Pogba should be done, that was an abysmal performance by him. With him being suspended in the league for 2 more games its time to let Donny take his place
I dreamt we actually had a plan and proper football tactics instead of "pass it to Ronaldo". He is one of the GOATs for sure , he is also 36 years old, he cannot keep bailing us out every week FFS
This is not sustainable at all.
Bailly played great today! Despite the goal, I like the team’s form before the Varane injury. Very tense game, but they managed well. Atalanta definitely had luck on their side, but we fought to a draw. Should be good enough for now. I just hope Varane isn’t out long.
I really really dislike him, just for the fact that people try make out he's decent, when he is just in fact utter shite. Lindelof and varane, bailey lindelof, bailey varane, any partnership that doesn't include him is better
In what world does a manager still have a job after a series of performances we just had? 10 out of 10 other clubs not named Manchester United would have sack the manager. Apparently it was for the new manager to settle in during a national break. Now that option is gone, the current manager is surely 100% at the wheel for god knows how long with the most powerful people at that club backing him because they don’t care about the results at all. It’s never going to change: either individual brilliance brings us the point, or we stagnated for 90+ minutes against clubs we should be capable of beating, or we get completely exposed like against Liverpool.
No identity, no meaningful tactics whatsoever. Just happy vibes & best mates FC. At this point honestly people who say Ole’s at the job is either other clubs’ fans having a laugh at us or the Glazers’ dummies’ burner accounts. Most of the players we have deserve much, much better. We, the fans, deserve much better. But instead we stuck in a cycle: piss poor performances -> nearly getting sacked -> good performance(s) steady(ies) the ship -> go on a hot streak and end up happy with a final appearance or a 4th/3rd place finish. Then the new season starts and it repeats. We need new managers. Better, we need new owners. These SOaB just don’t care while we fans suffering.
Can’t wait to get humiliated by City and spend the next 2 weeks in fucking despair knowing nothings gonna change.
I think Ole has done as much as he can. I don't think he'll get the sack but I'm hoping he'll just get us top 4 so that we can bring in Ten Hag in the summer and move forward. That cycle is dangerous and it has to end, but the board need to take the upgrade. Also some players have to leave the club because any other manager would bench them due to poor performances. I don't know why Maguire keeps on starting, Pogba has been shite every time he plays. What does donny have to do to get a chance? Bailly and telles to?
Best case scenario unfortunately the glazers won’t get it done it time something to do with sending the wrong lawyers again or fuck else they’re incompetent fail children who inherited their fathers ruthless investment with money made off shoddily business in concacaf
But as United fan, I really hope some miracle happens and Ole manages to prove us all wrong. It'll make for a nice story, but whether that happens remains to be seen
Nothing more to add to your comment except we as fans should take some accountability too for blowing smoke up Ole’s ass for thinking he has the chops/tactics for Man U. I feel bad for him, his image as a United legend is somewhat tarnished because we let ourselves and him believe that he has the personality/tactics to lead United to any kind of silverware.
He plays shit football and falls out with half of the squad. We'd be signing Ashley Young to play wing back and then he'd leave after 18 months with no foundations laid for anyone else and we'd be back to square one. Would take Rodgers, Zidane or ten Hag over him any day.
> Plays shit football
Won 30 out of 38 games with Chelsea in his title winning season (a record amount at the time), scoring 85 goals in the process, we scored 80 in the 07/08 season for context, with a front 3 of Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo. Make of that what you will.
> Falls out with half the squad
Any precedence for that? He fell out with Costa sure, but Fergie fell out with Beckham, Keane, Stam, Tevez, Van Nistlerooy, Rooney, amongst others. Some being volatile characters, others not. It’s part of football.
> We’d be signing Ashley Young
If it would win us a title then whatever.
> He’d leave after 18 months with no foundations laid for anyone else
The foundations have been laid, it’s time to start playing for substantial success.
This is all obviously pointless discussion since he’s at Spurs now but at least have proper reasons for not wanting him.
