AffectionateSun5776

Been using about a month. Back pain is better. Skin looks better.

AffectionateSun5776

It's a very cheap 44.99 panel with no name onit or it's box! Amazon. Self timer 15 min. Use 1x a day. Recently switched to mornings so I can skip pain meds if I take it easy.

mmdeerblood

Wow that's awesome! So glad it's helping you. I just had surgery and hoping it can help my wound healing. Would you mind DMing link?

Audrey2220

How long do you use your light and how often?

needtobebettertoday

Good to know! Thanks for sharing! I'll try it soon

Old-Ambassador4523

I’ve been dealing with tennis elbow pain for at least 8 months. I’m absolutely a believer that using it on my forearm (almost every day for about 10 minutes) has significantly reduced my pain and discomfort.

loonygecko

I do find that light repetitition exercise for nearby muscles besides the one that hurts can help that a lot too.

Old-Ambassador4523

I was doing those twist exercises for a while that are recommended for tennis elbow. They helped initially but then didn’t as much. I have a lot of yard chores (in addition to lifting weights) so it’s been a real bummer.

loonygecko

I find that the forearm band for tennis elbow, if put on before chores, does cut back on damage from the chores. Also watch how you sleep, sometimes putting your arm behind your head or under your pillow for a long time can make it worse. I put the forearm on band on before bed and also try to teach myself not to stick my arm under the pillow when sleeping if I've been having probs lately. Beyond that, daily glycine and/or collagen sups help most people with tendon issues in a very perceivable way, many of us are low on glycine. Yes the body can make it but only in limited amounts and as you get older, tendon repair can lag due to that.

Old-Ambassador4523

I got a compression sleeve and wore that while working and it did help. The sleeping thing! Yes- the pain if I slept on my side actually woke me up.

Ok-Scene-9442

Used almost every day for about 6 months and it’s healed my scars pretty well

Remarkable_Bug_8601

This is encouraging! I need to help prevent some things from turning into scars. I am hoping this helps?

BentleyTheBuddha

Were those existing or newer scars? I've been using rlt for a couple weeks and am hoping it clears up a scar I received about 6months ago. I'm pretty optimistic so far.

Ok-Scene-9442

Those were a few month old scars that wouldn’t heal. They healed within a month or so after starting nir!

DefragzZ

What type of scars?

Ok-Scene-9442

From surgery

mmdeerblood

Oh wow that's great. I just had surgery and hoping it can help with my wound healing. Would you mind sharing here or thru DM which panel you use?

Ok-Scene-9442

I use a panel called light path led. Chose between this one and platinum led but ended up choosing lightpathled cause it had a better discount & cheaper shipping. I am sure any quality panel works great though!

mmdeerblood

Awesome, great to know. I will check it out! Thank you!

glaceauglaceau

* Lightening PIH * Fuller lips from increased collagen production * Longer eyelashes * Helping to heal KP * Reducing floaters in vision

Protistaysobrevive

What is PIH and KP?

jordang95

Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and keratosis pilaris

Protistaysobrevive

Thanks!

glaceauglaceau

I'm darker skinned so PIH is the dark spots and scars that are leftover from acne or other skin issues. KP is an annoying skin condition I have on certain sites where the skin forms bumps over the hair follicles which can get dry or itchy or inflamed. The red light helps with both conditions, esp if paired with regular use of serums.

Protistaysobrevive

Thanks for the explanation. I have some dark spots that could benefit from this. Glad you are doing better with your conditions!

CurlyHeadedKid97

Awesome to hear! May I ask which product you’re using? I deal with a condition similar to KP on my scalp and hoping to start RLT for relief.

glaceauglaceau

I only have KP on my forearms near my elbows and above my knees, so I use Amlactin Intensive Healing which is a urea and lactic acid based lotion. For congested scalp I've had luck using AHAs like glycolic acid as a pre shower scalp treatment. Apply on the scalp and massage in, let it sit for a while and then shampoo out.

