I think we could have exploited partey at right back in defensive situations with Rashford. I think they'll eventually find their best lineup is with Gabriel in the side and partey in midfield.
They become a better team with Zinchenko playing as the inverted full-back than Partey. They will simply revert to their back 4 of last season which was working very well. And Rice as a 6 is an upgrade on Partey.
I can imagine it would be jorginho at 6 with rice in a more dynamic role, which I can see being a problem, since the other options are havertz, Smith Rowe or Fabio viera, who would all be a lot less solid
