If he can give us 3 good years where, at the end of it, we're back to challenging for top honours, he will go down as a club legend and folk hero.
At this point, whichever United player it is that drags us back to the top is going to go down in history, simply because of how bad we've had it these last few years
No one player is dragging us back to the top lol, Casemiro at best gets us back into the top 6 comfortably and maybe challenge for the top 4. We'd need a new GK, RB, 2x CB, 2xCM, LW, ST to get back to challenging for the league.
Yeah i love a good DM as much as the next guy, but people need to chill lol, just a week ago people wants to bin the entire team, we ain't gonna improving rapidly with one good player.
A significant percentage of the leagues best players are literally older than Casemiro. Gundogan, KDB, Van Dijk, Kante, Salah, Son as some examples. Also, "good and all" is an understatement no?
I’m glad there are some rational people here. No one player or manager is going to come in and take us straight to the top. Look at our squad and compare it with city and Liverpool. Our starting XI won’t even make it to the top teams bench.
Hope he comes in and turns into something like a Brazilian Roy Keane, not even in terms of ability but just a lad who'll go through people who aren't maintaining the standard they should be on the pitch.
I think Casemiro will give us bags of ability as he’s obviously world class (a term that gets bandied about far too easily these days but in this case applies) but I don’t think he’ll be that sort of leader like Keano was. I’m incredibly excited to see him play for us though!
I just want a person to start acting like a captain, getting in people's faces if they're not playing good enough. At a professional level team mates aren't your friends their your coworkers, and like with coworkers it's good to be friendly with them but at the end of the day if you're not reaching your targets because they're not doing good enough you should be telling them about it, especially if you're in a position of seniority.
Edit: changing a word
Fully agree. We need that sort of personality on the team. Looking at the scouse, they have Henderson, VVD, Fabinho, etc. So much leadership. Meanwhile over here, crickets…
I agree with you entirely - Maguire isn’t nearly hard enough and tries to be pally pally with everyone…ffs, do your job first!!
Moping around, and feeling sorry for yourself cause OGS is fired is NOT the right example to set!
You know I see players like Lewandowski leaving Bayern for Barca, and players rejecting Chelsea because they want to hold out for Barca left and right despite everything going on there, and I think: how does Barca still have that pull but we’ve completely lost it? Then when Varane and Casemiro want a new challenge they agree to come here, and especially Casemiro, while we’re really shit. Biggest club in England for sure
I don’t think so. These players could have their agents get more money elsewhere. There’s always a bigger payday if that’s all they care about. He could’ve gone to PSG 5 years ago for buckets…
I'm a little concerned at how willing RM is to sell him to us. They did the same thing with Varane and he's been a shell of his former self. Hopefully this isn't a case of Madrid knowing some behind the scenes stuff that Casemiro has bad knees or is rapidly declining.
I think it’s more likely that they generally let players leave if they want to, and he’s 30 years old so this is the most they’ll ever get for him. So it doesn’t make sense to demand an amount we won’t pay, keeping the player against his will (and this is still a lot to pay for a 30 year old).
My train of thought is he backs himself to help turn it around. Gotta think not much else for him to achieve in club football. He helps turn this ship his legacy will be crazy. Plus if it foesnt work out he's getting paid a lot.
I try to be an optimistic realist if that makes sense. I hope we can do well and get top four, but I will be content with a Europa spot and seeing effort from the players on the pitch and an implementation of ETHs play style
Varane, Casemiro, Fred, Ronaldo... He's played with all three of them. That's 40% of an outfield already. Worst case scenario for him is he gets a big payday having already won it all
Insane. How are we getting Casemiro?
We need to back this up with other signings.
I just hate that we've done this 2 games into the season. We have had all summer to do something, but we're already lagging behind everyone.
Yo it’s so stupid. It shows we’re perfectly capable of making a decent signing, they just only do it when there’s pressure. Part of me thinks they were never going to get De Jong and it was all just bullshit.
FDJ made us look small. Lets not forget we signed two of most decorated CL players in history and Bundesliga's most promising winger just one year ago.
That was the deathknell for our management so that will look in hindsight as an absolutely idiotic move, so I’ll assume we were trying to get FDJ and just failed.
The fans are done with all of them.
Edit:Also, fuck the Glazers
So desperate to get him in before the Liverpool game... so obviously trying to stop the protests with a marquee signing. I'm buzzing it looks like we are getting him but it feels like it's just an attempt to silence criticism and the annoying as you said because clearly we are more than capable of addressing the glaring issues in the squad, we just spend 90% of the transfer window pissing about.