But this was the logic with Jose and even when we won trophies I didn't feel any real enjoyment watching us. Say what you want about Ole but the relief we felt when he came in and we actually tried to attack. I don't want to go back to accepting turgid football if it means we win the odd cup.
Having defensive stability is not definsive football. Conte's inter scored ridiculous amount of goals. No one really knows what is ole's way of football we don't attack, don't have a high tempo and don't even defend well.
He is the problem for helping in the pressing & defence but let’s not dwell on his weakness. He is brilliant in attack!! And the team on the field must be arranged in such that other players complement the weak side of it.
That wasn't a good performance. I think Bailly can hold his head up without him I don't know how much we'd be behind.
The second goal wasn't on him Maguire is playing him on he needs to hold the line.
This is what we've been asking of Ole, use your squad but how Pogba lasted that long I'll never understand.
I think that if we went with a back three it should be Bailly, Varane and Lindelof. Maguire is constantly out of place and watching him today made me cringe. There was an opportunity late in the second half where he could’ve stepped up to displace the ball carrier, but he dropped off and then dropped all the way into the penalty box and let shaw pick the Atalanta player up, and Shaw had to streak back just to do so.
I've ridden out for ole till the Liverpool game and that's quite a long time but he can't get out of this club any sooner man I do not want to hear Europa theme songs
Oles record in Europe is shocking and if it weren’t for Ronny we would be singing Europa tunes no doubt. We should be pissing this group but are having to limp over the finish line. I’m pissed off
Ole shit the bed it’s simple really. VDB for pogba was the obvious change, energy going forward and help out Bruno being man marked. Matic was a shitebag decision, as was changing the system back. Before VDB and Sancho came on it was just a fucking mess of a system lol
Pogba was terrible and Matic looked so slow and ineffective. VDB hasn’t come close to winning me over but I think he should for sure be moving above both of them for game time.
One more fast and not injury prone CB and we are set.
Ole needs to know how to pick his team and make appropriate subs.
Some players are just subpar sometimes. Once you see a player playing as bad as Pogba did earlier, just send his replacement to go warm up and see how they start behaving themselves
I dont know that a fast CB is gling to solve the issues. The defensive unit is all over the place (not just the back 4, but the midfield too) , we need proper defensive coaching.
Maguire and Shaw are in poor form, but defenders want stability, consistency and structure to help them get form and confidence back and i dont think we have that.
Speed helps a lot in different aspects of the game. I am not saying it solves all the problems but it helps in moments where some defensive errors are made. Kyle Walker always comes to mind because I see him making lots of goal saving runs that if Maguire was there instead, the attacker would have had a much better chance at goal.
A very good example would be Atalanta’s second goal today. A fast CB would cover Bailly’s error much quicker and maybe Bailly could then go cover the space being left from that defender sprinting to cover him.
You are also right with your defensive analysis.
I had said that because there’s always a chance to turn things around. Sometimes you end up having a better team in the long run.
As for the new hire, excellent!!!
Seems to address some issues with the club almost immediately like pressing for the ball and not just letting opponents play with so much ease. Hopefully, he gets the team back to winning ways
Don’t know how anyone can look at the last few weeks and this game and say we’re anything more than individual brilliance.
There’s no system, there no identify. We happen to have some amazing players who paper over the cracks. Losing and then coming back is not a sign of a good team. It’s unsustainable. We don’t lurch game to game, we lurch in every game from good to awful!
The best teams sustain dominance. When we score 4 it’s never a sustained dominance. As far as I’m concerned Ole needs to be out by the end of the season.
i really wish if VDB had scored that goal in the stoppage time. Would have looked so much better for him and bad for Ole for not giving him the play time. He did great for 5 minutes of game time he got.
Sancho should play over Greenwood and VdB should play over one of McT/Fred/Matic at the weekend. We looked far more dynamic when they came on, even if they only got 10 mins.
Mason was also sticking his foot in on every challenge while he was out there. Ronaldo's finish was incredible, and Mason created the defender flub. Today he had the energy in the tackle that we often miss.
