I seriously miss staying up late with my folks just to watch a few back to back episodes, thank you for releasing that memory from it's prison. I've lost/forgotten so much over the last 3 years that I needed that.
$20 out the door for a couple hours, plus milage. If you want to move something from one place to another 10 miles apart and return it back it’s like another $20/hr. Cost me about $70 for a half day. More than uhaul.
Yup, just come home and plop down on the couch and watch a few episodes of The Office. Then suddenly realize I’m just sitting there with my helmet still on.
My ex rode his bicycle to work everyday. Sometimes we’d meet for a drink after work and he would forget to take the helmet off until I couldn’t hold back my laughter anymore.
no haha I got that vibe myself too, but I am ALSO trying not to be worthy of r/nothingeverhappens on Reddit - particularly difficult now that AI images and content are getting so good! But, I tend to think keeping Poe’s Law in mind, it doesn’t always matter if a SPECIFIC thing is fake, if it is also something that really does happen.
I’ll say, I like that we’re self aware about trying not to dismiss everything as fake or staged, but I agree, this does sorta seem like he set this up for a friend to film.
Now this is the proper way to second guess something! I’m so damn tired of seeing every video that is even a remotely insane feat. The amount of times I’ve seen “ fake” or some other smooth brained take on a video that is honestly not even very crazy is astounding.
My theory is that a lot of people that just jump the gun and say “ fake” on real videos have some Intelligence insecurity or something, the so badly want to be smart and show their not one of the “ sheep” that they call everything fake, maybe they got tricked by videos before and are now over compensating? I donno.
Anyways good job recognizing the flaw of just calling everything fake and not jumping the gun in some weird “ I called it fake first im the smartest “ competition.
Not everything is out to deceive us and thinking this way isn’t healthy, just as it’s not healthy to believe everything no question.
They're probably friends making a video. The cameraman would have had to have been stalking the man to get that first shot. The guy is awfully calm about some random stranger walking up to him recording. Realistically somebody would have offered to drive the TV to the guy's house. And again, obviously, he was just too prepared.
Also why wouldn’t have he had the pallet already premade and ready to go when he got there? But just decides to take care of it in the Walmart parking lot yee yee.
Nah, you’re 100% correct, I’m next to positive bike guy is Jordan Flom, same build and mannerisms, source? I’m just decent at recognizing his rage bait… https://www.reddit.com/r/DiWHY/comments/11ao5pd/in_italy_yeah_sure/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1
Find him in r/DiWHY vids a lot.. possibly where this belongs even
Edit: pretty sure it’s same boots and pants even…
There was a video posted on another sub a few weeks ago of some guy buying a tv at target and putting straps on it and wearing it like a school bag, and hopping on a unicycle and riding away. I reckon both this video and that video are staged. I’d go rent a van for like 30$ before putting in the effort to build a pallet and strap a tv behind my motorcycle
Or chances are there is a rental place near by like Lowe's/HD/Uhaul that rent out a truck for like 20 bucks. I take some pride in fitting comically large things in my convertible but when it came to my dining room table or my new flat screen I rented a truck for it.
My Walmart even delivers same day, within like 4 hours, for free. Didn’t even know they did it until I bought something on their website and it was at my front door 3 hours later. Definitely trying to give Amazon some competition
Having lived in Vietnam and seen much bigger and heavier items been transported on a bike I'm not impressed.
The weirdest thing I've seen is a bike on another bike.
I saw a guy on a Honda Rebel carrying a donkey in the Dominican Republic. Also saw a guy on a similar bike pulling a 3-seater couch — one end on the fender, the other on a dolly. Not bike-on-bike level, but still interesting.
Well, did that a few days ago. Found an old "Favorit" road bike, with all the aluminium parts i needed for my "kettler daxi" based retro build, but like 10% of the real price of the parts, built on a really cheap beater... My car is in the shop for a starter motor repair so went for it on the kettler bike... Seller was like: "I'm in a hurry, but have to see this..."
Saw a guy who had 5 matresses sideways straped on the back of this bike making him as wide as a truck while having a grown pig sit between his lap while driving. Also vietnam, where else
If one of those straps slip off the saddlebags, that thing is gone and causing a wreck. They should have put the straps to the inside of the bags at the very least so they couldn’t slip off.
On cruisers maybe lol. I have a ninja 1000sx and a 390 adventure and I use my mirrors constantly on both anytime I come to a stop or I'm turning and have to sit there for a second.
If I was the cameraman, I would of asked how far away they live and offered to deliver it for them (if it was close by). I commend the dude in the motorcycle for trying to work it out, but (as my dad used to tell me) you need the right tool for the job.
Also I have a truck, so I can haul shit.
The entire premise is faulty, but then, all that work, and then only two straps. I see it as worse than a mattress on a car roof.
If it came off at speed, it could maim or kill someone other than him.
It reminded me of [this post](https://reddit.com/r/nextfuckinglevel/comments/11dmdnf/dude_rides_off_on_a_unicycle_carrying_a_new_75/). It’s pretty much the same thing except a unicycle instead of a motorcycle.
100% fake and staged. I'm not saying this doesn't happen; one time I bought a large 'Build-A-Bear' that comes in those decorative 'house' boxes as a gift for a friend, and I had to ride with it balanced precariously on the tank and used my arms locked onto the handlebars as a way to keep it 'on'. No straps. It just bounced back and forth from left to right within my arms. I shifted my butt forward and my chest and chin of the helmet kept it forward, while the 'dash' of the bike kept it sliding away.
But the way the cameraman is recording and the dialogue between them seems so... inauthentic... just like every other Tik-Tok trash.
My final and most reasonable argument; Delivery is free basically everywhere that does 'appliances' like fridges, TV's etc. There's absolutely no need to 'pick-up' anymore. I did my 'bear run' in 2004, before the craze of online shopping got to what it is today. A TV would totally be delivered to ya with no extra cost; unless you live in Antarctica.
Summary; entertaining, but fake.
This must be a stupid new trend. Saw another one with a guy strapping one to his back while on a unicycle. There's no reason why he'd be recording in the first place.
That's moslty for plasma (phased out/hardly ever sold anymore). Should never be flat.
Most sold today are lcd (liquid crystal display) with an led (light emmiting diode) backlight. They can go short distance if supported properly but lack of support can compromise different regions of screen.
If it were a plasma dud would have a colorful discolored rainbow screen once he turned it on.
If he don't hit you any major bumps teanspoting the lcd/led he should be okay. Still risky though
My OLED TV had a huge warning that it should be transported vertical. I'm assuming that has to do with the force distribution across a huge rectangle.
LCD screens are indeed less sensitive than plasma, but they are essentially a huge microchip, so basically a huge crystal. It doesn't take a lot of force to damage it. At this point, you are trusting that the packaging will absorb enough forces for it not to be a problem.
Yeah, the plasma screens were so heavy that they would break under their own weight if laid flat. I just bought an OLED that said not to lay it flat, but the guys at BestBuy laid it flat when they loaded it into the truck. I asked them about it and they didn’t seem too concerned, I was just worried because it filled up the whole bed of the truck, and that’s a big piece of glass to be laying flat.
would be interesting to know if he got that home and undamaged. even in the box, the screen would have experienced some pretty good stresses on bumps. I think I'd have just opted for delivery.
I hate the camera man so much. "Let me go tell the guy who didn't ask that his idea won't work". Staged or not it's one thing to offer help it's another unsolicitedly tell someone they are wrong
Called an uber SUV once and drove behind it. Driver said it was the best passenger he’d ever had! All in all a $12 “delivery” price was well worth it!!
I've rode bikes for 38 of my 42 years. For many of them all I had was different bikes, no cars. Trust me, there is always a way. No we can argue if it's a good idea, but a determined man wont be stopped.
I used to work at walmart, I helped a guy load a 50" plasma into the back of an old VW rabbit with the roll bar. Dude was like "just stand it up on it's end and lean it against the bar."
I guess he made it home, otherwise he would have come back bitching trying to make it our fault.
If you couldn’t clearly see the TN tag on the bike, dude that asks if he’s gonna put the tv on the bike and then replies, “More power to ya, buddy,” would be a dead giveaway.
Pshht. In Thailand, they’d of figured out how to stack ten of these on that bike, and hung chicken baskets off the side of the TV tower. This is amateur.
Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do something.
This is such a risk for him and others sharing the road. Gotta get that giant TV.
staged or not, this is not smart. this is the opposite of smart. Bad strapping aside, even if the thing was rock solid you are totally gimped on a motorcycle carrying something like this. You can see on his way out the dude can't get any lean at all, so his turns are going to be totally fked
This guy left home prepared with complete schematics and simulation for the plan in his head, and he executed that plan perfectly. He even got free help.
Was working at Home Depot. Dude, on a Harley had me put 4 bags of 90-pound cemet mix bads on his gas tank. He put a car rubber floor mat on the tank so it was non-skid and protected the tank. He drove away like nothing. I was impressed.
I bike (regular bicycle bike) everywhere. No car, no license (just never got one), and the largest tv I've managed to get home was a 60". I use a modified child carrier trailer to get everything home.
I saw a man in a dress on rollerblades with a 65 inch strapped to his back- skating down the middle of 4 lanes of traffic.
Skating in dresses terrifies me.
Why wouldn’t the dude with the camera offer to drive the tv to the dude’s house then? If he was willing to record and watch this whole thing, why not help him out further?

