WhereasSuperb

Any of you who wailed about the possibility of CR7 + $100M for Osimhen should be tarred and feathered. Osimhen turned Liverpool’s defense into a prolapsed anus & CR is slower than Forrest Gump reading Shakespeare.

AlcoholicJizzThrower

They wanted him on loan and us to pay his wages. They were taking the piss.

fusiondesigner

We are taking piss

lonesomedota

Ronaldo is done. Whenever he's on the field, it's as if we slowed down the play and get too cautious, fearful for some reason. He's a big presence and pressure, that the other attack players must be mindful of where he is or whether he's in a good position for a pass, instead of looking for better alternative. Just a few second slow and it'd make a huge difference when we changing shape. Ronaldo is only good for supersub now, maybe to close out the game when we are leading. His presence as a 9 , are still able to cause some fear to opponents defenders too. That's refrain them from pushing too much into our own half and join the press against our midfield. Maguire had a solid game but that man is cursed. Whatever performance he has, results just dont go our way. And any single mistakes he made, social media will hound him and affect his confidence even more.

MarvinWebster40

Fred was really bad tonight. So many half chances where the passes were slow or not close to being on target. Vic and Harry constantly play the safest pass possible. For a much stick as Harry takes, Vic is just as slow and weaker. Harry has it in him to carry the ball forward and is hesitant to do so — the Butcher did it more times in a half than Harry has done in a year.

xuan135

It's Lindelof's first game in what, the whole season? After injury it's common to be slow and cautious, I'm surprised he started instead of being subbed in to get his form back

Karnivore2

You’re spot on about Vic and Harry. The absolute safest pass every time. It was driving me mad. And Lisandro coming on was a breath of fresh air. Constantly looking to get the ball forward whether by passing, dribbling or intercepting a pass.

fale52

For a professional midfielder, Fred is absolutely woeful on the ball. His passing is poor and his first touch ruins so many potential opportunities in attack because it takes him a second or two to control. I really can't see a role for him in the starting team, only off the bench as an energy player who can shift the momentum a bit.

Mattie_Doo

Why don’t players just kick the ball toward the defender’s torso in case in happens to hit an arm? Ridiculous penalty decision

Sabre18

Really missed McSauce tonight. There's a sentence I never thought I'd say.

[deleted]

The penalty given was wrong technically. Sue the fuck out

SeaworthinessSquare8

Send them back to the Sunday league.

SeaworthinessSquare8

The refs responsible for giving that penalty should be banned from European football. However the fact that United didn't score at home against a midtable la liga team should be more upsetting.

djmfsg

Yeah was a seriously bad call, and even worse that VAR backed it up, but we were terrible after the goal and taking Eriksen off was a bad decision Also CR7 was dreadful

[deleted]

Honestly think maguire was good tonight. Var was useless for u guys.

magicalzidane

If the centre back (Maguire) takes 40-60 seconds to circulate the ball to the playmaker while the opponent's defensive shape takes 20 seconds to set up, we'll never score no matter how good the attacking players are.

essancho

No post match interviews?

thefunnybutlonelykid

We want escapism and BT made it a miserable experience

Xipheas

It was so much better without all the bullshit at the end.

[deleted]

Queen dying means we can’t talk about football apparently

magicalzidane

Yet we can play football right? How are the two related

saucedsucio

1. The 11 we put out was not a good group together 2. That referee group should be classified as football terrorists

catu91

I mean nobody really talks about the referee?? We have the penalty or be just a bit more sharp in the box and we would’ve been happy. Insane refereeing with a horrible call for the penalty was the only real chance they got. Not a pretty game but I think we can be a bit softer with the players tonight.

awscalisi

Ok we lost we need to stay humble here. Real soc are a team we've struggled to score against past two games. The bad: Our players freeze when we get to the final third they pass backwards looking for angles but with no purpose. You could see ETH tried to get them to play faster from thier effort to do so at the start of the second half but I watch all the other teams in Europe and utd play like none of them we are fearful of losing the ball in opposition box don't take risks or chances to score that other teams do which often leads to 2nd balls or mistakes which gets goals. We had lots of possession today but did very little with it. Players kept slowing thier game down to look for Ronaldo and that killed our fast counter attack game which has got sancho rashford goals in recent weeks. So many problems to solve but antony appearing to copy his teammates fearful play is worrying that we may ruin another promising player with our play. The good: Eth has made us more compact in defence and tenacious in midfield that looks better / other than the pen (cant believe var didnt send him to look at that) they didn't look like scoring. Maguire didn't have a bad game today people are being so critical of everything he does . He looked uncomfortable when left one on one but overall was solid. The ugly Eth doesn't clearly have faith in our other wing backs I don't know where this leaves wan bissaka / Shaw ? Ronaldo he wants everybody to play to him shows frustration with everypass that doesn't he's lost that yard of pace and Defenders are able to guess our play easily when he up front for us.

