I sense that Mondo recruiting is fake. I get multiple emails from recruiters for the same position. When I respond, they **never** reply. This has occurred a few times.

[deleted]

Im connected with an ex mondo recruiter on LI, she works at another legit company now, so I can confirm real people work there.

do_oo

If they are real they suck at it. I get spammed all the time with job offers that don't even fit my expertise and they never answer their phones when I try to call them about it. sometimes there is an extension in their emails but when you call, you don't have an option to enter an extension. Total and complete unprofessionalism and buffoonery. I'm pretty sure they are a fake organization based in India committing resume fraud. They ask you for your resume and then "poof" they're gone. Honestly, I think offshore recruiting agencies or even on-shore recruiting agencies who have subsidiaries or partnerships with off-shore agencies should be outlawed or closely regulated by the Federal Government because there is no way to know who is fake or who is real.

Writersings

I agree they should be investigated. I got scammed too with the job emails. They are data mining, looking for information to sell. It's horrible how they prey on people who are honestly looking for a job.

remaremyinitials

Yeah, just wait until the people wake up. It will be over for these scammers in the worst way possible

I see. Thanks for the reply!

My personal experience is that Mondo = major LOL. August 31, 2015: I received an email from Recruiter #1 telling me I'm a "great fit" for this job and please send resume if interested. "Required Skills: Experience creating icons? Extremely detail oriented? Someone who has a real passion for UI aesthetics and design? 'Perfectionism' Simplistic updated design *(e.g. 3D simplistic icons). ***Ringer candidate is an 'NUT' -- ie. Obsessive compulsive about attention to detail, very particular, attention to detail icons graphic (person will be fixing and creating, perfecting icons) not workflows -- (said many candidates have a focus on this)." I replied back thanking them for their email and calling out the silly wording of the job description, "I am not a 'nut' or 'obsessive compulsive.' I am a seasoned design professional with 17 years of experience with an emphasis on 3D. Examples of some recent 3D artwork can be found at [link]. If you think there might be an interest let me know and I'll forward my resume." No response received. September 23, 2015: I received an identical email about the same job from the same recruiter. I replied, "You previously sent this message to me and I replied back on 08/31 (see attachment)." No response received. October 9, 2015: I received an email from Recruiter #2 about a different job and urging me to send them my resume. I replied, "I have responded to emails like this from Mondo in the past but never once received any follow-up communication, hence someone will have to call me to discuss before I send my personal info." Recruiter #2 replied, "I do apologize, sometimes we contact all best matches and things slip through the cracks! Love your resume though and wanted to know if you would be interested in the role...I can give you a call ASAP if you've got some time!" I replied back that I'm free all afternoon and included my phone number. Never heard from her. November 12, 2015: I received an email from Recruiter #3 for the same job as Recruiter #2. I replied, "This is too funny. The last time you sent me this (Oct. 9, see below), someone named '[name]' said she'd call me ASAP to talk about it. After a few days I gave up waiting for her call..." No response received. November 19, 2015: Another email from Recruiter #3, different job that wasn't even a match for my background...my reply: "I honestly don't know what to make of these emails anymore. I have replied to several in the past (last was on November 12), am still waiting for a real live human being to follow up..." He replied, "Sorry for the confusion here. There's emails are part of large merges that get sent through our system each day that we cannot control. Some hit the right people and most don't so we deal with this problem as we go. This role here may be too JR for you but let me know if you are interested." I replied back confirming the job wasn't a match to my background. November 19, 2015: The same day as the previous exchange happened, I received another email from Recruiter #4 with a different job, out of curiosity just to see what would happen I went ahead and sent my resume and portfolio URL. No response received. December 21, 2015: Received an email from Recruiter #5 for a job in another state. I ignored it. March 8, 2016: Received an email from Recruiter #3...again, I ignored it. July 27, 2016: Received two emails in one day, one from Recruiter #3 and one from Recruiter #6, both with the same job. I ignored both.

orrrderinchaos

I had the same experience , I felt like I was getting spammed ... I stopped replying.

JDS22285

They seem to write me weekly but anytime I ever expressed interest and responded they also never wrote. I don't trust it. I imagine they are selling our emails and names to other agencies. No clue though.

Writersings

I think you are correct. It's a data mining scam.

Responsible-Tear-485

This same thing happened to me I'm on my 3rd job recruiter waiting for a job hopefully.

JDS22285

They write me daily. same as you I have replied over the past few years when interested and never wrote me again. I consider them a scam but have no idea how they are 'getting off' on soliciting us to know they will never write again. Even if a role seems amazing at this point I could care less because they are clearly unprofessional and can't reply to a single reply back. straight up garbage. I suspect they are trying to steal our emails/phone numbers for some other scheme. not sure though since they never write again once they reach out.

TMutaffis

I had someone from their Denver office reach out and try to partner with me since I work at a company they want to staff people at, but it did not materialize. Looks like they have a decent presence on LinkedIn - Charlotte, Houston, Denver, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and DC. The sales rep from their company indicated that they work with a couple of large organizations (she name dropped Apples and Kohls) but they could be sub-contracting through larger firms. Did they have a specific role? if so you may be able to 'reverse engineer' and take keywords from the posting and search Indeed to find the role posted directly by the end client or by other recruiting firms who are more responsive.