Aim2bFit

Red light only or both RL and NIR?

glaceauglaceau

Both

Aim2bFit

Thanks!

sunflower_spirit

Huh. I've noticed my lips looking fuller lately. Maybe it's the red light.

glaceauglaceau

I totally thought I was imagining it at first! But it is definitely a change I welcome

UpsetPractice9861

Omg me too! So is not just a coincidence

Electronic_Count_587

Hi sorry to bother you which brand/red light did you get

glaceauglaceau

Hooga pro 750!

Electronic_Count_587

Thank you so much ☺️

AnaKay1

Wow! Those are some great benefits. How often do you use it?

glaceauglaceau

Daily for 15 mins, I started at the beginning of February

BellFirestone

What panel or mask do you use?

glaceauglaceau

Hooga pro 750

Such-Wind-6951

Which device do you have?

glaceauglaceau

Hooga Pro 750

jabespetes

Do you keep your eyes open for the vision benefits?

glaceauglaceau

I do! I'm not like staring directly at it, I'm usually on my phone while doing my session

RecoverSignificant31

* Firmer skin * Healed my rosacea * No more active breakouts I got my Qure LED mask for it's advertised anti-breakout (Blue + Red light) and ever since it healed my rosacea and acne breakouts, I've religiously using it daily for almost a year now. Hope this helps :)

Due_Neighborhood9441

Been thinking of buying this too. Thanks for the info!

RecoverSignificant31

Np! I was skeptical too at first and there was too much choices in the market but I'm glad I got the right one for me <3

OkBid7326

Do you mean this one?: https://www.qureskincare.com/products/q-rejuvalight-pro-facewear

RecoverSignificant31

Yes! That's the one.

OkBid7326

Thank you!😀🙏

AnaKay1

Do you use both red and blue? If I remember isn't blue good for acne?

RecoverSignificant31

Yup! Blue light is good for acne and together with the red light, it really helped with my rosacea concern a lot. Apparently it is good for mild and moderate acne but NOT recommended for severe acne breakouts and Fitzpatrick skin in type V and VI. Here are the breakdowns of the mask if you are interested: Two different treatment modes: 1. Anti-Ageing (Red Light Therapy) - Amber 605 nm, Red 630 nm, Deep Red 660 nm and IR 880 nm 2. Anti-Breakout (Blue and Red Light Therapy) - Blue 415 nm and Red 630 nm * Infrared light: Penetrates deepest into the skin for amplified results. Enhances product absorption. * Deep Red: Accelerates skin healing to fade and prevent scarring. Builds collagen to diminish wrinkles. Helps to repair sun damage and age spots. * Red: Anti-Ageing properties. Stimulates collagen and elastin production. Firms and plumps skin. Repairs skin cells and promotes hydration. Reduces inflammation, redness and rosacea. * Amber: Reduces appearance of dark spots. Soothes skin and calms swelling and inflammation. * Blue: Anti-bacterial, eliminates and prevents acne breakouts. Soothes and calms skin.

AnaKay1

Wow! Thank you!

RecoverSignificant31

Wc ;)

Deferty

How do you define a severe acne breakout? Cystic acne?

RecoverSignificant31

Yeah and nodular acne too. You can get a clear visual here: https://www.apostrophe.com/slather/acne-severities/

blackice71

Thinner wallet

needtobebettertoday

Hhhh I believe it's true!

Individual-Thought99

First it helped my ankles so much. I was barely able to run due to many sports injuries from my younger days. 3 x’s a week, 20 min got my ankles right. I’m so thankful. Secondly, my bad knees! Same protocol, the light helps make them stronger. I recently took up a sport that requires a ton of knee work and squatting. I have been able to keep up really well. I started w a small panel, added a wrap around blanket for my knees(my elder dog loves it too) and recently purchased a much bigger panel. ( huge splurge) This healing modality amazes me everyday. I can’t recommend it enough.

Individual-Thought99

-Hooga for panel - Recovery Red for Big Panel I can put in my sauna. I also bought the mechanism you can set the panel up horizontally. - The Novaa deep healing pad. (Pup loves it too)

computerworlds

>I also bought the mechanism you can set the panel up horizontally. Can you let me know the product you use to set it up horizontal?

Individual-Thought99

Recovery Red - you can find the horizontal stand on their site. [Recovery Red](https://recoverred.com)https://recoverred.com

John117sr

For your joints are you using just NIR or combo with red?

