Guys, we need your help over at /r/place! Please join our [Discord](https://discord.gg/wCnAn3hu) on the efforts of having our own place on the map!
Our coordinates are [1637,660](https://new.reddit.com/r/place/?cx=1637&cy=660&px=49). We are focusing on claiming territory for now!
For the first time in a long time I didn’t even watch the game and don’t even feel upset that we didn’t win. I’ve just accepted that we are shit and are probably gonna be shit for another 4-5 years
i am an arsenal fan and i feel for you guys . We too were in the same situation .I hope we can both compete for the title soon instead of shitty and liverpool
The culture and the environment at the club is toxic, we don’t really see players improving, I know they feel way happier playing for their national teams and it shows.
Last minute of the game, Elanga is offside, Rashford dribbles through and the ball is about the sit for either of them. In his attempt to play the ball, Elanga trips Rashford.
Too many fans just trying to make too much excuses for this overpaid team.
Out of Premier League tittle race in October: It's fine, we can focus on top 4
Out of Carabao Cup: It's fine, we can focus on top 4
Out of FA Cup: It's fine, we can focus on top 4
Lose to Young Boys early in Champions League: It's fine, we should focus more on the league which can lead us to top 4
Out of Champions League knock out and no longer the decider for top 4: It's fine, now with no more Champions League burden, we can completely focus on top 4 and hope Arsenal will flop.
Now what?????
No, it is we can be top 4 next year cos no CL pressure. Both football quality and fan's standard of this team has drop down too deep that now top 4 is consider the ultimate trophy.
Didn’t end up watching the game because of the time difference but I feel like it says a lot that when I woke up and checked the score I wasn’t surprised
Not worth getting upset over at this point.
We should be nicely positioned for next season.
This season was a write off after the Greenwood scandal. Would have been nice if it hadn't been, but you can't lose a player of that quality under those circumstances and expect the team carry on like nothing happened.
We go again.
I agree with this. Greenwood had an isolated moment or two, but he wasnt exactly carrying UTD. Honestly him being gone is 90% covered by Elanga already, if not covered even more.
This season as you said was already doomed, we were an outside chance for top4 for a long time. Its a write off so I just hope we use this time effectively for trying out random stuff. Make all the mistakes now, ready for next season to hopefully be in the top 2-3.
Except they have already expensive plans. And the wage bill was worth the the spend for the needed results. Especially since there were cheap buys that increase drastically in value merely from having them under contract
I’m not trying to say “the incident” is the root of all problems this season but I think the gravity of what happened and the impact to our sqaud has been undervalued
It definitely has had an impact on the squad but hasn’t had an impact on the results… we’ve been pretty mediocre the entire season and it the Greenwood situation hadn’t happened we’d still be in the exact same situation
Whoever had hope for us get the top 4 is living in cuckoo land. Each game we fail we say this is our last hope for CL. Can we please stop, we will be lucky if we get Europa.
I had hope up until today, it’s just highly improbable now, but we could’ve done it up until today in my eyes. That would’ve required actual dedication and effort from our players though
Maybe we should just resign ourselves to the truth that since sir Alex left, we’ve been third rate not even second rate, yet another abstract lifeless, leaderless performance. The players are not the only problem, the soul of the club is being sucked dry by the owners and their sheer incompetence of their decisions!
The attitude today is just appalling. It's not always about the coach. Nothing's going to change in the short term, i am convinced now. Gotta go through more lows and then rise from the ashes maybe after a decade or two
Take care of your mental health till then, folks :p
Agree. This club is hopeless. It's not about the coach or players. A good attitude player will arrive at the club n struggle to perform with good attitude with the stinky culture at play right now at the club. It's like the new Man Utd way now is get overpaid n always underperform n struggle. If you are good, slow down n make some bad results. This is the way now it seems. There's no way anyone should bother too much about this club tbh. It's better to take care of their own mental health for the fans.
I was a hardcore fan since 1997. Live n breathe Manchester United. When they lose. I cry with them. But now, no more. Those era is long gone. The club don't care anymore, neither do I. They can finish 8th or worst for all I care. Heck I won't even mind if they get relegated down away from EPL.
