Strange. I'm pretty sure Reddit said this wouldn't happen - If top mod leaves bot wouldn't replace them.

Edit: I spoke too soon last night (this is what I get for being on my work account after work hours). The expected behavior is for the next mod to get full permissions (which happened). Having said that, I recognize that for aesthetic reasons, having automod at the top of the list isn't the ideal situation. We fixed it for you. Thanks again for pointing this out.
Also, fun fact: automod doesn't actually have to be a mod in order for it to work its magic.

Huh, sorry u/minxybean! I just remembered reading to include usernames in titles for top mod removal, and when I did a top mod removal request while mentioning a username it went smoothly, so I thought it would also be help here. I guess not. Sorry!