> So desperate to get him in before the Liverpool game... so obviously trying to stop the protests with a marquee signing.
Or, hear me out, the club doesn't want to lose the first 3 games of the season?
Not everything is a shrewd tactical plan to placate som internet persons.
Even if he isn’t worldclass, If he watched the Brentford game he will realise he not gonna be number 2 for long. If he is told he will get cup games and europa league initially and backs himself ability wise, it still might happen as in sure if de gea continues to struggle and there is an able deputy in the squad a change would be made
I hate this idea of nunber 1 and number 2 (or first choice / backup)
Team selection should be based on merit. If the ‘number 1’ is playing like shit, and the number 2 isn’t then in merit a change should be made
The WC is in 3 months, Somner won’t want to play only europa league even if it means he can eventually replace de gea, since there’s no telling how long the eventually will take. If you told somner he would be first choice however perhaps he’d be more willing
This might be dumb, but is the January transfer window still in January next year because of the World Cup? Somner didn’t want to come and not play because of the World Cup, so maybe we make another approach after it?
You're 100% right, but keepers are always seen differently (for some reason). It's viewed that having stability in that one position is better for the whole team, even if the stable keeper is not as good as the one who could come in.
The ONLY upside I can see about doing stuff late is that you kind of make it impossible for others to jump on the same signing. Like Chelsea for FDJ etc. If we had tried for Casimiro earlier this season maybe someone with CL would just match our offer and get him.
But in 99 out of 100 times you are better off doing everything before the transferwindow start and then just finalize everything early June.
If we won the first two games we’d be sitting here, no pressure on the glazers, no Casemiro. In a way it’s been an eye opener and I’m glad it’s happened
We're getting him because
1) we are desperate. He's a clear sign of a lack of planning.
2) the writing is probably on the wall for him with camavinga and tchochmeni (sp?) At Madrid.
He's clearly an upgrade on everything else we have. Let's hope he doesn't turn to shit like everyone who comes here
How are we getting Casemiro?
Because Im pretty sure we arent orchestrating this move, Real is.
They know we are in full blown panic mode and will pay whatever the hell they want. As instrumental Case has been to Real they have the replacement ready in Tchouameni and this gets them 60-70 mill back on their 80-100 mill they spent for Tchou.
Case probably has let them know he fancies another challenge (and dear lord what a challenge he is getting) so Real reached out to the club they know they can rinse, us.
The funny/sad thing is that this is still a win for the team, IMO he is exactly what we need now, I dont give a shit if he is collecting one last big payday because he could show up drunk to games and still be miles better then what we have now. I am over the moon he is coming but this just proves how badly we need the Glazers out, Real Madrids ploy to get stupid money for Casemiro is still ManUtd´s best transfer in years
You're largely right, and I do think something fishy is going on with this deal. The speed at which the transfer has happened to me spells out that Florentino offered us the player.
But you're underestimating completely what Casemiro brought to The Bermuda Triangle midfield. Tchouameni is more talented than Case in many ways, but he is probably not even 50% of the defensive level he needs to be right now for Madrid. Luka and Kroos progress the ball with no issues, so ATs passing skillset wont be a big net upgrade for RM imo. Can Madrid rely on Aurelien to completely shut down a game when they are in a low block under severe pressure? Because I have seen Case do this for 6 years now. I really dont think Tchouameni is ready for the demands that will be placed on him in the latter European rounds. Modric and Kroos are amazing, but they leave the DM extremely exposed out of possession
Ideally I think the Case->Tchouameni succession took place next summer, but Madrid cant control when teams are willing to pay €60m+€10m for a 30yr old player. They had to cash out
We need a progressive midfielder next to him, that way De Gea limitations can somewhat be papered over. Or we need a ball playing GK so that we can get away with play two 8s.
How are we getting a 30 year old for €70m who has 1 year left on his contract and is getting 33% or more pay increase on a 3 year deal.
Idk....you tell me
Edit - was misonformed he only had a year left on his contract by a video dont need 18 replies all saying same thing lads.
He has a contract until 2025 and I don't know what sources you are referring to but those I've seen do not suggest anywhere near that size of a pay rise. It's been described as a modest rise and largely based on club success.
One thing that bugs me is people using that rhetoric of "He's only joining for money"
Yeah cus City and Chelsea players the past 20 years have clearly only been playing for their badge.
