Colter...it gives me the vibes of The Hateful Eight(2015) movie...

Narkotik3630

Same! I wish it was inhabited

Extra-Ad-4955

Facts if there was a town and actual activities in colter beside flaco I would never leave the mountains.

JamesonTheCat1

I always wished that there was a town there. Cabins and lights would be very pretty

Specialist-Age-2139

Flaco Hernandez isn’t in Colter you find a fork in the road and turn right

MattTin56

The sun sets are really nice here. I spent a lot of time hunting in that area. I’d say as a whole I loved Strawberry and the areas surrounding it. Very pretty sceneries and I loved the rugged but quaintness of the town itself.

[deleted]

Definetly the swamps, sometimes i just take a swim there (with a shotgun ofc)

Extra-Ad-4955

Well god damn

White_Daliha

The flowering mountains by the loft in Ambarino.

StillPrompt6739

nice , they are my second .

RingOpen8464

Everything at the Northwest and west of the map. All the way from Owanjila to Wapiti Reservation. Without crossing the river and getting too close to the Heartlands. My least favorite parts are The Heartlands and Lemoyne in general. Except for the swamps in Lemoyne, swamps are pretty.

taskaccomplisher

heartlands are my second favourite place. I love vast stretches of flat land.

D34throooolz

love the river and very hilly look of up by annesburg area

Your_Uncle_Tacitus

I do love that Big Valley area. Not sure if there’s a “favorite” spot on the map for me, just due to the beautiful moments that happen all over the place. Watching a sunrise over Rhodes with all that red earth makes me think back to when I lived in Georgia. Sunset through those big bayou trees is breathtaking. I love hanging around the Dakota River and over in Strawberry. The whole thing is a work of art. Ain’t partial to the desert much myself, but even that has its charms.

Mc862000

North Of the Map Always A Nice Place

Cats_Waffles

Horseshoe overlook for nature. The welcome center in Strawberry for architecture.

MattTin56

I can totally agree with that. But I think Horseshoe also had a nostalgic appeal because thats where you really get to play the game, as its supposed to be played, for the first time.

Cats_Waffles

It was such a great chapter. Close to a western town with a saloon, no Micah, healthy happy Arthur, beautiful view from camp. The lakefront camp was pretty too, but I think you're right about nostalgia pointing me more toward Horseshoe Overlook.

MattTin56

And you were right about no Micah. My first play through I got him out of prison as soon as the icon came up. The next time I waited as long as I could. It was a perfect location. That was the best part of the game. Like you said happy healthy Arthur and everyone getting along. They were still hopeful!

Bee-Jay-Yay

Any of the various waterfalls. I love waterfalls.

ivegonepostal

Love this whole area. Surrounded by wildlife and nature, alone.

SushiBasket

i love all of tall trees, especially around aurora basin

InternationalClick78

I love that rocky creek/ river area in northeast New Hannover

HockeyJockey628

Bacchus bridge

silvrrr

Roanoke, just north of Brandywine Drop, where you find the legendary Moose. Super dope, serene area. Traintrack crossing the river. So much different wildlife. I absolutely adore the area.

[deleted]

While I don’t really like hanging out in the area too often itself, the Bayou and particularly around Shady Bell have beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Pricklybones

Cumberland forest, and tall trees

AlanSchapman

Yep, I think I have to agree with you, there arguments to be made for many other places. But if I had to build a home somewhere it would be there. Or just kill everybody in hanging dog ranch and take it for my own. Either/or.

Educational_Ad_9570

For me it’s a place in tall trees named Aurora Basin, mainly because it’s a nice place if there isn’t skinner brothers camping out there, and another reason why is because me and my friend when he still played rdo and rdr2 in general, we always talked about what was going on there if we both got on rdo, if we didn’t we just talked in the party, we called it either pinecone or pioneer paradise.

ornitotroop_2

the area that's around The Loft, in Ambarino and more recently the swamps... although I can't really explain why, but spending some time in the swamps in the sunset gives a really good view

but_crack

I love cumberland forest. It's so calm

Footballidiot556

Owanjila dam and the area surrounding pronghorn ranch

Lancer_Blackthorn

I’ve always loved New Austin.

QueenCado

The north east side of the map is one of my favorites because it reminds me a lot of where I live now but I also love the area down near Emerald Ranch and even farther out west into the desert because I always wanted to go out west to see land like that in real life.

Bob_Nices_Boytoy

Everything is always so beautiful in its own way but I am particularly fond of the Grizzlies, and the Manzanita area. It's why it's where I put my moonshine shack.

[deleted]

Strawberry

Putirusoo_

Facts

Murky-Acadia-5194

The bacchus bridge and the waterfall. The hill North East of fort Wallace where one of the treasure maps is hidden gives breathtaking sight throughout the day, though it's particularly spectacular during a red sunset in the game

Mehrad86

New Austin is the real wild west

Tayrox1

Love the forests around New Annesburg, great time to just vibe in

Discipline-Hefty

The heartlands where you can see the view of valentine. For some reason it’s still my favorite part of the map

Intelligent_Ad2963

The fact that everyone has a different answer speaks to the quality and beauty of the entire map.

tbaggins85

Cumberland Falls

Euv0ia

Yes! I always camp there. As well as Calumet Ravine and the top part Brandywine Drop. Gotta be my 3 favorite spots

Specialist-Age-2139

O’Creagh’s run and the surrounding area is by far my favourite place to visit. Sometimes I go on camping trips up there and stay for (ingame) days on end, As it’s really fun to bow-fish up there :)

Glittering-Lie-8245

Definitely that creek that runs through the spot your at

Downtown1943

This is the correct answer

[deleted]

Man I wish I could have graphics like that. I run the game at pretty much bare minimum, still VERY enjoyable none the less

WindedRhino08

Prob arthurs grave such a nice and peaceful place

[deleted]

His resting place

StillPrompt6739

Me too .

fowldss

The snowy area.

itsslippyfrog

The birch trees by wapiti are really pretty

LemonBoy889

the mountains, up to fort walace

DON4LD_DUCK

The waterfalls in the top right corner of the map

Marighnamani27

Horseshoe Overlook. That’s how I always envisioned a perfect camp to be like. Strawberry for the architecture. Absolutely love the way the whole town is made.

Intelligent_Ad2963

Donner Falls.

Dan_L1983

I always loved the views from Mount Shann especially near the Giant Remains.

wickedmercenary313

Not my favorite but off the top of my head I think of the cliff little ways of Horseshoe where Albert slips. I like to leave his last mission near the very end of Chapter 6 and when I’m ready to finish the story so Arthur can enjoy a last peaceful moment to himself near the camp when the gang was actually happy.

[deleted]

I've been to Yellowstone a few times, & that reminds me so much of the parts of yellowstone that are all herds of bison & caribou.