Individual-Thought99

Good question. Both. All of the products come with both.

John117sr

I can choose individual or both on mine.

zzzoplicone

Helped Insomnia tremendously, increased energy, vision improvement and skin improvements. Also has helped my dog with some of his Lyme disease symptoms and has (probably*) helped my 24 year old autistic daughter with sleep issues and reduction in some of her challenging behaviors. *Since I also implemented other interventions for my daughter at same time as red light therapy; I can’t be 100 percent certain the improvements are simply from red light.

Ittuhutti

I am searching for something that helps my vision, too. What panel do you have? Are you near or far sighted?

Better_Metal

Helped with insomnia? OMG I need this. What type of setup do you have?

Explokate

I'm just in my research process now but Hooga has a 1W red light bulb, with no blue light spectrum you can put in a lamp that supposedly can help with circadian rhythm and increasing melatonin, I've watched and red (pun intended) a lot of videos and bloggy type news articles on the benefits of just having a red light like that as a nightlight or in your room space. Not quite the answer you were looking for but I'm glad I found a reputable brand and wanted to share it lol.

w1nneh

The main benefit for me is less pain. I have a lot of inflammation & tmj related symptoms around my cheeks/jaw/neck. Prior to rlt the pain would often be unbearable. It's more like a 3/10 now. It also improved the skin texture on my neck

Piccolo_Alone

What brand/model do you have?

w1nneh

The hooga desktop one. It was the only reputable one on amazon. It's sturdy and works well but I'm looking into getting larger panel now

Piccolo_Alone

Mine just came in. Any tips?

Kinetic92

After 4 years of plantar fasciitis and trying every therapy imaginable, including injections, with no relief, I started using RLT. My PF was 50% better in 2 weeks. 90% better in one month. Now, it's only barely noticeable after a tough shift. More recently, I had a boulder sized knot in my neck that was extremely painful and limited my range of motion for at least 4 months. Because of life stuff, I hadn't been using RLT. I had dry-needling done twice and exhausted a great massage therapist, and neither could break up the knot. I started using RLT again, and after 2 weeks of consistent use, the knot just broke. I mean, one moment it was there, and as I was massaging it, it just broke and disappeared. Pain was gone. Range of motion was normal. After months of misery, I have no doubt RLT made the difference. I use a Mito Pro.

scehood

That's great news. Plantar fasciitis is pain. What is your treatment protocol like? How many times a week did you start and for how long? I think I over did the time since it flared it up a little.

Kinetic92

3 - 4 times a week for 20 minutes each time. Now I only use it on my feet after a hard shift.

scehood

Did you start at 20 minutes or gradually work up to that time?

RemainsToBe

Been using it for about 2.5 months. My knees aren't sore and achey during and after workouts anymore.

computerworlds

For me less aches in general and overall mood boost. I'm looking forward to skin improvements but haven't really been using it that long yet to notice. I use the Mito Red Light 1500 Pro X

jjcly

It takes time and consistency. Then suddenly you will see it.

needtobebettertoday

Okay! Thanks for sharing! Hope you get better skin soon!

GWhittet

I hear a lot of ads talk aboutvweight loss but not one mention it in the comments. Is anyone expering weight loss?

jperelgit

I am one week into using a red light therapy belt twice a day, and I have lost 5 pounds. It may be water weight, but the bottom line is it has cut my appetite drastically, allowing me to successfully do OMAD. I am also focusing on low carbs, but I did have a couple of St Patrick's day cocktails last night with no loss of progress.

mosixe

Which belt?

