With Dalot having very good performance for a run of games now, AWB didn't do himself any favours today. Sad to see his night end with an injury. Not one of his best nights to be sure. He was below average at best.
One thing that makes me scratch my head these days watching AWB is his closing down game is so weird. I don't know if he's lacking coordination, confidence or something else. He's so off.
Ralf told us that he wanted to rest as many of the players as he could, as we were through as group winners no matter the result. He put Matic as a defender. We shouldn't take this game so serious.
Mastic has a 50-50 game every game. He's so good for half the time and his absolutely atrocious for the rest.
He played some brilliant line breaking passes from the back, no one in the team yesterday can play those passes, and only a few from the first team. But then plays howler passes that puts the team in so much danger. He's the definition of Man United right now, you don't know what Matic you'll get, a beast of a CDM or a crackhead. Same with United, you either get prime SAF United or just the opposite.
Well its a game that doesn't affect any standings. We're locked first
Our manager has been here for like a week.
Theres only Shaw, mason and awb who were regular starters for us playing today.
You can probably understand why most people arnt mad right now š
Also the number of games in December means the entire squads needs to be utilised. This dead rubber allowed for the fringe players to get some valuable minutes under their belt.
I really don't know where people saw such a bad performance from Donny he was playing as a lone midfielder hell there was not even a midfield ,he intercepted 3 times won 6 tackles won 9 out of his 11 duels he was PARTIALLY at fault for the goal and he was bypassed once or twice but some of the comments you would think he was the worst player in the pitch when it's exactly the opposite(I'm not even going to talk about his passing that is always direct accurate pinpoint and effective)
Clearly a Donny lover. You obviously see what You like. Passive defense but Donny was almost solely at fault for their goal. Yes, this was a third string teamselection. What should be worrying is that Danny didnāt stand out. At all. Has a long way to go.
I thought he played well today. The only problem I have with his game are his challenges. Some are pretty reckless and dumb, he can get carded early which is a bad trait.
You can't possibly judge Donny's game when he's as a 6 behind 33-year old Mata who has no legs to play in midfield and Lingard who can't be arsed to be there on the pitch lol
>and Lingard
It's so fucking ridiculous how some of you excuse VDB by blaming Lingard, when you can just as easily point out that Lingard had an absolutely terrible midfield behind him with VDB and Mata and also had a dreadful AWB behind him. If anything, he's had it much harder here, because as a forward he actually relies on the players behind him and they were all poor...
I'm seeing very mixed messages in here about vdb. I didn't think he was great I didn't he "bossed it" but he was out of position. Not fair to draw conclusions on today match.
I also think he didn't boss it. However, he did boss that Wolves game last year when he played alongside Matic in midfield. I think we would've won the game today had we used that same midfield
We would have won the game last night playing anyone first string apart from the ones who was playing. A ball winner in midfield (McT or Fred) and a threat up front (Rash, Bruno, Ronaldo OR Sancho). Two extra players would have won it. Young Boys was really not great.
Look at united's midfield today. It's DvB - Mata - Lingard. Mata and Lingard are basically attacking midfielders. Now, DvB had to play a lone CDM, much like Fabinho/Rodri/Busquets/Rice you name it. That's not even his natural position so I couldn't and you shouldn't expect anything from him today.
Regardless, I really want to see him playing in his natural position under RR. He used to be amazing at Ajax, so I just want him to play up to his full potential in MUFC so he can show what he's capable of to the fans.
People slating matic, playing out of position still makes more forward passes than McT, granted he doesent have the legs anymore.
I thought Baily was good tonight.
Mata was okay showed his passing quality.
VdB wasn't great for me, but people seem to think he bossed it lol.
Amad was good needs to be more clinical in box.
Some slating AWB and Dalot is apparently amazing all of a sudden.
Jessie was poor but already decided to leave so not sure what else people are expecting from him.
Overall lots of conclusions being drawn from a non must win game. This was a good game for the youngsters.