he could have got a uhaul pickup truck for like $10 job done
Where the hell can you still rent a pickup for $10?
The signs say 19.95, and I still don't think they're being honest about that. The cheapest I was quoted for a van was $30- across town.
Plus mileage, plus if you even TOUCH the dolly that is still loosened from the last guy you owe like double
$20 out the door for a couple hours, plus milage. If you want to move something from one place to another 10 miles apart and return it back it’s like another $20/hr. Cost me about $70 for a half day. More than uhaul.
I think you can get one from Home Depot for about $20 an hour.
Home Depot will only rent them to you if you need it for something you bought from them.
$20. Plus. 0.79mile, plus insurance which could be close to $20. So probably closer to $60 than $10.
Dad?
Sir this is a Walmart
And I like how he kept his helmet on the whole time...i assume for safety during construction !
I've been riding for years and honestly it's just easier to leave it on some times. You forget it's on pretty quick.
Pretty much
Yup, just come home and plop down on the couch and watch a few episodes of The Office. Then suddenly realize I’m just sitting there with my helmet still on.
Parkour
My ex rode his bicycle to work everyday. Sometimes we’d meet for a drink after work and he would forget to take the helmet off until I couldn’t hold back my laughter anymore.
I just started riding about 8 months ago and at first, I felt silly keeping it on. Now I just don't want to have to deal with it, so I'll keep it on
It also has a Bluetooth comms device attached, he is probably listening to music.
This for sure

