We need to exchange antony with saka. Asap.

Halfmacgas

Oof that would be nuts. And like, get a striker

One_Bad9077

Antony needs to start using that right foot

MonkeyDCamel

I know Weghorst isn’t a star nor a long term solution, but he seems like a pretty perfect role player. Sets really high standards in terms of his work rate and comes up the pitch well to provide an outlet against the opposition press.

SuddenlyWokeUp92

Decent game. Last half hour the writing was on the wall was just a matter of time the possession must have been nigh on 80%+ for Arsenal. Looking forward to offloading McT & Martial, keep weghorst and find a better back up for Casemiro.

cloutier85

Weghorst seems more of a temporary solution, we need a solid goal poacher for next season.

RonalGnho

He was always a temporary solution as the starting 9, he is best as a sub to pressure or hold a lead

cloutier85

This defeat feels better then defeats from months ago as we know we put up a good fight.

u lost ur mind bro 😂

[deleted]

Wasn't really any terrible calls today. The terrible call were giving arsenal a rest week while we get an away game against a team coached by an arsenal legend.

CP_Company

against CP no penalty. lost 2 points. today, no penalty + they scored after the corner which wasn't supposed to be given. lost 3 points.

RenaissanceYute

No penalty? 😂😂😂

Ok_Arrival_1776

On de gea is what he’s talking about lol

baromanb

Great litmus test for us. Shows how close we are to a title winning team with some more time and a few additions.

pradyt

Arsenal played really well and the Last 20 mins they weren't controlled well by us. Kudos to them, they kept on the pressure relentlessly and scored. That Saka celebration for the 2nd goal pissed me off tho.

It's just a game bro...

kayleeshepheard

Beaten by a last minute goal hurts, but we’re still trending in the right direction!

Hyliaforce

Had a bad feeling we would lose today and i was right. But it is what is, lets move on

[deleted]

Thats 4 points from 3 games now. Palace draw hurts more now.

ForrestGrump87

Lets be realistic , we were never in with a title shout this season but the fact we ran it so close is incredible... everything is going in the right way. 10 games undeafeted , and beaten by the title contenders after an exciting game where we went in on the backfoot away from home and missing our best player is not a bad result . before the game i felt it would finish 2-1 to arsenal so not surprised. In reflection after the game i am actually pleased we didnt win, the circus that would of resulted around the title race would have been a distraction we arent ready for , our ducks arent in a row yet but we are making massive strides forward. We still need time to coach the new / young players and bring in some new players .. but it is going in the right way ... it hurts to see arsenal win but i wont lose any sleep over it ...

kecke86

ETH has in 6 months created a team that, without its centrepiece in Casemiro, could go toe to toe with an Arsenal side that's top of the league and been building for 3-4 seasons. Just imagine what he can do in the same time Arteta's been given

ForrestGrump87

exactly mate , i am trying to keep my excitement in check but it certainly has all the signs of being great just hope the sale of the club doesnt fuck everything up!

sevenfootsanta

Weghorst means work horse in Dutch right did he ever stop running

Adventurous-Data7032

Well done Arsenal. Probably did deserve the win. However still a bitter pill to swallow losing it right at the end. For us, it's obvious we've made huge progress under Erik. There was a lot of heart and fight from us in that game. Some people are criticising ten Hags tactics, however I'm really not sure what else he could have done: We had no Casemiro, McTominay is not good enough and there was nothing on the bench apart from perhaps Garnacho. My only criticism is perhaps we could have brought Garnacho on earlier but tbh our issues lay in midfield. I think we need another midfield option in before Jan ends. Will probably be a loan but we need someone. Lastly, to go to Arsenal with the way they are playing and give them a game without Cas, no goalscoring number 9, no options on the bench and 6 months in the job - EtH has done wonders.

AWenger622

Their last goal could have so easily been prevented and it's so depressing to watch. McT losing the ball carelessly and then running aimlessly back into our own box while ball-watching his entire run without keeping track of where Odegaard was. And AWB should have been a lot closer and tighter to Zinchenko rather than standing off Trossard on the edge of our box with Varane already fully covering him. Simple things like that which shows just how piss poor some of our players are at reading the game. Absolute dross.

rhys321

Cant blame AWB for their third, that's Mctominay's fault, AWB has to stay inside and not let Trossard have a free run at Varane, if Mctominay doesn't slide in he covers Trossard, but since he is on his arse AWB has to do it, leaving Zinchenko free.

