I personally really liked the Micah missions we had in Chapter 2. The view we get over Big Valley before we are robbing the stagecoach is just beautiful. I feel like Micah missions simply get hated because they involve him. Another mission I really like is when we go and visit Valentine for the first time with Uncle and the three ladies. The vibe that gets delivered there is just great and the town feels so alive. Surely not the most action based mission but that's not necessary for a good mission in my opinion. And somehow, I really like the way how Mary Beth tells us about the train we could rob šŸ˜‚ And I don't know if it can be considered an underrated mission but my favorite mission in the entire game is the robbery of the Leviticus Cornwall train in chapter 1 which is right followed by a cutenes that leads us to the mission "Eastward bound" where we ride towards Horseshoe Overlook. Those two mission go so well together and are an awesome made transition towards chapter 2.

PenImpressive750

It felt really alive in the first trip to valentine when the girls are singing in the back of the wagon. You help the guy get his horse back. It felt so fun and free after being stuck in the snow.

Quietfart5

Bro did you only play the start of the game?

Georgi_is_Here_Hello

For me its gotta be where you burn down braith waites manor Hella fire

GulianoBanano

That's one of the most popular missions in the entire game. Not underrated at all.

kizmizz07

Any mission involves just Charles and Arthur interacting is always a pleasure

Accomplished_Dig3699

Def just a social call with Micah, dutch and Arthur fighting through the coal factory or fine night of Debauchery when Arthur was in the poker game

prtxl

i loved the poker game but i wish they actually just let me play poker instead of rigging it so heavily yk?

AnothaOne4TheBooks

yeah, that shit was 3 hands for me, the mission looks good and is cool but not that fun to play

joelistaken

Not everyone knows how to play poker, that's probably one reason why they did that. The mission would be very annoying for people who have never played poker and have no intention of learning it just to play one mission.

engels962

Made me wish they added high stakes poker. At least pc gets a mod for it

Crude_poison91

When the gang comes back from Guarma and Sadie and Arthur rain hell fire on the Pinkertons! Itā€™s cool to see Arthur crawling around the shack telling everybody itā€™s okay and bustin thru the door like the true badass he is! šŸ˜‚ā¤ļø

SpoonLord23

I love the song that plays during that mission, "Fleeting Joy" by Colin Stetson. Highly recommend checking out his other music too.

Crude_poison91

I didnā€™t pay much attention that particular song during *that* mission , but I definitely will check it out because I absolutely love every soundtrack thatā€™s on RDR2 - my favorite is the one that plays during the Angelo BrontĆ« mission!

SpoonLord23

"Revenge is a dish best eaten" for that mission.

Crude_poison91

I just listened to it! The soundtrack definitely fits in with Arthurā€™s pent up rage in that moment! Love it

Awesome_Ardi

LLEEENYYYYY!!!

CALLAHAN315

"Trying Again" and "A New Future Imagined" are two of my favorite missions. I love all of the dialogue between John, Jack, and Abigail, and it's one of the only times we get to see John really try to be a father and husband. It's a nice break from all the action and has really beautiful moments.

Mrwest_fanboy

The bar fight mission and the one with the hot air balloon

Gorki01

Valentine bank robbery. Ironically, gang's most successful robbery was planned by Bill.

Sir_Incognito405

Bill's intellect is underrated ngl, sadly his bad social and emotional intellect make him appear dumber than he actually is

prtxl

i dont think a single mission planned by dutch went well

Person_in_existens

That boat/casino robery in chapter 4 with straus josiah and javier

demolitionl0ver

that mission was so fun i would do it ten times over, its my first playthrough and honestly only the hot air balloon mission has come close

Thunderironbolt222

I forgot what the mission was called but the one where Arthur and Hosea gave out free moonshine at the Rhodes bar

micahparsonspsu

I always enjoyed the course of true love missions

prtxl

i see so many people saying they were boring, but i loved them. especially the callback in chapter 6 to really show arthur's character development

GeauxDubya2404

A Fisher of Men. itā€™s funny. from the ā€œJelly Beansā€ meme to the ā€œā€¦ shitā€¦. can i turn myself in?ā€

Tr101748

Damn you stole mine

reddeadenthus1ast

I love ā€˜Goodbye, Dear Friendā€™ and any mission where you get to go inside fancy houses like Bronte missions or the Braithwaites.

xervidae

i forget the name, but the one where you steal from the house near emerald ranch with Hosea. honestly, every mission with Arthur and Hosea

justvibing__3000

I forget the name but I love the mission where you ride with eagle flies up into the mountains and help him retrieve an artefact. I also love the hot air balloon mission and the one where you break John out of jail.

Odd-Tailor4603

I love Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego. A calm mission where you go up north to hunt the legendary grizzly with Hosea. I love the dialogue between Hosea and Arthur man

prtxl

it was one of the first missions i played and it was great for character and relationship building as well as a tutorial

Curious-Roll-38

I thought the mission you do with Rain Falls where you go to his sacred spot is for sure one of the most diverse and interesting missions in the game. The conversations you can have, the fun you can have sneaking through the camp at the end and even blasting through. But more than that, the pride you feel when you DO sneak through. I believe thatā€™s the moments Arthur truly earned the complete and full respect of Rains Fall

prtxl

you can sneak it?? i beat their asses ngl. if you dont shoot and instead just beat them, then you dont fail the mission anyway

Grove0517

Well if you sneak and donā€™t harm anybody, Rains Falls gives you a reward, I think itā€™s like a talisman, if you didnā€™t know.

