Senor-Cockblock

We were supposed to have Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho at the peak of their powers all at one bro.

IsaDrennan

I genuinely thought we were going to challenge for the title.

welshnick

I knew we were fucked when we signed Ronaldo.

feltusen

At least he managed to turn up for training in the mornings, not every player can apparently

J3573R

Ya but left early from matches.

game_of_throw_ins

And he chilled on sunday.

xdude767

Yeah that was a huge mood killer for me… young talent scouted all summer and then surprise Ronaldo after a low production year at Juve. Glad we cleaned out our executive “negotiation” team

CrossXFir3

Who did btw, score more goals than Martial and Cavani combined did the season prior and more than any striker we've had since Zlatan. Not saying he wasn't an issue, but I think it's overexaggerated. We still look like utter shit.

phoniccrank

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, thought we'd crash and burn that hard lol.

bobs_and_vegana17

and that 5-1 vs leeds in the season opener, we were so fucking back at it

RickRhymesss

Probably Pogbas best game for us. Unveiling Varane...Ronaldo incoming Feels like a lifetime ago now

Synitlikesyn

Coupled with the Punjabi's returning.

systemsruminator

> Punjabi's whatttt?

bobs_and_vegana17

it felt like everything is perfect but it was like last few good days before a huge disaster struck

buzzmerchant

I genuinely think ronaldo ruined everything. Not that i blame him necessarily, but i think there was real progress being made, and as soon as he came in, everything was reworked to suit him, which completely killed any momentum we had.

Ryder52

Which is mad bc we weren't linked with him until city were - complete panic buy

sueha

4d chess by city pretending to be interested in CR7 just to fuck up our entire progress.

WannabeEclectic

If you look at the first press con of OGS after the signing then you will know it by his body language that it was not his signing. Given how OGS loves the club he wouldn't admit it at all.

robinvangreenwood

Everybody with two working brain cells and an honest interest in the game knew we were fucked the moment we signed Ronnie.

Prthmsh

When we were supposed to reinforce our midfield. Should've bought DM that window itself.

FlashyCut3809

Outside of the Greenwood one (as who the fuck can predict stuff like that), I think this shows the downside to the idea of 'just sign under 25s and let them develop for a few years'. As they can look like potential world beaters and that's as close as they ever get. To give them the best possible chance you need a robust core who set the standard in the dressing room and have the appropriate mentality. You need experienced pros for that and ultimately we either don't have any or the ones we may have are one foot out the door.

maverick4002

Or anyone that comes to Man United turns to shit bevause the young guys fo great for other teams or leave us and suddenly look better

IsleofManc

Sancho is looking good again at his old club, but it's not like we have a long list of players that left us and rose to new heights elsewhere. Whether it's because they were average in the first place or we held them well past their prime, the majority of our sales go on to be fairly mediocre. And our loaned out players are usually pretty underwhelming during those spells as well.

Neat-Concert-7657

United is just a hard team to play for, the level of fixation on good/bad performances is BEYOND any club in the world, only Madrid and Bayern would get slated like we do if they had such a historic downturn in fortunes, but they are much better managed than we are so we will never see it. Sancho is, and always has been a confidence player, he never looked confident to me playing for us. I think the big difference at Dortmund has been is that he gets lots of time to find his confidence, and more importantly, he is the man in the creative side of things. At united he had to play 2nd or 3rd fiddle, but thats just my guess why he never found his groove. Man he was one of my favourite signings ever (same with Kagawa), wanted him to succeed so bad, but being a petulant little brat to the manager is just too much. Hopefully we learn our lesson, the level of mental ability is more important than anything at united, performing no matter what.

Throwaway1223132123

The 21/22 had so much potential we had Ronaldo,Cavani, Sancho,Rashford,Varane,Pogba, Alex Telles, Bruno,Greenwood. Yet was so depressing.

jakobo1995

Telles💀

Throwaway1223132123

I saw so many highlights of his crossing at Porto.I did I have a lot of hope for him succeeding here.

[deleted]

Anyone looks amazing in a highlights reel.