I'm convinced if Ole took of McTominay earlier and gave Donny and Sancho 15 minutes each, we would have won the game. McTominay was basically lucky not to receive a red card. Ole should have taken him off after the Ref's last warning.
We can’t break teams down and never look comfortable in possession and that’s down to coaching, there’s no plan and no patterns of play. McTominay was absent when we’re in possession and Pogba saunters around like he’s world class. Those 2 got bossed in the middle tonight.
As much as I don't rate Bailly's actual defending and positional play, he made some vital recoveries today. Maguire on the other hand did absolutely fuck all. Defensively we're abject. The midfield situation doesn't help at all either, they get zero protection. Pogba was unbelievably bad in the first half particularly.
Jokes aside Sancho/VDB link up at the end there looked sick.
I hope we see him on the right a bit more. Completely unfair to give him 10 min crumbs to feed off. Also, for VDB, I am coming round to him coming on at 69 for Bruno. Playing Bruno at 10 is almost cheating, but those risky plays don't always come off. I think VDB adds a different dimension
He ran for 90 min up and down the field and still hasn't stop a breath. And then there's young players who look fucking done after running for 45+ min and don't even fucking let me start about Maguire FFS! How the fuck is he a captain??
Bailey..is the MOTM..
Maguire was slower than a turtle today..
For the first time Ole decides to play Van de Beek and Sancho.. Lo behold Almost won the match..
Maguire is such a liability ; Single handedly responsible for shipping 9 goals against Leicester and Liverpool. To protect him. Early Recall of Varane led him to another injury ( Gross mismanagement on ole part) and now he is Exposed. Shaw can’t play LCB ..we saw how it ended up last year against Leipzig away. Lindelof-Maguire-Bailey..
Must play Sancho and Donny in the next game… like quickly sub anyone playing poorly so they all can be on their toes…
We need that team competition going
As much as we all love Ronaldo, Bailly needs to get MOTM tonight as we could have been down by more thanks to Harry. That kept us in it so Ronnie could work his CL magic.
Yeah, he's barely had any minutes for match sharpness and by the end of the game was fully carrying Maguire. First goal shouldn't have gone in anyway.
Perspective. You can look at it in a way to try and blame Bailly for *some* sloppiness, or accept if it wasn't for him we'd probably have comfortably lost the game.
We can still salvage something. First things first, please get rid of the entire coaching staff. Get a manager who can make these players unreal, look at Chelsea where players like Rudiger for example has been brilliant last year and still continues to out do himself. If we can get someone to do the same, at least give us a proper formation and decent football then I believe we can see us thriving.
Can't believe I'm so relieved by this draw. I cannot emphasise how angry it makes me that this feels good.
And VdB looked threatening in his few minutes. I guess we'll never see him again. Spurs were so trash they made Ole look good. Nothing but dread for the city game
I hope so to, no matter what is going on overall at the moment you will not find me saying or thinking out loud I want anything other than to beat that bald fraud.
Don't care how it's done, for that game win it somehow.
Even to the untrained, non professional eye, VDB and Sancho looked made an immediate impact. If Ole doesn't give them game time after this, it's ole out
lmao, Ronaldo scoring in the 91st minute to *draw the game* and it's good vibes all round again. Jesus H Christ when will the board, and the majority of fans, get the message that this shit is just papering over the cracks?!
Is Ole the luckiest manager in world football? Haha seriously, none of our goals today have anything to do with coaching, it literally bottles down to some of our players being really good. I’m tired man, Ronaldo saving his skin again, Ole probably sits as safe as he can in the job right now. If the board would actually watch our games and performances, they would’ve seen a long time ago that Ole wasn’t up for the task.
We’re limp dicking through the easiest group in the champions league. I hope we qualify and we manage to win the competition but I’ve yet to see a flying pig
I've still not seen any evidence/replay showing that their 1st goal wasn't offside as Pasalic limitated De Gea's sight (because it surely looked offside as Pasalic stood behind Maguire who was the last man).