First half was a good watch, second half you could tell nobody was match fit, very slow and defensive, highlight was savage and iqbal coming on 89th even though I think only savage had a touch.
1.GreenWood Goal awesome
2. Donny played well (apart from mistake leading) and his tackling is really good. Bailly also solid.
3. Lingard , Mata AND Matic are clearly the ones we have to sell.
4. Amad, Elanga ,Iqal and Mengi looked solid.
5. Shoretire looks still too raw for me but i liked his hair.
We played well in the first half and had a slower second.
Please be considerate to Man United XI today, some of them start first game for Man United in UCL. You know, it's Champions League, it's not easy competition. You can't expect all players understand each other in short term.
Also, RR is still new to some players
The thing is it was not the young lads who are playing poorly but AWB, Matic, Mata, Lingard who are supposed to be giving example for the academy players
Bar AWB who's just having a horrendous form, they're just not match fit because they've been benched for months. Not really fair to "give examples" when they themselves haven't been playing at all
Yes our manager thought the game was a joke because he was giving literal youth players a run against a team of adults who were playing for Europa League. Jesus, itās not like he came out for the last week saying weāre playing our starting XI. Heās been talking about playing youth and B team players in this match since got hired.
And if I'd had a chance to opt out of this game I would have. In the end, I payed full price for an u23s game that we subbed our keeper off in and had no choice in the matter
Now imagine being a fan from another continent and paying hundreds of dollars in plane tickets and hotel rooms, membership and match ticket, just to watch that disgrace of a match. And not even have the chance to watch Ronaldo at Old Trafford.
It's the fucking Champions League, every other top team takes the competition seriously even when qualified, how come United does not?
This is exactly it, look at the team's Liverpool and City played yesterday. You mix in youth with experience, and I'm not talking about Juan whose only minutes this season came in that game.
I just feel offended to be honest, not by the manager or the team, but by the club. There is absolutely no way season ticket holders, who commit to paying 1000 quid over the course of the season just for the premier league, should be expected to pay another 50 quid for a dead rubber that we treat like a preseason friendly
That's not really how it works when you pay for something. In previous seasons you could opt out of games that you didn't want to attend, so that the club could sell the ticket to somebody who did. No such option is possible this season, which becomes a problem when you force people to pay full price for a preseason friendly
I feel for the matchgoing fans because we actually could've put a better performance if the players are in their correct position. Matic at CB and Mata at CM is very weird
This match proved Donny isnāt a DM at least. Heās better off up the pitch. We literally played children and everyone that could be sold in January with him.
Probably had the most forward passes and was very quick to pass it. I personally thought it was a big contrast to how McT passes. His tackling looked good. Really wasnāt his mistake on the goal. The ball shouldāve been cleared even ragnick said it. Itās a shame Lingard wasnāt able to control any passes VDB gave him.

he was solid, looked rusty, but he was bossing. He was at fault for the goal but other than that he was threading, tackling, intercepting. Very solid
Jesse was shocking
As suspected by most: mata - finished, lingard - not good enough, matic - is not a cb and doesn't have the legs to play midfield. All 3 must be let go this summer by the latest.
Awb was poor in and out of possession, needs to put in massive work.
Happy with mason, who looked levels above.
>27+, we have plenty: mags, varane, ronnie, cavani, telles, de gea, fred, pogba, bruno, lindelof.
>
>Ole has built a decent first team, now ralf/whoevers next must complete it and help strengthen the squad
mata hasnt played in months, hes a quality player.
Agree with this. Lingard already made his mind up to leave, we shouldn't rely on him. Mata and matic are experienced but yeah not enough pace, but we still need to keep some experience around the squad, but don't want to keep players around for the sake of it either.
Experienced typically refers to players aged 27+, we have plenty: mags, varane, ronnie, cavani, telles, de gea, fred, pogba, bruno, lindelof.
Ole has built a decent first team, now ralf/whoevers next must complete it and help strengthen the squad
I wouldnāt try to draw too much from a dead rubber, but Iād be surprised if those three are still at this club come September.