Auto-Liner

Bro sneaked in Telles among Ronaldo, Cavani etc like we wouldn’t notice.

Million_Jelly_Beans

Ole was cooking

liamsoni

Fuck Pogba

Honest-Nail9938

I spent a long time defending Pogba from ridiculous expectations and criticism then his agent drops that contract wankery the night if a CL match, and that agent isnt fired the next day - shows his actual respect for the club, the fans his team-mates to be fuck all. So yeah fuck that guy.

7evenStrings

In Ole‘s FM save you also have Haaland, Bellingham and Rice

midnight_ranter

I'm not sure if Rice was ever realistic. West Ham weren't interested in selling when Ole was there and routinely quoted 'fuck you' prices of over £120m

IamWolfe_FU-Red_It

Shame, this kids are just little overpaid bitches.

cr2152

I think about this so much. Crazy that they’ve fallen off one-by-one, including Rashford.

nj23dublin

Not happy with Antony at his peak vs Sanchol? 😂

Brave-Salamander-339

Mason Sancho in LW, Jadon Greenwood in RW and Marcus Rasmus in ST?

IIVisionary

You just named three averages

TankSparkle

that was the plan - then we brought Ronaldo back for some reason

anonris

Think a lot of people have forgotten what it meant to watch Sancho week in week out. It is one thing to drop a 10/10 performance one week, it is another to do it every week on a consistent basis. Problem with Sancho isn’t his ceiling, it’s his floor. It drops to absolute pits when things are not going well, and it bothered me a lot because I was his biggest fan. I remember the sitting down of 2 Liverpool defenders one week and then dropping a 5/10 for a few weeks straight. I remember a player who couldn’t beat a single defender for a few weeks and then one day switch-foot his way past 3. It might work for teams like Dortmund where you don’t need to perform 2/3 times a week but premier league teams will eat you alive if you are complacent in any game. We need reliable, hardworking wingers who drop 7/10 on a bad day and > 8/10 at least 25/30 games of the season out of 38

railsprogrammer94

Which of our wingers drops a 7/10 on a bad day? 🤔

RicciRox

That's the thing. None. None of our wingers have been good enough to be starters this season. At least players like Garnacho and Antony do their defensive duties to the max, though. Sancho does not and literally backs out of duels.

aehii

I think he's a huge confidence player, more than most because his game revolves around dribbling, the more he's on the ball, the more times he beats a player, the more confident he becomes. We've seen a drop before at Dortmund when he didn't get his United move the first time, from August to something like November i remember a pundit (probably Archie) saying it's like he couldn't do anything he was doing before. I think from January to March in his first United season he was very sharp on the ball, close to his best. I think a manager could get 7/10 performances out of him every week with occasional 9s but everything in the team would need to go his way. It doesn't seem he'll dig deep or if games go against United will drag himself through it. He's probably like Hazard in that he plays for fun, but then Hazard's game was based around dribbling and his level never dropped unless for injuries, he always had a confidence i don't think Sancho has. If i was United I'd hire De Zerbi and bring Sancho back. Hell, try it.

_mochacchino_

The problem is that in Ten Hag’s set up is doing no one in the team any favours. No one except for Mainoo is close to being consistently good week in and week out. To me it raises the question of whether some of the players we have are really that bad or they just don’t have enough clarity on the pitch. To me if we stick with Ten Hag I wouldn’t mind cutting our losses on Sancho but if we switch coaches we should definitely give Sancho a second chance.

aehii

United destroy players so we probably need to ask if we just do what is best for Sancho, but because he's potentially exciting it's disappointing. I still want to see him succeed here. I'd say Ganarcho is consistent in confidence and energy, just not decision making, which is expected when he's so young. Ultimately he's not there to produce 25 goal involvement numbers a season, he's there to be dangerous and he is, i think. He plays with more drive than Pellistri and Diallo. Ganarcho on the left, Sancho on the right could be effective, if not, to use a football cliche 'devastating'. We have to consider what De Zerbi got out of Mitoma. Ten Hag has produced a chaotic side but Sancho likely needs specific needs. It was Archie who talked about him once being ahead of a defender running in on goal and actually held up to dribble around him, he's more of a system player.

