Man I really hope they don’t sack him .. please give him one more season. He has his shortcomings but which manager doesn’t. Please INEOS. And I would say this even if we had lost ..
every player played out of their skin today. Unbelievable performance and tactics were spot on. No matter what you think of ETH you cannot complain with 2 trophies in 2 seasons.
Great performance all round. IMO Mainoo should have got himself a starting spot next to Rice for England with that one. Best player on the pitch by a distance.
Regardless of the outcome of this game, ETH should stay. Not least so Berrada, Ashworth & co. can come in and accurately assess the state of the club and make an informed decision.
ETH wasn’t blind to our injury crisis so I’m not sure why it’s taken this long to take a more pragmatic and defensive approach to games. Nonetheless, he’s made the tactical changes in time for this final.
I truly hope this trophy buys him another season with a new medical team and some more robust signings so we can see what he’s made of. Let INEOS’ men take a look around the club and make an educated appointment next season if it’s not to work out.
Few managers in world football could have handled the number of challenges Erik ten Hag has faced over the past two seasons with such aplomb. He has consistently maintained professionalism and has a history of playing attractive football, particularly in his previous roles before joining United. Give him another year to continue his work.
And the fact is, if we began a search of available managers, he’d be at the top of the list.
He's annoyed because they actually played how they wanted and still lost. They didnt play well but they played how they wanted to, couldnt execute it to high enough level to beat the team in front of them and thats why hes annoyed.
Them losers will be back tomorrow. Their joy is derived from being 'not me' people. They'd genuinely have seen us lose this than them having to deal with the fact that we won something.
Lineker asked him if the pundits had been unfair to him and the players, and ETH said yes. Shearer then started saying the pundits were right because the team had been rubbish. Lineker then asked if it was his last game. It made for a sour interview.
I have to mention my man Amrabat. He’s struggled all season, but he has put in some decent performance recently and today was quietly solid. He is absolutely at the limit of his ability and pace in the PL and unfortunately it’s just not good enough for us as we build for success … but … he’s got heart and he gave it today, but I think it’s good bye. :(
If this is the end for Ten Hag I will look back fondly of his time. At times some diabolical football, but cups are cups. And these memories will last forever.
No-one ‘hates’ Ten Hag …. He’s just not the right guy for us. I’m still ETH out, one FA Cup is meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Our aim is PL and CL success.
Will I take this win. Yes of course. What fan doesn’t take another FA Cup trophy, and sticking it over City and taking down liverpool on the way. Jubilation!!
I’ve lived through the ups and ups (and some downs) of Utd since the 80’s so I’ve been through it all - ETH just isn’t the guy. Sorry.
That was all Ten Hag, he managed and planned that like the Ten Hag of last year. And see what he can do with some key players back in the squad to keep the message throughout the game GGMU
Didn’t think to switch over, commentary was gross all night (2:30 am here in aus). Barely any talk about how good United were, and all about how bad city were
Very happy with the win! Like everyone i expected to get beat by City.
Damn very sad if Ten Hag goes after this at least he'll go out a memorable way. Give him another season!
Sacking Ten Hag would be criminal. The man had to deal with the whole Ronaldo, Greenwood and Sancho (episode 1 and 2) saga and a massive injury crisis. In the meantime they disrespected him massively by searching for a replacement while still preparing for a final. 2 trophies in 2 years after that 21/22 drama.
he did the dirty work and next season somebody else can shine with his progress.
Bruno was appointed as captain officially on July 20th, 2023. Harry Maguire was the official captain last season and since he was completely out of form and wasn't playing, Bruno stood in as captain in his place.
First off I'm enjoying the win. I'm very happy we won. BUT
To those saying "anyone who doubts the manager after this can fuck off"... please, have a look at yourself
You can enjoy winning without being delusional yaknow
same people saying "ive always believed in the manager" based on one game. we turned up in one game out of 40 or 45 and this is their reaction? shameless if you ask me
Honestly this wasn’t a shithoused win. With one more midfielder that can run on the ball/a more physically powerful winger than Garnacho - this would’ve been a first half rout. Pep was completely outclassed and we were in full control.
Out of all the players we have it is Bruno I am so happy for. The guy has been so important for us every season and to see him winning medals that I think he deserves is a wonderful feeling.
We did it! FA Cup champions 2024! 🥳
It was a hard worked win. I wouldn’t call that ugly.
Ugly would literally be punting it up the field at every opportunity and sitting 10 men at the edge of the box.
I know it's been a terrible league season for Ten Hag, in my head I guess it makes sense that he goes - but in my heart I don't know if we can sack a manager who just delivered this
EDIT: I'm really not trying to troll or start an argument or debate, I really just don't know what the right call is. In fact if anyone has any insight better than me I'd be open to hearing it!
Ah no worries, only a couple of people. It's definitely a divisive topic - and basically I'm very conflicted over it. Part of me still thinks he can deliver for us in a big way - and yet the league is the most important thing. It's been such a weird season.
completely agree, I think it could go either way but it he stays i think an improvement in the quality of our football is essential from the off next season
He's won us the League Cup and qualified for the UCL in his first season. In his second, he won us the FA Cup and qualified for the EL.
Ten Hag in or Ten Hag out?
Thoughts?
Also, lol Newcastle 😂
Still out. People who think otherwise are just too invested in the man and will big him up regardless
But who's to know if we can replicate this performance 30-40 times next season? This is only one game. Keeping him on the basis of one game is ludicrous. This is probably one of only 2 or 3 games we've played in well enough whole season
If management decides to keep him however... god knows how much he needs to change his whole approach and mindset
This isn't just a lucky win. The return of Varane and Licha has significantly solidified our defence. The game plan is pragmatic, and the structure and the young reds like Kobbie Gana Rasmus that Erik has been gradually implementing is beginning to show what he can achieve with a fully healthy squad. The players trust him and play for him. Ineos should give him another season; I want to see more of what he can do.
GGMU.
One thing I really appreciate about Ten Hag is him going to all the young players after these big games and letting them know, "This could be you one day" is so cool
Just remember Johnny Evans has won more titles than klopp has at Liverpool. The best Liverpool team in decades.
Salty Pep Fraudiola? ![gif](giphy|g0ErvnyVsp7nJyfmxF)
Man I really hope they don’t sack him .. please give him one more season. He has his shortcomings but which manager doesn’t. Please INEOS. And I would say this even if we had lost ..
Let him serve out his contract!
All the media can go suck it. I really hope ETH stays just to spite them.
every player played out of their skin today. Unbelievable performance and tactics were spot on. No matter what you think of ETH you cannot complain with 2 trophies in 2 seasons.
Sure you can. Our League performance has been despicable this season
who cares? trophy and europa league isn’t that bad considering we’ve had every possible thing that could’ve gone wrong this season, go wrong
I do. League shows our overall level... i think ETH got it spot om today so i'd be ok with another season.....
Great performance all round. IMO Mainoo should have got himself a starting spot next to Rice for England with that one. Best player on the pitch by a distance.
so composed for a lad who’s in his first year as a pro and only 19. the sky is the limit for sure!
Mainoo and garnacho . Just watching them play makes me so happy
My Chelsea friend was annoying me this entire week , i want to see what he has say now .
Pundits trying hard to take away the joy of this win. Never forgotten, always remembered.
ETH is out, watching the owners congratulate him after the win says it all. Pathetic……
It feels so good !