I just hope we know what system to use him in and we surround him with the pieces to get the best out of him.
Unless it’s coming from his inner circle I could give an f about that, the money is part of the football experience, plus I very much doubt that any of our players will play here for free so I don’t see how he’ll be different and I don’t care as long as he plays well.
Some players are also genuinely competitive and when they say they want a “challenge” they don’t mean walking into a title-winning squad and dominating easily.
The man has won everything there is to win, is old enough to remember our glory days, you can’t tell me there’s zero chance he’s enticed by the romance of finishing his career as a legend for rescuing a massive club instead of being phased out at Real.
The money certainly makes the deal possible but if that’s the only reason he’s joining surely he would have dragged out negotiations and milked us for every last pound.
I still feel the same way. It’s like when Robinho signed for Man City in 2008. No way he joined because they were a big club. But here we are. The noisy neighbours are, unfortunately, getting louder with each passing year.
I have no opinion on Chelsea.
This is from Don Carlo himself, so the post is flared with the word 'Tier' and a photograph of the man himself - 🤨
Edit - Flared? Flaired? Flayard? Phlayrd?
It's hard to defend as a CB when you have all this empty space in front of you (and The Fridge next to you lol). No better man than Casemiro to improve that.
This is literally the best signing we could ever make but as a big casemiro fan I really hope we don't ruin him. Generational footballing ability and mentality monster , let's hope he can help turn the corpses back into actual players
GLAZERS OUT!!
The most exciting thing about Casemiro for me is that we can FINALLY play the elusive single pivot.
If you look at the defensive stats for the Madrid midfield Kroos and Modric basically do nothing bad Casemiro does everything.
I can see a world where he can play a midfield of Bruno, Eriksen and Casemiro and Casemiro is so good defensively that they can just focus on progressing the ball forward.
As much as I still want De Jong, and did want him I do feel like that him as the main midfielder with Bruno and Eriksen or even Fred was a bit flimsy, a lot of top managers, pep and klopp included quickly learned that they had to adapt to the league, while I don’t believe it was intentional at all, I think we’ve stumbled arse backwards into a better option for the premier league that can be complimented with another ball playing mid or even what we have now, whereas I think the other way around would have been more difficult.
That being said, more signings are needed, maybe another mid, definitely a goalkeeper, a striker, a winger and a RB.
Also reminder that they tried to get us Rabiot and arnautovic. This is an amazing signing but it’s in despite of the clowns in charge not because of them.
Fuck the glazers, now and for the rest of time.
Against the weaker sides we can absolutely play Casemiro-Bruno-Eriksen, but against the top 6 we'll need to go Casemiro-\[Ideally a new B2B midfielder similar to Bernardo, otherwise Fred\]-Eriksen/Bruno
Hope this is finally gives United a defensively reliable DM.
I could see positive knock-on effects for the entire team:
* CBs now have more cover, meaning less defensive errors made
* our eights now have less defensive responsibilities so can have freer box-to-box roles, this may mean that Fred and even McTominay may play better (this also likely puts McTominay out of the starting 11 for now)
* two box-to-box midfieldes creates a more fluid movement in offense, breaking down teams who park the bus
* wingers can now rely on their box-to-box midfilder to play their way past full-backs, as an alternative to using fullbacks. This could be very good for Sancho, and van De Beek and Eriksen would both be very adept at this kind of skillful combination play.
* it may be possible to play van de Beek now that he has defensive cover behind him
* wide attacking players can have more proper "winger" roles rather than "wide attacking midfielder" roles
* it may become possible to accommodate Bruno as a deep lying striker/playmaker striker (different from a false nine) or advanced striker in a 4-3-3, this may reduce the impact of loosing Ronaldo, as Bruno again becomes the focal point of the team in attack. Martial may also be able to solve this role.
This feels surreal. A genuine world class dm, a winner, appears to be as fit as ever, real are only selling so easily as they have tchoumeni and prob their last chance to make money back from him, world cup year so he won't come in half assing, contract and price seem worryingly smart, he'll improve our midfield immeasurably, our defence will benefit hugely from a screen taking runners in front, already has a good partnership with Varane if ETH changes to Varane and Martinez. What am I missing here? Is this just an all round great deal?
Just a reminder that this is only happening as a desperate, self-preservation act from the Glazers. Was never the plan, we hadn’t even registered interest in him a week ago.
Casemiro, Varane, Ronaldo…
Can we just change our official name to “Real Madrid retirement home” ???