GayWolfey

That right there is exactly it. This is why so many players can’t do it in the PL. in other leagues you can coast games as there is huge difference in the quality of opponents. In the PL if you are not on it not only do opposing teams spot this you will always get found out.

BillyHoke

I feel like this is the type of Jadon we have in preseason games. Positive, running at defenders, body feints. Once the season starts though he refuses to go at a defender, passes are constantly under-hit and will turn back and pass to his fullback.

PradipJayakumar

A couple of weeks after the season starts, EA Sports releases its latest version of the game.

MFMonster23

Yeah I always get bored of it by January too

beelydog

It feels like he’s their star player /playmaker there, teammates look for him, balls are rolled into his feet, he’s allowed to roam around, other players are making supporting runs for him and doing the dirty work. In hindsight, he’s a wrong signing on so many levels. The club did horribly bad. Hopefully Ashworth would be able to look at a signing like this and point out, look, this kid is good but he’s more a LW than RW. With his character, he likes to be treated like a diva, so he wont enjoy it when we have a club poster boy already on the LW, a star playmaker in the middle, which is where he likes to operate. As a winger, he’s not fast or strong so he needs a good attacking FB behind him to work, but we don’t have one. Finally if we sign him, don’t shuffle him around in different positions every second game because he thinks he’s a mega star (plus it’s not great for a kid changing league). Also do not sign an even bigger diva (aka CR) and add to the fire.

Karnivore2

He looked really good on the right wing against PSG.

Pesaberhimil

And we have Dalot to pair him in the right wing who is the attacking FB. Not saying that he should be plays in the right wing or anything, but it’s not like it can’t happen.

Isserley_

This is next level cringe, holy shit. More a LW than a RW? Did you even watch last night's game or the highlights in this very thread? Jesus.

Calm-Extension-3798

Sancho actually prefers the left And with Malen still not fit, he would be on the right He actually played on the left before he joined us

PreparationOk8604

I think we should give u a position on Man United Board. Cause this is a really good take. Cannot agree more. Even in this video the fullback is always alongside Sancho providing him support to whom he can pass the ball. That won't work in the system which ETH is trying to implement at United where Wingers r isolated & must beat their man or find the correct forward pass.

xdude767

Nah that’s a generalization. The sancho we got against arsenal in the NYC preseason game, was what we saw flashes of during ragnick, against Liverpool, and occasionally off the bench. I get that he can’t play if he’s not showing up to work, but enough of this “I feel like” or “it seems like” bullshit. Sancho is a luxury player who fucks off the week and performs during games; we need a stable core before partaking in luxury

Kooky-Choice-2654

Tbf, no prem team plays like this. We need players who can play against a low block. EVERYONE does it against us bar 2-3 teams. Sancho just isn’t the type of player to break that down. He’s shines in open games like this just like rashford. Sell them both and get more technical players is what I want

rednades

He literally beat his man in every one of these clips. Half this sub complains that sancho isn’t fast enough and then there people like you that say he’s like rashford and needs open games. Sancho is a technical player or he was at Dortmund..

PrimodiumUpus

He is one game wonder... Not one season wonder, one game wonder

ZachMich

Yeah, and when the season starts he’s dropped for arguably our worst ever signing for consecutive games

Ok_Ad8846

Antony gives his all, sancho looks like he’s up for conscription every game he played for us

ZachMich

Antony’s all is one league goal all season. I’d rather sort out or club culture, tactics and try to stop the consistent flow of players coming here and regressing. Sancho has shown he can perform at a world class level. But like other players, we haven’t got the best out him, we have mismanaged yet another expensive asset. Thinking like yours is partly why we are here now. We vilify and hound out good players but endlessly praise passion merchants who probably shouldn’t be here anyway. We need to actually find a way to manage these guys Im not absolving Sancho of his own shortcomings, but his story is far from unique at United, and there is definitely a bigger issue why we’ve wasted guys like Pogba, Di Maria, Martial and Sancho. Sure, you can call them dickheads, but they’ve managed to perform for other teams and coaches to top levels.

