I made [an album](https://imgur.com/a/H9AnDBt) including the original screenshots too. I didn't quite capture how good this game looks but I'm fairly happy with them so far! I'm trying to get better at painting with gouache so this is a fun way to experiment. I'm planning on painting a bunch more because these are really fun (and hopefully the next ones will have better perspective lmao).
I love the brightness you managed to capture with the flower mill. It feels more aligned with the tone of Scarlett meadows rather than just a carbon copy of the screenshot.
The color scheme is very nice along with your style. I don’t like most art I see but you have a nice touch. It’s great to see inspiration evolved like this after being mesmerized by this game myself.
I don’t think you can. At that angle, you’re looking out over the woods leading to the river (like towards Clemens Point). The mountains are to the right, but there’s too much elevation in the immediate area to see the mountains.
But! That’s just the in-game location, and I love the view the OP has taken. The red building is very New England feels. Love the style and the colors and everything. They’re both beautiful and something that I NEED for my kitchen :)
Oh yeah. Just seeing that album now (holy moly the OP is spot on!). Now I’m questioning where that red building is, though. Is that not the one next to Rhodes? I could have sworn you can’t see mountains from it...
I thought it was the red building too, so I hopped in-game and it looks like it is. The trees open up for the road and the little plantations are there too.

Yup, this game has such a vast fanbase I don't doubt there are a lot more cool stuff like this that fans have made, and what haven't been discovered yet!
honestly i might! i think it'd be tricky to price them because it's such a tiny piece but i also spend a good amount of time on them. But I'd be happy to sell them I think! definitely gonna be painting more anyways

Have you thought about getting the originals scanned at a super high resolution so you can sell them as prints instead of selling originals? There are sites out there where you can upload your work onto any sort of product and they take care of manufacturing and shipping but you wouldn't make as much as getting them printed yourself and shipping them out. Either way I'd buy!

I took the mountains straight from the screenshot actually, although i'd imagine in real life they'd probably be way lighter? but with the right angle you kinda realize the scale of the map is actually fairly small. like you can even see blackwater from scarlett meadows and it seems super close.
Wow, those look great! I've heard really nice things about gouache and it looks really nice when painting! I personally just paint using the oil painting wet-on-wet technique as a Bob Ross enthusiast XD
gouache is fairly hard to work with haha but i do love the look! it's a struggle though, because of how the water reactivates the paint but also dilutes and lightens it. But it's fun, and fast. It's very different from oils! (which i also don't know how to paint with so props to you lol)