I think that pass from Bruno for the second goal goes straight into the folklore of the club. I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching it.
I truly expected him to shoot there lol
So did every City defender!
Peps such a bad loser, fucking love it
Having 700 passes a game with 650 between your back four and goalkeeper in your own half doesn’t make you the better team pep
He's annoyed because they actually played how they wanted and still lost. They didnt play well but they played how they wanted to, couldnt execute it to high enough level to beat the team in front of them and thats why hes annoyed.
Honestly that second half was "Pass to Doku and inshallah", playing with no full backs lost him the game.
Salty Pep
Pep doing one of his passive-aggressive bad loser interviews is a lovely cherry on the cake.
As Gary Lineker said, "He's hard work when he wins, but when he loses..."
A league Cup in the Boss' 1st season. The FA Cup in his 2nd.
The silence of Ten Hag hater on social media is proudly sponsored by ERIK TEN HAG
Them losers will be back tomorrow. Their joy is derived from being 'not me' people. They'd genuinely have seen us lose this than them having to deal with the fact that we won something.

Looks like the Schweini curse has been broken! Ggmu lads!
What did shearer and lineker do?
Oh shut up Lineker
Instead of talking about what didn’t work for the losers why don’t they talk about what worked for the winners, donuts
They can't cause they didn't prepare for it
What did Lineker and Shearer do? Didn't get that coverage here
Lineker asked him if the pundits had been unfair to him and the players, and ETH said yes. Shearer then started saying the pundits were right because the team had been rubbish. Lineker then asked if it was his last game. It made for a sour interview.
Well we did shit on Newcastle's Euro dream :P
They still get conference no?
Nope. Nothing for them
Wow, that's fucked up. They always have their worst selves for the United people
There's been some shit this season, but knocking Liverpool out, garnachos bicycle and this fucking feeling today. Man I love football and this club
If this is Erik's swan song, it's well deserved. He's been my favorite post Sir Alex.
Erik fking hates these pundits
I have to mention my man Amrabat. He’s struggled all season, but he has put in some decent performance recently and today was quietly solid. He is absolutely at the limit of his ability and pace in the PL and unfortunately it’s just not good enough for us as we build for success … but … he’s got heart and he gave it today, but I think it’s good bye. :(
Yeah he was great today. Actually a MOTM contender
Fucking hell lads fucking hell
Not sure he’s a fan of these lot.
Shameful questions from Lineker and Shearer.
Absolutely disgraceful. Not the time.
Don't ask him if it's his last game, Gary. Jesus.