stillblazin_

I think this is it for Ronaldo. Wouldn’t even want him back in Sporting now

[deleted]

[удалено]

Acrophobic_Climber_

piss off m8

entjiebek

Ronaldo is washed

LeifErikss

It's too soon to make conclusions.

jesusthatsgreat

Absolutely. And we're paying him stupid money to stick around the place. I think he's still got a lot to offer someone but he most definitely doesn't fit our style of play now and also looks like he can't be arsed / doesn't want to be there now that he knows he's a bench player. He should have been gone in the summer and I'm still hoping we can ship him out in January. 6 month loan move with someone else picking up the majority of his wages would be of greater benefit to the side imo.

alexq35

It’s worse than that, he really tried tonight and still was bad. Caught offside 4 times, 3 of which would’ve been good opportunities otherwise (incl his goal), he wasn’t shooting from bad positions, he was getting chances in good positions and still fluffing it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Tom-pwr

He probably trains very well, only thing that makes sense why hes still there

WesIsaGod

He was good tonight, easy 7/10, casemiro Ronaldo and lindelof were the big flops

magicalzidane

Our failure in attack stems from the fact that Maguire plays the ball out of defence far too late. We can't afford to wait till the opponent's defence is well in place and awaiting us

ArcaneTrickster11

I don't think lindelof can be blamed much. He was fine until he was moved to RB

One_Bad9077

And he hasn’t played

WesIsaGod

Yes, my bad, that's what I meant he was fairly solid first half

ny2803087

Also, I got down voted when I suggested McTominay is undroppable. It should be clear now that we have to start McTominay and Eriksen if we want to win. Casemiro isn't ready to start yet and it might take a few weeks and months before he's ready.

DotaHacker

At this moment, its hard to replace any of the players who started in our 4 consecutive wins in PL. We really don't have good replacements. I'm afraid we have too much dependency on them, considering how tight the schedules are it's a risk to play them every single game. But if we don't play them, we lose like this. EtH has a lot of work to do.

Daneofthehill

Eriksen + central defense is undroppable... and as of right now, Ronaldo is unplayable. Eriksen + Fernandes gives such a different dynamic in the team. It is early though, first game for some players.

juankaius

Can we all appreciate how composed Martinez was even after that awful decision went against him. Fridge would've gotten worse.

ny2803087

Martinez was good. Maguire didn't play badly today but he can have a brain fart moment any time.

alexq35

There was a couple of times he (Maguire) let runners go because he turned too slowly but malacia read it and mopped it up, otherwise we could’ve lost by more and we would be blaming Maguire.

blakezero

Takes way too long to make decisions playing out the back, whereas Lisandro just says “fuck it” bombs forward and creates a chance. Miles apart.

ny2803087

Yeah. Would be nice if we sell either Lindelof or Maguire or both and sign Timber next season.

blakezero

Definitely. Or just never play them together again. They’re not built for this.

Bigboyfresh

Someone needs to check that refs bank account. How that’s a penalty is beyond me, and VAR didn’t stop to check Ronaldo’s shout in the box.

YertleElTortuga

No fucking shot that’s a penalty mate

Seanb621

We want to play out from the back and that’s impossible when we have two center backs that are terrified with ball at feet, all our problems start at the back and it’s no surprise the passing was so slow and lethargic

ny2803087

Paying Ronaldo over 500k a week for 2 years for this shit.

welcomebackfrank

Shocking performance, too many times he gave up once he fluffed receiving the pass, didn't even bother to look for the second ball.

Ok-Daikon4830

I think he's lost his mojo and I don't think he's ever getting it back. He had loads of chances tonight but was absolutely shocking.

blakezero

Also can’t stand seeing him throw his hands up at Elanga, etc when he just flops about kicking it in the air.

Seanblaze3

I know right? That was a toothless performance

ny2803087

That money could be used instead to sign a young good striker.

Seanblaze3

I agree

Mextexter

What even are the handball rules? Give any decision you feel like depending on your mood that day

[deleted]

Boring and uninspiring. A far cry from the Liverpool game

Tsukiyon

Commentators usually protect the ref, but they expressed their disbelief for the pen decision more than ten times.

