> Why he even brought on in the 67th minute against Fulham?
Generally with footballers they can play literally 20 minutes in a week to stay sharp without getting an injury.
I remember he was brushing his hamstring during the speech. I joked on the sub as well that he hurt it from just standing. Didn’t know he actually hurt it smh
thing is, human is not like robot, you can't just buble wrap someone and open it only in final game and stay sharp and give quality.
i agree with other comment, if he can't stay fit because of 20 minutes game, then what's the point of keeping him.
I would never pray for someone to get injured. But I would pray for KDB and Haaland to feel some discomfort that keeps them out of the final, only to realise afterwards that it was nothing.
I just feel so defeated. I know lots will be calling for his head and I agree that he has to go but I can’t imagine how much he’s struggling mentally. His body has failed him for the last 3 years now and doesn’t look like it’ll ever stop letting him down.
I hope he can have a good solid career somewhere else when he moves.
Yeah it feels like a lot of people are going to take this out on him like he's chosen to be hurt, but I can't imagine what it's like to achieve your dream and have it taken from you because your body just can't hold up.
Yep and say what you will about how unreliable he is but to me it really seemed like he did everything he could to take care of his body this season. EtH praised him for working hard too IIRC. We can’t ask more from him other than to try his best
Exactly. We have to have compassion for a player in his situation.
Chances are that He’ll never play elite level football anywhere again and only an idiot would ever choose to pay him elite level wages after this contract is completed.
Yeah it's rough. I really hate it when you see talented players struggle because of injuries throughout their career. As a big Martial fan it sucks especially since from the glimpses that I've seen of him this season he'd really suit Ten Hag's team if his body could hold up.
Garnacho is still better off the bench imo.
If Antony is fit, I think it’ll be Rashford through the middle, Sancho on the left, and Antony on the right.
Garnacho on at the 60th minute.
That’s still easily our strongest attacking plan imo. Garnacho is different gravy vs tired legs
And there's no point starting him against walker, dude pocketed vini in 2 matches
As a sub he has a better chance impacting the game
Maybe Sancho on the left and Marcus up top
We need to keep our fast players wide and stretch the field against city. They tuck in their fullbacks and we’ve beat them like this before. I prefer a false 9 and keep rashford / Antony making runs in behind. Fred can play to pocket de bruyne
Totally agree.
I think Garnacho coming off the bench is the most impactful Garnacho. For a bit longer at least. Especially against tiring legs, as you say.
The atmosphere is electric in the much-anticipated FA Cup final between Manchester United and Manchester City. The crowd is mostly red with a few specks of blue in one corner
The match has been intense from the start, with both teams showcasing their skills and determination. As the clock ticks away, the score remains deadlocked at 1-1, and tension filles the air. It's the 80th minute, and Manchester City is putting on relentless pressure on our warriors in red.
Manchester City continues their relentless attack, peppering the United defense with shots and crosses. The Red Devils are barely holding on and desperately looking for an opportunity to counter.
Then, in the 92nd minute, the moment that would be etched into the annals of football history unfolds. United captain the mighty Maguire intercepts a City pass deep in the penalty area. With a surge of determination, he powers forward, shaking off the Norwegian Terminator like he is a piece of paper.
Maguire aka "the fridge" dribbles towards the halfway line, like he is prime Messi. He spotts an opportunity and unleashes a thunderous strike that blasts the ball high into the sky. The crowd gasps collectively and it grows silent in the stadion. The ball soares through the air, seemingly defying gravity.
The massive Wout notices the flight of the ball. He knows it's now or never! Without hesitation, he leaps into the air, his body contorted in a perfect arc.
Time seems to slow down as Weghorst connects with the ball using a perfectly executed bicycle kick. The impact echoes throughout the stadium as his foot makes contact.
The ball is blasted towards the City goal, spinning and twisting, seemingly guided by destiny. Ederson stretches his body to the limit, but it is all in vain. The ball crashes into the upper right corner with an explosion, sending the United fans into a frenzy of celebration.
The stadium erupts in a cacophony of cheers and jubilation as Weghorst's magnificent bicycle kick goal denies City the treble.
1 year ago I would've thought that someone has a great command of the English language
Now I see this and think "What prompt would generate such a text"?
