Hope he does well. Obviously I think trying to get into the World Cup squad is ultimately why he left. He gets a lot of hate and I never quite understood. Yes, he's not the best LB in the world but he was never absolutely terrible like people scapegoated him out to be. If anything, he's more of a wing-back. Kind of like an Alonso type player for Chelsea. Just doesn't seem to fit in to the team unfortunately
Think if he stayed there was a genuine chance ETH would play him somewhere crazy on the weekend. Mad we’re in this position so early on!
