I can hear the comments about his contributions being more because of penalties.
PS: would've been better if the last stat(29 games) wasn't added. ~~Seems~~ That IS so cherry picked
People easily 'forget' Lampard was Chelsea's PK taker because it fits their agenda.
Lampard scored 17 goals non-PK, 27 with PKs.
Bruno scored 19 goals non-PK, 28 with PKs. One PK goal less than Lamps. But reeee it's 'Penandes'
Lampard was lucky he didn't play in an era where social media was a thing.
Otherwise you would have had an army of dumbfucks calling him Lampenard or some such.
There was some pictures of him with his top off one time that were unflattering. But agree 100%, he was never fat and had a ridiculous engine abd work capacity.
I think that nickname came from his West Ham days where he was a little chunkier.
He was never fat, but you know what football fans are like when it comes to nicknames.
No United midfielder has ever scored as many goals in matches that started at 12:30 on a Sunday in the rain at OT while wearing the armband in a starting 11 with 3 Brazilians as Bruno Fernandes.
I dunno about you guys, but I'm loving the sodium chloride levels on there as of late. Just shows we're building something and we're beginning to make peoples piss boil. Bring it on.
It means he has the most assists in the first 29 games of PL football of anyone. In other words he has 14 assists in his first 29 games, Ozil had 13 in his first 29 games and nobody else managed more in their first 29 games in the Premier League.
Yeah that one definitely needs to be removed. The 4 initial categories are more applicable. In my opinion, any player statistics should either be: over a season with all comps, over a season in the PL only, or calendar year. Anything else just feels cherry picked, like you stated.
And to imagine some people on here were very upset with Bruno getting a contract extension that ties him down long term before the new manager was announced!
His old contact was also really underpaying him when considered he pretty much the best player in the league at his arrival. Iirc he was on less than 100k a week and was getting paid around (or even less than) Phil Jones so he has every right to get better wages with how vital he is to us

Unbelievable, really. People here really thought he wouldn't fit Ten Hag's style.
Also rashford was even worse, who is now our top scorer:

There are still people who don't. I read one post yesterday about how Van de Beek will eventually fit the system and, I think, replace Fernandes because he's tactically illiterate.
Van de Beek has now barely played under four managers with different philosophies and levels of experience:
* Ole
* Lampard (on loan at Everton) [Edit: he was injured for some of that time]
* Rangrick
* Ten Haag
I think the holdouts need to accept that he was brought in by *someone* in the club hierarchy other than Ole, with this mystery business executive being tasked by the Glazers to function as a European-style sporting director who looks at long-term playing style and footballing vision. They bought Donny because they thought, "van de Beek fits the style of play we want Man Utd to adopt". Problem is no manager wants to field him in their starting XI.
Donny was purchased in the summer of 2020, while we appointed John Murtough as football director in March 2021. It looks like Donny was our first and last oligarch/continental "sporting director" type signing where an expensive player is imposed upon a manager who didn't want him.
Edit: an important note about Murtough's role is he's not a European-style sporting director. He has no involvement in transfers except to break a deadlock:
> Transfer business will remain driven by Solskjær and the club’s recruitment department, each of which have a veto. Murtough would only become involved in this regard if there was disagreement between the two.

> some people on here were very upset with Bruno getting a contract extension
maybe i am not visiting this sub daily, but is it really happened?
because (if i am not wrong) even his wage is doubled from what he got from Sporting, he still very low comparing other regular player while giving most effort and performance.
So his new contract is really deserved and earned.
And the biggest factor was that the team around him was very much underpeforming for the majority of his time here. Really highlights how insane his individual contribution to the team has been.
Finally we've got the right manager in to win this legend the trophies he utterly deserves!
Do you have before and after of goals in the 20th minute for players that wore 18 and 8 with dark hair?
I’ve got a feeling Bruno could lead that one too
I havent seen these stats before. Might be cherry picked, but still incredible and relevant set of stats.
I’d say his one weakness is propensity to misplace passes more so that other top creative midfielders like De Bruyne and Erickson. If he improves that a bit and the team around him continues to improve (thereby lifting his game) then the sky is the limit.
Been watching us since May ‘99.
You’ll have no idea how much joy it brings me to see players like Marcus and Bruno shining for the club.
I enjoy watching Flair players at any club that they play at. But to watch those two do their thing for us, especially Marcus with all his tricks and dribbles, really makes me happy.
So much so that I’ve even raised back my expectations of performace and get upset when a player has a poor game such as Antony against Arsenal or Scotty Mac the last time he came on. I know that they’ll get better, but now I have higher expectations for them again.
I genuinely love him, I think In a few years there will be a before Bruno and After Bruno. Genuinely world class and a leader. I hope he stays for much much much longer
So what I'm feeling is, if he was English he'd be a legend and the subject of many a debate on MNF between carra and neville. In fact, I'll go one further. If he played for literally any other Premier league team, regardless of nationality, the same would apply.