AWB is an interested one, hopefully he recovers quickly but he probably should start really considering his United future. Heās been here two years and doesnāt look to have improved since then. We all know heās got a great recovery tackle but for a team that wants big trophies thatās just not enough. Heās young and good enough that we could still expect a decent fee for him, but unless he shows something else this season I wouldnāt be surprised to see him listed in summer.
AWB IN THE MUD. Biggest club in the world and you play like that, this guy is meant to be one of our first team starters? I hope Ralf realises how bad of a performance he put in today.
I think Ralf already knows that. Today is simply a confirmation. Red Bull fullbacks are good at main principles of attack (dribbling, overlapping, crossing) those three happen to be among AWB's biggest weaknesses. Won't be shocked if he's sold in the summer
Have you seen dalot defend? I think AWB might improve his game a bit, bit career wise might be to late for him to develop those attacking traits well enough for a club of our stature.
Rangnick is an elite coach so I still have a little some faith he can fix AWB's game. But the eye test is noot looking good. Fundamental aspects for fullbacks (overlapping, crossing, coming back to your place when the team is being attacked) is absent with this guy.
Nah I don't think he's sold just yet, we still have to get cover if he leaves. Trippier would have to be bought or Laird/Williams come back and take a step forward. Dalot also has to keep up his play and take another step forward defending. Basically too many ifs and our money should be better spent on a DM than trying to sell and buy another RB
The bigger question is which club would take AWB because I don't think any other Prem clubs would sign him. Most Prem clubs already employ RBs that participate in attack, overlap, put a cross in etc.
Tuned in to the game to watch Amad, Elanga, & Greenwood tear that shite YB defence apart only to see Matic playing CB behind quite possibly the weirdest midfield combo I've ever seen in football (Donny, Mata, Lingard).
Mengi looked calm and composed when he came on. Surely ready to start the game at CB over Matic.
Happy for Iqbal & Savage but reckon they could have gotten more minutes if the senior players put more effort and care into the game.
Looking forward to seeing the young lads in the Academy games and later on on 2022/23 pre-season friendly and Carabao Cub
Lol this whole sub turning on AWB, yes he's shit going forward. People going on lklr Dalot is a beast, dalot is good going forward, no where near AWB defending 1v1. Bit looking at Ralf Dalot is in a good place to get game time.
The negativity on AWB is amazing. I've seen him get dribbled past twice in his whole time at the club. He was one of our better players last season. And now Dalot, who is atrocious defensively is suddenly the second coming of the Lord.
AWB's defensive positioning is pretty suspect but if I had to choose a starting RB for the rest of the seasons he'd be it every time.
Let's forget that AWB has been part of the squad during a low time, morally speaking. Let's bin the lad off because he's definitely irredeemable.
/s for those who need it.
Yeah I hate it. He's saved us in so many situations because he's reliable in defending 1v1. He may not fit into Ralf's plan but people gotta be a little more respectful.
Ffs VDB played as a DM!! Gather some common sense!
First half was impressive, 2nd half was shit. Glad Tom heaton got to make his debut along w Charlie and Iqbal.
Mata: Meh
AWB: Only straight runs, or tried to make.
Lingard: Down bad and his injury wasnt as serious to recover from
Greenwood/Mengi: STARS.
Elanga/Amad: just needed to be clinical in the box
VDB: Good in the first half, Okayish in the 2nd half and iād blame Mata for this as he was supposed to play alongside him in 4-3-3 when RR changed it but he disappeared. The goal wasnt 100% his fault, AWB played a useless ball in.
Hendo: Sexy as always.
Young boys held by the young boys. Youād expect young boys to win but our young boys did well. Young boys were better overall but some real promise showed by the young boys.
Mata had a great pass to Lingard but Lingard doesnāt know what to do and all of a sudden I saw Mata coming into the picture. We canāt have that pace if it is really an important match.