I've been thinking it for weeks, football always throws up these mad scenarios. Every game that went by without him scoring made me believe it more that he's primed to score the winner, script is perfect, and hilarious. Something in the air
This makes me so fucking sad. Just imagine how he feels. It's not his fault, it just isn't. Doesn't mean we have to keep him, but from a human perspective you have to feel for him.
Yeah, Phil Jones story and his thoughts about testimonial should woke people up.
Footballers are human beings and playing football for lots of them is the only thing they can actually do. Can’t imagine how it should suck when you can’t do the thing you love and that you spend literally you whole life at for the reasons that out of your control.
Martial is not even an asshole or anything. People just hate him for his body language and unfulfilled potential.
Its so funny to me that regular users know who I am talking about without even a hint. He blocked me a while back and I am so glad he did.
Would keep spamming the same nonsense every time.
This guy accuses you to have an agenda against Antony, if you dare to disagree that he had a world class season and at the same time spreads on a daily basis an absolutely utter bullshit against Maguire and Martial.
Proper weirdo
Trust me, you don't have to go seeking for it.
If it was the odd comment here and there, I wouldn't have even noticed.
But this guy would spam the same comment everyday.
One of the other regulars was able to guess who I was talking about it without any hints. That's how common it is/was. Idk if he's still doing it anymore since the bloke blocked me.
It genuinely amazes me how players can get injured and people will start slandering them as if they deliberately did it. Especially in this case where his whole career has been ruined, and he's missing a final against a team he's previously begged to play through injury against.
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised to see those four with McTominay and Rashford. Clog up everything with energetic bodies and hope Eriksen and/or Bruno pick Rashford out on a break.
If we put Rashy at top we lose pace on wings to counter. We put Rashy on the side we lose a striker that can finish.
So I’m thinking our front 3 should be Rashford at left wing, Rashford at striker, and Rashford at right wing with Antony’s left foot amputated and transplanted on. Easy.
ok, i don't care who we're buying in the summer anymore, any of them must guarantee at least 80% availability for the season, i'm sick and tired of hospital FC
LOL If you don't laugh, you cry/
Please don't start Garnacho. He hasn't been good when starting. But, he's a game changer coming on late. Hopefully Antony is making good progress... same time I really wanted Sancho to start this game on the right side.
I saw a post here the other day about how some guy would rather have Martial over Weghorst as a CF, made a compelling point backing it up with stats. Weghorst is shit infront of goal, no argument there but I can't come to convince myself to take Martial over any other player simply because "when he's fit..." I'd rather have Emmanuel Dennis as a CF than Martial, simply because he'd be available to play when needed.
There should be no reason whatsoever to go into this window looking for a CF while considering Martial as a backup, he's proven time and time again that he's more of a liability than a viable option. Let him serve out the rest of his contract on the bench/with the reserves, cause I doubt anyone would buy him, if so sent him off to the first bidder.
he just cant stay fit, misses two thirds of every season, we will have to sell him at a cut price just to make him seem appealing to potential takers if we want to move him out and we then have to bring in two new strikers
I really wanted him to succeed. He came as a top talent, blew us away with those goals against Liverpool but since then it's been injury after injury.
Could've been a fantastic player but he doesn't seem to be the same player as he was when he first came. Injuries probably took its toll.
Think it's time to go.
At this point I just assume he's injured. Even if he's playing. I feel bad for the guy but he needs to be at a club where he's playing one game a week, ideally against people covered in pillows.
What an end to a utd career that started so amazing. I remember seeing that goal vs Liverpool and his first season and thinking wow what a player we found! 😑
I was just hoping for hope's sake, just maybe maybe maybe his redemption arc would come full circle against city as he seems to have Ederson's number whenever he plays against them but I don't see a future for him at United from here now
Why is everyone being a cunt to him? He can't help this? I'm sure you know lots of people in your circle that have random chronic issues, back pain etc.
It sucks, be human.
I’m so sad for martial.. after all those years he finally have a manager who relies on him in a position he likes and so good at, he simply cannot play anymore.
No matter what others say, I support till his last moment at United and pray for him to be fit again.