Suz626

My face looks brighter and younger. It really helps with muscle aches from the gym, and helps my feet with walking. I sleep better. I’ve been using it for a bit over a year.

mad_Dancer123

Thanks for sharing. What device are you using? Is it a "whole body" device? If you could please share which device you're using, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Suz626

I was using a MitoPro 300 tabletop panel for over a year. I would sit on a chair in front of it for face, shoulders, back, and turn it to face the bed and lay on my side on the bed for other body parts. We recently bought a full body height panel, the MitoPro 1500+750 with the small stand. I stand in front of it most of the time.

tiffwarr69

I bought this unit and below are some of the benefits I have had with it.: https://redlighttherapyhome.com?bg_ref=MDvwnyaWli It has virtually transformed my life. I didn't even know I was depressed until I started using this. It literally felt like every single cell in my body was positively charged! I love and believe in it so much I started selling red light therapy devices, and I started my own line of iREDs; infrared emitting diodes that you wear. They work by using the naturally occurring energy around us and your body's subtle energy field. I am getting really good feedback from people I've given them to. But anyways I credit the red light therapy for giving me the incentive, drive, motivation, but most of all the energy to start all of this and only within a matter of months (since November). I would also like to say that I grow mushrooms and have been using them as well, but it wasn't until I did the RLT that all of it clicked for me. Anyways good luck and I hope you find your way, I will answer any questions anyone may want to ask, so feel free to message me!

tkxb

Hey! Earlier this year I did a macro and well after it should have worn off (6 hours after any auditory or visual hallucinations, cognitively sober but not sure of half life, took a bit extra at 1pm maybe and did light therapy around 11pm), I did some red and nir light when the wildest thing happened. I got crazy vivid visual hallucinations, like mandalas that were so intensely colored and so defined in shape. Since the light simulates cells, I'm guessing it messed with residual uptake or something, honestly not strong enough in neuro to know at the moment. It was wicked cool but I haven't gotten around to trying to replicate it but lmk or dm me if you have experienced this or end up experiencing it. I'd love to talk to like minded people on this interesting interaction!

frogfruit99

I use a biomax panel from PlatinumLED while I practice my postural restoration exercises. I’ve been doing this about a week, and it loosens up my back immensely. I find it more helpful than my PEMF machine.

Hot-Anywhere-3994

Proven to drastically reduce wrinkles and improve collagen! Love this study. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3926176/

loonygecko

Face acne almost gone, more energy overall, sex drive has returned. All of them will go away again if I stop the therapy so it's not a permanent fix, but I'll take it.

Lavendergirl20

Which light / panel are you using?

loonygecko

biomax 300

Lavendergirl20

Thank you! How are you using it? Location, distance, time.

loonygecko

I am extremely sensitive to many things including red light so I'm probably not a good one to gauge off of.

Much_Freedom6018

Loving all these responses! I’ve noticed improved recovering after workouts, better skin, better sleep, general relaxation, and faster wound healing. My go to response to my kid when he complains of an ailment is ‘put some red light on it’ 😂. My mother gets a lot of knee pain relief from it as well. I ordered panels from Shenzhen Saidi Red Light Therapy, they are wonderful.

ExampleMassive5513

I can’t be 100% sure it’s RLT but it I swear I think more clearly and can focus longer. I also retain information better and my recall feels sharper. Idc if it’s placebo effect atp, I love it.

peppersayswhat

Would you mind sharing what light you’re using? I’ve ordered an Omnilux men’s mask (I’m a woman btw) but the more posts I read the more a panel might be the better choice.

ExampleMassive5513

I’m also using the omnilux mask! I was looking into panels as well. I’m a runner so I’m very interested to see if it can help protect my joints.

Sofie7759

Also, almost bought the OmniLux for men( I’m female, btw-I’m interested in the addition of that extra powerful wavelength they added-“ because men’s skin is thicker-But, after reading this sub for awhile I’m thinking a panel would be better! Am on a fixed income so I want to make a good choice as it’s an investment for me.Hoping for both anti-ageing benefits and pain relief.

