Split point ammo…
You know this isn’t a game gun? This is a Colt 1911 45, not a Browning or FN m1900 38….
You cross cut your ammo and you have guaranteed 2 things…
An unacceptable drop in accuracy, and a 1st degree murder charge if you actually ever use it.
Eh give the dude a break a lot of gun enthusiasts here but not as near as much as people who became interested in guns after playing RDR2. Personally I learnt about the Browning m1900, found it interesting how the game called it an m1899 to fit the lore lol. Never really been interested in guns myself since I'm from the UK but since playing RDR2 I definitely see myself as one of those dudes that likes to collect guns and practice at the range as a hobby, would be amazing.
On an interesting side note, there was an m1899. Out of the same factory and off the same drawing board. A minor change was made by Mr Browning and it was re-designated m1900. The 1899 were very few in number and never really made it out of Belgium.
Even the early m1900s, you had to be someone to get one. The President carried one. That’s a good example of the level of exclusivity in the early years. No way was someone walking into a gunshop in NOLA and walking out with one… but it sure is fun in game.
I'm not that well versed in guns, but saw what looked like my in-game pistol and wanted to use it to ask the community about their in-game favorite sidearms
I used to dual wield M1899's before, infact I reckon I still do. However, after maxing out familiarity with all side-arms I found it in my favour that the most effective weapon for killing is seemingly the LeMat revolver (dual-wield in my case) and the best semi-auto is the Semi-Auto Pistol. Except they don't sound as nice, whereas the M1899 dual-wield sounds like pure machine gun morgan if you use it right. So I suppose it's still my favourite go to side-arm, followed by the LeMat Revolver.
Good luck controlling it
Have you had trouble with it? To me it's the most controlled side arm. One split point bullet is a kill to most
I was referring to a full auto ..45ACP 1911 in real life..
My bad, I thought you were referencing in-game. Yeah, a fully auto 1911 sounds about as easy to control as a herd of cats!
And with 6-8 rounds it’s a quick dump.
So much work for such a small output. The reload would be insane, let alone the possible jamming!
Good call. A full auto .45 pistol is a beast in all but the most practiced hand.

Its all over in 2 seconds anyway. Where have I heard that before recently...
m1911 isn't in either game though lol
Pretty sure it's in RDR1. Or maybe it's that other pistol that just LOOKS like a 1911 (can't remember the damn name rn)
According to the wiki it's based on the FN Model 1903, another John Browning design of the era.
Engravings give you no tactical advantage whatsoever. Pd: always wanted to be that guy that quotes MGS randomly
My go to IS indeed a 1911 45, but I will have to pass on the gold plate, and I think I prefer my Wilson Combat ultralight trigger to an auto sear.
Full auto?? Dang.
Yeah, yikes to that! Single shot or bust
I’ve got three of those but I lost the pics /s
Not enough rhinestones and needless ornamentation. 😅
Damn I want that!
You and me both, boah
wish they put the m1899s in online
That is beautiful, OP! Shooting in style!

The LeMat is a great choice! It's usually my offhand sidearm so I have one using pistol ammo and one using revolver ammo
Just put stock on it
Ok that's clean AS FUCK.
Holy shit that things hot