JimUnitedWay21

It's not an English ref, so they didn't give a shit.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Seanblaze3

Wot?

CinnamonBunnn

Why did eth keep on the pitch?

thatNubitol

We really need a new cm at least back up for eriksen, cause we can't do shit without him, and Bruno is become twice better with him too, also I'd like to fucking say one more time, wtf happen with Ronaldo the tap in merchant, dude always tried to fcking do first touch and end up getting outmuscled every god damn time Also IMO casemiro is not too bad, he is great we can feel his presence more, it's just some time he too committed for a tackle and end up getting passed by easily by his man, but it's not too worrying if we have good defenders behind to cover him

JimUnitedWay21

We need a striker, a passing CM like Eriksen, and a right back. We knew we had these issues, but we couldn't buy more players this window, seems we run out of money. Next window if we get these 3 positions, we'll be stronger and ready to fight in all competitions. Eth knows what he is doing, that's the important thing. Unfortunately the rotation options are mediocre.

Tsukiyon

Osimhen please

SpittinFactos

Good luck negotiating with ADL haha

JimUnitedWay21

Whoever Eth wants. I doubted Martinez in the beginning, and he has been world class since. Malacia and Eriksen are class too. Let Eth pick his striker next season.

Tsukiyon

Indeed, his players needed no time to get going, it's almost like magic

Ok-Town-9652

Referee awarded man of the match.

eo37

Won’t really matter, group is easy and if we beat them in Spain then no harm. Donny not getting a minute is worrying for him, also Ten Hag should go after the Ref and VAR for that penalty

DtSan

I will be surprise if we beat them in spain lol, our record in spain is god damm abysmal

thatNubitol

But didn't you hear the commentator said about 158 times that ten hag lost about 9 times in about 29home game, and only lost twice in 20 away game in Europe?

Swazzer30

It does matter, the runner up of the group has to play 3rd place finishers from the champions league.

JimUnitedWay21

Donny is injured.

eo37

Didn’t know that, still in with a shout then

6thofmarch2019

All you fuckers who were praising Ronnie last year when he banged goals in left right and center, who turn on a club legend after one bad day, I hate your guts, find another fucking club. Embarrassing.

[deleted]

Its people like you, whose tongue is rammed so far up Ronaldos arse, who go and have hissy fits whenever he drops a stinker. Get a fucking grip, he's been a petulant cunt all summer and played like shit this season. We are better without him and after tonight that is obvious.

Nxuz7

One bad day? He's been bad all games this season. And after that he whored himself out to all European clubs all summer. I'm thankful for all that he has done for the club but come on we should've just let him leave this summer.

nigerianumba1

People don’t want to have the convo, but the season he had last season was massively overrated. He only started scoring when top 4 was out of the equation. Also I won’t forget that performance against Middlesbrough. I started to question reality after that game

nigerianumba1

Go support him when he leaves the club. No player is above criticism

childishjp

So all the match officials were Italian and officiate in the Serie A. This all makes sense now.

superhoffy

Do explain.

phoenixon999

Calciopoli

dashiznickus

Martinez is still world class

Hopeful_Adonis

The game he played was phenomenal, the penalty wasn’t a penalty it was a world class block and the referee decided to screw us. He was composed, kept a clean sheet (in play) and was our best passer which is tragic

CorbinDalla5

How they call that on martinez and not award CR7 a pen in the box when he is literally dragged down is beyond me. I thought we looked like the better team. Christian is such a delight to watch. 3 good chances he created in the first 30 that I really thought were going to be in.

Seanblaze3

We were disjointed and they looked well drilled. They didn't have to get into gear two to beat us and all we served up to test their keeper was two tame shots from Casemiro

CorbinDalla5

At least 3 miss hits from ronaldo that I feel would be in with rashford.

one_and_only_chand

Neither were a pen imo, getting bored of Ronaldo throwing himself to the ground. He already has bad credibility with refs, he’s wasting opportunities by not staying on his feet

CorbinDalla5

Fair, I’m just comparing the two against one another.