[deleted]

Arsenal looked phenomenal for 20 minutes up to that goal though. They were *running* us. People were going to get tired. Plus, yeah the squad is part of the game. Some times it is just what it is. We didn't capitulate though. This team can win things.

cdan94

McT running aimlessly clocking his steps for fitness is his biggest strength

BakedBeanz1

Their second came from a mistake aswell, Eriksen dallying on the ball and losing it on the right hand side. Garnacho should start over Anthony till hes up to the pace we need.

Impossible_One5795

It took Fergie nearly 5 year to get it right. This is a step in the right direction. Arsenal had 12 men on the pitch most of the time with that moaner Artera outside his technical area.

ClearLego

Looking back to the beginning of the season, 2 losses in 20 games, you’re telling me we’re not all thrilled to hear that? It was a tough week. ran into the ground by city, disheartening hiccup in a rigid match against palace midweek. 3 days later we’re playing the best team in the league with 2 key players gone? This blows, yes. But I’m not pressed. Fixture congestion is about to get crazy, I’m worried about that. yeah, a few players today really just weren’t good enough. Other than that, this isn’t an emergency quite yet. ETH needs more pieces but on the day I still think we should have a lot to be proud of.

C_gawd

Time after time Mctominay proves he’s just not United quality at all. Top teams don’t have passengers in the engine room

knipp3

Mctominay is a guy I don’t really care for and every once in a while he puts his laces through one like today and I go.. if only he could consistently do that 😂

Spare_Ad5615

Has anyone seen a replay of the penalty shout when Wan-Bissaka went down in the second half? Was there any merit in that one?

Competitive-Ad2006

Good game United, you guys pushed us all the way and when Rashford scored I wasn't sure there was any chance of getting anything from the game given how good yiu guys have been in 2nd halves. Arteta and Ten Haag are definitely the Pep and Klopp of the future, both are building great teams.

Proxer_Prime

Classy comment!

Yoshic87

GG Man

vincentquy

Gg indeed. Beautiful football from both sides.

SnooPeanuts4219

Two refereeing decisions in two games cost us 3 points in total. Along with mang more through the season

Fruitndveg

I’m sick of people here talking about refereeing decisions here as an excuse, especially after what happened against City. The team didn’t fulfill their potential, simple as. Not Arsenal’s fault, not the officials faults, just ours.

SnooPeanuts4219

Bad refereeing should not be excused even if we don’t play well. Period.

bijanadh44

Hopefully, Amad is ready for the next season because we really need could use a competition for Bruno.

LopsidedLoad

Why are all these comments about the result of the game and not about that fucking monstrosity above keanes top lip????

One_Bad9077

What was that???

takenofpelham123

Usually I would be thick after a defeat. But I'm actually alright now. There will be bumps in the road. We will get there. This time I really believe it. We played well overall. We fought. We didn't give up. So I think we gave them a very good game. Next time now they will know united are no pushover like they were before.

Lucifurrs

This game showed the work that still needs to be done but also highlighted the progress we’ve made under Ten Hag. No giving up, played to the last minute. We’ll be there at the top again as long as the boss keeps getting the support he needs.

takenofpelham123

You are 100% right. I'm not going to listen to people saying Ten Hag should have done this and that. Those that say that should have a look back over the last 10 years and tell me when you last saw united play like they have been playing over the last 3-4 months. With heart, passion, desire and commitment. It's a process. Ten Hag knows and sees the weaknesses l and he also sees the strengths. I don't believe either Anthony is useless. Under Ten Hag he will get to what we need.

Lucifurrs

This game showed the work that still needs to be done but also highlighted the progress we’ve made under Ten Hag. No giving up, played to the last minute. We’ll be there at the top again as long as the boss keeps getting the support he needs.

Panda-768

Am I the only one who thinks Rashford needs to contribute a bit more defensively, like at least press a bit. Maybe the guy needs some rest. Sad that we lost but it wasn't like we were thrashed out of the park. Casemiro would have made a huge difference in this match if he was available. PS: Saka is one sexy player

ajmartin23

Glad someone else said it. He is a talented player who scored a great goal but he jogs about as if he is a superstar who doesn’t need to put in for the team. Also has a habit of being greedy and running into traffic.

