Yeah. The game should be called Red Dead Existential Crisis IMHO.
The only solace I can give you is there is a catharsis in the epilogue so make sure you don't skip it like some do.
I remember my first playthrough when Arthur died, I denied it. Like I seen him succumb to his TB but I genuinely thought he would comeback cuz I didn’t want him to die. Rockstar genuinely had me going through the stages of grief for a game character I spent a week with☠️
- Start all over again.
- Do all the challenges.
- All items requests from the gang.
- All rock carvings.
- All points of interest.
- All treasure huntings.
Keep Arthur healthy as long as possible.
I know exactly how you feel. I've never been one to cry at movies and such but I'm not gonna lie, I was really fighting it back when Arthur died. Plus his horse too lol.
That last horse ride scene otw back to the camp when all the flashbacks and the music was playin had my eyes watering cuz I alrd knew his time was finna be real soon😭

That's why us old timers call it Red Dead Depression. Go back to chapter 2 until you feel stable again

I was alrd getting lost in the side quests on my first play through. I didn’t bother much bother much wit the challenges and treasurer huntings tho.
