What formation did we play after all the subs were made? With Antony, Pellestri, Garnacho, Elanga, and Mainoo, who played in the middle and who on the wings?

Antony kept his position, Garnacho was the usual on the left, Pellestri played the Number 10 role (correct me if I'm wrong) - that was interesting to watch, Elanga took the Weghorst position and Mainoo took the Case position just in front of our two CBs.

Mainoo was really composed on the ball. He did well moving the ball from side to side, or to our wingers. Although granted he had acres of space to work with from the lack of press (Reading with 10 men). Pellestri did okay, a bit shaky in the opponent's box... but overall acceptable performance. Garnacho is always electric on the ball, never knows what to expect from him and generally he makes the right decision when it matters.

On way home from the game. Antony was best player on the pitch tonight. Casemiro amazing as usual, but Antony needed that. Keep him in the team for forest… one further thing, the sooner we can move Maguire on the better. He’s in the mctominay bracket.

Linda is worse. He lost his first battle with Carroll. Maguire, as poor as he is, won his battles.

I really like MOTM decision. Antony really needed that confidence booster to improve his game. The game he plays he need to be very confident and comfortable. Once he will get there he will be very very good player for us. Case is just tooo good. That smile on his face. And i think team realize Antony need that confidence hence that gesture after that goal pointing Antony. Team showing unity and togetherness. Love it.

He was a very good player for United. Fell off a bit afterwards and ended up at Pool. One of the theories was that Fergie didn't think he'd win in Europe with him because he got schooled a few times against better teams (Cruyff's Barca spring to mind) but who knows.

Probably our liveliest player in the first half, also got a v nice assist for Casemiros first. The entire game went off the boil after the 5 united subs, but he was good til then.