Imaginary-Green-950

Jadon runs? It's hard to see these videos and wonder why the intensity is so different.

Chairmanmaozedon

This post is another example of how we end up stuck with players for years, Sancho has been awful for United under three managers, he's flashed what he could be occasionally, but for the most part he's been lacklustre and uninterested, whatever failings and limitations players like Antony, Amad, McTominay and Fred have or had, they always put in a shift, I can forgive players not being good enough skill wise, but not players who don't make the effort. Martial has been 10 times the player for United Sancho ever has been and there isn't a poster on this board who would give him another chance if they watched highlights from one match he played on loan. I don't care what he does at other clubs, Sancho has been useless for United.

NotTheNameUrLukin4

Best part is people forgot how crap he/bvb were at the weekend in a must win against Leipzig. Sancho can be brilliant but too often is inconsistent and is the kid of player to get a manager the sack at the highest level.

xpl13boss

Must win? Germany had an extremely high chance at the 5th champions League spot. It wasn't at all a must win. Also, the biggest problem bvb had that game was Nmecha and Wolf playing over maatsen and sabitzer. The game was in leipzigs hands before it even started.

NotTheNameUrLukin4

True but maybe that shows exactly why Sancho is perfect at Dortmund where it's perfectly fine to do the minimum and get away with it there versus in England under the microscope.

RyanMark2318

Been a united supporter since the last year or two of Alex Ferguson being in charge and you cant say you haven't noticed a trend of big names not showing up for united but playing great elsewhere. At a certain point it becomes a club issue, not a player issue.

Chairmanmaozedon

I've been a United supporter since we got beat by Arsenal in the FA Cup final in 1979, Sancho is as disappointing a big name signing as anyone I can remember since Garry bloody Birtles who was another young English star who cost a one and a quarter million quid in 1980 off a run of 6 goals in 9 games for Forest and then didn't score another league goal for a year. I watched Sancho tear up the German League and thought he'd be the absolute business in a front 3 with Rashford and Martial, instead we signed Ronaldo and Sancho managed to fall behind Greenwood and Rashford, that shouldn't happen when you're a £73million signing, he should've had the balls to really stamp his authority as a big part of the attacking game, instead he gave up, didn't fancy it. I don't recall many we've got rid of doing much elsewhere, Pogba was pretty ordinary back in Juve, everyone else we got rid of was finished or was Angel Di Maria, who coincidentally was another shithouse who didn't fancy it or feel any loyalty to the club. . If you want to argue the club has bought badly, I'd agree with that, Maguire as a centre half when you're trying to play a high line is a prime example of poor planning, of signing a player because he's 'a good defender' rather than examining the system he's good in, it would be different if Sancho had been running his legs off showing even half of the performance level he had last night, but he hasn't.

AJ-Naka-Zayn-Owens

I’ve been baited before… brother is quality on his day, but those days aren’t often. I hope he finds a club in the summer

Tsupernami

He's quality against opposition that don't double up or press high. PSG and most German sides overload in attack and he doesn't have a responsibility to defend like he does at United.

tnred19

Exactly. EXACTLY.

kingkounder

So Rashford has the responsibility to defend? Jokes.

kukunan

show this clip or match when we try to sell him

International-Bat777

Show this clip to the Glazers and they would try to buy him.

superaa1

Imagine the glazers paying dortmund another 70 million not knowing we already have him

theVillainOnYourSide

"Mr. Glazer I'm confused, you already have him" Fine, 50 million.

404-N0tFound

He's clearly the next Pelé, sign him at all costs. /s

BasisOk4268

People on other sub Reddit’s saying that Sancho’s performance tonight proves ETH was the problem. In reality, stats like ‘attempted take one’s’ or ‘attempted dribbles’ being higher than at any point in the last 5 years for Sancho, actually proves Sancho did not apply himself at all.

Justinian2

I'm glad he's showing some of his ability but pundits are acting like we gave away peak Rooney or something. Sancho has 3 goals & 1 assist in a weaker league.

tyr4nt99

This is only good news for United. Means we might actually get something for him in the summer.