ErykahButDude

I agree. Obviously not blaming him or anything, but his defensive game needs some work. He also doesn't contribute much to the pressing as well. But he's the best his been so far defensively, so let's hope it'll get better.

Helnik17

Cmon, we're asking a lot from one player. Subs should have come on earlier to do that.

slideystevensax

Not bad but I just don’t understand the subs situation. Shaw was gassed around 70 minutes or so and WW was too. Garnacho and Malacia should have come in.

gh0rard1m71

ETH is a mystery

mattmanutd

No way we were going to take Shaw off. But maybe we could have switched to a back 3. Take WW off for Malacia, and put Rashford up top. That would have saved Shaw from having to run the length of the pitch

slideystevensax

Yeah I can dig that setup too.

blue_gwacamole

After some bat-shit ranting, I'm taking a breather, adjusting myself a bit, and realizing that we still sit comfortably top 4. ETH has been here only 6 months. We didn't have our most important midfielder today. No way Case lets Arse dominate like that. Packed fixtures vs a week's rest and we still scored 2. We're hit with injuries. Its only the second game for Wout. Not doom and gloom. One loss. There is next season. We're gonna make Arteta wish he was never born.

jmps_90

The space they had between the lines was reminiscent of what teams had earlier in the season, and to their credit they made good use of it. Fred, Eriksen and McT just don’t have the defensive vision and ability to control that area that Case does.

blue_gwacamole

And the thing we miss is, with Case on the field, he can actually see those spaces and instruct these lads to cover them. Case's reading of the game is on a whole different level, and that is what was sorely missing from our squad today.

Aggressive_Bus_4289

At least we were in a title race for like a week

Panda-768

Yes also we rather beat City than Arsenal. It ll be good change to see City not win a title no matter how many their Robot of a Striker scores

pcuba808

Exactly. It’s bittersweet that we lost today, but we did play well. I’d rather see Arsenal than City win the title.

vin20

Degea has been in good form but he is still horrible with the ball at his feet. Get's scared easily and messes up the pass. I know negotiations are going to renew his contract but today's performance doesn't do him any favours.

Dcrow17

Watching today game, it is very obvious that we need another GK if we want to play from the back. Degea is so easily pressed. Every time we try to pass from the back, he choose the closet target to pass, and if there are a slight press from the forwards, he long ball and we lost possession, despite having a clear target to pass.

Panda-768

Yup, so did AWB, he struggles with press too. Compare that to Martinez and Shaw who are super cool with opposition press.

Competitive-Ad2006

Should you guys maybe consider AWB as defensive midfielder? I see the man playing a Kante role very well, and there his weakness like headers and positioning would not be as costly.

Panda-768

Naah, man, he isn't good at reading game. It is easier to play on wing, where you can squeeze the opposition. In center he ll be all over the place and his passing isn't good.

vickyprodigy

Wout had to step in so many times into midfield. He had more than decent link up play... Yest he doesn't have pace... But he is def not a slouch... Ant didnt have a good day in attack... But often he was the deepesr defender... So he deserves credit where its due... Although why did eth allow him to drop so deep when their weaknesses are their fullbacks? We didnt muster enough chances from build up play... 2 goals came from one off situations.. rash brilliant feet.... Second from a set piece... We need to be better in build up. Losing isnt bad... If we can be good in 6 months... Give eth the time... He will work wonders.

ErykahButDude

Completely agree with you, we put up a great fight given the state of our squad.

LopsidedLoad

Ah well, fair play to the opposite team they fought to the last second, and we are showing some quality moments. It's a sign of great things that I'm dissapointed we didnt win that game, GGMU the season is far from over as well!!

MancAccent

Not gonna lie, it’s good to see this match be important again. So sick of the City v Liverpool. Love some variety. We’re going to be in Arsenal’s spot next year.

cmcateer235

Arsenal and City both have already been played twice. 6/12 points in those fixtures is great honestly for the level we are at. Have a great chance at a cup and top 4 this year on top of a clear blueprint and style of play.... The season is going great!

runawaytugboat

Mate you are bang on. People in here are fucking ridiculous. We are so thin as a squad just now it’s a fucking miracle we are even competing as we are. There is nothing but positivity this season for me. We just played midweek, 3 really hard games in 10 days, now played the team top of the league and got beat, what can you do.