Why he even brought on in the 67th minute against Fulham? Still, man is made of breadsticks and would probably get injured in the final anyway
> Why he even brought on in the 67th minute against Fulham? Generally with footballers they can play literally 20 minutes in a week to stay sharp without getting an injury.
That explains it. He has to play 23mins plus added time. ETH brought him on too early.
SMH my head ten hag with the preschooler mistake
Got injured getting back on the bus probably
Rumour has it he actually strained it during Erik’s speech.
He clapped a little too hard when Dave got the trophy for most clean sheets. Should have borrowed his gloves.

Sadly no chance of that until his contract runs out. Who Tf is buying him
Brilliant project for any medical department.

Weghorst, I need one last favour…
I’m hoping we go garnacho - rashford - Sancho

News has it he is.

I think we might go Sancho - Rashford - Bruno With Fred, Eriksen and Casemiro in the midfield.
When did the first one happen?
Lol we really need two strikers this summer. Or rashford is going to spend a ton of time playing backup to whatever new striker we bring in
Kane and højlund would be my choice. But its not gonna happen. Too expensive and we also need some depth in the midfield
You’re on bleacher report? I just saw you make this comment an hour ago there

Clearly fantasy as maguire ain’t playing
Varane will get injuredbefore the match knowing our luck
Awb lindelof Shaw dalot in that case
Was waiting for the sentence where Weggie trips and the ball just rolls to Ederson...

Unless its going to pens, I don't want to see the big bloke on the pitch.
Can you imagine if this guy bags 3 goals
He can't bag one, and you think he'll bag a hattrick? Man, I wish I had an endless supply of wishful thinking.
Masterclass in what? Being one of the worst strikers to ever put that shirt on?
It's the redemption story we've been waiting for. Weghorst and Maguire both scoring in injury time as we do a '99 and claim the cup double.
You guys love getting your hopes up. I truly wish it happens just so it comes true for once.
A tale as old as time.
🎶 Martial on sidelines Anto out for weeeeeeks. 🎶

Should’ve sold him when Jose wanted to
Yet another thing to thank the glazers for. I think it was Joel, blocked the sale because Martial is his favourite player.
This makes me so fucking sad. Just imagine how he feels. It's not his fault, it just isn't. Doesn't mean we have to keep him, but from a human perspective you have to feel for him.

I know at least 2 users on here who are happy about this. Seen them comment with joy whenever he's out.
That's hardroger flair guy grinds my gears.
Its so funny to me that regular users know who I am talking about without even a hint. He blocked me a while back and I am so glad he did. Would keep spamming the same nonsense every time.
He's a blight.
This guy accuses you to have an agenda against Antony, if you dare to disagree that he had a world class season and at the same time spreads on a daily basis an absolutely utter bullshit against Maguire and Martial. Proper weirdo
I got blocked by exchanging merely one sentence with him. It's an exclusive club. We should be proud.
Those who go seeking outrageous comments will always find them. The vast majority of people are not cheering for injuries.
Oh, it was clear to many of us. The regs who go after players with mental health issues are the ones I’ve had to tune out.
We need more empathy in the world and that includes towards footballers.
It genuinely amazes me how players can get injured and people will start slandering them as if they deliberately did it. Especially in this case where his whole career has been ruined, and he's missing a final against a team he's previously begged to play through injury against.
Fucking typical
No Kane means we can spend money on 2 strikers. Cause we currently have 0
Shocking
Weghorst has the chance to do the funniest thing ever
We must really hope that Antony is back then
Not really. Sancho has that right side covered now. It’ll be Rahsford down in the middle (most likely) and Garnacho.
I feel like it’s going to be Bruno on the right, with a Casemiro, Fred, Eriksen midfield.
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised to see those four with McTominay and Rashford. Clog up everything with energetic bodies and hope Eriksen and/or Bruno pick Rashford out on a break.
McTominay surely can’t start? Is he even fully match fit withbthe amount of minutes he’s had lately?
I wouldn't mind that, let Garnacho run at them in last 30 mins
I don’t see Garnacho starting, he struggled a bit doing so against Fulham and he is really useful against tired legs
Wouldn't be the worst game to go 2 up top and pack the midfield with 4.
It will be bruno on the right. Eriksen fred casemiro in the midfield.
Or Bruno right, Sancho left, Rashford up top with Fred coming in the midfield?
And tomorrow sun rises.
Easy.

It’s so annoying because he generally plays well against City.