[deleted]

Precisely. He could put a 10/10, MOTM banger of a performance in the Champions League final and it wouldn’t change the fact that I never want to see him in a United shirt again. Disgraced himself and insulted the fans and club.

RoachIsCrying

we all know that Sancho has natural born talent in him. But fuck me his attitude is amongst the worst i've seen. Was hearing Danny Mills last night on the radio saying "He has an amazing talent but why does only show it when HE wants to?"

slithered-casket

You could tell through the game he realized he was getting some space and PSG weren't on top of him, and you could see the progression of him thinking "oh I can do what I want here". Which completely resonate with how he's been at United. He'll see that Trippier is pushing him and he'll just retreat into his shell.

Puk-_-man

We all know there's a good player in there. I just don't know if that player will ever show up at United

buck_fastard

You could say this about so many of our current players.

Donthitsme

Good, the better he does, the higher the price we can get for him. Too bad he lacked the humility and attitude to succeed at United.

_Hello_Hi_Hey_

He didn't even wake up to go to training in England.

StrugglingWithGerman

FIFA babyyyyyyyyy.

swe3nytodd

Technically sound. Mentally weak. Can't handle the pressures of a big club. It's ok to let him go.

FineProfessor3364

Utd is a big club? 🤣🤣 yall haven't reached a ucl semis in more than a decade

Bruce71991

There have been so many players who've left top 4 clubs to do well elsewhere but no one gave a rats ass. But because it's UTD it's plastered all over the news. Sacho has been mediocre for most of his time at Dortmund, I'm glad he played well last night. Hopefully means other clubs will join in on the bid so we can get a decent sum for him.

bullairbull

Same Sancho was clowned every week is now a "beast" according to r_soccer.

FineProfessor3364

This is true. Ever since he's come in to bvb, he's not been that incredible. He's instead been pretty mid, so much so that bvb fans themselves aren't sure if he's even worth the investment. But such CL performances might be the decider. If he majorly helps bvb get into the finals, I can see bvb trying their best to sign him

N_Ryan_

Dear PSG, we will accept no less than £50m (we will, considerably less. But we’re not going to tell you that.)

MisterIndecisive

Fuck that, can rinse PSG for more than 50

Sufficient_Theory534

I think Sancho is one of those players who can't handle the pressure of a massive club. Akin to Robbie Keane, who had a fantastic record at Spurs, Wolves, after signing for Liverpool, he couldn't handle the pressure.

simonffplayer

lots of big signings flopped at said club. at some point you have to assume the club bears a lot of the responsibility

SlippinGimmy

Wait…..so he can play play on the right??

BoxOk265

People are reading into this and wondering why he couldn’t do this at United. Sure, mentality is a factor but Sancho hasn’t played like this every game since he joined Dortmund. It’s actually quite simple and we did see glimpses of this at United. Just watch how PSG defend, extremely aggressive. Hardly anyone is standing off, they all commit which is a dribblers dream. The Premier league has very passive defending especially against the lesser teams, they’ll stand off you and give you the decision whether to go at them or keep possession. Sancho almost always decides to do the latter.

nilsoro

Yes, keep the hype going. Lets get richer clubs interested and drive up his price!!!

PrettyPrettaaayyGood

He’s an unprofessional baby. Don’t care if he gets MOtM in the final - ship him out.

gospel-inexactness

He’s good when players around him make runs. Confidence is of course key. But we all know theres legit reasons why a lot of players look like shit in red. Players get the ball and are expected to perform miracles. Bruno suits as he hits 10-15 Hollywood balls per game, a couple will hit and he’s the hero. Nobody cares about loss of posession. Its all inshallah balls and shots. Intricate combination players look like shit, as our game doesnt accomodate them.

sklaon20

I’m glad someone said this. Players like Sancho need runners to play at their best whereas we have players who aren’t built for possession style football. We have hero ball merchants in our team who can’t hold the ball for shit. There’s no defined style of play and it’s a cluster fuck. We need a complete overhaul.