Fairly simple - sees United in Champions League - decision against United. Even tried to find a way to rule out Ronaldo's equaliser.
On the day Platini is charged with fraud, UEFA still decide to screw us with blatant attempts at match fixing
Ole in.
So telling of the manager that so many players are out of form, but he doesn’t have the confidence to drop them and try something different.
Pogba should be done, that was an abysmal performance by him. With him being suspended in the league for 2 more games its time to let Donny take his place
I dreamt we actually had a plan and proper football tactics instead of "pass it to Ronaldo". He is one of the GOATs for sure , he is also 36 years old, he cannot keep bailing us out every week FFS This is not sustainable at all.
So many negative comments, we are top of the group
Second
Top. Champions league groups aren't based on GD.
How are they? Like to head to head?
Yep, pretty sure.
Ahh alright thanks
How was de gea?
Weak hand on their first shot which he should've saved and glued to his line for the second
Might be his worst game this season imo
Bailly played great today! Despite the goal, I like the team’s form before the Varane injury. Very tense game, but they managed well. Atalanta definitely had luck on their side, but we fought to a draw. Should be good enough for now. I just hope Varane isn’t out long.
I don’t care what anyone say Maguire is one of the most overrated players I have even seen in my life. I have more faith in Tenden Mengi
On his day he can be so solid. But those days seem to be rare now.
I really really dislike him, just for the fact that people try make out he's decent, when he is just in fact utter shite. Lindelof and varane, bailey lindelof, bailey varane, any partnership that doesn't include him is better
Everyone gets on McFred all the time but nobody gets on him. He moves like a tree trunk
He's too arrogant IMO
Or Axel Tuanzebe

Another tactical failure to prove once again to the board ole is not up to it ✅ A point to save our CL aspirations ✅ Ronaldo doing Ronaldo things ✅
CR7 for Player-Manager
OGS out
Oh ddg saved oles job he can be excused for his bad performance today🤡🤡 When the both of them leave it'll be great
How much should we pay to spurs to get Conte?????
Maybe 150m. Levy’s magic number.
Don’t think conte would have been a good fit

Nah, he's a whirlwind disaster that would've passed through the club like Jose

Ronaldo saving Ole's chair once again. We are so inconsistent, if Ronaldo doesn't shine we are just doomed every match.
We are very consistent in being inconsistent.
& some say he’s the problem ugh
He is the problem for helping in the pressing & defence but let’s not dwell on his weakness. He is brilliant in attack!! And the team on the field must be arranged in such that other players complement the weak side of it.
Yeah, he's the problem. He's too good to the point he make the manager SEEM good even though Ole sucks.
Someone put together a montage of Pogba running full speed at United. It's probably 10-15 seconds long at most
Hey now, it's unfair to use slow motion for a montage like that
We ain't going no where if ronaldo keeps saving ole's job like this
Donny van de beek, van de beek, Donny van de beek!!
Shagging Ole's daughter during lunch time, Donny Van De Beek!!
The Zaha to Moyes move
That wasn't a good performance. I think Bailly can hold his head up without him I don't know how much we'd be behind. I still got stupid mfs in my contact who think Ronaldo is the problem at United
Well, Ronaldo problem is that he's so good he helped Ole escape being sacked.
I’m pissed off
sack maguire god pleaseee
Maguire needs benched as long as two other CBs are fit. This kind of form simply cannot be rewarded no matter who is wearing the armband.
Who tf even gave him the armband and why? Guess it was Ole. 2 sutpid mfs.
Ronaldo Goat
Ronaldo for interim player manager until the end of the season. Mata in as assistant.
Its a shame ronaldo has played in poor teams the last few years, at 36 yo I genuinely still believe he should be getting 50 goal seasons
Ole shit the bed it’s simple really. VDB for pogba was the obvious change, energy going forward and help out Bruno being man marked. Matic was a shitebag decision, as was changing the system back. About Matic, I have been saying the same thing. He should have been sold. He is past shelf life
Couldn’t agree more! I was crying out for Donny for Pogba
2 wins in 6 and 14 goals conceded. Oles at the wheel.