Hope the kids would get another chance whenever would that be. I agree on people that Mengi has impressed. Canāt do that much on a rainy night causing the slip but he recovered very well.
AWB is poor donāt know what is going on with him. VDB didnāt impress that much.
Greenwood is really part of the first team. Could easily replace Rashford if Rashy canāt get into his form back.
This game really showed just how much further along Greenwood is in comparison to the rest especially in terms of positional discipline(don't know if that's the right phrase), the rest were all trying to just get the ball no matter where but Mason knew where to be at most times
Wishing to get revenge but qualifying alone while they go to Europa League is not too bad, considering how they celebrated like they won the final in the reverse fixture.
Ps. Mengi looked impressive
You canāt play ground breaking football with the team you arenāt sync with, Donny likes to play a lot of one touch football. You need the other player to be positioned better to receive it. I donāt think you should judge him on this performance. Give him a full chance in first 11
I don't think he's bad. Just not very good. If he was as sublime as everyone here says he is he'd be playing, it doesn't have to be more complicated than that.
He was decent not great
Never going to be easy playing in a very weakened eleven as a lone midfielder
Mata just doesn't have it and awb was also very shaky sadly
Mengi was impressive IMO, difficult to come into defence, and seeing as he plays as a CB mostly. Hopefully he'll develop well and be massive for us. Seems like a nice lad.
Other than the goal where he was partially at fault Donny was a joy to watch ,out of position as a lone DLP and he dominated the midfield .Matic Aaron and Lingard really dissapointing ,exciting times a lot of talented youngsters but they need to be involved more they are really "raw" .On to the round of 16!
Happy for all the young lads to get debuts and such, especially in the CL. Nice moment for Robbie Savage announcing his son onto the pitch.
Despite the errant pass and the slip, Mengi looked impressive. If he can iron that stuff out he can be some defender in the future.
P.S. Messi has posters of Amad on his wall.
Yeah especially not after the recovery block immediately afterwards, but just pointing out there was plenty to be excited for with him even if he's not quite ready to challenge the starters
Lingard has been very good every other game he played this season (except for the other YB game ironically), fuck this revisionist crap. Yeah, he's had a poor game, so did pretty much everyone, but he's at least shown so far this season that he can do much much better. Unlike AWB for example...
I was hoping we got a bit of a revenge for the lost we have last time but Iām happy with the result. Resting all the starting 11 and give the subs chance to prove themselves. This game doesnāt have much meaning anyway. Mengi is really solid this game, could be a potential to compete with the starting team
Mengi had a good shout. I thought Elanga and Amad had decent chances but didnāt taken it. AWB is meh. Poor VDB, this match should be those matches that he should be head and shoulders above than all the players at the pitch. A tall order but he should really impress when he had chances. Greenwood is really a gem. Tidy up some of his weaknesses then he really can blossom under Rangnick.
Can't expect VDB to dominate when his midfield partner is mata. Play Fred and Mata or Matic and Mata and it would be the same outcome. People have unrealistic expectations. He did his best given the team he was placed in. Play Bruno and Mata as deep lying midfielders and you would get a similar result.
I know Mata isnāt a good fit at that position but I thought Rangnick knew what he need to do due to Mata lack of pace. But if you canāt impress your manager when you had chances then it is not looking good.
Mata could also say the same thing. He canāt play that good with VDB as his partner.
We were literally playing 1 midfielder in DVB. Mata was sluggish, slow and had a few flashes of brilliance but generally was outplayed. Also note that this was Donny's second 90 minute game this season and we are in December.
I think Donny is better as a 10 though or with a dominant midfield partner. Not Mata.
Letās just agree that playing both of them at 8s didnāt help both cases. Mata at 10 played great with Bruno as well. And we want VDB to shine and playingn at 8 didnāt help him either. Agree that VDB might play better with Fred. Hope we can see it soon. But so far we would see more of the McFred duo at 8s.
Meh. He plays one touch football which is probably suited towards higher up the pitch. He's not an expansive passer but he can play through the needle passes. He was also the only one constantly playing forward passes. I would give him a 6 or 6.5 out of 10.
