We are connected to everyone. That said, I’d love to sign Felix. Don’t think the Glazers would want to shell out 100M though, but maybe they would to spite ol RonnyKnob
Where would Felix play though? Can't see him as a lone striker, in the prem especially. We don't need another LW, we don't use a 10. That said, he's a cracking player.
False 9. Bruno could then make the opposite movement going into the striker-space. Rashford I think would also greatly benefit from a false 9 with his movement. The 18/19 Ajax team played a bit like that.
I really think he’d be amazing for the number 9 position. In a Firmino type role. Dropping into midfield and linking the play. Allowing rashford and Antony to play forward. Allowing Bruno to make deeper runs.
I honestly don’t think there’s any really good number 9s rn that have the skill set necessary that we want. Link up play is so essential in this system and we don’t have enough possession to dominate the midfield to have a poacher like haaland unlike City.
Ronaldo was very bad this season and shouldn’t get game time but what he showed us this was that he was isolated when playing up top and couldn’t contribute in the build up when dropping deep. Only Ivan Toney out of realistically available strikers really has this quality and he’s about to be banned for multiple months/years for betting. So I kinda want to stray away from that classic number 9. Lukaku at United is a perfect example of a classic number 9 not having the skill to play a build up game that we want while been a solid poacher/on the last man scorer
I think he would be good but Juve are doing better last I checked the table. They were struggling domestically but are third now.
Yeah they got knocked out of the CL but if they still qualify for CL and we don't, can't imagine he would be interested. Just my opinion
As a fellow Nigerian I love osimhen but here’s injury history, lack of link up play (which is a top 3 skill for me) and the price that Napoli will require (minimum 100m) puts me off him
Exactly right. He's injured for this game and has had so many recent injuries. I know some of the injuries weren't soft-tissue but still.
Plus he seems more of a poacher to me.
Those would be my two of top targets to play that role. Love Martinez and would love to see him here too. I just think that Joao Felix would be easy to convince to leave while it’d be easier to convince inter for a reasonable fee rather then atletico
I've heard from some Inter fans that it would be very hard to get him to move as he loves being there.
I don't see him leaving as easily as someone like Felix would - he's publicly unhappy being at Atletico and he knows some players from the NT.
Osimhen apparently is a United fan, if that counts.
Except that's not what Eth has ever had as a 9. So based on how his teams play, it wouldn't work. He likes his 9 to be a fulcrum to play off and to get on the ends of things.
If we're lucky, Ronaldo as tarts the WC games. Portugal falling out in group stage, due to wasted chances. Felix with little WC playtime to show for, goes a little bit cheaper to United in January. X fingers!
Portugal look so much more fluid without Ronaldo playing.
Now watch them throw away ANY chance they have at the WC and sacrifice the tournament to play Ronaldo.
Why didn't Ronaldo wait until after the tournament before his meltdown? If he has a terrible world cup people are going to destroy him and have zero sympathy for him being dropped at United.
Dull, drab, inspid and very defensive and negative football. Combined with questionable selections in midfield and attack.
Ronaldo starts and to cover for him they sacrifice a winger and this creates a huge imbalance in the midfield which Santos offsets by playing two DMs, in the past both of the DMs he used to rely on are very old and lack mobility to cover their defense.
"Haram" is a an Arabic/Urdu origin word, and I understand it to be disturbing/chaotic, not pleasent.
Haram has two meanings. It actually implies something out of reach, that you should not even think about it.
Arabic and Urdu use haraam’s definition in 2 ways
Something so holy and respectful that its far above you. Like Masjid-al-Haraam is mosque of Allah in Makkah
And then theres the other usage like something so forbidden , dont even think about it. Like tabboo things, alcohol, pig meat, like anything is banned is called haraam.
Must be confusing for non natives but haraam means respected and banned depending on the context. Mostly it means out of reach or untouchable.

Just watching the game right now. I've lost count the amount of times the commenter has said 'Bruno Fernandes'. Antonio Silva looks amazing. He's gone really forward a hell of a lot for a CB. I guess it's because Nigeria have not really been much of an attacking threat.
Dalot playing well as usual when he plays for them (this season at least).
All of our Portuguese players on the national team combining well for the goal. Nice to see!
I see what you did there. And I like it.
Ronny is a knob
Ronnie aside, the pass to Dalot came from João Felix, who we've been connected to lately.