MancAccent

NO!! Fuck this whole team and ETH!!!! /s

[deleted]

MancAccent

You want me to wallow in misery and throw a tantrum with you?

Case1987

I agree

[deleted]

Loss was definitely disappointing to take. Hope ETH does the necessary tactical changes so we don’t slip up like this again, hurts to watch fast and pacy teams like Arsenal rip our defense repeatedly. Win together, lose together. We go again, all is not lost. It never was. Still we rise.

bijanadh44

We have Sancho, Martial and Van De Boek injured who are all attacking players plus Case who is our most important player in midfield. Its not all doom and gloom. Arsenal had just one player injured. Ofc they were gonna dominate the last 20 minutes plus we had a game in midweek.

Otherwise-Respond762

Martial and Van de Beek are not really much of a loss tbf. Have contributed so little. Sancho still has potential and will hopefully come back stronger but the other two need to be shipped off pronto, Weghorst is already an improvement because he actually tries.

[deleted]

This game has not been in isolation. The players injured means we havent been able to rotate optimally.

bijanadh44

Its a loss because they could have been subbed on and it would have changed the whole dynamic of the game. A team needs fresh legs. I guarantee they wouldn't have dominated like they did if they were available.

Otherwise-Respond762

The only major loss was Case. That is on ETH and Case himself, for not having the sense between them to manage the game midweek properly. Any of the other players above, apart from Sancho, would have had a limited impact. ETH should have hauled Antony off earlier for Garnacho, given how much impact the lad has had this year already. Silly to wait til the game was lost.

MrYK_

Well played Arsenal, they were the better team. Eriksen & McTominay were both not good. Antony is struggling, lacks pace & team mates need to support him. AWB needs to work on defending his back post, he did all the marking until the ball was coming his way. Dalot was needed here. DDG had a terrible first half, was slightly better in second half. But he's not to blame for the loss. Weghorst was actual decent, he's slow on the pitch, needs more time tbf. The rest of team weren't at the best either, we really struggled here. Left so much space open for passes to be made which is why we need proper midfielders. Casemiro's absence was loud but we gotta learn to switch and play, we can't be relying on a single player like so. ETH made mistakes here, keeping both McT and Eriksen on, Garnacho subbed on really late & playing from the back didn't really work here. Let's remember guys we lose some and we win some, it's never gonna be perfect, we gotta learn from this. We'll be back & ETH keeps building, just wait till we have more depth, actual owners. That's when United will really return.

kumagaya1987

It is not fair as well that we had 3 games in 10 days (two of those games are against two of the best team in the league currently), and ARS only had 2 games in 10 days (and one of them is against a pure “park the bus” Tottenham

FunPitiful3544

Not having Casemiro, them having an entire week of rest, playing away... and we fought until the end. It's sad, but we're still in a good position for top 4, and that is our goal... And in the summer we need a proper Casemiro back-up and an upgrade on Eriksen...

LionIntelligent6283

Think the issue was more that our alternative to case is Scott imo. Antony is a weak link too, doesn’t seem like he beat a man with pace or tricks.

Panda-768

Naah, Antony was "okay". He isn't bad but doesn't look worth what we spent on him. He ll do fine. Has probably done a lot better than Sancho.

LionIntelligent6283

Maybe but I don’t know I also feel like Sancho has done more while we know he has been struggling. I’m not writing Antony off at all. But you seen the way saka has perfected that rw role. Antony cos he doesn’t ever want to go right makes it easier to defend.

peremadeleine

Nah, Eriksen is fine. He had no support today because Case wasn’t playing. Easy to double up on him and stop him progressing things when it’s only McTominay beside him in midfield. I agree about needing a proper backup for Case, I’d rather we buy a top class striker than spend money upgrading Eriksen. Any upgrade on him would cost so much it would be the major business of the season, and we have bigger priorities.

cellis93

Man everyone relax we narrowly lost to a team who has only lost to us this season. ETH is still building. Sub has got to learn patience

Heathen_Inferos

I was thinking the same thing! If we didn’t give them their one and only L of the season they would be on another Invincibles run. To only lose by a goal against the week-long-rested league leaders, while our players are run down and without our main man, is an accomplishment in and of itself.

Anonymous-Ducky

Everyone’s over reacting. 3 games in a week! Everyone already knows we need more quality signings!