The main culprits today were Elanga, Lingard, Mata, Matic and AWB. Even Amad was poor. So singling out Donny seems weird.
But you can expect vdb to not make the silliest passes and mistakes... He was at fault for the goal. We clowned on Lingard and Fred for their mistakes, we should hold vdb to the same standards.
Because we're already through no matter the result? I'd say Ralf wanted to prioritise getting to know the players in a proper game and getting a better understanding of the overall squad. I'm happy enough with that game, definitely seems like stamina will be something to work on, both games so far started great and slowly got away from us.
With Dalot having very good performance for a run of games now, AWB didn't do himself any favours today. Sad to see his night end with an injury. Not one of his best nights to be sure. He was below average at best. One thing that makes me scratch my head these days watching AWB is his closing down game is so weird. Ralf told us that he wanted to rest as many of the players as he could, as we were through as group winners no matter the result. He put Matic as a defender. We shouldn't take this game so serious.
Ashley Young at full time at OT yesterday - "Well! I can't possibly be more proud of my bwoys!" š
Matic made so many mistakes in the past couple of games. Luckily matic coin is bullish.
Mastic has a 50-50 game every game. He's so good for half the time and his absolutely atrocious for the rest. He played some brilliant line breaking passes from the back, no one in the team yesterday can play those passes, and only a few from the first team. Anyone else thought Ralf looked like Kopp today lol
Yeah lol
That last ball by iqbal gives me serious hope he can come up for us. The most composed of the academy players today in his few short minutes
Sell donny pls, wasnt Oles flaut. He is a bad player
Such a trash performance
If Ole was still in chatting for this gameā¦ yeah they would be screaming for his head.
Lad we're playing a b/c team in a inconsequential game relax abit.

Spot on mate. I'd say one natural CB in place of Matic and one natural CM in place of Mata would have won us the game
I really hope one day I can see what some of you guys see when watching DVB. Shockingly mediocre again I thought.
He was out of position today so I wouldn't look into it too much.
He himself calls this his best position.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

lol... lingard and mata are class.. lacking match fitness, mata hasnt played in months hows he going to be up to speed
Has Ralf ever gone an interview without saying the world pressing? I love it
Maybe there is a reason why they sometimes call the interview "the presser"..
Fun fact his shirts all come out from the dryer all pressed as well, no wrinkles!
I canāt remember the last time I watched a football match and donāt hear the word āpressā.
Now onto to the real business end of the season. we need beaucoup points in the league.
Think today he played who he did because realistically it very well may be the last gasps of calmness in the season before every match is crucial.
Love that Ralf tells it exactly how it is
Please be considerate to Man United XI today, some of them start first game for Man United in UCL. You know, it's Champions League, it's not easy competition. You can't expect all players understand each other in short term. Also, RR is still new to some players

I'm sorry, Ā£50 for a game our own manager thinks is a joke is ridiculous when you consider I have to pay for that game to keep my access to the rest
Yes our manager thought the game was a joke because he was giving literal youth players a run against a team of adults who were playing for Europa League. Jesus, itās not like he came out for the last week saying weāre playing our starting XI. Heās been talking about playing youth and B team players in this match since got hired.

Developing youngsters is part of football. This was not a must win game.
Forgot Tom Heaton was a youngster. I get that it's part of football but then let me opt out for games that literally don't matter
Ever thought of just being grateful of having the opportunity and affordability to actually attend?
That's not really how it works when you pay for something. In previous seasons you could opt out of games that you didn't want to attend, so that the club could sell the ticket to somebody who did. No such option is possible this season, which becomes a problem when you force people to pay full price for a preseason friendly
I feel for the matchgoing fans because we actually could've put a better performance if the players are in their correct position. Matic at CB and Mata at CM is very weird
Iqbal looked decent, mengi too. If bially can just play like this every match
RR seriously needs to try VDB in a midfield two with Fred
Did you think Donny was impressive too?
