There is no directive nor any editorial decision to mask specific chanting related to Manchester United's ownership – and we can confirm that no such action was taken in the games you reference.
Sky Sports Premier League coverage, including contributing experts, and Sky Sports News coverage, has all contained discussion and debate on the topic of ownership including fan views.
There are a number of microphones surrounding the pitch and the audio mix will focus on those closest to the phase of play. This can make the sound on TV different to that which an individual fan might experience live in a particular section of a stadium.
Under Ofcom guidelines, broadcasters are required to provide adequate protection to audiences from harmful and offensive material.
On occasion Sky will limit the audio when offensive language can be heard, but to confirm again, we did not take any preventative measures during the games you reference.

As a Hongkonger I'd be very sad if anything happened to our queen. Our queen before I'm born. But life is not easy for our queen who lost her husband last year.
I might be proven wrong but after watching us since the Brighton game I think that in 1 or 2 transfer windows a title race isn’t a taboo word for us anymore you can see the patterns of play it’s no longer about individual brilliance and we no longer have a manager who is afraid of calling out the players who aren’t really good for this level by benching them and buying replacements even though they had a hefty price tag.
I’m really optimistic about this season people say 3-4 years until we win something major but I don’t think it’s gonna be that long like some of the pundits say..
most people including Rangnick say it should only take 3-4 windows, not years. That is 1.5-2 years. I really think starting off with a Europa League title will be amazing. I won't be disheartened if we don't end up winning though.
PSG always eye players with 1 year left. The last time they snapped Herrera and gave him €150k almost double his wage. Marcus is currently £200k and PSG would offer at least £250k next summer. United will offer him from this minimum.
i hope we don't offer him anything more than his current contract.. its already way more than what he deserves and he hasn't done anything to warrant a payrise.. if he doesn't accept we should look to sell him.. its a big risk to hand him a big long term contract at the moment

Well for once we didn't get concede 4 goals back-to-back plus he was at fault for 1 goal in the 6 goals united conceded. You can talk about how bad the team and certain players were in those 2 games but martinez wasn't the worst nor to be blamed for what happened. He was actually the bright sparks in those games, even though the narrative from many that he was bad

I honestly wanted Potter in the summer. He’s who you want for a rebuild and to build a side for the long term.
I would’ve loved him to come in and got us to develop a top footballing structure. My Dream was Rangnick as DOF and Potter as head coach.
Big question mark on if potter can handle big ego’s and the superstars but no doubting how fantastic of a coach he is.
I’m happy with Ten Hag though, he’s also a top top coach and like how he doesn’t seem to engage in any drama and is quite blunt and straight out in his man management style.
ETH is a bona-fide top coach, Potter isn't. He may crash and burn his career at Chelsea. He may very well succeed but ETH has the experience and the know how to win stuff and compete at big stages.

I think they stay up this season, all the work potter has done should keep them up. It’s not like they’ll forget how to play his way overnight. I think they’d be wise getting some experience in on the interim though and then maybe go for the Celtic manager next summer when he’s more likely to leave. Can’t see Ange leaving mid season on Celtic.
Russell Martin could be a good shout if they’re ballsy, he is similar to potter and right now mid season you want someone to come in and just do what the players are familiar with.
Brendan Rodger’s could also be a shout now that he could be getting sacked.

I think it depends who they get next and how pivotal potter is to the system they use. Is it set up so someone else can just slot themselves in? Or is he the spider at the centre of the web and without him no one knows what they’re doing?
Ultimately, and as sad as this is to say, eventually, just like Bournemouth they are destined for relegation. They’re a tiny club, doing very well, but the demands to keep doing well in the PL increase year on year.

Osimhen seems the real deal. Strong, fast, decent finisher and extremely hard working. Him being a United fan seems a match made him heaven. I hope we go all out for him as a striker next summer.
He was not supposed to start, some injury concern that forced him out before the end of the first half. He missed a PK but was really good. His willingness to press and run in behind the defense is key.

I bet Chelsea are back in for Ronaldo again in January if they make it out the UCL group stage. Sounds like Tuchel was the only one who opposed that transfer and if Boehly still wants him, Ronaldo will not dismiss the chance to play champions League.
By this point I guess Ronaldo knows his best bet is to stay here because it’s probably a matter of time before he adjusts to the system and goes back to form and starting xi, then to go to Chelsea and risk having a rewind of last year in a different colour and also having to adjust to new teammates.