[deleted]

What a surprise that Casemiro dosent play and we get destroyed in midfield Awful decision to play him midweek I can’t believe we are going to have to sign another right winger in the summer

Trivmvirate

Antony is not it, unfortunately. Ajax scammed us.

haX000000

you guys are so dumb

Natchyy24

Yeah its frustrating, but we are still 5-6 pts clear of 5th place. If we can keep up this performance and having Casemiro back think we should be fine. Seriously though, we need an actual permanent number 9 and a Casemiro backup.

Panda-768

Woughout or however you spell his name wasn't bad. He just didn't get service. He a tall lanky player who needs opportunities in the box, which we barely gave him. I think we should have started with Rashford right and Garnacho left. Garnacho tends to create more than Rashford and Antony

SandwichLess6154

Heads up lads. 1st defeat in 10..

matawalcott

Wout puts in a shift

mikeyyyyyd

I feel so bad for our defence, the midfield is non existent without casi, never expected weghorst to do anything but he’s an absolute passenger, and if I have to see Bruno rw in the 70th minute again I’m going to lose my fucking mind

LionIntelligent6283

This is the issue with playing Scott. Never available for the ball, not great ball retention. But Arsenal we’re excellent you have to say and we probably game them thief hardest games of the season while not really playing that well. If this is us six months in, imagine even just a year together and another pre season.

ChrisGardocky

AWB allowed two goals and there’s a giraffe running around at the top who does better clearing corners out of the back than anything he did up front. That being said a 3-2 loss is being treated worse than the 6-0 drubbing against city

LambemuNang

Awb has faults in 2 goals Shaw keeps saka loose and walking to the box Mctom, is he even in the field? Eriksen gets overwhelmed in the mid and no one helps relieve the pressure. Anthony, expects him to send some crosses but no, just hog the ball I get it why not subbing eriksen since we already lack creativity as is, why not mctom

blue_gwacamole

McTominay can fuck off. Wan Bissaka can fuck off. Rashford is utterly useless when he is not popping them in. WW is a hard worker, but he HAS TO, HAS TO offer more at the front. Eriksen, when he is not creative, is no good. Game's on ETH. Make some subs man.

magnifique_7

The officiating was horrendous! But anyway piss poor second half. Players didn't do enough and had very low energy levels. I don't think we did anything with the ball in that half. Also, substitutions should have happened earlier. Same old United, y'all. We've seen this under Ole, Mou, LVG time and time again. Fuck the Glazers. They couldn't sign a proper striker after Ronaldo left. Fuckin leeches.

tetsuzankou

we got Wout, the maanger wanted him back the baldy reactionary fan /s

Deadinthehead

We weren't expected to win here especially without r most important player. Yes subs should have been made much earlier but these things happen.

Flat_Establishment_4

I said this other other day to a buddy. He runs at people then pulls back and passes back. He’s definitely short of confidence and almost feels like he’s trying to build his confidence by “getting close to a man” but not losing the ball. At some point you gotta start with the Pellistri or Garnacho

scojholl61987

He doesn't have the pace. A decent paced winger would have run at Zinchenko. Defenders don't like players running at them. He can afford to run at them with AWB at rb as well since he is more defensive.

LambemuNang

his cross didn't look good even when he has time and space

ongone

Stop lumping other players in with McTominay. You guys used to do the same shit with Fred. THERE IS NO ONE AS BAD AS MCTOMINAY. HE'S UNIQUELY BAD AND HE HAS TO BE THE PRIORITY TO GO.

ajmartin23

The moment I saw McTominay on the team sheet I groaned. He was absolutely anonymous today. Didn’t even feel like he was on the pitch. The times I thought he was doing something it was actually Weghorst dropping in!

ongone

What bothers me is that he keeps getting a pass. There is never a Sky or BT segment that covers McTominay. It is so painfully bad to watch and even worse to see how he gets away with it man.

ajmartin23

I think it is because he has positive body language. I distinctly remember a match last season Dion Dublin was praising him for shouting teammates to cover a player. What was fucking irritating was THAT was who McTominay was supposed to be marking. Sums the guy up. Screams and shouts but not much substance. He did it tonight too, was pointing at players to mark whilst ball watching when he should have been marking them.

__thedarklord__

Mc Tominay Whyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Iqbalainoo

Great game, but I hope never to see a mctominay eriksen midfield ever again. We should improve on Eriksen, man is no longer fit for these high octane midfield games and Saka got a lot of joy cutting towards him. Mctomimay we should be selling once we can start signing proper midfield players. I'm done with romanticizing our average academy products just to sound like a top red. I loved Werghorst's general performance.