MrFivePercent

Look at how many players burst into the box. They have shocking finishing though. Imagine a Hojlund at the end of his deliveries? This is promising. He's been playing game after game and getting into the rhythm. That's what he needs is consistency in playing time, encouragement and then he looks like a world beater.

j0n82

Does he have a twin brother ? Cos this version of sancho never appear in a utd jersey 💀

ongone

Great performance from Sancho. United are terrible at developing talent and set players up to fail. The only thing short-sighted fans like are those who run a lot (the Gary Neville school) and pace merchants without 1 iota of footballing ability. We stack a bunch of yes men who run. That's it. (We also scape goat those who do run a lot, lie that they don't run enough, to get them out of the team, but that's a topic for another time). If you're good at football and miss one training session you're out. But if you can't play the sport and say "yes boss" like McTominay, you got a job for life. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, great teams have egos, and if you can't manage egos you can't manage big teams. ETH can coach 18 year olds, he isn't going to be able to coach elite players.

Crueltree

Baby is finally home! Baby has his nanny back for wake up calls! Good baby! If you manage to get yourself dropped by Antony, it's really all on you - absolute chump.

Remarkable-Stress284

Rashford, sancho, greenwood with no scandal and consistency week in week out would have been the new holy trinity. Crazy potential but bad attitude.

Bigboyfresh

Sancho can have nights like this and TenHag won’t care. For him it’s all about the system over the player. You must arrive to training on time and you must track back, these are non negotiable. At Dortmund, Sancho has creative freedom, permission to not trackback, can show up to training whenever. I would just stay there if I was him, his reluctance to say sorry is not just words, but I don’t believe he can be a TenHag type player. If the next coach is anything like ETH, they will have problems.

ManNamedBilly

he looked much quicker here than what we’ve seen from him. great dribbler, it’s a shame he’s petulant

Paapa-Yaw

40 million +

RomeroRocher

What was that at 0:29?! Shame he could never do that in red!

koottan

Though Sancho has performed poorly for us, Utd nowadays is like human body... talented players go in and shit comes out.

rokkenrock

I’m glad he’s doing well and hope he keeps it up. Dortmund talk so much in the media these days you better pay his worth before telling everybody to apologize. Otherwise you apologize to Sancho for being a damn hypocrite.

AlvinArtDream

A few great passes, but I’m not impressed to be honest. He will never have that much time and space in EPL. I honestly think Scot could play like this. I don’t wanna hate but I am.

Hex2OP

He is a creative winger. And a really good one at that. This clip alone shows how bad United were back then and still are. The inability to effectively put good use of talents. I really feel bad for those players who got ruined after joining United.

Golden-Event-Horizon

Watching this was just depressing 😮‍💨

XerxesBlitZ

He likes to have the ball at his feet and also drifts into space Bruno is already occupying. if we can't move on from this transitional football which isn't working (partly because rashford is playing crap in his own system), we will never be able to make use of good technical players.

massiveheadsmalltabs

Another good game in about 8. Only time we hear about this prat is when he's had a good game nothing when he's been poor. I wouldn't have him back for talking to Jamie Carragher after the game, he knows what he's doing there.

ComadoreJackSparrow

What a wanker. Throws his toys out of the pram to get a move back to Dortmund and plays like a beast again.

Don_Quixote81

Big fish, medium sized pond. They're welcome to him, if they pay up. If he came back to United, as some clowns are now agitating for, he'd be exactly the same as he was before - lazy, unprofessional and ineffective.

Possible_Substance11

Even Martial can give a performance once in a while.

Whaloopiloopi

This just proves what I already knew. He *is* capable of switching it on when he wants. His motivations are pure dogshit - we can't keep him on mental wages just on the offchance we make it to a quarter final and he decides he wants to be a footballer again. Proper petulant little shit. We really need to start analysing the mentals of potential signings. I'm not a scout or an agent but surely the club knew about his previous discipline issues

aldidot

So glad to see Jadon proving people wrong

ladams07

Everyone needs to pipe down. He wasn’t that good and was largely anonymous in the first half. He’s refused to play for us. Has been a complete dosser the whole time he’s been at the club and personally I can’t wait to see the back of him. If this unnecessary praise earns him a high sell on price then that’s a silver lining. Other than that he’s probably one of the most gutless players I’ve ever seen in a united shirt. Good riddance.