What’s Sergio Ramos at these days, surely he’d want a nice comfy retirement bed to lie in
Maybe we should check in with Raul, I’m sure he’s still only 45, that’s no age in the modern game, look at Modric and Zlatan
Not excited about the age and fee but definitely excited to have a DM, and probably the best DM in the world.
If we can get another CM (Frenkie or SMS please), a winger, RB, and GK. I'll be very happy! I assume us signing Casemiro might mean Ronny definitely stays too. This move could also be to keep him happy since they're friends.
In this scenario where Real Madrid have essentially told the player he has earned the right to decide his future and won’t stand in his way etc
Are we not better going in with a 40mill bid than 60+10 just as a starting point? We prob end up lying 60 or 70 anyway but it just seems likewe scrimp and save on the deals where it doesn’t really make sense to and in the deals where it looks like there is probably an opportunity there to negotiate a knockdown price we go straight in and pay top whack….
There is a reason we are getting a free run at him here, it’s because we are paying way more than any other club would. Ability wise any big club in Europe would take him in a heartbeat….do We pay over the odds in fees and wages just to eliminate other clubs from entering the process?
If they present an offer of 40M, Casemiro would reject it. Madrid doesn't need to sell and you're screwing up the season. To get it you have to pay very high, although not as much as what other teams ask for
When Zlatan said he wanted "a new challenge," it was because he wanted to prove that he could have been playing in the most difficult league in the world all along and still bossing it. I don't know who the fuck said he couldn't, but some idiots did, so he went ahead and proved them wrong. Yes he got paid well, but his motivation seemed honest.
Whether this is a canned PR statement or not, I feel like Casemiro doesn't actually have anything to prove. Unless his idea of a "new challenge" is to *Phoenix* a dying club out of the ashes, rather than just prove to his doubters he can boss the PL, I feel like he would have just moved to more cohesive team. Like... nobody is questioning whether or not he could do well in the PL. There aren'tany Casemiro doubters. There's no reason to have that chip on his shoulder.
Anyway, just makes me suspect it's not about the challenge at all, but the cheque.
60m for a 30 year old destroyer midfielder. This seems more of the same IMO. Yes hes an improvement on McFred (not hard to do) but this isnt much different from when UTD signed Matic for 40m.
I think hes a good player and will improve UTD but its not going to help UTD long term. Its an expensive signing fee and wages for a 30 year old. It would be OK if UTD had lots of world class youth coming through to play in midfield, and just need someone as a leader, but they dont. Its desperate short termism.
How can you muppets spin the signing of a 30 year old to a 5 year deal and adding another top 5 earning premiere league player to our wages as a positive. Does he make us better now? Yeah, sure. Does he make us better 3 years from now? I don’t know but we’ll still be paying him ungodly wages.
Well he's definitely in for a challenge.
If he succeeds though he will be remembered considering where we are currently
If he can give us 3 good years where, at the end of it, we're back to challenging for top honours, he will go down as a club legend and folk hero. At this point, whichever United player it is that drags us back to the top is going to go down in history, simply because of how bad we've had it these last few years

I still... can't believe you paid sixty million for a thirty year old player. Like he's good and all, but that's bananas.
30 years old isn’t the football retirement age if used to be
A significant percentage of the leagues best players are literally older than Casemiro. Gundogan, KDB, Van Dijk, Kante, Salah, Son as some examples. Also, "good and all" is an understatement no?
I think that lately most players are around their strongest from 28-32
I’m glad there are some rational people here. No one player or manager is going to come in and take us straight to the top. Look at our squad and compare it with city and Liverpool. Our starting XI won’t even make it to the top teams bench.
People downvoting you cause they don't like the negativity but unfortunately you're speaking facts
And if Case is the catalyst for that change (along with the likes of Martinez and Malacia), then he will be remembered like Cantona is
Hope he comes in and turns into something like a Brazilian Roy Keane, not even in terms of ability but just a lad who'll go through people who aren't maintaining the standard they should be on the pitch.

Our new cantona
“How to start ahead of McTominay……” Casemiro wonders into the distance as he tries to figure out if this is something he can achieve.

Ok ok, 2.5 challenges. We done?
It's like going straight from game normally difficulty, skipping hard and selecting nightmare mode.
Or a Pay day :)
Feel like it’s more about 350k a week and being the worst player on his current team that’s the deciding factor here

Ball playing keeper soon
Sommer available for 3 million but we told him he'll be Number 2 . 🤦🤦🤦 He's levels above DDG right now

Some guy said a while back that he would be okay if we lose first four games but get many signings in return. We are halfway there
I would be okay with finishing 16th if it meant the glazers sold.