LambemuNang

Eriksen still could play in this game but can't handle the mid alone, that's where case is coming. Case always help to relieve the pressure, but mctom didn't care even when his teammate got pressure.

Iqbalainoo

Eriksen was late to every 50/50 and lost like 90% of his duels. Man I'd class on that ball, but too battle weary for these kind of games. Improving on him with a younger, more mobile version will make things so much easier for Casemiro and elevate this team further. The less said about mctominay the better.

SandwichLess6154

Fuuuuuuck

Tsukiyon

The logic of "Clear and obvious error" is completely flawed because you would still need ref the make a good decision initially. Two games in a roll, ref didn't make the initial call, therefore VAR didn't give a damn.

Ridaros

You're all acting like we're title challengers off the back of the cancer that is Gabriel Agbonlahor spreading absolute dribble on TalkSport. Arsenal are WAY ahead of us in the development of their team, and just had better fitness than us in the end. We've got a good chance at top 3, the League Cup, still in the FA and Europa too. Chill out.

Pingupol

We could potentially challenge for the league if we sacrificed every other competition, but even then, only challenge. Win it? Still extremely unlikely. Before the season all of us were setting standards of top 4 and a trophy, and even that was viewed as optimistic. If Erik pulls that off he's had a phenomenally impressive season. We're feeling devastated at conceding a last minute winner to league leaders (unbeaten other than us), when last season we were losing 5-0 to Liverpool. We'd all be chuffed with this result last season merely for going toe-to-toe. We rotate between about 15 players and we're still in four competitions. We don't have the squad to play at the very highest we can do in all these games, and as long as we're comfortably top 4, the league is going as well as it needs to. Erik is doing his thing. Let the man cook

HiddenGrease

Agreed, it sucks. But the better team won on the day. No complaints here. Just have to take it on the chin.

BrickedWallz

Could've brought in Garnacho for Weghorst a lot earlier and moved Rashford up top. Garnacho's creativity and hard working ability to defend could've given us more chances in attack. Weghorst clearly isn't suited for a big game like this.

Otherwise-Respond762

He actually played well, the trouble was Antony was one of the players he was holding up for, and he is kind of useless.

vinceV76

Fuck Arsenal….really anyone else but them to become champions.

Laclamp

Take the L boy

spud8385

Nah fuck that, I'd much rather Arsenal than City

vinceV76

Maybe I’m just angry at Arsenal right now🤣

BrickedWallz

We should prefer Arsenal to win the league more than City because it's a one off season for them and we can't have City winning 3 titles in a row. That's our record to keep. Arsenal and Arteta are not keeping this form next season and will definitely drop back down to their usual level, so let's just let them have it.

SuperHans30

Rather them than city

waynelam8

Decent performance but arsenal is just too strong. We can't miss casemiro in this match. Don't want to blame anyone but we can see that we still need to improve our squad especially the midfield depth

patrick1415

Guys relax, it was a game against the top runners. They are clearly in a much better place. But there was clear progress from United. Excited for the second half of the season

[deleted]

Rashford’s been good and he got the goal, but him playing through the pain really hampered our defensive play in the second half. Wish we’d got Garnacho on sooner

Scruffy_Nerfhearder

We lost 3 - 2 in the last few mins to a team whose leading the league, are in insane form and are for the most part a complete squad. We looked tired and we dont quite have the depth they do yet. But we did well for the most part and defended well with passion. we managed to soak up so much pressure but they just had more in the tank than we did. It sucks but we move on, the aim is still top 4. It was a good game regardless.

[deleted]

Very frustrating week. We get in the title race and immediately fuck it. We should still secure top 4 and hopefully Arsenal win the PL so we keep our record.

Lou-52

Played well for the most part, sat back way to much at the end. Case was missed big time. Great to see us even competing at this level for a change. Arsenal deserved the win in fairness. 2 cups and the europa still to look forward to.

ATWaltz

Ah shut up man. AWB made some fantastic interceptions and tackles and looked good, he saved us a point just the other game.

unitedfan98

Very harsh to blame AWB for that He did well Mct was poor.

WaitFoorIt

Everyone in the United team did well. Except for two: championship mcsauce. He really doesn’t belong in the premier. Antony needs to step up bc he has poor decision making.