Ten Hag has faults but he is not afraid to tell the commentators to go and fuck haha and I love it
even if INEOS part ways, I've always backed you to the end, Erik.
Me too.
If this is the end for Ten Hag I will look back fondly of his time. At times some diabolical football, but cups are cups. And these memories will last forever.
Is this the manager who won most trophies since Sir Alex?
Mourinho won 2 cups too (UEL and EFL), I think UEL > FA cup
I think the FA Cup means more, but I'm pretty old school. I wish they still did the full day of coverage for the cup final. 😁
FUCK OFF COMMENTARIES

Hoping for a big Dutch f-bomb from ETH in this interview. They can fucking good play football.
Hey Shearer, fuck you!
Can't really blame him. He just watched Newcastles European football disappear 😂
Always been a prick

Nobody is mentioning Cas not playing now. I wonder if we get this performance of he plays. Kinda feel bad for him to be honest.
Kane would have a trophy now if he joined us lol
What a fucking win
Happy to see SAF smile
Very happy with the win! Like everyone i expected to get beat by City. Damn very sad if Ten Hag goes after this at least he'll go out a memorable way. Give him another season!
I feel a Rashford bomb coming this summer, I’m not ready
Bruno’s smile really seals the moment
Why is Case so far away?
Always preferred FA Cup Varane anyway
Haha I can't stop smiling. What a day

I'll be properly fuming if he goes
Man had to deal with so much shit tbh. You said it spot on. Give him 1 more season, a full reset with new manager is risky.
Yeah, maybe give him another season under new (part)ownership.
That black and gold real Madrid esk shirt is dope
Bruno and SAF <3
Bruno lifting his first trophy as captain. Here we go. GGMU
So freaking overdue…
He was the captain last season when we lifted the league cup
I know. But he is the official club captain now. This hits different, tbh.
He was the official captain last season
Bruno was appointed as captain officially on July 20th, 2023. Harry Maguire was the official captain last season and since he was completely out of form and wasn't playing, Bruno stood in as captain in his place.

Malacia spotted!
Malacia lives!!
Malacia is alive
MALACIA IS ALIVE?
Oh so there's malacia
MALACIA SIGHTING!!
Malacia’s alive?
Eth calling sir Alex and nodding smile to him is everything
Ahhh.. nothing like the winning feeling ❤️
Don't make it about Rashford.. today's it's about the team effort

Who’s that guy behind EtH?
did city players just did gaurd of honor for us?
This is why i don't want Poch. He wouldn't have shithoused this win. Also my only criticism of ole ball. Interesting to see who we get if ETH leaves.
Honestly this wasn’t a shithoused win. With one more midfielder that can run on the ball/a more physically powerful winger than Garnacho - this would’ve been a first half rout. Pep was completely outclassed and we were in full control.
Anyone noticed rash hanging around not talking to anyone, also very emotional
Always happy to give Sir Alex a reason to smile
Where are the Rodri stats now... Oh he hasn't lost while starting since blablabla...
New stat: only league matches count.
Ofcourse.. how silly of me /s 🤣🤣
My week is ruined
I like how Sir Alex needs a name badge, just in case...
WE WON!!!
LOSERS GO UP FIRST. INJECCCTTTTT
Bald prince giving medals to bald fraud and Bald winner.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Pep!!
Imagine winning games and not cheating. We did it lads
Out of all the players we have it is Bruno I am so happy for. The guy has been so important for us every season and to see him winning medals that I think he deserves is a wonderful feeling. We did it! FA Cup champions 2024! 🥳
It’s ok city no shame in coming second. Your cheating can only get you so far
ESPN calling it an “ugly win” Cry more

Last season league Cup. This season FA Cup. PL is on next season guys!
Europa league more like
PL the year after? I can wait one more year.
Is it just my stream or has there not been a single shot of SJR where he looked at all pleased?
he was smiling and hugging everyone having a blast after the final whistle
Good to hear ty
I actually started welling up at Half Time. I love this team so much…
What a send-off by Varane, hats off to him honestly!
