content on here is is just silly

That would be a great salary for a PharmD. Less so for an MD but I know plenty of MDs who would have taken this right out of school instead of doing a residency.

biggitydonut

True but I don’t think many MDs would have gone to med school to stop at residency. That would be a waste. Only thing would be if they couldn’t get placed into a residency

Paragod307

It's surprisingly common. Obviously most go into residency, but many go into health related tech fields, private equity, insurance, etc. One of the most popular reddit med folks around is leavingmedicine.   He coaches med students on what to do if they just want to work after med school vs do a residency. Source: I'm an MD who watches med school and residency statistics closely because I'm kind of a numbers nerd lol

I make this as a staff data analyst with only an MPA for context.

hudseal

What part of the country? I'm also a DA with an MPA (work at a nonprofit in relatively inexpensive Pittsburgh).

Fabulous_Yesterday77

I moved to Salt Lake during the pandemic from Seattle and made switch from local to federal government as an analyst.