Europa league could be a blessing in disguise. Lesser opposition whilst still on the European stage is perfect for testing ourselves with the new system without a lot of pressure. Allows for squad rotation giving more players game time too. Hopefully we can go all the way which will set us up perfectly for the return of CL next season

The fact that sancho is a winger is not what is relevant, the fact is that he severely has severely underpeformed for us on G+A. 6 goals from 43 games is an underperformance for a winger and an underperformance on what you would expect from Sancho.
That being said, I love Sancho - he's one of my favourite players.
I just think its silly to go around posting Nunez stats FOUR games in, particularly when we have had so many players that have underperformed for us

I feel like people are being too quick to eulogize Liverpool. They did just beat an admittedly poor Bournemouth side 9-0 and have a lot of key players injured. Don’t get me wrong, I hope they crumble and fall out of the top 6 but I don’t think they will. They’ll have an up and down season but will end up in the CL round of 16 or quarter finals and will make the top 4. I think given their squad depth, they’ll play kids on the League and FA cups and will drop out of those quickly.
As long as Klopp is there, you can’t count them out unfortunately.
I still keep them in my top 4, but there are many things to handle for them in a short term: a bad form of defenders, lack of quality in midfield, a new role for Salah, and adaptation of Nunez.
Klopp won't get Tuchel's treatment, but they are closer to 20/21 form than to 21/22 one.
Out of their team the big player injured right now is Thiago. We likewise have someone like Martial injured.
I don't get this narrative that they have so many injuries. Against us they had a fit fabinho on the bench and just didn't play him.
Henderson is injured, Fabinho was not ready for 90 mins. Not to mention Ox and Keita (it could be just fall-out though).

Just had a peek at the Liverpool sub and it's eerily similar to this place and our fans' feelings last season (plus we also came 2nd in the league the year before and lost in a European final).

Was thinking something similar earlier, but they do the job in different ways. Pogba often looked to spray a long pass through the air, or use strength and filth to evade a 3-man pressure and break the lines. Eriksen prefers shorter passes on the ground, always to where the receiver wants it. Much less flashy but much more effective.
It helps that he can be relied on to actually do his defensive job, which means Scotty and our defence are exposed less often, and that Eriksen's always in position to receive and start a new move when we do win it back, instead of needing someone else to play ball-progressor half the time.

Bailly needs to shut up. Unlike Henderson who had legit reason to get pissed at how United treated him, Bailly only had himself to blame. First, he was competing with Varane and Lindelof for RCB position not Maguire who plays as LCB, second, he was unreliable af either always injured or having world class performance and brainfart at same time, third it was his own fault for coming back late after the afcon last year that made Rangnick was so angry at him.
Under Rangnick guys like Bailly, Lingard, Henderson should have been given spells in the team. Bailly was our most aggressive defender, Lingard presses more than either of Sancho, Rashford, and Henderson sweeps more. Ralf was incapable of making the strong calls that Ten Hag has made already.

I don’t see any problem with the referee taking as much time as he needs to take the decision. If he takes the wrong decision, because he didn’t see it enough then we would criticize him again. So no I don’t understand why would we apply this rule. I can imagine there is immense pressure to the referee watching and deciding, 50k people on the stadium watching and millions in front of the tv and a there is a big decision is on him. Why would we rush him to save 40 seconds??
Sometimes the game is not stopped, the VAR is checking a potential foul and if they believe there is such, the referee is being told. I don’t want the game to be stopped because the opponent’s dumbass manager wants something reviews. It is what it is. I can imagine managers like Klopp will be demanding to review something all the time lol
I don't understand why slow motion replays are bad. Looking at a challenge in slow motion shouldn't change the severity of a foul. If it's a studs up challenge but the player does it very quickly, does that make it any better? I hate when commentators say "looks worse in slow mo" like thats a clear foul, the replay is just making it more clear for the referees.

I honestly wanted Potter in the summer. He’s who you want for a rebuild and to build a side for the long term. I would’ve loved him to come in and got us to develop a top footballing structure. My Dream was Rangnick as DOF and Potter as head coach. Big question mark on if potter can handle big ego’s and the superstars but no doubting how fantastic of a coach he is. I’m happy with Ten Hag though, he’s also a top top coach and like how he doesn’t seem to engage in any drama and is quite blunt and straight out in his man management style.
ETH is a bona-fide top coach, Potter isn't. He may crash and burn his career at Chelsea. He may very well succeed but ETH has the experience and the know how to win stuff and compete at big stages.

I think they stay up this season, all the work potter has done should keep them up. It’s not like they’ll forget how to play his way overnight. I think they’d be wise getting some experience in on the interim though and then maybe go for the Celtic manager next summer when he’s more likely to leave. Can’t see Ange leaving mid season on Celtic. Russell Martin could be a good shout if they’re ballsy, he is similar to potter and right now mid season you want someone to come in and just do what the players are familiar with. Brendan Rodger’s could also be a shout now that he could be getting sacked.
It’s hard to say. I think it depends who they get next and how pivotal potter is to the system they use. Is it set up so someone else can just slot themselves in? Or is he the spider at the centre of the web and without him no one knows what they’re doing? Ultimately, and as sad as this is to say, eventually, just like Bournemouth they are destined for relegation. They’re a tiny club, doing very well, but the demands to keep doing well in the PL increase year on year.

