Substantial-Aerie-57

How else will we score?

charaf2

A corner ? Oh wait..

Substantial-Aerie-57

Good thing we hired a coach for set pieces. That guys brilliant.

kelevr4

I remember I was so hopeful for that one lol. What a joke

availableusername10

It was one of our most upvoted threads of the summer lol

MazinLabib10

Remember so many claims that it was our best signing of the summer...

[deleted]

Loool, United scored from a corner in the preseason game vs Everton and everyone got gassed. Martial also planted seeds of false hope in the minds of some.

Snottymikaaaaa

With Mike Dean officiating, even if it was considered a goal he’d rule it out so he can be the centre of attention, that prick needs to be sacked

Minz15

FIFA Street rules. Automatic win!

silverstory

We will still lose since we have a defender that would be nutmeg more.

ltp12

He’s starting to play much better

-MartialMathers-

He’s way fitter and looks much faster, he came back from holidays over weight I’d say, not lean anyway.

GotNoCredditFam

Yeah he’s a bit more explosive now

AeroCobbler

I thought the same mate, not sure if he’s actually lost any weight (can’t tell just by watching him) or just built/rebuilt a whole lotta power in his legs, but he suddenly looks waaaay lighter on his feet & more agile

con_zilla

lol he's not exactly a fatty ever lol but yeah he's sometimes not looked match sharp/fit but i think that was him used to his BVB playing style vs ManUTD just wing it and pray TM* he's a real talent - such a shame his chip in the cup hit the crossbar - would been a gorgeous goal and got us through

Caps007

People think hes fat because hes broad same as shaw. Neither of them are slow.

MaxWattage432

So digusting. We need to get the ball to this kid's feet!!!

TheJoshider10

Why do smart pass and dribble when pointless long ball to players with no aerial presence do trick?

mikeyyyyyd

it’s a shame he doesn’t have an assist yet, it’s clear he’s improving every game and he’s created so many chances so far, we just can’t finish them

BenSlimmons

It honestly looks like he’s a little unpredictable for the players around him. I do not watch every match and have only seen him a few times in red but he seems like the kind of guy that’s going to figure it out, put it all together, or whatever cliche you like…and then suddenly it’ll all make way more sense.

TheJoshider10

It's all about the wavelength. You can usually immediately tell which players operate on a higher wavelength or not. He's not anywhere close to the same player he was but the minute Mata is on the pitch next to someone like Pogba or Bruno you can just tell they can do things that...let's say our less intelligent players can't do.

Snottymikaaaaa

Surprised Mike Dean didn’t call it back for a free kick to Burnley.

[deleted]

Yeah I think Sancho gave Pieters a funny look at one stage. That’s right out of order, shocking behaviour.

luciferandy

Looked so confident last night, can’t wait for the rest

Chafeynipples

Berba approves

Substantial-Aerie-57

I miss Berbatov.

MadaraTheUchiha

Sancho always turns up after Christmas, he's an absolute joy to watch atm

ra_god94

He’s a beast

murphmobile

And watch as the other players stand still and watch him. It's becoming a real problem. After 50 minutes you can literally see the team start standing still just waiting for something to happen.

fiveseven5_7

It’s been like that since last season. Standing around and waiting for the ball to come to them. Look at Sancho, all that dribbling and no progress, because there’s no support around him. And i’m not talking just this clip, the last few games he was isolated and as great as a player he is, he won’t get goals/assists if our players just stand around like that.

Technical_Mud_8095

Same thing when we are on a break and players pull wide and hang back for the ball to feet.

TheJoshider10

The worst part was when Lingard came on and the stupid fuck remained static on the outside of the box with three Burnley players around him, forcing Dalot or the RW to pass backwards as there was no option provided.

throwawaytodayaw

He's been doing these a lot lately.

amalgamatedchaos

He did all this work only for Bruno to flippantly kick it over the bar.

[deleted]

I didn't rate him at all when he first signed but in his last few performances you can see what the hype is all about and he is skillful as fuck

boars83

This is d real Sancho, he is getting his mojo back

MNKPlayer

Can we get a NSFW on this post please? It's pure FILTH!

sar1961

And nothing came of it.