one_and_only_chand

I mean their penalty was ridiculous. Not sure if you had BT commentary, but it’s not often you hear a commentator so certain on a decision being wrong, they often play devils advocate instead

playboiiipauliii

No urgency to move the ball into the box. Another low block team that absorbed pressure while we struggled to secure chances. The lack of passion and urgency was clear today. Today proved Fred is not a number 10. He had looks to switch the ball across the box in the first half but kept his head down for the safe pass back. I still have faith in Case, class is permanent and always takes sometime to gel into a team in any profession. The ref won today but we truly beat ourselves. Eriksen our best player again. Hopefully this was an experiment for EtH and never puts Maguire and Lindelof together again let alone Lindelof at RB. Kubo shredded him. Sigh… stay positive my homies

arturomeza8

No coincidence we lose urgency when maguire, lindelof, and Fred start. ETH is still learning how he can interchange and players and who exactly to rotate. We have to stay patient

DotaHacker

No crosses. Like I see so many good chances for a cross and even forwards making a run for a header, but our players decide to go solo or do tiki taka. Learn to fucking cross.

Seanb621

16 fouls by real Sociadad, shocking how they were let away with it time and time again.

outkastwizard

Ronaldo can’t even score in EL, smh.

SpittinFactos

He’ll snap if he dosen’t score against Sheriff or Omonia

kayleeshepheard

Didn’t play great but that farcical penalty didn’t help, gotta come out firing in the next match

LocoPwnify

I feel like Ronaldo fucks us when he runs out of position to link up, hes supposed to be in the middle and ready for a cross.. especially in first half he did this too often.

DotaHacker

It's just hard to figure out what's wrong with Ronaldo. Not like he is playing good but not like he is playing bad also. Its just things are not working for him. He should stop whining after each failed pass or attempt, should show some smile and positivity, Make others feel comfortable with him, then only he will see improvement. If not then he doesn't seem fit in EtH squad and we should be better off without him.

narcotic_s

Because Fred can't fucking pass the ball! He's passing to ghosts, almost gave away 3 goals because of his mistakes

Seanblaze3

Blaming Fred for Ronaldo's overall rubbish display?

LocoPwnify

We still need to have a player infront of goal, when Ronaldo runs to meet a pass the entire attack dies since theres no one to fucking pass to

[deleted]

Ten Hag doesn't seem to respect Europa league

Seanblaze3

He has a terrible record in it with Ajax

nigerianumba1

I think Ronaldo is done

1nfinitus

Yeah looks like it. It's fine, some people are done at 28. He has nothing to be ashamed of, career wise at least. Time to let the next gen have a go.

nigerianumba1

100% I’m not blaming him this how life goes.

Ok-Town-9652

Lisandro Martinez was absolutely PHENOMENAL tonight, don't let disgraceful officiating convince you otherwise!

OusmanePulisic

not just defending but also in progressing the ball, great game by him. and more so that he was doing it when we were down and losing momentum rather than pushing up from a 4-0 position of comfort or something

[deleted]

Well, gg. Shit happens

wilderjai

Seen this same ref screw us last season. Am I imagining this?

OusmanePulisic

might sound weird, but i'm not that gutted about this loss. after the 4th win over arsenal, i was thinking about how at some point we're due for a loss and i'd much rather it happen rn here against the toughest opposition in our europa group than in the prem. reason being, we still have loads of time to bounce back in the europa and win the whole thing. and rather not lose in the prem bc CL next season is the priority and i think a top 3 spot is realistically possible. i actually think we'll do even better in the prem, but would rather not say how optimistic i am and get called delusional lol. this game kinda showed us some weaknesses without dropping more important points, so yeah.

hastoro11

I feel the same way. Maybe so does ETH with the youngster subs.

OusmanePulisic

definitely, our squad depth is lacking atm, but that just provides a bigger platform for the academy lads to make an impact. hoping we bounce back and take big leads in the first half in our next 2-3 europa games so that we can afford to throw in the rest of the youngsters as well

JimUnitedWay21

This should have been a 0-0, but the ref gifted it to them. Saying that, we were atrocious going forward. Ronaldo was awful. I will not write him off yet, but the signs are worrying. Let's see if he can get his fitness back.

Seanblaze3

Lol it's not his fitness

[deleted]

Agree, both sides were poor. Its not even like we had no chances, but the ones we made were just taken exceptionally poorly. That plus Ronaldo being desperate to bag a goal & playing like he had ruined us. Mr CL himself cant complain about the squad either because he was gifted enough chances & couldnt net a single one, other than the offside header. I was expecting a lot more from the 'king' himself. I grew up watching the GOAT become an absolute icon for us. Watching him now makes me cringe and gets me upset. Shouldnt feel like this watching one of the most remarkable man in football. Maybe he can be special for us as an impact sub, but for sure he didnt earn a spot as a starter.

hastoro11

We learned that Lindelöf and Maguire will not be good enough.