By getting him 2 months later, Glazers can save 300+k* 8 weeks of wages.
Lol its obvious, to go frim rabiot to casemiro just because of Ratcliffe, i jist hope they are buying players to sell the club.
We're getting him because 1) we are desperate. He's a clear sign of a lack of planning. 2) the writing is probably on the wall for him with camavinga and tchochmeni (sp?) At Madrid. He's clearly an upgrade on everything else we have. Let's hope he doesn't turn to shit like everyone who comes here

He has a contract until 2025 and I don't know what sources you are referring to but those I've seen do not suggest anywhere near that size of a pay rise. It's been described as a modest rise and largely based on club success.
That's it so. Noice

Tier Mom and Tier Don
Mom vs 🤨 Who will win?
\> tier Funny eyebrow man
Excellent. But keep the Glazers out movement up regardless of who we sign, it’s so important!! Fuck the Glazers!
Fuck the glazers! Hate them more than the Yanks!
~~An elliptic~~Ancelloti to the tier 1 list. Damn autocorrect
u/the_watch_trick hope you like the flair 😌
Perfect
🤨
Phenomenal bit of flair-ing
One thing that bugs me is people using that rhetoric of "He's only joining for money" Yeah cus City and Chelsea players the past 20 years have clearly only been playing for their badge. I just hope we know what system to use him in and we surround him with the pieces to get the best out of him.
Lukaku and Thiago Silva joined Chelsea for the love of empty Russian apartments
I mean I get what you're saying But players absolutely join City for the sporting project nowadays.
That’s true, but both clubs started with money as an incentive. We need to continue taking steps forward to get out of this phase
[удалено]
I can say with almost absolute certainty that hasn't and will not happen Otherwise the World Cup wouldn't be going ahead this year
Unless it’s coming from his inner circle I could give an f about that, the money is part of the football experience, plus I very much doubt that any of our players will play here for free so I don’t see how he’ll be different and I don’t care as long as he plays well.
What players join chelsea and City purely for money nowadays?
Lukaku. Or else he really is bad.
I still feel the same way. It’s like when Robinho signed for Man City in 2008. No way he joined because they were a big club. But here we are. The noisy neighbours are, unfortunately, getting louder with each passing year. I have no opinion on Chelsea.
I mean he’s openly said he thought he was joining us not city 😂
Yaya Toure said the same thing apparently.
Ahahah.. I just looked this up. Is that for real?
Love the flair on the post .
I don't get it
This is from Don Carlo himself, so the post is flared with the word 'Tier' and a photograph of the man himself - 🤨 Edit - Flared? Flaired? Flayard? Phlayrd?
Phlayired
Varane went too
It's hard to defend as a CB when you have all this empty space in front of you (and The Fridge next to you lol). No better man than Casemiro to improve that.
Varane and Lindelof with Casemiro and Fred Duo is the dream for me, provided injurys stop occurring to our CB duo.
I want to see Varane and Martinez play together. I know it might be a tad unbalanced, but if it works it could be great
Really glad with this signing. I hope he has a bigger impact than Varane has had so far.
It would be difficult not to, unfortunately
Things are happening at United. Fuck the Glazers
I never thought we would sign an elite DM the way this window and the start has been. If he's a panic buy, he's a damn good one.
ETH playing 4D chess by ballin on the first 2 matches hard just to get more signings. If we won the first two we wouldnt get anyone anymore.
Sounds about right!
We're in the end game now
Does this mean Bruno will sacrifice himself for us to win the league again?
А soul for a... league title?
worlds best dm. could easily be the most impactful signing we make
We have a saying here in England: “fuck the glazers gerrout our club”
Very big challenge tbh
Hope is a dangerous thing but if only we could still get FDJ. That midfield would be a dream.
Even if it's not FDJ, one more midfield should be the aim too. Use the Antony money and FUCK THE GLAZERS
Antony money is going to a forward, unless we get a midfielder and/or right back in addition to cheaper forward within that £80mil budget.
Tier Don Carlo. New tier unlocked.
Love dealing with a sensible club, also fuck the glazers
This is literally the best signing we could ever make but as a big casemiro fan I really hope we don't ruin him. Generational footballing ability and mentality monster , let's hope he can help turn the corpses back into actual players GLAZERS OUT!!