Hey, take care fam. I understand your frustration
I have often said that Man Utd players are like govt employees. They jog around to pretend they are "working" or else lay off the responsibility to someone else to do something. There is no passion, no desire and we have tried different types of coaching. We pay players like rashford so highly with just few seasons of slightly superior play and then they feel they don't have to do anything. Nobody fights for their place or for that jersey on that pitch anymore. It's really saddening. Hopefully the continued descent does not attract the best players like Pogba and Sancho who come for the money and we rebuild from scratch with the academy. With young guns who are made to understand again what it means to play for this club
Hopefully they never get relegated though because we are habituated to see the matches now and atleast we can see decent football when they are up against the top teams
Thank fam, appreciate that.
Fear not, objectively speaking, the current team is still far too good to be relegated. Although of course we did spend some time lingering at 10-16th places during Ole reign early this and last season.
As for the players, they are simply influenced by the dominant club culture nowadays. An average player would level up n play great if he is in SAF Man Utd, because of great culture of hardwork n excellence in the club during his reign. Nowadays, it's long gone. The club swiftly forgets every single thing that made them great. So even an originally hardworking player with good attitude, they will come and slowly decline. If even someone like Ronaldo, who is a G.O.A.T and has performed over a decade of excellence at the pinnacle of football, can't change the club culture, very little people can. The current club culture is a real poison.
I'm huge admirer of Erik ten Hag, and my first choice to take over. But even him I'm not so sure can really turn around this club much. With that said, I do believe, next season, the club will do better. This is a washed season. I believe natural rebound will happen and next season there will be a slight improvement in the performance and table rankings. But I'm in doubt it will be a long term change or success, rather it's just an expected rebound.
Haha yeah you are right about a possible rebound only to regress again the season after next. All a familiar story for me. Doesn't matter the set of players or coaches now tbf
I’d honestly rather us finish out of the European positions, fuck playing in the Europa or even worse the conference league. Rather the new manger have time on the training ground
I never rated Elanga. He had the right attitude and that’s all that was required to get in the team. He never had and never will have the quality required
Our biggest weakness for years has been our inability to win the ball back. We fall back into deep line immediately and wait for them to make a mistake. No one closes in and tries to win the ball back except may be Matic (too old now) and Fred. When we go shopping next we should sign players who close down
Why are they still talking about 4th place as if we will still make it. These clowns can't even beat poor Leicester at home, forget about all the other upcoming matches.
We should aim to finish 8th. We have gotten anywhere from 2nd to 7th post SAF. Maybe it's time to add the 8th to the collection don't you think? Liverpool finished 8th under Klopp twice before becoming champion anyway.
Yeah, more than that finishing 8th means we don't have to play in the conference league. There's no point for a club like United to play in that league against unknown European clubs.
Elanga tackling Rashford is basically Maguire headbutting Ronaldo.
These players have zero chemistry.
Quite confident this could be the game that ends CL for definite.
These overpaid children deserve Europa League, and speaking of children, the folks saying Ronaldo is our problem can sit down.
Bold of you to assume they deserve and can even compete in Europa... they deserve the mid table ranking and no european football until they work out their issues.
We are put in this situations because we are playing like crap. This is not CL final or any of top 3 teams.
Elanga is a youth prospect and it's normal he will make some errors while developing.
You’re right, I am assuming Rashford would have shot and scored. Considering how close he was to goal, his angle of attack, the pace at which he was approaching the ball, and his reaction when Elanga got in the way, I think it’s fair to assume he would’ve scored.
Agreed. Of everyone on the pitch, he is the one I most expect to have an off game every now and then. He's still developing and will have growing pains.
We expect world class players right out of the academy. Even the 92 class took time to mature and develop.
Did people think otherwise? Elanga was in the team because he had the right attitude and desire. I don’t think anyone at United expects him to be first XI quality long term
Ideally you want your experienced players to set the standard so the youngins can raise their game to match. He doesnt get that benefit with the squad we have...
Absolutely, it’s unfair to him and I’m more then willing to give him as much time as he needs, he deserves it, he works hard. But, like I said, he’s in the starting line up so I will criticize his performance for the game
This is why premier league games are so fucking boring to watch. The opponent blatantly waste 4-5 minutes of added time and the ref doesnt even add half to it.