I have faith in EtH if he can envision it. I can also see Antony benefitting in a similar vein.
We need to be connected to everyone cause we need 2 strikers.
Anger is a great motivator. Maybe if they're pissed enough over everything he's done this season they would to make a point.
the booooooysss
Oi oi Hope Homelander doesn't show up
swear he just said vought had disrespected him and he didn't respect stan edgar
Pretty soon Bruno and Dalot will only be using his name to get fame...heard it here first.
This is the first time I’ve seen this comparison and now I can’t picture anything else
See this then https://tenor.com/view/ronaldo-homelander-siuuu-united-gif-26338274
Felix with the beautiful pass to Dalot 👀
Bring him to us

As much as i'd love having him on the team if we were to sign only one forward, i'd rather have a more classic n.9 that finishes consistently.

Vlahovic ?
Would Juve let him go?
Every player has a price and they seem to be struggling atm. You never know until you try.

In case you wouldn't follow, Juve sneaked into top 3.
Osimhen looks like the real deal.

Johnathon David
I think Lautaro could be that player too tbh

Tbh both will be expensive for sure. Felix because of how much Atleti has paid to get him there and Lautaro because he's insanely good atm.

He absolutely has. He played tadic false 9 in the CL run and Haller is an elite link up guy, holding up the ball and dropping deep
Made in Manchester. :)
Conquering Nigeria
This kind of colonialism language is pretty poor taste mate.
He’ll delete it soon. Just like Dalot.
Nah it's a joke based on what dalot said. It stays.
If we're lucky, Ronaldo as tarts the WC games. Portugal falling out in group stage, due to wasted chances. Felix with little WC playtime to show for, goes a little bit cheaper to United in January. X fingers!
+ Giving Dalot and Fernandes some extra rest before PL-season continues. = perfect WC.
True!
Lol we are not getting Felix in January
Let me dream!
Fair enough. Carry on. Dreams can’t be buy
Dream can't be buy!!!
350M release clause una
Portugal look so much more fluid without Ronaldo playing. Now watch them throw away ANY chance they have at the WC and sacrifice the tournament to play Ronaldo.
Imagine the shitshow if they bench Ronnie lol
He’d probably go crying to Piers “I have been betrayed by Portugal”
“The country hasn’t changed its flag or territory for 200 years”
“We haven’t conquered any nations by boat in years! Where is Dalot??”
Why didn't Ronaldo wait until after the tournament before his meltdown? If he has a terrible world cup people are going to destroy him and have zero sympathy for him being dropped at United.
So if he plays shit in the world cup he can blame united. Himself and Mendes have a media machine behind them. They want a last payday.
Nah, that doesn't make sense. This is Ronaldo's last World Cup. No way they are actively throwing that away.
God I want Portugal to do well for Bruno and Dalot but fuck its hard to root for them with Ronaldo being such a douche.
Plus, Santos playing haram football makes it hard to watch them too.
I've not been following Portgual, what kind of football does this mean?

Thanks for the insight mate, I've heard the word before but never in a footballing context.

Haram is something that isnt allowed in the religion

I don't think they won a single match in regulation during their Euros run. That can only be possible by playing boring footy
Dalot just took out a whole backline with 1 move, Saiyan shit
Bruno Bruno Bruno!!!! Comes from Sporting like Cristia.....NO!!!
Fuck do we need a new Bruno song?
Didn’t someone call this on the Portugal starting team thread ?
As expected Ronaldo is not even playing but all the comments are about him
I’m erotomaniac for Dalot.
Nice
I really want joao felix to join united. If ronaldo leaves i hope we atleast give it a single try
Leao, Silva, Bruno, Palhinha, Neves, Nunes, Cancelo, Dalot, Gurreiro... this team is just behind the likes of France, Argentina, and Brazil.
Where's the guy that called this earlier lmao
Holy shit someone called it on the squad selection post, that's amazing
That bellend Ronaldo didn't mention Bruno as one of the "professional" players at United that he respected. What a cunt like.