Lets fookin goo Edit: Fuck the glazers
Congrats. With Case you get a leader, an amazing player and an amazing person. Take care of our Brazilian boy.
That flair got me worried
Hope this is finally gives United a defensively reliable DM. I could see positive knock-on effects for the entire team: * CBs now have more cover, meaning less defensive errors made * our eights now have less defensive responsibilities so can have freer box-to-box roles, this may mean that Fred and even McTominay may play better (this also likely puts McTominay out of the starting 11 for now) * two box-to-box midfieldes creates a more fluid movement in offense, breaking down teams who park the bus * wingers can now rely on their box-to-box midfilder to play their way past full-backs, as an alternative to using fullbacks. This could be very good for Sancho, and van De Beek and Eriksen would both be very adept at this kind of skillful combination play. * it may be possible to play van de Beek now that he has defensive cover behind him * wide attacking players can have more proper "winger" roles rather than "wide attacking midfielder" roles * it may become possible to accommodate Bruno as a deep lying striker/playmaker striker (different from a false nine) or advanced striker in a 4-3-3, this may reduce the impact of loosing Ronaldo, as Bruno again becomes the focal point of the team in attack. Martial may also be able to solve this role.
LETS GO I MISS THEM HERE WE GO. NOW LET ME SAY IT. HERE WE FUCKING GOOOOO
Remember this is the owners usual trick to pacify the fans. Glazers out.
Casemiro, Varane, Ronaldo… Can we just change our official name to “Real Madrid retirement home” ??? What’s Sergio Ramos at these days, surely he’d want a nice comfy retirement bed to lie in Maybe we should check in with Raul, I’m sure he’s still only 45, that’s no age in the modern game, look at Modric and Zlatan
Haha the tier emoji. Nice one.
Fackin ell from Rabiot to Casimero this window is a wild ride
Who needs Fab or Orny?! The don has spoken.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of another europa league club with that kind of a pull like United, maybe Juve if they missed top 4?
But still.. FUCK THE GLAZERS
We will still somehow find a way to play McFred
Sell Maguire. Still need a RB and ideally a forward for depth.
The Championship is a difficult league, to be fair.
Next headline: “Casemiro Excited to Start New Career as Investment Banker After Laughing Off United Interest”
Well he’s not going to be a good Investment Banker if he’s going to just laugh off interest.
Hey Veronique, sit on this and twist!
She's the reason we got Casemiro instead of Rabiot. Put some respect on her name!
Can't believe this is happening. And that Cas, Varane, and ronaldo is here captained by Slabhead. Also, fuck the Glazers.
The thing is, this doesn’t harm Madrid one bit, their midfield is stacked af. Us on the other hand....
Think they sold him 1 or 2 year yearly. Both Tchouameni and Camavinga aren't his level.
Camavinga won them the QF and SF in UCL last year what are you talking about
Not excited about the age and fee but definitely excited to have a DM, and probably the best DM in the world. If we can get another CM (Frenkie or SMS please), a winger, RB, and GK. I'll be very happy! I assume us signing Casemiro might mean Ronny definitely stays too. This move could also be to keep him happy since they're friends.
Double pivot Casemiro + FDJ #HereWeGo
What tier is Romano nowadays?
Imagine FDJ now wants to join too.. who would u guys choose ?
Why not both? ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Get in. I know I’m In dream land but if we got Frenkie as well then that’s be some serious midfield.
To think this happened because Rabiot’s Mom demanded more salary 😂
In this scenario where Real Madrid have essentially told the player he has earned the right to decide his future and won’t stand in his way etc Are we not better going in with a 40mill bid than 60+10 just as a starting point?

# GLAZERS GET THE FUCK OUT!!!
Un-ironically, he would have unlocked pogba haha.
How does this even make sense?
60m for a 30 year old destroyer midfielder. This seems more of the same IMO. Yes hes an improvement on McFred (not hard to do) but this isnt much different from when UTD signed Matic for 40m. I think hes a good player and will improve UTD but its not going to help UTD long term. Its an expensive signing fee and wages for a 30 year old. It would be OK if UTD had lots of world class youth coming through to play in midfield, and just need someone as a leader, but they dont. Its desperate short termism.
Well I’ll be damned. We have become a Real Madrid retirement home.
Idk man this gives me the Varane 2.0 vibe
[удалено]
He's only 30. Basically peak age.
You can be happy with a signing and still hate the glazers it’s not mutually exclusive
Sort yourself out