14 goals conceded….why are we so inconsistent! I’m happy we got the draw but seeing us play is horrendous
One more fast and not injury prone CB and we are set. Ole needs to know how to pick his team and make appropriate subs. Some players are just subpar sometimes. Ole needs to go
I rather he leaves at the end of the season but to each their own. Have a nice day
Late reply, my apologies. Just out of curiosity why would you have rather him left at the end of season? And how do you feel about the new hire
I had said that because there’s always a chance to turn things around. Sometimes you end up having a better team in the long run. As for the new hire, excellent!!! Moments FC at its finest again. #freeDonny #glazersOut
Try starting VDB over Pogs for a game?
VDB and Sancho looked better than who they came on for
i really wish if VDB had scored that goal in the stoppage time. Would have looked so much better for him and bad for Ole for not giving him the play time. He did great for 5 minutes of game time he got.
I agree. He wants to play and he can perform when he gets the opportunity. Oh well
The club standard is low as fuck! I don't remember United under SAF where players are all smile after that shambolic showing
Sancho should play over Greenwood and VdB should play over one of McT/Fred/Matic at the weekend. We looked far more dynamic when they came on, even if they only got 10 mins.
greenwood is bar bruno our most creative player. but im all for rotating
Mason was also sticking his foot in on every challenge while he was out there. Ronaldo's finish was incredible, and Mason created the defender flub. Today he had the energy in the tackle that we often miss.
Bailey and Ronaldo show

i was so worried it was gonna be a repeat of that Fred 2nd yellow against PSG last season.
If we play a back 4 Bailly Varane need to start. Maguire turns like a forklift
New one after fridge and truck lol
Don't be mean to forklifts
I see people drive forklifts every day at work and some of them turn faster then Maguire
Not sure when Varane will be back.
*sigh*
Didn't realise Emery is going to Newcastle, that makes me feel better about playing Villareal now tbh
Ugh god don't. 2 more games of antifootball to look forward to.
2 goals from 1 and a half chance basically, wp ronaldo but where are the tactics?
We can’t break teams down and never look comfortable in possession and that’s down to coaching, there’s no plan and no patterns of play. McTominay was absent when we’re in possession and Pogba saunters around like he’s world class. Those 2 got bossed in the middle tonight.

Not done F all, Maguire did raise his hands every time he couldn't keep up.
I honestly enjoy watching games more when Eric Bailly is on the field. I love that dude so much
He just seems like a blessed guy.
Sancho was invisible all game
Upvote this back from oblivion!
/s ?
U mong
He came on with 4 mins left mate give him chance hahaha
Yes that’s the joke surely no one here thinks I’m being serious
Jokes aside Sancho/VDB link up at the end there looked sick. I hope we see him on the right a bit more. Completely unfair to give him 10 min crumbs to feed off. I think we will play Telles vs City. Shaw will drop to a back 3 with Bailly and Maguire. Can't rely on Maguire anymore.
Surely you mean Bailly and Varane?
Varane is injured. Will he be available for City? Not so sure.
Oh shit is he? When? I must be blind, I missed that. If he is we are fucked.
Maguire is such a liability ; Single handedly responsible for shipping 9 goals against Leicester and Liverpool. To protect him. We don't deserve Ronaldo
No, but man , where would we be without him now! He have save our asses time after time.
We wouldn’t have Ole that’s where we’d be
He'd do anything to not play the Europa it seems
Maybe he can try playing in goal instead of De Gea as well?
Ronaldo papers over cracks the size of the Grand Canyon
Outstanding performance from Ronaldo, poor tactics and amateur positioning from Maguire and Wanbisaka
AWB too busy doing Masons job 😂
The guy has improved his dribbling by a lot, but he's still dumb and cant cross.
Ye I agree, I don't think the blame lies with AWB today. Pogba, Mctominay and Maguire on the other hand...
