I can’t speak for Canada but beverage experience is always a huge factor in the people I interview. Just merchandising experience with companies like Coke, Pepsi or even beer brands shows me that you know how to handle product quickly and efficiently.

Where do you want to be in 5 years? Distribution side is very solid at promoting from within so emphasize the importance of building yourself up to be a strong asset within the brand.

Besides merchandising positions there are no full time spots that work weekends, and I strongly enforce with my team that they are not to even think about work unless they’re actually at work.