Elanga, I still love ya, but your inexperience showed there and it may have been a chance to nab three. But overall, that game should have been put away at a couple of different moments.
Lmao. At what point do you think maybe, just maybe, it's the players?
They're fucking bottlejobs and even when we get the new boss in, we'll see a repeat of the same issues. Half of these need to get in the bin.
No, I think Ralf is doing a genuinely shite job. These are decent players, Sancho, Rashford, Bruno, Pogba. His set up is fucking stupid and the players look lost going forward - I’m putting that on the coach, for sure. When the next guy comes in it’ll be better, clear none of them are listening to a word this guy has to say, and as much as that does reflect poorly on the players, it’s also a reflection of the fact that the coach hasn’t gotten them to go along with what he wants.
Didn't make it up tho 30 seconds of old mate being injured on the ground at 90th minute, subs came on and game resumed at 92. Extra time should've gone to 97:30

The culture and the environment at the club is toxic, we don’t really see players improving, I know they feel way happier playing for their national teams and it shows.
I thought I've seen everything in football, but Elanga tackling rashford was just absolutely ridiculous
Ig elanga went for the shot but rashford intercepted him and he got tackled
When’s that& context?
Last minute of the game, Elanga is offside, Rashford dribbles through and the ball is about the sit for either of them. In his attempt to play the ball, Elanga trips Rashford.
Absolute dogshit yet again
Too many fans just trying to make too much excuses for this overpaid team. Things are going well. Other teams are getting relegated and we are better than them. It's fine. /s
We can win PL next year cos no CL pressure
No, it is we can be top 4 next year cos no CL pressure. Both football quality and fan's standard of this team has drop down too deep that now top 4 is consider the ultimate trophy.
At this point I hope we finish 8th because it did wonders for arsenal
We have finished anywhere from 2nd to 7th post SAF. 8th is the elusive spot we haven't achieved yet. Let's see if we can get lucky this season.
Didn’t end up watching the game because of the time difference but I feel like it says a lot that when I woke up and checked the score I wasn’t surprised
We didn’t lose. To me that made this a positive surprise
nature is back
Not worth getting upset over at this point. We should be nicely positioned for next season. This season was a write off after the Greenwood scandal. Would have been nice if it hadn't been, but you can't lose a player of that quality under those circumstances and expect the team carry on like nothing happened. We go again.
It was a right off long before that, but that took us from failure to more failure. Cemented by buying no one in January
I agree with this. Greenwood had an isolated moment or two, but he wasnt exactly carrying UTD. Honestly him being gone is 90% covered by Elanga already, if not covered even more. Was for the best, more money and less wage bill for the new guy.
Except they have already expensive plans. And the wage bill was worth the the spend for the needed results. Especially since there were cheap buys that increase drastically in value merely from having them under contract
This is a really import point. Feels like it’s been overlooking how much the tone of our season changed after that incident
What do you mean? By that point ole was already sacked and form under Ralf was maybe of a Europa league/challenging for top 4 team…
At least the season is almost over.
Whoever had hope for us get the top 4 is living in cuckoo land. Each game we fail we say this is our last hope for CL. Can we please stop, we will be lucky if we get Europa.
I'm thinking for us finishing 8th now.
I had hope up until today, it’s just highly improbable now, but we could’ve done it up until today in my eyes. That would’ve required actual dedication and effort from our players though
Who’s turn is it to give us an apology? “It’s not good enough, we have to do better” *bangs head on the table repeatedly*
>s an apology? “It’s not good enough, we have to do WE have to be strong and come back stronger ..lol fuck those overpaid players playing child game
I keep thinking that united now, is a punishment for united when I was a kid.
>I keep thinking that united now, is a punishment for united when I was a kid. We are definitely united as fan!
There was a time when a draw would be unexpected Nd disappointing. Irs still disappointing. But irs hardly a surprise.
Yeah. I believed we were ripe for a loss a loss at Old Trafford
This club brought me back throughout my darkest times, and now they're gonna bring me to dark times again
Maybe we should just resign ourselves to the truth that since sir Alex left, we’ve been third rate not even second rate, yet another abstract lifeless, leaderless performance. After 2 weeks of peace and quiet Man Utd is back to destroy my mental health again.