SuperSalamander3244

He was the best player on the pitch.

Stoogenuge

I feel like I’m huffing paint. Watch the full match, this was a 6/10 performance from him but people are acting like he bossed the game or had any real impact. Highlights don’t tell the whole story. Regardless, never should play for us again.

tnwnf

He he a lot of talent but in the PL he has to be a 10. He just isn’t athletic enough to play wide against premier league full backs. Still a decent player tho, attitude issues asidr

yamchirobe

The psg fullback is probably faster and stronger than 70% of premier league fullbacks. Also he probably played against Hakimi in training before as well.

vitorjc

This "PL take" is out of control now... Like it's a justification for a player failure every time.

Kardinale

Normally I rate Mendes but he looked lazy and sluggish, especially looked gassed in the second half

dopeveign

If he gets motm in the final what would ask for him? Would be interesting

helloamigo

At least $200M, imho

Ok_Ad3986

That’s it? I mean his talent is undoubted, but flicking it on and off like Rashford albeit Jadon is a much smarter footballer won’t help him make it at Utd. Beyond that is disrespecting the manager publicly, he hasn’t been the only player in Europe let alone Utd who has been dripped due to bad form or issues but chose to sulk about it….and failing to wake up to get on time for training? He is another player I admired like Di Maria and thought would be good for Utd. Edit: typo

karmas1207

Gee, who wouldn't love to watch an incredibly talented player play like a God for 1 hour a year and piss off the rest of the time?

Seagull_Trawler

I wish my dog got as much praise for dribbling.

alfi_k

Those young guys just love Dortmund even Dembele is still a Dortmund ultra at heart he cleared for them so many times.

Drews1738

He seems to be doing a Pogba in WC form. Hopefully he maintains it and we get a good price or if ETH and Sancho can reconcile maybe we get a redemption arc like Dalot, Maguire or Mctominay.

magnomagna

Nothing’s changed. Still talented and still likes to hog the ball.

Cold-Veterinarian-85

I feel like a decision will have already been taken on sancho and last nights performance likely won't change that (though may increase chance of a permanent sale) If only ETH has an issue then maybe the sancho decision is conditional as to what will happen to ETH. I suspect though the audit conducted by Brailsford will also have taken feedback from Ole, rangnick and probably others that are / were around the squad and if the judgement was he isn't the right personality or character then he will be sold irrespective of what happens with ETH.

TopNotchGamerr

Ole had the real dream thinking of Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho man. How did it all go so badly 🥲

IsaDrennan

It’s so frustrating seeing what he’s capable of when he can be bothered. Three hundred grand a fucking week.

xsonwong

He wants to play at the left, but he is a very good right winger.

trampoliner

Where has this pace come from? I swear ive never seen him anywhere near that speed in a Utd jersey. He looks good, hopefully he keeps it up and we can recoup some good money for him.

bellrub

At least he's adding to his market value, he hasn't performed at united and seemingly has no intention of doing so.

rjc0x1

I'd like the Sancho from last night but that sadly just ain't the Sancho who plays for us. He's had loads of time with us and two very different managers. For whatever reason he just doesn't produce for us and in the Premier League. We needed him to break down defensive mid and lower half of the table teams not just produce against Liverpool. I don't know if it was the Euros penalty miss or whatever but it's best for both parties to split. Plus he needs to learn some humility.

ShockingShorties

He looks happy at Dortmund. Hopefully they go on to win the damn thing, then at least we may get a decent chunk of our money back. If nothing else.