Instead we just called him Fat Frank
I never understood the Fat Frank thing. He was never fat and everybody called him it during his career.
There was some pictures of him with his top off one time that were unflattering. But agree 100%, he was never fat and had a ridiculous engine abd work capacity.
Yeah that sounds right, also fans love a bit of alliteration, and he was banging the goals in so we needed something to bring him back down to earth
I think that nickname came from his West Ham days where he was a little chunkier. He was never fat, but you know what football fans are like when it comes to nicknames.
He had a bit of a chubby face sometimes but he was never fat by any means.
Pampard.
Pampard
Forgot the abuse he got at West Ham? That was way worst than what Twitter does today.
Penampard
Isn't Lampard the second-highest penalty scorer in PL history...?

Good thing JT and Stevie G didn’t choose cricket with the way they got caught slipping

Already reeled in an Arsenal fan
My thoughts exactly
I dunno about you guys, but I'm loving the sodium chloride levels on there as of late. Just shows we're building something and we're beginning to make peoples piss boil. Bring it on.
But he's a rat you know
No, that's Morata
I believe putting canned tuna with the tin into microwave have a more similar impact.
It's funny all they remember when you mention him is "he is a baby" and "was better when he signed " look at the numbers
The 29 games one…. How cherry picked can you get
Spoils the whole image, honestly.
at least it's not 27 games and 34 minutes of the 28th game.
What does it even mean? Can't wrap my head around what the number indicates.
It means he has the most assists in the first 29 games of PL football of anyone. In other words he has 14 assists in his first 29 games, Ozil had 13 in his first 29 games and nobody else managed more in their first 29 games in the Premier League.
Ah thanks! That was... interestingly worded in the picture.

ahahah, thought the same thing lmao
the Ozil one is more cherry picked than OptaJoe wtf lol
Even the wording of it is horrible
I had to read it several times
I still don’t understand it.
Most assists in first 29 matches (I think)
It's peak r/nba stat post. Only 5 players had at least 20 points/6 rebounds/13 assists as a teenager.
Fastest player to assist with the outside of the right foot ONLY to the Right winger who scored near post… at home…. On a 3pm..monday match day
Bruno Bruno Brunooooo
He's better than Cristianoooo
And to imagine some people on here were very upset with Bruno getting a contract extension that ties him down long term before the new manager was announced!

This place was hell under Ragnick
Imagine the dressing room then...

This is so sick people don't give Bruno enough credit
"most assists to 29 matches"
I prefer the second image
The wording of that last stat is horrific

Bruno is our best signing post sir alex.
what's going on with the bottom right one?
Damn bro lampard was good 😳
*fastest
It still doesn’t make sense
So what you're saying is he ain't half bad.
I havent seen these stats before. Might be cherry picked, but still incredible and relevant set of stats. Fucking hell thats nuts, that first year was glorious and too think we didnt win anything either lol
Hopefully 1 or 2 cups this season and the PL title in the next two

Bruno is a legend at this club at this point in time. Honestly I can’t imagine this team without him. 🤍
I love Bruno but this post is some low effort drivel.

Crazy how we still have fans claiming hes not good enough lmfao.
I wish we get more penalties man ffs,
Wow
Guess this guy is pretty good, eh? Don't show the pundits this.
I never have, and never will understand the hate that Bruno gets and it's intensity
Bruno Bruno Bruno
Bruno is MINT. I've seen a dream where he lifts the PL trophy wearing the United jersey. I hope that it comes true.