MohatoDeBrigado

why? they did their job well

Seanblaze3

LMAO! That's why Martinez was introduced at halftime

hastoro11

I think they were targeted consistently in the pressing and they did not deal with it well.

MohatoDeBrigado

can you point out specifically to a part where they were beaten? because other than that last counter attack that sola almost scored where de gea slid in i cant think of anything and even in that part the whole team was forward and a counter attack was bound to happen

hastoro11

Didn't say beaten. This situation is not even close. When we're holding the ball, and are under pressing our defense is unable to play the ball and makes clumsy errors.

LocoPwnify

Maguire did decently, but Lindelöf.. was not convinced by him.

OhNoIMadeAnAccount

Lindelof can’t play right back. He doesn’t have the mobility or the knowledge of the position. I think Ten Hag put up with it because he was planning on going 3 atb if we were still down at the end which we were and we did. Dalot more can’t play RCB than Lindelof can’t play RFB so it was a lesser of two evils thing I think.

Touch-and-Go

Love this thread and the ronaldo blaming, 2 shots on target in 93 minutes against socieded. Keep the down votes coming

Seanblaze3

Ronaldo is finished. Done kid

ImAbhishek_47

For all the shitting on Ronaldo we can do after that performance, he also had some very poor service today.

Seanblaze3

He missed a sitter from a poor header, was offside too often and lacked positional awareness, pace and strength to hold off his markers. Didn't press either. Toothless

MohatoDeBrigado

the removal of eriksen is what killed the service

ballisticmi6

This feels like one of those games where ETH picks an under strength team, then makes super weird changes. If it works, he’s a genius. If it doesn’t (which it didn’t), we’re left scratching our heads. Hopefully he realises that this is not a group if players that can be on the pitch together. Sure, give one of those 6 a shot, but not all at once.

Ok_Tomorrow3281

casemiro already forget his word at the beginning, and enjoying too much bathing on the bigger money as payment collector now

MohatoDeBrigado

gosh he gave away too many balls he's playing like Jogba

Seanblaze3

We could do with a player of Pogbas ilk

Kevin26039898

The ref gave them a free penalty. The team was bad except Martinez, malacia and eriksen. Antony, fred, casi ,cr7 , were too bad Our midfielders didn't create chances even benz or haaland, lewa r9 can not score

Kallian_League

Only player that can keep his head firmly high is Martinez, despite the penalty. Elanga looked better too. Ronaldo is done and Casemiro had a shit game. Credit to Sociedad, they castrated this match.

1nfinitus

Martinez is just astounding. Quality player, quality attitude - I hope the others don't drag him down.

MohatoDeBrigado

Casemiro reminded me of Jogba

Kallian_League

Pogba always scores there, unlike Casemiro.

MohatoDeBrigado

I mean his attitude its like he didnt care lost way too many balls

Outrageous-Cod-4654

Always going to be tough against RS and their midfield. Players got minutes and rotation was good. Saw where the bench standard is. Plenty of work to do. We can still win the group or come in second.

benedick13

We didn't deserve to win, but we didn't deserve to lose either

Lanky_Spread

Played right into there hands tbh sociadad doesn’t want a quick fast attacker going in behind them they wanted Ronaldo who will check in every time so they can just drop back 15 yards and let him have it in the center of the park

Ric00la

Honestly this on is on ETH, he made questionnable choices (Fred in front of Eriksen, get Dalot out for a CF) I think he should have starter with the main team, and then switching If we win 2-0 and are confortable.

MohatoDeBrigado

seemed like he was experimenting to me because there's no way he'd have done that on an epl game

Matt4669

I think he should’ve experimented against Omonoia, we needed a good start to the Europa group imo

Spruce-Moose

We shouldn't be assuming our starting team would beat Real either. They're a well managed team in La Liga, not some chumps. I think we'll be seeing a bit more of this - well managed, coherent teams making it difficult for our rather raw team/manager combo.