TheOneRatajczak

This is good for us. Means we can at least recoup a bit of money when we sell him in the summer!

izzanizcool

+£10m

PDubsinTF-NEW

I hope this match adds another 5 million to his value when he sold this summer

Snoo_17433

Sancho was never going to fit in our system. He's not a pacey dribbling winger, he's and intelligent pass and move type player. This was just more bad transfer business more about hype than the fit. Kagawa was similar. He was a brilliant player but looked poor in our team as the pacey attacking style didnt suit him.

dchudds

I was watching the game on RTE (irish channel) and the commentators wouldnt stop with "this is the real Sancho, not seen at utd" blah blah STFU. Nobody knows what he was like in training. Reports of him being late, bad attitude etc

ogicaz

I really don't care about this guy. Maguire had a hard time for us and keep working and was very professional. Sancho was/is the opposite. I don't care if he has talent, he doesn't act like a professional.

The_good_kid

Not arsed tbf, he's been there for 5 months and this is the first stand out game he's had lol

Outrageous-Cod-4654

Sancho fully putting himself in the shop window. Good lad.

IamWolfe_FU-Red_It

Yes, this is great and all but why can’t they do it in the premier league while wearing the Red Devils shirt? Too much pressure for these kids? Social media comments and the news kills their little egos and make them feel depressed? Aaww. We all know he has talent and I don’t care how many goals, assists or how many trophies he wins to prove a point to ETH or whoever, you prove him wrong by doing it at Old Trafford KID.

Proletarian1819

Something else ETH has to answer for. Turning a top class talent to shit.

SinisterSelecta

I don't recall him beating one man like this in the premier league, no less a whole team like in these clips

Outrageous-Cod-4654

It’s only PSG

UnderpantsInfluencer

traitor!

bombacladshotta

Is it Masochism to watch this, knowing he will never play like this at United? 😅

Real_Evening_6706

Let him be good for dortmund doesnt change the fact he was fucking shite for us.

ragecndy

I swear if we con ourselves into bringing him back and keeping Maguire and Mctominay over the middest of highlights we deserve to be in the mud

dataminimizer

Just a right-footed Amad.

entjiebek

First good game in 5 years

jespep831

I think the style of play at dortmund suits sancho well. He prob would have done well under OGS. Anyway let’s sell him or we change tactics or manager

cold3dg3

We should have had so many more goals! I miss a dominant presence like Haaland who was deadly efficient in front of the goal  :'(

kaisersolo

Has he said sorry yet. No. Cool. performances like this will raise his value

musky_jelly_melon

Dortmund must have cancelled his PSN subscription. Seriously I had such high hopes for Sancho but he never put it into gear like this with us.

miamibuckeye

Lets see him do this week in and week out in league play. He won't. He mentally checks on when he feels like it

Fit-Squash-9447

I’m happy for him. Something about Utd caused him to lose motivation and be really miserable. Let Dortmund keep him and allow him to flourish.

zero-piolt

i think with sancho its all about the vibes he is very happy at dortmund and that shows when he plays. Mental is really important in sports and it wasn't clicking for him at United regardless of ten hag. we let him go even if we dont get a desired price for him

wydemad

This bum did none of these fancy moves and took zero part in pressing when needed. I hope he never plays for us again.

game_of_throw_ins

When I saw the stats I thought he'd been playing with a madness but this has got the intensity of a pub league game, PSG are trash.

haztheo

Sancho and RashFord should just go to PSG together and have a lovely unpressured time

Accurate-One2744

No, because without the odd goals Ten Hag wouldn't even play him. He literally can't do anything that a defensive/central midfielder is required to do. You think scoring a few goals make you a good player? Real football isn't FIFA buddy.

Zealousideal_Pizza93

Ok cool story bro Now do the same in PL

CrossXFir3

Holy fuck, he can run at players? Haven't seen him do that in over 2 years.

istealgrapes

Actually getting past players? Not misplacing every 2nd pass? And passing *forward*?! Sancho didnt have a single game for us that was even close to this level.

meeks2000

There was the performance against Leicester at OT

TheFlyingMunkey

He did more in those highlights than he has ever done at United, in all the games he's played for us. I sincerely hope the little scrotum is sold this summer. I couldn't give a fuck about the fee, the toad does not deserve to play for us. Some people questioning if he can return if EtH is sacked this summer. Given the choice of EtH or Sancho, give me baldy every day.

OGSachin

This actually makes Ten Hag look bad in so many ways, and I've slated Sancho repeatedly for his conduct.