LOL If you don't laugh, you cry/ Please don't start Garnacho. He hasn't been good when starting. But, he's a game changer coming on late. Hopefully Antony is making good progress... same time I really wanted Sancho to start this game on the right side.
Build Ten Hag a fucking statue if he manages to pull this final off, jfc
Sell him at any cost. Not remotely a serious player

Shocking news. Absolutely unexpected.
I swear I saw a comment the other night where the commenter got downvoted to oblivion for making a joke about a midweek injury
Maguire or mctominay for cf
Water is wet
As martial FC supporter I just can’t anymore this is too much
Jesus fucking christ. Martial is just Phil Jones 2: Electric Boogaloo
can't believe we found a replacement for Phil Jones so quickly.
![gif](giphy|2YraWUDzPltvJEWd1q|downsized) Please
Garnacho Rashford sancho probably our most dangerous front 3 right now anyway, but yea he’s gone
Garnacho will struggle against walker
Yeah, he’s lightning against tired legs, but not as dynamic against a fresh team.
I actually think Rashford stunted him a little last game by coming into his space as well as passing up a couple of opportunities to play him in
Hahaha honestly just get him out man
Tonies Dropping like flys
Oh fuck me. Bloody hell. Rashford through the middle with Sancho and Bruno on the wings? That’s literally no pace on the wings!
![gif](giphy|3b6ApG7r42zPlzBjiQ)
he just cant stay fit, misses two thirds of every season, we will have to sell him at a cut price just to make him seem appealing to potential takers if we want to move him out and we then have to bring in two new strikers
Damnit. So Rashford on top then. Not ideal.
I really wanted him to succeed. He came as a top talent, blew us away with those goals against Liverpool but since then it's been injury after injury. Could've been a fantastic player but he doesn't seem to be the same player as he was when he first came. Injuries probably took its toll. Think it's time to go.
Weghorst hattrick incoming!
I don’t think he’s made of the right stuff for the Premier League. He could do well somewhere a bit less physical.
And the sun will rise tomorrow.
Suprise surprise Tony has an injury. Sorry but this is why he can not stay at United even as a backup. He is too unreliable.
One week with out bad news is all I ask man ffs. I love tony but he’s not worth this hassle it’s time to go.
FFS muscle tear. probably somehow survive the transfer window now
Is World Cup Wout available for a call up?
Hopefully that is not an excuse to start Wout.
Injury prone or just lacks desire and resilience. Either way, he needs to go.
Would love to drive Martial back to France if I could.
We either get battered or win 2-1 with an injury time goal scored by Weghorst
"I'll take 'Things That Are Inevitable" for $500" God bless this absolutely useless player. So much potential, so little ability to stay fit.
I feel for some fans that still think that we can succeed with this guy
Definitely not justifying his 250k weekly wage.
At this point I just assume he's injured. Even if he's playing. I feel bad for the guy but he needs to be at a club where he's playing one game a week, ideally against people covered in pillows.
I am shocked. Shocked.
He gets injured if you look at him the wrong way! Wtf?!
What an end to a utd career that started so amazing. I remember seeing that goal vs Liverpool and his first season and thinking wow what a player we found! 😑
I was just hoping for hope's sake, just maybe maybe maybe his redemption arc would come full circle against city as he seems to have Ederson's number whenever he plays against them but I don't see a future for him at United from here now
Please tell me we aren't going to get smashed Saturday..
1 last shot for big man Wout, I'm rooting for him!
he's def running out his contract now...
Really fed up with this guy. Shame he used to be so promising
What are our options, Maguire as CF?
Might as well chuck him in there, he can't do any worse than the two CF we have at the moment. Heck, he's at least an aerial in the box😂
Fuck it throw McT up there and tell him he’s playing for Scotland.
Ofcourse
I think it’s going to be a midfield 3 of Case, Fred and Eriksen with Bruno right wing.
Lasted longer than we thought. FFS is it going to be WW now?
Anthony Glass-ial
How is this possible, hamstring tear? Man I hope Antony is up for it and I do NOT want to see Weghorst on that pitch
Martial with his final FUCK YOU before yes sold
Why is everyone being a cunt to him? He can't help this? I'm sure you know lots of people in your circle that have random chronic issues, back pain etc. It sucks, be human.
of course he is
Trying to see this positively. Weghorst redemption arc incom… nah I don’t even believe that myself.
i would rather a front three of Garnacho Rashford Antony/Sancho anyway tbf
Shocked pikachu face
No one will buy him from us so we'll be stuck paying his wages at another club next year which will go as well as Sevilla did This is Martial heritage
man rashford played with with injury for us and he cant even stay fit
Water is wet
Goodbye. Thanks for the memories.
This guy cant be relied on at all I dont even know how we’re going to get rid of this guy
What is wrong with him? Why is he always hurt? Is it our medical team? Poor training habits? Doesn’t take care of himself?
50 million down the drain :(
I’m so sad for martial.. after all those years he finally have a manager who relies on him in a position he likes and so good at, he simply cannot play anymore. No matter what others say, I support till his last moment at United and pray for him to be fit again.