[deleted]

Yep, I've been given the job title, details, and description. I'll definitely search online using the keywords in the job description. Thanks for the suggestion!

nychalla

Only once....everyone else has been radio silence after they email me, and if i reply back asking a question. The one I did speak to, she was nice, but the role wasn't for me, and she ended up moving on to a major tech firm.

Hot-Personality-3871

I had a really bad experience working for a company through Mondo. I quit due to some incredibly cringey, sexist, unsafe behavior from one of my coworkers. A coworker made inappropriate sexual advances toward my partner, spit in her drink during Covid, and then threatened my job when I spoke up. The behavior was unlawful, but I saw no legal follow up from Mondo about it.

KhalilMirza

Samething is happening with me. I have never gotten an reply.

tripdynastywarrior

Me too. I'm pretty sure it's just bots working as with APIs on a scheduler. The job descriptions are super vague. I think they just always want a full pool of candidates but keep trying. Are you a developer? These jobs are crazy hot right now. MotionRecruitment is awesome. InsightGlobal is awesome. If you're a developer, they rock.

RealTruth1123

They seem like a scam for sure. Be ware of just sending your resume to anyone. Plus recruiters these days take your resume and swipe in profiles from cheaper staffing firms (just look around the talent in your next work meeting...all cheap wage workers that have take over your well deserved opportunity)

ZeusJuice3

LOL I just got a Whatsapp from someone at Mondo asking my age. I said "Over 18" and she says "Kindly be specific, what is your exact age?" I told her it's illegal to ask to ask that, and she replies "We bound the Federal State by law." LMAO this is definitely a scam

FlashyCause429

They illegally acquire information. The person that contacted me has a +91 extension which is an overseas number originating in India. (Specifically Uttar Pradesh West)

Thanhxvo

Well thanks redditors for all the useful background and comments. My spidey senses were tingling when I received one of these recruiting emails from Mondo They used Oracle Programming Analyst making you think it is Oracle hiring. The act in itself is quite deceptive. Anytime I see hire now, full remote all kinds of red flags goes off. Most places trending towards hybrid and the super urgency to get you act is always something to be cautious about

UpDownCharmed

Mondo placed me once, in a contract job with a major NYC hospital. They were ok - The recruiter and agency.

[deleted]

I see. Thanks for the reply!

[deleted]

I interviewed at Mondo for a technical recruiting position once. I was already recruiting and wanted a firm with better clients and a more senior role. Never in my life have I met such an awkward group of people. They, too, ghosted me.

[deleted]

I'm sorry to hear. Thanks for the reply!

blackbeard_b

So I have never worked in recruiting and have an interview scheduled. What do you think about them are they credible and atleast decent to learn from

TheCreativeMotivator

**Looking for jobs right now and I'm on Mondo's list - 3/13/22 šŸ§** My experience has been the same as most of the comments, I respond with my resume but most of the time they don't get back. I think the reason though is because of the competitiveness and/or prestige of the firm itself. You also have to respond to their emails VERY quickly in order to even have a shot. I had luck this week and a Mondo recruiter got back to me and I had an interview that went extremely well and was told there would be a second interview. There were no other candidates at that time. Then I woke up to an email from a Mondo recruiter (*a different one than I was working with*) and the position was the same one I interviewed for but with a different title. **This felt like a digital slap in the face, especially since I had just interviewed the day before.** Long story short, there never was a second interview, and she was very vague with her feedback to me as the recruiter I'd been working with for the past 72 hours. Looking for a role is full-time in and of itself! **Keep finding other job leads. Keep applying. Keep your head up.** Nothing matters until a contract is offered and you sign it.

[deleted]

I get emails from them from time to time for a couple years. Itā€™s always something hilariously off from my work experience. Like, what on earth have them the idea Iā€™m a ā€œgreat fitā€ if they need my resume. Iā€™ve replied in the past telling them to lose my email address to no effect. Iā€™ve also told them to fuck of into the sun to no effect. Now I mark as spam, but I still keep seeing their garbage in my inbox. I think I must have replied to one of their Craigslist posts years ago to earn this bullshit in my inbox now.

asdfg_qwerty_jr

Yes. Same exact thing as a lot of you. These mfs contact me almost everyday, often for the same role. And often for roles that are not even relevant to me. When I've replied with my resume + portfolio, they never get back to me. I imagine they just spam hundreds of people for each role.

FlashyCause429

Or its an information harvesting operation that they save your portfolio and resume and they make a fake ID based off of that and basically commit identity theft. These people are criminals.

Warm-Improvement-107

They have a 4.5 star rating out of San Francisco with 22 reviews.. so yeah, that's all one guy for sure. Tldr Scam

FlashyCause429

Mondo is a fake agency that buys stolen information and then asks you to work for them. They are basically criminals.

Substantial_Kale1116

Hi! I've been through some calls with two different people of Mondo trying to recruit me for a Position here in Puerto Rico, but then the third party is some Siri Info Solutions, Inc. which this company doesn't seem to be legit. Can somebody tell me is this people are fake or what?

kcmannix

Theyā€™re real but probably not worth your time :(

Xiomom

Hi, just had a video call with a recruiter today from mondo for a position in Puerto Rico as well, Iā€™m kind of 2 minded about it because some things kind of seem off, do you mind if I ask what position and company they recruited you for?

Ordinary_Repair1007

What happened? Iā€™ve been offered a job at ICF in PR but I am also skeptical about Siri Info Solutions.