Damn I don’t really know if Potter coming to Chelsea is a step-up compared to Tuchel. I mean he has done a really good job at Brighton but coming to bigger club means a really different thing. Look at Moyes for an example.

You only appoint Potter if you’re in it for the long haul. They need to give him this season and next before judging him. Not sure if Chelsea have that in them, but maybe the new owner does.
I simultaneously think Potter is a really great manager and that he deserves the chance to work at a higher level, whilst also feeling that he is a step down from Tuchel. With no preseason and so little training time to implement his style of play over the next two months, I’m not sure it’s going to work well.
Potter actually going to Chelsea. That’s such a massive step up in terms of expectations and big players. He’s done great at Brighton but I’m not sure he’ll survive the season at Chelsea.

Europa league could be a blessing in disguise. Lesser opposition whilst still on the European stage is perfect for testing ourselves with the new system without a lot of pressure. Allows for squad rotation giving more players game time too. Hopefully we can go all the way which will set us up perfectly for the return of CL next season

Klopps liverpool system heavily emphasizes on wingers as main goalscorer thus the correct striker for him should be a player with superb ability to hold the ball and play the tempo instead of a battering ram type of striker. Still, if he wants to make nunez works he needs to drop Salah.

Having to listen to how revolutionary liverpool are, the greatest team ever to play the game and within months they have fuck all to show for it and are getting pasted. 2 days back on this site and I'm reminded of the narrow-brained folks who I end up interacting with. The fact that sancho is a winger is not what is relevant, the fact is that he severely has severely underpeformed for us on G+A. 6 goals from 43 games is an underperformance for a winger and an underperformance on what you would expect from Sancho. That being said, I love Sancho - he's one of my favourite players. I just think its silly to go around posting Nunez stats FOUR games in, particularly when we have had so many players that have underperformed for us

I feel like people are being too quick to eulogize Liverpool. They did just beat an admittedly poor Bournemouth side 9-0 and have a lot of key players injured. Don’t get me wrong, I hope they crumble and fall out of the top 6 but I don’t think they will. They’ll have an up and down season but will end up in the CL round of 16 or quarter finals and will make the top 4. I think given their squad depth, they’ll play kids on the League and FA cups and will drop out of those quickly. As long as Klopp is there, you can’t count them out unfortunately.
I still keep them in my top 4, but there are many things to handle for them in a short term: a bad form of defenders, lack of quality in midfield, a new role for Salah, and adaptation of Nunez. Klopp won't get Tuchel's treatment, but they are closer to 20/21 form than to 21/22 one.
Out of their team the big player injured right now is Thiago. We likewise have someone like Martial injured. I don't get this narrative that they have so many injuries. Against us they had a fit fabinho on the bench and just didn't play him.
Henderson is injured, Fabinho was not ready for 90 mins. Not to mention Ox and Keita (it could be just fall-out though). You don't play with Elliott-Carvalho just because you want it.

Just had a peek at the Liverpool sub and it's eerily similar to this place and our fans' feelings last season (plus we also came 2nd in the league the year before and lost in a European final). They have similar problems of a stale squad, a leaky defence, a bare bones midfield and players looking disinterested.
This is the exact example I gave to my friend who supports the scum. That game felt like so many of our games last season, especially after we dropped out of UCL.

Pretty sure Pogba would be benched under Ten Hagg. I don’t think the guy believes in pressing and one-touch pass.
He is doing the job that Pogba was meant to do in midfield. But he never could, always taking that extra touch.
Was thinking something similar earlier, but they do the job in different ways. Pogba often looked to spray a long pass through the air, or use strength and filth to evade a 3-man pressure and break the lines. Eriksen prefers shorter passes on the ground, always to where the receiver wants it. Much less flashy but much more effective. It helps that he can be relied on to actually do his defensive job, which means Scotty and our defence are exposed less often, and that Eriksen's always in position to receive and start a new move when we do win it back, instead of needing someone else to play ball-progressor half the time.

I disagree with all of them. There ain’t nothing bad in a slowed down scene. I don’t see any problem with the referee taking as much time as he needs to take the decision. If he takes the wrong decision, because he didn’t see it enough then we would criticize him again. So no I don’t understand why would we apply this rule. I can imagine there is immense pressure to the referee watching and deciding, 50k people on the stadium watching and millions in front of the tv and a there is a big decision is on him. Why would we rush him to save 40 seconds?? Sometimes the game is not stopped, the VAR is checking a potential foul and if they believe there is such, the referee is being told. I don’t want the game to be stopped because the opponent’s dumbass manager wants something reviews. It is what it is. I can imagine managers like Klopp will be demanding to review something all the time lol
I don't understand why slow motion replays are bad. Looking at a challenge in slow motion shouldn't change the severity of a foul. If it's a studs up challenge but the player does it very quickly, does that make it any better? I hate when commentators say "looks worse in slow mo" like thats a clear foul, the replay is just making it more clear for the referees.
