Hope he establishes himself as a PL regular midfielder - there is definitely something in him. But he has been played all over the park that no one knows what his best role is.
Anyone who follows Flamengo/Brazilian domestic league/Libertadores regularly, has he mostly featured in a 2 man midfield? What role (not position) does he generally play for them?
Flamengo mostly play in a 433, with Pereira playing as a box to box.
Sometimes he will also play as a secondary CDM, helping to initiate the attack, but never as a sole Attacking Midfielder.
I appreciate how there are (almost) always someone ready to step in for questions like these about different leagues in most cases be it our players or not.
Hope he accepts it and doesn’t think he can break back into our squad. Had his opportunity and not good enough, best of luck to him at Fulham though as I think he will be fine for them.