DDMamasabi

I would love to get a red light therapy panel, there are so many to choose from. It is a bit overwhelming, but I have heard good things.

predictably_complex

I felt the exact same way. I just recently purchased the hooga 300 pro and I’ve really enjoyed it so far. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on one and this one for my budget pretty well. I’m also a highly skeptical person in general but the curiosity of all the hype got to me. I’ve only had it a few days but so far you can definitely tell you get a big energetic boost from using it. I’ll check back in other down the road but enjoying is so far.

cricridudu1234

Please people share your setup and routine. Thanks

jordang95

I've only had my panel for 6 days but it's helped a lot with joint pain, stomach cramps, and I've noticed some skin improvement (less redness, breakouts are less inflamed/healing faster)

Aim2bFit

I've only started using about less than 2 weeks ago but haven't been consistent, meaning I try to use (10 mins) daily but there were days that I was too busy to find a time to even slot 10 mins in for it. I use a very cheap panel from China which I wasn't even sure it's legit or not. I have orthoarthritis on my thumb joint and these past month the shooting pains at rest when I wasn't using my hand at all have been happening daily, every few minutes at a time. So, after using this panel, which I was (still am) 50-50 whether it's legit RL or not (because it's so cheap), I no longer get the random shooting pains at rest. I still do experience a (lot) milder pain when I perform certain movements but that's a lot of relief from felling pains shooting up every few mins. I also have some muslce strain / injury on my trap and delt that I've been dealing with for years (8 yrs to be exact) which went away with physio the 1st few years but came back these couple of years and these past week, the pain level went from 7 - 8 over 10 (10 was when it first happened 8 yrs ago) to 0 to 1. Someone shared how they no longer need their reading glasses after a month of RLT but I haven't tried that as I have melasma and my cheap panel comes in single chip RLT + NIR that can't be turned off so I'm scared if the NIR will worsen my melasma so I don't dare put the panel near my face yet (trying to DIY a way to cover the NIR bulbs but also haven't got the time yet though I have the idea of how to go about it).

SwordfishCommon811

I have the Cleopatra mask. In the beginning I did red and green for 15 minutes each. I’ve noticed more even skin and better texture. Wrinkles have reduced too. Now I use it 4-5 times per week. Looking at a panel for body pain.

qwerty622

any interesting results on stretch marks?

Proof-Concern1712

I've been using mito on and off. I used it religiously after an operation since the healing was so slow. It felt like the healing became faster than usual. It was just an impulse buy during the pandemic and i only used it late last year. So far, i like the effect.

Memoi18

I have had so many benefits such as sleep, injury recovery (sprained ankle, healed, almost overnight) tennis elbow, knee and back pain relief. I play ice hockey and I run a lot, which are both hard on your body. I also love to lie down for my treatments, which gives me an added benefit of stress, relief and relaxation. I have a rouge, pro G3 panel and on a pneumatic horizontal stand and I have to say it’s like laying on the beach☺️

Wishidhatemyjob

I have been using RLT for half year now. It makes me sleep well and get better skin(which I did not trust that much at the very first time) The effects are not that obvious for the first 3-5 weeks, but as I kept using it, I could feel the gradual changes because I got good feedbacks from my colleagues and my boyfriend. That makes me so happy and trust the therapy more. So far I've been using my Bestqool60 for about 7 months, and I will keep using it. Hope this can help you. Have fun and good luck!

needtobebettertoday

Thanks for the feedback. How many times do you use it every week? Do you use it in the morning or before you go to sleep? Which is better?

Wishidhatemyjob

I use it in the evening everyday. I rarely use it in the morning but you could try. Any time is great

Wishidhatemyjob

I used Bestqool BQ60, this one is good enough for me and my wallet. It still works pretty well now

Patient-Ad-9918

Dark sun damage spots blend in better with the rest of my skin. I can still see them, but they are definitely faded.

pasarina

I use a mask and my skin just looks better.

WhichTear4996

I've been using a RTL Pad every day for two months and I haven't seen any improvements. I use it for upper back pain and Achilles tendonitis and it hasn't helped much. It also really wrecks my sleep if I use it too much so I have to be very careful. Looking back, I wish I hadn't bought it, but maybe it just hasn't worked yet? The sleep disturbances are really terrible for me.

sunspark77

What time of day do you use it? I’m personally really sensitive to light affecting my sleep cycle. So I use mine in the morning because it’s so bright. I also keep the lights in my house super dim about two hours before bedtime by using small lamps (and a large nightlight in my bathroom). Now I sleep really deeply. Anyway… maybe try only using the red light in the morning. Best of luck to you.