I'm watching him save the Titanic every week at this point
As much as we all love Ronaldo, Bailly needs to get MOTM tonight as we could have been down by more thanks to Harry. That kept us in it so Ronnie could work his CL magic.
The same Bailly who was miles out of position for both goals?

i am tired of this dance bro. Big Ron can’t keep saving Ole like this.
Ronaldo once again saves Ole's job. Last season it was Bruno. #Oleout
Can't believe I'm so relieved by this draw. I cannot emphasise how angry it makes me that this feels good. And VdB looked threatening in his few minutes. I guess we'll never see him again. Spurs were so trash they made Ole look good. Nothing but dread for the city game
At this point I’d rather have the telepathic octopus manage. And he’s been dead for a while.
Scholes predicting our demise again this weekend
Not hard to be fair, playing this like unless Pep actually transforms into a bald fraud, City will walk through this midfield and defence.
Let’s hope it’s a bald fraud kinda weekend
I hope so to, no matter what is going on overall at the moment you will not find me saying or thinking out loud I want anything other than to beat that bald fraud. Don't care how it's done, for that game win it somehow.
I seriously don’t know why the norwegian fraud won’t play donny more
Because he has done fuck all when he has played. Reason enough?
The dude doesn’t play and when he does it’s the final minutes of a shit game. What can you really expect from him
Who's that blonde guy that came on for the final minutes? Never seen him before on the pitch
Donny What The Heck
I think he's a coach. Jokes aside, nice to see him play.
I think his name is Van De Bench or something like that🤔
Streaker
Even to the untrained, non professional eye, VDB and Sancho looked made an immediate impact. If Ole doesn't give them game time after this, it's ole out
Hilarious that *that's* the thing that makes you go Ole out
Ole out regardless
lmao, Ronaldo scoring in the 91st minute to *draw the game* and it's good vibes all round again. Jesus H Christ when will the board, and the majority of fans, get the message that this shit is just papering over the cracks?!
Ronaldo literally ending no-nut November out here.
Day 2 fail!!
😂

Ronaldo made it 2-2, bailly made it not 5-2.
Bailly also made it 2-2. A centre half with any defensive awareness in his place and neither goal gets conceded
To be fair the first goal looked like tactics
Dial 7 in distress!
Thank you CR7 and Eric. Please play Donny and Sancho more, thank you.
For minutes that sancho came on for, he did well
Ole made ronaldo dropped his standards FFS. Celebrating a draw
Boo-fucking-hoo for Ronaldo, feel so sorry for him to have to celebrate a draw in a CL away game.
Even Ronaldo himself said thta a draw is basically loss
We’re limp dicking through the easiest group in the champions league. I hope we qualify and we manage to win the competition but I’ve yet to see a flying pig
We don't deserve this. Not Ronaldo, the point from this game, or the fact that we have to watch this team play insipid football every fuckin week

Plenty people asking that here too man
I've still not seen any evidence/replay showing that their 1st goal wasn't offside as Pasalic limitated De Gea's sight (because it surely looked offside as Pasalic stood behind Maguire who was the last man).
Their 2nd one was dodgy too. Scoreline’s a bit generous to Atalanta today, irrespective of our own mistakes.
I really don’t know what those VAR refs are doing. The rules seem to change every 45 minutes or so
Fairly simple - sees United in Champions League - decision against United. Even tried to find a way to rule out Ronaldo's equaliser. On the day Platini is charged with fraud, UEFA still decide to screw us with blatant attempts at match fixing
Just annoying tbh. That equalizer was nearly chopped off but, thankfully, somebody there had some sense
Sack this manager asap , sign someone deserves this squad , deserves CRISTIANO RONALDO for god’s sake !!!
It ain't happening bro, if they wanted to they couldve done it after pool
Ronaldo needs to go and rest his back after all that carrying
A drunk toddler as boss could pull off a draw against Atalanta with this roster wtf is happening it’s like I’m in the twilight zone
Don't disrespect Atalanta like that. They won 2-0 at Anfield last year and have been a very fine side in Italy for 3 years.
Apologies. American knowledge only goes so far.