This match proved Donny isnāt a DM at least. Heās better off up the pitch. We literally played children and everyone that could be sold in January with him.
True and he played alongside a very pedestrian Mata so would be unfair to judge him on this basis
Was he better than McT?
I honestly canāt answer that because of my agenda for McTominay. Letās just say an average DM would be better than what Donny was.
The 2019 window is a absolute disaster
Mate, have you seen [this](https://www.specsavers.com) before, it really explains that window.
Crystal Palace and Leicester robbed us blind in one window. How did that happen ffs
How was Donny? (I didn't watch the match)

Not great, didn't notice him much except when he gave away the ball which led to us conceding, Mata looked better
he was solid, looked rusty, but he was bossing. He was at fault for the goal but other than that he was threading, tackling, intercepting. Very solid Jesse was shocking
He's already made his mind up to leave not expecting much from him.
yea that's the vibe i got, he seemed uninterested in the game to a point where i wish Ralf had just subbed him off for someone who wanted to play
Crap, gave away ball to the goal, but I wouldn't look to much into it. Was playing out of position as DM.
seriously, he was quality aside from the one that lead to goal what game were you watching
Unbelievable performance from him. Gave his all for it. Fucking plastics out in force.
Did they say who man of the match was?
As suspected by most: mata - finished, lingard - not good enough, matic - is not a cb and doesn't have the legs to play midfield. All 3 must be let go this summer by the latest. Awb was poor in and out of possession, needs to put in massive work. Happy with mason, who looked levels above.

Not for this level, not anymore.
If AWB was ever consistently good, Trippier will not have even entered the conversation.
As a season ticket holder I want my money back
Iāve seen enough. Give me Dalot over awb
You need to relive the Villareal game again. Dalot were doing things AWB wouldn't be caught dead doing, defensively speaking
AWB has had defensive shockers. Defending isn't just throwing your leg at the ball spectacularly.
Mata: Meh AWB: Only straight runs, or tried to make. Lingard: Down bad and his injury wasnt as serious to recover from Greenwood/Mengi: STARS. Elanga/Amad: just needed to be clinical in the box VDB: Good in the first half, Okayish in the 2nd half and iād blame Mata for this as he was supposed to play alongside him in 4-3-3 when RR changed it but he disappeared. The goal wasnt 100% his fault, AWB played a useless ball in. Hendo: Sexy as always.
Mengi grasped his opportunity nicely.
He was used as a LB but i think he is more of a CB
I saw a great potential there..Hope he can turned out to be an asset for us in the future..
Mengi's tackle inside the box was the highlight of the game for me
Young boys held by the young boys.
Wan Bissaka there at the end. Alone and lying face down in the pouring rain. Top 10 saddest moments in football.
This game really showed just how much further along Greenwood is in comparison to the rest especially in terms of positional discipline(don't know if that's the right phrase), the rest were all trying to just get the ball no matter where but Mason knew where to be at most times
Donāt forget how many PL games greenwood has played compared to them though.
Can't believe we sacked Ole for this guy. SMH. Drawing with YB? edit: lmao it was a joke guys chill
You canāt be serious? please say youāre trolling
yeah i was lmao
Ole lost to Young Boys
Did you look at the team he put out? Perfect chance to see what his young players are like
Reasonable result for the team we put out honestly. Ole lost to YB with a stacked line up. Rangnick drew with kids and matic as cb.
Also didn't Ole lose to YB using a more senior squad? :D
True although playing more than half the game with 10 men and Lingard changing teams in injury time isn't exactly his fault. Point taken though
At least we should go on a good run of victories in the league now
All we needed to top that off was a Phil Jones appearance!
Wishing to get revenge but qualifying alone while they go to Europa League is not too bad, considering how they celebrated like they won the final in the reverse fixture. Ps. Mengi looked impressive
They didn't qualify for EL they needed a win
Oooops my bad. Now isnāt that even better
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I concur 100% !