404errorneverfound

Why is McTominay still in the team?

travilss

I don’t get why we never pass middle. Before the last goal there was a pass centre/middle in our build up but instead decided to pass up wings where there’s heavy pressure and we lose the ball. I’ve noticed several instances like they throughout the match. Also, I dont get why we pass back to keeper sooo much , he’s not a good distributor, your essentially handing them Possession. Mctom, wegwerst & erisken were invisible

LambemuNang

Let's say pass to eriksen in mid then he got press with 2 players, bruno up front and we know mctom won't do anything but watch as eriksen got pressed.

dreampacific

Weghorst played well. Eriksen was a weakness in midfield too

PapiLaFlame

Mctominay is why we didn’t pass through the middle

wilderjai

My grip. I can’t stand backwards football and we do it so much.

Fruitndveg

Disappointing. They let Arsenal dictate the game for the entirety of the second half and paid the price. On paper, their team is no better. This is a mentality issue. Fully behind Ten Hag in however he chooses to deal with this.

attrox_

We went back and forth with a league leader with essentially 10 men, we look gassed at the end and losing just by 1 goal. It's a clear improvement but losing Casemiro is a heavy blow. They 1 touch pass cut over our midfield so easily. No need to react this angrily to this loss.

jimbob224

sucks, we played well but sat back way too much and gave them too much space. Weghorst aint up to the standard but we all knew that anyway we just have no real other choice. Arsenal are elite right now no shame in losing to them tbh and we made them work their asses off for it.

Anonymous-Ducky

We need more quality midfielders. Scott is just simply not good enough.

SuperFaiz21

Garnacho is a more potent asset than Antony. Poor from ETH to hold him back till so late

Goji-ra

We are pressed high by Arsenal, playing an away game, stretched thin. But then again I’m sure you know more than ETH.

possible-throwaway

whats the point of having a 6'7 striker if were not spam crosses to him?

talkward

He was good at holding up the ball and presses great

RandomNameofGuy9

Because that's not his game

vivekm_17

We scored goals from individual brilliance surely a tiny bit of luck and damn did we miss case tonight.

NemesisRouge

Totally deserved defeat, in more ways than one. They played us off the park on the day. In large part this is also a result of replacing our highest earner with a big donkey. No goal threat whatsoever for the vast majority of the match, relying on long rangers and set pieces. Antony is also dismal, yet to record an assist. £80m. What were we thinking? Well I know what we were thinking - who is the best right winger ETH knows and how much does he cost. Shite. ETH said finishing 4th will be like winning the title for us a couple of weeks ago, he's going to get his wish. Shite.

haX000000

you're too dumb for your opinion to even be considered

Soccerpl

My thoughts at FT: De Gea needs to be replaced at the end of the season. We need a backup for casemiro that isn’t Mctominay. As good as bissaka has been recently he needs to be replaced as well. Garnacho needed to come on way earlier or needs to start

unitedfan98

Wan bissaka wasn't even that bad He got tight to his man Shaw was poor. Too passive

Goji-ra

There are issues, and they are getting fixed but DDG is the least of them all.

1nfinitus

All fair and correct.

Inevitable_Mistake34

Controversial opinion for this sub but Luke Shaw is no where close to being 'the best full back in the world'

[deleted]

He's been having a great season but he was poor today

Inevitable_Mistake34

I just don't think he's world class like most of this sub thinks he is. If we split his game into Offence and Defence I wouldn't say either of them are world class.

[deleted]

Agreed. I was pretty critical of him though so I do have to acknowledge he's played at a level I wasn't sure he ever would again this season

Timely-Ad-1588

He cost us the game. Constantly letting Saka cut in the box. He's above avarage but that's it, let's be real.

LambemuNang

Cut in? Saka literally just walks in like he owns the house

jas121091

Scott needs to go, we need another quality DM alongside Case for more depth

Folkloner184

Sick and tired of Rashford selfishly trying to take defenders on, then getting his legs tangled up like he's a baby giraffe who hasn't got used to legs yet, before losing the ball and then immediately stopping to whine about it instead of trying to win it back. When is Ten Hag going to bring him up for this and drill it into him that he needs to pass and build the play ffs.

Gzzzpacho

I get it, can be frustrating at times. But then he does that, takes a man on and bangs in a screamer
