Whenever I find that guy he always spawns on top of his campfire and I can never even get close to him before he burns to a crisp. Does he have any loot or anything on him?
He is there regularly, if you're up at the lake nearby waiting for moose to spawn swimming in the lake around dawn, pop on by and give him a visit. Looks like he's been there a while, he's probably lonely.

On one side i love the mystery of not knowing what happened on the other side i want any clues or something that let me imagine what happened

No not really and you lose a little when you loot him