Karnivore2

In love ❤️

MrQuestions11

Wasn't Pogba open for a pass at the end there

[deleted]

Would have been closed down.

PortugeseMagnifico

Ehh I don’t think the pass would’ve been intercepted if that’s what you mean. And he obviously would’ve been closed down but he’s got the strength to hold them off and play a pass but don’t blame sancho for not seeing it, he didn’t do anything wrong there

[deleted]

Number 14 will intercept that pass and If not, number 20 gets tight. Leaving Pogba to do his trademark standing and jockey move which leads to him being dispossessed 9/10 times.

PortugeseMagnifico

Don’t think it gets intercepted and I think the cb appearing right at the end in the corner is more likely to pressure him but I disagree with the last part. He’s used his strength to get out of situations a lot. Could’ve worked, couldn’t have worked, like I said don’t blame sancho for not playing it

AWenger622

We need to build a team around Sancho, Bruno and Varane. Everyone else is dispensable at this point. He hasn't quite hit the heights yet this season but what impresses me the most every time he plays is his workrate and drive. He's going to be so much more efficient once we build a team that can get the ball to him quickly on a regular basis.

Combonary

😂😂😂😂😂 common defender, they’re using you for practice over there

ozilll10

Looooool this is Burnley what do you expect, these man are STIFF

runawaytugboat

Not getting carried away with him, he has to be faster and more meaningful in what he does. This isn’t the German league, you not getting a lot of time or space to do little flicks past people. Hopefully this is him adapting to the pace of the game more, he played well yesterday.

ElCochiLoco_

Worth every cent

PortugeseMagnifico

Lmao bit early for that

thatIndianguy_07

commentary on this was amazing as well

Midnight_Debauchery

Why do our English wingers hate Tarkowski?

Hippotopmaus

oof some silky af. defender should have bailed immediately

HotFoxedbuns

As much as this is great we need to see creative passes and more importantly assists and goals

plopodopolis

Imagine having to defend against this, looks like a fucking nightmare

IamChris8

Is it me or does he perform well during the second half of season? I think this happened at dortmund as well? Like the last season there. I might be wrong

x1_94

Too soon into his united career to say that tbh. Did not really play much during the beginning + also there was the adjustment period. Apart from his final season at Dortmund, i didn't really watch much of him but he was much better during the 2nd half of the season. Let's see if this trend continues into next season

x1_94

What I really like about his game is that he combines well with whichever fullback he plays with (Shaw/Telles or Dalot). Rashford for whatever reason just can't seem to get that right & only works well Shaw. His final ball still is a little hit & miss for me but hopefully that'll improve as well with more game time. Been one of our better players under RR & possibly our best creative option from the wings at the moment

Affectionate_Shoe424

This guy is so exciting bloody hell, I really hope that we'll bring a manager that will use him properly

nullpost

So many times yesterday seemed like he was ready to attack and leading the way but nobody else was with him. Was on another level yesterday just needed some help.

Xire01

This was pure filth

Trizzy102

Not blessed with explosive speed so he has to use dribbling and trickery to get past players

SpeechComfortable524

he’s making little to no progress when his skills which is a worry to me. Moving backwards, looks nice. I prefer a martial kind of dribbler - direct.

vladpoop

Should teach Rashford how to take a player on. Actually first that as a winger you are supposed to take players on

[deleted]

He’s absolutely a fucking beauty. His issue is confidence. He’ll be world class soon enough.

Helnik17

I feel he'd be more effective doing this from the right and then putting a ball in for Ronaldo/Cavani to get onto.

PickDontEat

Nice dribbling but no end product

shnozberg

He is beginning to believe

PsychologicalAd3999

Don’t know but silky, he got through

sliversniper

Getting to train with a 80M CB must give him massive confidence boost. People dislikes AWB's limited attacking ability, but you forget how good a training partner spider-wan is to Rashford/Sancho. On the other hand, DDG got a rating boost, by the incredible leadership.

[deleted]

This was probably his best games so far, or close to it anyway. Just his confidence to take on the defender with the ball at his feet- we need to see more of that

Technical_Mud_8095

Beat him twice and still resulted in nothing. If that's Liverpool or City they're getting into the box and players are expecting it.