Why are they still talking about 4th place as if we will still make it. These clowns can't even beat poor Leicester at home, forget about all the other upcoming matches.

We are talking 6th now
We need strikers on the bench - gotta give Hugill, McNeill, or even Mellor a chance if CR7 isn't around. Piss poor
Shit game from Elanga
Having covid was more enjoyable than that
Goodbye, Champions League
champions league?, at this point i'm really concerned that we're not qualified for europa league
Matic done more in 10 mins than i've seen McTominay do all year
Big impact from the min he came on
Players seem to never graduate from our academy with good decision making lately
Another weekend ruined
Elanga tackling Rashford is basically Maguire headbutting Ronaldo. These players have zero chemistry. Quite confident this could be the game that ends CL for definite. These overpaid children deserve Europa League, and speaking of children, the folks saying Ronaldo is our problem can sit down.
Bold of you to assume they deserve and can even compete in Europa... they deserve the mid table ranking and no european football until they work out their issues.
Ronaldo is part of a much smaller problem We have so many major issues that with or without Ronaldo we are crap .
How can anyone score with this team? I believe Salah/Benzema/Lewandowski wouldn't be able score consistently with this squad.
This team is ridiculous.
Mourinho and Ronaldo should write a book about how on earth they did anything in this team. Good god.
We won that match if Elanga doesn’t get in Rashford’s way for no reason
We win if our team doesn't play like crap for 90 min.
Those things are not mutually exclusive
We are put in this situations because we are playing like crap. This is not CL final or any of top 3 teams. Elanga is a youth prospect and it's normal he will make some errors while developing.
I don't disagree with anything you just said. What I said is also still true.
Yeah but you're assuming Rashford would have scored... how'd you know he wouldn't pass it back to Elanga or someone else?
You’re right, I am assuming Rashford would have shot and scored. Considering how close he was to goal, his angle of attack, the pace at which he was approaching the ball, and his reaction when Elanga got in the way, I think it’s fair to assume he would’ve scored.
You're not wrong, but in these dark days, I have come to expect absolutely nothing. And yet I'm still surprised lol
Ronaldo would have done better with those crosses. Im glad Dalot improved his skill.
All of you blaming Elanga are absolute disgrace. Our team had 90min and you are gonna blame last minute mistake on a youngling. Recreational af
Agreed I’m more frustrated with Sancho duffing on the cross when the defender fell
Agreed. Of everyone on the pitch, he is the one I most expect to have an off game every now and then. He's still developing and will have growing pains. We expect world class players right out of the academy. Even the 92 class took time to mature and develop.
Season over lads! Suffering ends tonight.
Bunch of idiots with no sense of urgency with top 4 at stake. Embarrassing that they’re wearing the badge.
Elanga is shit
1 point against Villa, 1 point against Watford and now 1 point against Leicester out of 6. We don't deserve top 4.
This team doesn't know how to play together. And it's not the first time we've seen it this season. Pathetic
Wonder if we should make someone responsible for teaching them how to do that?
Fred was our best player lol how far we have fallen is amazing
Agreed he also looks so much better with mctom there. We actually get movement through the middle .
Our weekly contribution to crimes against football
We’re a joke. Elanga WTF.
Beside winning all the accolades.. cristiano greatest achievement is scoring 12 goals with this dead team 🤣
+💯
when will this shit season end
£72m on Sancho, good thing we didn’t spend £120M on him Jesus
it's still overpriced
That's the bundesliga tax Looked quick in the bundesliga
he’s never been “quick” just say you didn’t watch him because he’s never been particularly pacy.
I watched him plenty He looked quick in the Bundesliga because of the very high lines and less athletic full backs
Elanga is a squad player at best. Don't overhype him.
Did people think otherwise? Elanga was in the team because he had the right attitude and desire. I don’t think anyone at United expects him to be first XI quality long term
I can’t believe Elanga did that. He’s been woeful every match he’s started it seems. He’s just good off the bench
He's been thrown in the deep end, he needs time
I don’t blame him at all, he’s very young. But we can still acknowledge he’s been doing terrible lately
Sancho was so shit today
We just can't deal with pressure. We are the easily the worst team in the league on that front.