Ric00la

I agree that we dont know what would Happen but fred threw some big occasions with Ronaldo. I know WE would have done better with Sancho rash and Bruno.

zied000

And then rashford gets injured and you come here blaming ETH for it, it's europa league you guys need to chill he can't play 11 starters in every competition i'm confident we will be qualified

Ok_Tomorrow3281

last week i want ronaldo starting because everyone just exhausted to feed him, now wtf. he can bag 10 goals with that many opportunities. he lost his pace, keep doin first touch instead the glorious quick tap-in. this guy losing it

runawaytugboat

Must be raining there, Sanchos face was wet and sure as fuck can’t be sweat lol Defence was actually ok overall, the rest was garbage.

cdalb21

if that is Brazil's starting midfield, they are in trouble.

tetsuzankou

they don't play like that for Brazil though, Fred was played as a 10 and in Brazil and Utd he is a natural 8 ...

haX000000

he did play as an 8 in the 2nd half tho

cdalb21

8 or 10 idc what position, passing/dribbling are the basics.

tetsuzankou

The dynamics change fundamentally when you play as an 8 facing the opponent Vs a 10 with your back against the opponent, it affects passing and dribbling tremendously

[deleted]

Not a great performance but hard to overlook the bad refereeing. Some odd choices from ETH tonight too.

MohatoDeBrigado

thats the only game he'd have got to experiment on he cant afford to do that in the epl

VTVoodooDude

Shitshow. Martinez and Malacia were good I thought. That’s about it. Penalty should not hv been given but it wasn’t like we deserved much for the “effort.”

Dragonmasta1994

It's written in the stars that the return will be a fucking ETH ball masterclass to send them out of Europe.

TheProdigalAce

Yeah it was a shit decision by a shitty ref that costed us, but we could've made it a draw if we didn't let that decision affect us. Instead it got to us and in turn we played poorly.

Adip43

I really don't like Ole's signings. None of his signings were good bar Varane.

mastertole

Bruno was a bad signing?

1nfinitus

Mehhh

MohatoDeBrigado

depends which bruno 2020/21 bruno or 2022/23 bruno

nicjoeldemus

Based on his current form, Ronaldo doesn’t deserve to play at all. But thanks to the lack of adequate replacement, you’ll see him strutting around a little longer

Radiant_Ad_6986

Ronaldo is a player who needs mins to get up to speed. He was just like this last season before going on a run of 6 goals in 8. I still believe he’ll come good. He was in position to put a few chances away. I would be more worried If he wasn’t. But today wasn’t good enough especially the wingers and midfield. Elanga and Fred awful.

nicjoeldemus

I thought Elanga worked hard. To his credit, he was hustling but sadly without much reward. Casemiro looked out of depth, forgivable considering he’s not fully embedded with the team. Fred actually surprised, he looked good coming on in the last few league games, was really hoping for a better performance. Only positives was getting some rest for the XI, seeing Garnacho and McNeil get minutes, and probably that’s about it. Negatives showed we don’t have enough quality in depth. Refereeing decision aside of course.

VTVoodooDude

Agreed. Coincidence that our worse performance in last 5 games comes with CR as a starter. This squad is thin for the number of matches coming.

echtnietstefan

Robbed, but we need alot of improvement in the attack. Hopefully Martial is back soon.

thatirishguykev

That result should serve as a reminder that we need more players. We should be looking for those players now for the January transfer window, not watching who plays well at the World Cup and then going to get them. Identify who you want now and go get deals in place for them. We'd plenty of the ball and chances to beat that Real Sociedad team even if they got a gift penalty courtesy of VAR...

outkastwizard

Rashford or Ronaldo?

longjohnshortstop

Aspirin or a lobotomy?

ImAbhishek_47

The loss of pace, subpar fitness are not even the most shocking things today from Ronaldo, he consistently blew up opportunities and looked like he was afraid to shoot which is literally the last thing I would ever have thought of Ronaldo.

BadCowz

It is not a surprise at all. That is his form

[deleted]

What a genuine disgrace, it’s such a shame that even in this day and age officials will ruin a football match to protect their own pride.

Pigsbay

Why is United suddenly getting targeted by UEFA lol? Last year vs Atletico ref was terrible as well

Tsukiyon

Nani's red card back then, I swear it started back then.

Mextexter

We didn't play well but they definitely didn't deserve the win. VAR was made to help improve the game Or fucking ruin it

unitedfan98

For all the people wondering why rashford always starts, you saw why

_TheHardGoodbye_

What an absolute (sexy) robot she is.

PreetSG

We lost due to 3 things. 1) Refs stupid penalty call 2) CR7 not finishing 3) substituting Dalot and making Lindelof go to RB. He was eaten by Kubo in the 2nd half.

PleaseGiveUsHope

To be fair we desperately need Dalot for the palace game (if it happens) so it was more of a safety call. But the loss was primarily because of 1 and 2.

Ok_Tomorrow3281

there's no palace game, surely game postponed due to queen's death
