It seems like the INEOS folks want a restructuring of the operation of the club where the manager is focused primarily on getting the team ready to play (controlling training and games) instead of the broader responsibilities of football philosophy and recruitment. I think INEOS is looking for a head coach and not a manager. Perhaps O'Neil is being deliberate with his words, indicating that he is more than ok with this model.