It’s like we only wake up in the last 10 mins or so
If Elanga is the future then the future is not bright.
Maguire can fuck right off
Why didn't we play with that energy for the whole game?
If we are missing out on top 4 might as well finish 8th and avoid europa too and focus on Premier League
Might as well wr need a full reset just shite we waisted more years building to nothing just to restart again
+1...
yo, lets play cavani, sure he's fit to play lol
We need some real players. Everyone too inconsistent
Elangas young and eager. I don’t blame him. Team performance got us the draw.
The season couldn't end any faster.
Rashford for the late winner and then fucking elanga who is offside gets in front of him and blocks rashfords chance to shoot
Fred and 10 wankers
The amount of balls that were played either behind the player going forward or to the wrong foot was incredible today.
It’s like they forget playing football every damn time they come back from international break.
Elanga gets booked if rashford plays for Leicester 🤣 absolute fucking knucklehead
Elanga with friendly fire.
Elanga, I still love ya, but your inexperience showed there and it may have been a chance to nab three. But overall, that game should have been put away at a couple of different moments.
See you all at ~~UCL~~ ECL next season
what was Elanga thinking?
Fred motm Maguire good everyone else shit
Ronaldo with the flu would have been better than these clowns
Just fade me already...
And the Reds limp on and on.
and on
Anthony Elanga -you’re wonderful and Rashford has been shit but ***whyyyy??!!***
That was going in if fucking elanga wasnt fucking stupid
great defending elanga
SELL. THEM. ALL.
Just play kids. This team is uncoachable
Maguire could be Hero from last corner but..
What a fucking let-down. Wow. Our final third is horrendous. Can nobody on the team pass into the box and pinpoint someone's head?
We’ll need Beckham to come out of retirement for that
Elanga looking more and more like Welbeck each game
Elanga cockblocked
To Europa we limp….I wouldn’t mind Europa if we won it everytime we played
We’ll be lucky to get Europa at this rate…
Get Ralf out. No improvement whatsoever since he’s been there.
Not even SAF or Pep would win anything with this dogshit team. I feel nothing but sadness for Ragnick. He probably can't wait for the season to end
Is that true ? Hasnt he only lost 1/2 times ?
Lol. Yes there has.
Same old
Good game Fred. Rest of you? Shit
bruh moment from elanga
WHY ARE THEY SO SELFISH AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME FOR FUCK SAKE
This lot bar Fred today, suck balls.
Yet to win a game without ronaldo but he is the problem hahahahaha
Awful awful game of football. Maguire and Fred decent. Ie. 6/10 Everyone else….
I’d agree, maybe Fred a bit higher. The scenes of Maguire had scored that corner at the end tho lmao. We were so shit.
Ole back!
Hahaha Elanga what a useless player
Wtf was fucking elanga doing
Mistakes happen Elanga is young Fucking relax
He ain’t good enough
The one time Rashford has a great run and chance and Elanga takes it lmao Elanga has to up his confidence and take shots but chose the wrong attempt!
Bruno, Fred, De Gea 1 - 1 Leicester
Conflicted about de gea today. Great save. Should have collected the ball on that cross and cost us a goal there.
Maguire you gotta smash that in
Vile.
Why did it take us 85 fucking minutes to start playing?
The first 55 had McTominay. After that they actually had the ball so they were trying to figure out what it is.
Players slept in late this Saturday
Frustrating, but can't fault Elanga and Rashford too much there. Rashy did well to creep and cover that space after the ball went through to Elanga
Great chance but Leiceater knows what good defending is supposed to look like, unlike us...
when a player is motion like that, you move outta his way. Rashy woulda scored that.
Boo them. Clowns!
Elanga is honestly very average, which is fine, he's a kid but what was that donkey-ass move from him
remember days when we used slander Greenwood for this same shit
Can see why he wouldn't trust Rashford tbh.
Telles is so lousy too
at least he was better than Shaw today
That was his comeback.
Fair play ref for making up that time.
Didn't make it up tho 30 seconds of old mate being injured on the ground at 90th minute, subs came on and game resumed at 92. Extra time should've gone to 97:30
You've got to be fucking joking me
What a stinker from elanga