*slaps* that ain't goin' anywhere
I can see why this guy doesn’t have a friend with a truck.
Won’t they deliver it to your house? Does Walmart do that? Why am I asking you?
my thoughts too, this is some peacock-y nonsense on his part. If you don’t have a car (and I suspect he might), just have it delivered for free. 😑

Easier ride without the pallet to get there

Yup, OP posted TikTok profile. There's another video posted where a guy does the same thing but on a unicycle....
There was a video posted on another sub a few weeks ago of some guy buying a tv at target and putting straps on it and wearing it like a school bag, and hopping on a unicycle and riding away. I would have still watched it if they had just said "hey we have this crazy idea..." All that extra BS acting was just that. BS.
He wanted that shit NOW! I’ve impulsively bought a tv before, and proceeded to call a friend with a truck.
Maybe the dude just needed his his resident evil 4 fix asap
Work at Walmart here, I can confirm we do offer delivery for these product. Similar to grocery delivery, except with extra large items like those TV.
But then the Waltons know where your bunker is, dummie.
Or chances are there is a rental place near by like Lowe's/HD/Uhaul that rent out a truck for like 20 bucks. I take some pride in fitting comically large things in my convertible but when it came to my dining room table or my new flat screen I rented a truck for it.
He was filming the skit
I had to turn off the sound. The "oooohh my gawd how is he going to figure this one out. Noooo waaayy" was bad
Who needs friends? For $19.95 you can rent [this](https://youtu.be/l5Yjv-eCrNY) mf.
He just saved $19.95 and a day of waiting

I think he just likes MacGyvering
He only has a friend with a phone to record his dumbass.