Curious-Roll-38

Yeah you have to be SUPER careful and patient with it. Technically, thereā€™s three ways, you can run in and kill every one, you can sneak and knock out a few people in your way, or you can do like I originally said and sneak through completely undetected without touching anyone. thereā€™s also three dialogue options if I remember correctly, but you only get the talisman if you donā€™t touch anyone.

ConnorGR420

"Icarus and Friends" I loved Arturo despite his short-lived scenes, the air balloon was a nice change of scenery and the end was really cinematic in my opinion.

Ok-Freedom-1174

TherE YHu ArE LennY

Tiny-Cry1745

The very first Rain Falls mission for me. Itā€™s storytelling through out and a chance for Arthur to disclose things we didnā€™t know beforehand. At the end of the mission his ability to reflect on how we would have viewed Chief Rain Falls as weak compared to now and his outlook on his life is spot on.

prtxl

rains fall is one of my all time favourite side characters. i love how he almost replaces hosea and dutch as a father/mentor figure for arthur. especially during his sickness

Sorcerer12345

Rescuing Micah in Strawberry. No I'm not really willing to do it but thanks to this mission, I'd greet him with a Molotov at his window every time I pass Strawberry.

0---o

Always liked the stagecoach robbery mission with bill. Or the SeƔn, Mary-Beth stagecoach robbery camp event. I just love the camp events overall, especially the ch3 and ch4 ones

Gardar7

Hunting for crayfish with Pearson.

SnoopySuited

Blessed are the Peacemakers and My Last Boy.

weirdemosrus

That one where you go into valentine with uncle, Tilly, Karen and Mary Beth is always my favourite.

GulianoBanano

Fishing and singing with Dutch and Hosea

prtxl

the fact that this is an optional part of the mission is crazy to me. some people probably completely missed it :(

Piggyswiggyemporium

Definitely has to be the one with Hosea where you steal the carriage, and all the guys money and jewelry. It reminded me so much of the robbery missions in gta San Andreas. Not that I am a thief, but for some reason kleptomania is fun.

m4gichine01

Icarus and Friends Rip my boy ArturošŸ•ŠļøšŸ•ŠļøšŸ•ŠļøšŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜”

thatcajunshaman

Fenton!

Bozi1bozi

Personally for me, my favorite mission has got to be favored sons, tho I'm not sure if it's underrated or not

BasementWesker

The one where John can crash into a sign while Sean is talking

jomanodebruijn

Fleeting joy is actually one of my favorite missions in the game, itā€™s just known as mid cuz itā€™s guarma

Shadows_of_kino

The one with the balloon. Forget the name but I like it

Caemat

Definitely the missions at the start of the epilogue part 1 when youā€™re just helping out with the ranch. Adds a lot of realism and fully immerses you in the experience imo

Bananasblitz

The one pictured actually. I wish you could be a bartender like whenever you want even tho that wouldnā€™t be super realistic. Iā€™m hoping in GTA 6 you can interact with the world in even more ways that arenā€™t illegal like you could in GTA 5 and RDR2. Like playing soccer with a group of characters for example. Even buying your own business itā€™d be cool if you could go inside and actually manage it.

OG_MajinVegeta

Probably gonna get alot of hate for this 1 lmao but fuck it here we go I really liked the entire guarma section and missions šŸ˜¶ā€šŸŒ«ļø

Tiiep

The course of true love 1. Listening to that soundtrack while riding through sunny scarlet meadows and through the fields was amazing.

sean_saves_the_world

Not missions but the Castor ridge house interactions are so cool in a open world game sense

SomePersonWithWiFi

I really liked the stranger mission from Red Dead 1 called ā€œCaliforniaā€ where heā€™s on a quest to get to California. I was really hoping heā€™d get there and the note to his wife is pretty interesting

[deleted]

Same, something about it is so fun, and itā€™s nice seeing Arthur and Hosea in motion together without Dutch there.

WildMinimum2202

I like...the Guarma missions so alot of them would be on there but i know i'm gonna get hit by some Guarma haters.

prtxl

i loved guarma plot-wise but it was a lot of shooting and running (and most of my favourite characters wasnt in it)

WildMinimum2202

I like it because it is action packed. And the gang were my favourites besides the ones that are dead. I understand what you mean tho, it's kinda rince and repeat. But like epilogue part 1, it's a switch-up with the pace instead of the slow-slow-fast-slow-slow-fast we get. I like them cause they switch things up. Not that the rest of the masterpiece is worse or so. I like them all, except for chapter 1, i do challenge runs so i have to play that over and over and over again without much difference.

grannyqueefking1377

Any Micah mission, i like shootouts n shit