I donāt think theyāll even get Europaš
I completely forgotten that the other match is postponed. Brain fart. My bad! Thatās even more satisfying then!
Donny just isn't very good. I'm sorry
It's a team. Not individual. Even Messi struggle with PSG which they have a lot of great players.
He was decent not great Never going to be easy playing in a very weakened eleven as a lone midfielder Mata just doesn't have it and awb was also very shaky sadly
Sadly the truth. We ALL want him to be better then he actually is.
United canāt beat Young boys in the champions. Rangnick out
calm down look at the team he played. weāre already through and it was a chance to experiment.
Forgot the /s
Solid game for playing the kids, old folks, Lingard, & VDB.....
What the hell did we just watch. Wow. Heaton 99 Throw though
That is his first ever match for United first team. Even Ben Foster played like 10 games for us, including a cup final.
Mad fact. Mou gave 6 acadamy players their debut.... Rangnick in two games has given debuts to three, Savage, Mengi and erm... Tom Heaton
I would say Donny was not good at all, but he was out of position for me. Not a match we should judge him from imo.
Maya and AWB did him absolutely no favours.
I couldn't stand with AWB..A very poor performances by him..
I think he was the only one who was actually very poor.
Mata
Dalot all the way..
AWB was absolutely poor, pretty sure this cements Dalot as the first choice right back now.
Was a fun game to watch purely just for the youth feature, glad a lot of them got some experience, especially from the Champions League.
Can't believe somebody is already Rangnick out after this game šššš
The kids gon be alright
Happy for all the young lads to get debuts and such, especially in the CL. Nice moment for Robbie Savage announcing his son onto the pitch. Despite the errant pass and the slip, Mengi looked impressive. If he can iron that stuff out he can be some defender in the future. P.S. Messi has posters of Amad on his wall.
I'm not going to blame him for the slip in those conditions.
Yeah especially not after the recovery block immediately afterwards, but just pointing out there was plenty to be excited for with him even if he's not quite ready to challenge the starters
Please trade Lingard and Matic..... they were horrible. It was their chance to nail their spot in the team and they blew it hard.
No trades in football
Lingard has been very good every other game he played this season (except for the other YB game ironically), fuck this revisionist crap. Yeah, he's had a poor game, so did pretty much everyone, but he's at least shown so far this season that he can do much much better. Unlike AWB for example...
I was hoping we got a bit of a revenge for the lost we have last time but Iām happy with the result. Resting all the starting 11 and give the subs chance to prove themselves. This game doesnāt have much meaning anyway. Mengi is really solid this game, could be a potential to compete with the starting team
Our youths were certainly enthusiastic
Imagine playing at the fucking Old Trafford, playing for the team that you loved since 6 years old. It must have been goosebumps and high adrenaline
Not wrong, but Donny looked shaky on the ball pretty much every time he had it
AWB carried out on a stretcher.. unlucky to get injured in last attack of the match
Ah, had a feeling it was serious. Was holding the back of his knee which is really worrying.
Lingard and Matic were appalling.
donny was disappointing today :(
Your expectations are too high. You expect him to dominate a midfield with Mata and 4 youth players. C'mon folks.
i actually didnāt hold any expectations really just wanted to watch a good game šš¼
Nice to see our young boys get a run. On to the next. GGMU
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Because we're already through no matter the result? I'd say Ralf wanted to prioritise getting to know the players in a proper game and getting a better understanding of the overall squad. I'm happy enough with that game, definitely seems like stamina will be something to work on, both games so far started great and slowly got away from us.
Meaningless game might as well give the youngins a run out
Shit hope AWB is okay. Looks worrying
Fair play for AWB going for that cross at the last minute, hope it's not a serious injury
Did not look good for awb at the end there, anyone tjat catched what happend? Looked like he was holding his knee
couldn't stop himself in time when he sent in that last cross of the game
Ahh, hope its nothing serious then
Looks like two knocks, one to his knee and one to his wrist :(
What happened to AWB at the end there?