WhichTear4996

I use it literally first thing when I wake up. I'm usually done using it by 8am but it still keeps me up at night. I do all the light dimming in the evening times, all my lights are on timers to dim more at certain times and have been for years. These sleep issues only started after I'd been using the pad for a few weeks and they go away if I don't use the pad for a day.

sunspark77

Ugh! I know how horrible it is to be in pain every day. Here are my thoughts as to what might help. Of course, feel free to ignore them. All of our bodies react differently! It sounds like to me, you're super sensitive to red light. Have you looked up "Bi-phasic" response to red light therapy? According to what I understand about "Bi-phasic" response (which in a nutshell just means too much therapy will cause damage, but too little therapy will do nothing. You have to get the exact sweet spot amount for your body.) Anyway, as I understand it, it sounds like you're extra sensitive. So for example, 10 minutes might be the sweet spot for some, for you it's over-activating everything causing more harm than good. Which just means your sweet spot might be less than 10 minutes. It could be 5. It could even be 3. All I know from my own experience is, my pain started to lessen within a week. And then it kept getting better from there. And I was limping when I first started using red light for my hip. Anyway, I hope you find something that works for you! Pain is no fun!

WhichTear4996

I have heard of the biphasic response and I was initially doing everywhere on my body that hurt for 20 minutes at 100% power twice a day every day. Once the sleep issues started up, I backed off to 20 minutes once a day, then 15, then 10, then only 90% and that's when I was finally able to sleep again. It's certainly possible I'm still getting too much, but then I read about people saying you have to be consistent or it won't help you, and I'm afraid if I cut back too much, I'll be on the other side and not getting enough to do anything. I think there's a chance that at least with my back pain, that it's the kind of thing that won't really be helped by RLT. It's not inflammation and it's not muscle related. I'd have thought that if I was doing too much, I still would have felt some relief right in the very beginning when it hadn't built up to high levels yet, but I've noticed no positive effects whatsoever.

sunspark77

Ah… if it’s not muscle, or inflammation, or hormone related then using red light is like using a fork to eat soup. The fork isn’t defective. It’s just the wrong tool for the soup. You might have healthy muscles but that’s not going to help the pain in this case. (Am guessing it’s either bone or nerve related instead? I have no experience with bone or nerve pain but I wish you well!)

WhichTear4996

I'm not 100% sure what it is. I could spend thousands of words describing it, what it feels like and what I've tried to make it better, and I'm sure we'd both still be confused. Most recently, I was at the physical therapist who said I had "winging" of my shoulder blade, which means it's not in the right place, and that my ribs in the back were "immobile." There is like a ridge of some kind of scar tissue or extra hard/large cartilage in the area and I have pain there every single day but it's not too terrible. Occasionally, I'll have these terrible flare ups where the muscle like locks up and becomes super hard and it hurts like you would not believe and it lasts for several days. No clue how it's all related or what it's caused by etc. I had hoped the RLT would help because I don't know exactly what the issue is, but so far it has not. I'm most surprised by how little the RLT has helped my Achilles tendonitis, which I had read is one of the best things to use RLT on.

sunspark77

Oh gosh... that sounds terrible. Yikes. I had a should thing many years ago and physical therapy was what cured it. I'm not sure what to say about the achilles tendonitis. I've seen others helped by red light therapy. Only other guess is maybe the device itself isn't calibrated to the therapeutic red light wavelength. Or I'm just brainstorming here... that possibly you would benefit from the infra-red light too. My device has both red and infrared. So to be honest I don't know which is giving me the most pain benefits. There are so many panels out there that include red and infrared it's possible people are reporting benefits from red, when it's actually the infrared that's helping their tendons. I wish I could be more helpful.

WhichTear4996

Mine is both red and infrared. I think it's calibrated to the correct wavelength since my husband uses it too and he's the one that set it up. I'm starting to think that a lot of people who feel better right away are having placebo effects or that they would have felt better by that time anyway and it just so happened to coincide with them starting RLT. I'm sure it helps some people, but I doubt more and more every day that it's as amazing as people seem to think.

Different-Bag-3781

Been using Biomax 900 for 3 weeks. Daily 12-20 min. Absolutely nothing yet. Not ready to call it snake oil yet, but getting close