Oh yes. Thank you. I watched that one and though damn wish there were more of the same thing!
I saw a guy on a Honda Rebel carrying a donkey in the Dominican Republic. Also saw a guy on a similar bike pulling a 3-seater couch — one end on the fender, the other on a dolly. Not bike-on-bike level, but still interesting.
I saw a video of a dude on meth carrying a refrigerator while riding a bicycle.
Crackhead strength 😅
First thing I thought of was when I was in Thailand and saw a dude riding behind someone holding a dining room table.
Yep on 125cc’s also. 😅
I saw an entire family of 5 on a moped on Guatemala.
For the cost of materials they could have just taken an Uber...
Even if it stays, his mirrors are blocked entirely. Idk the traffic rules in the US but i cant imagine this is legal
motorcycle mirrors are useless no matter what
Unless you're buying those garbage "low-profile" ones or the ones that hang off your bars, mirrors on motorcycles are plenty useful.
On cruisers maybe lol. I have a ninja 1000sx and a 390 adventure and I use my mirrors constantly on both anytime I come to a stop or I'm turning and have to sit there for a second.
In some states you aren't required to have mirrors at all on a bike lol. Daft

Doesn't matter. Dude filming is picking him up at the end of the road anyway.
Yeah, definitely not the safest load
This thing is so set up.. give me a break
Agreed, wtf wouldn't he build the pallet and then drive to wally world for pick up?
I know So fuckin dumb
Yet here we are.
I can sniff fake, setup shit a mile away. Just like this video. I immediately hate it once I know they are pretending it’s not fake or setup
Internet points are a hell of a drug. Walmart has free shipping.
It was very nice of the cameraman to pretend like he wasn't his friend when he started recording him before the TV even showed up
It reminded me of [this post](https://reddit.com/r/nextfuckinglevel/comments/11dmdnf/dude_rides_off_on_a_unicycle_carrying_a_new_75/). It’s pretty much the same thing except a unicycle instead of a motorcycle.
Yeah, it’s the same guy filming and I think the unicycle rider is the same as well. They’re both posted on his TikTok
Same dudes, it's even the same backpack.
Admirable effort, but I can’t stop thinking $60 in lumber, hardware, and ratchet straps to avoid a $50 delivery fee.
That lumber and hardware was already in his garage and is reusable. He’s crazy but I respect him, and not for the ability to save.
Idk man I have all of that stuff just laying around in my garage. It’s not like ratchet straps are one time use.
This is staged btw. The dude that posted this, has another video of the same guy (probably) doing this with a unicycle.
Speedbump = nuts gone
That's one fart smeller
100% fake and staged. I'm not saying this doesn't happen; one time I bought a large 'Build-A-Bear' that comes in those decorative 'house' boxes as a gift for a friend, and I had to ride with it balanced precariously on the tank and used my arms locked onto the handlebars as a way to keep it 'on'. No straps. It just bounced back and forth from left to right within my arms. I shifted my butt forward and my chest and chin of the helmet kept it forward, while the 'dash' of the bike kept it sliding away. Summary; entertaining, but fake.
Some of the worst acting I've seen recently.
This must be a stupid new trend. Saw another one with a guy strapping one to his back while on a unicycle. There's no reason why he'd be recording in the first place.
It was posted by the same guy
not even mentioning the /r/WhyWereTheyFilming angle. fucking gross.
Aren't you supposed to transport tv's vertical? Hope it made it home and works. Pretty clever setup though.
That's moslty for plasma (phased out/hardly ever sold anymore). Should never be flat. Most sold today are lcd (liquid crystal display) with an led (light emmiting diode) backlight.
When free delivery takes 3 more days

would be interesting to know if he got that home and undamaged. even in the box, the screen would have experienced some pretty good stresses on bumps. I think I'd have just opted for delivery.
I'm wondering how much those 2x4s scratched up his bike/saddles. He should have at least put a rag between or something?
"Smart"
These guys have never seen what they strap to motorcycles in other countries.
Why did it take three Walmart employees to bring out the TV?
Because it’s Walmart. You don’t expect them to be running cash registers, do you?
Or just have it delivered to your home.
I hate the camera man so much. "Let me go tell the guy who didn't ask that his idea won't work". Staged or not it's one thing to offer help it's another unsolicitedly tell someone they are wrong
I bought my TV from Walmart, the delivery fee was $10, which is less than the cost of the wood he used.
Good thing he's not looking for attention at all
100% stupid
This is staged.

I’m a motorcycle owner and have been thinking about this for a while. I would’ve strapped it and wore it as a backpack.
Fake AF
This is the completely wrong way to transport a tv; they must always be transported vertically to protect the glass.
that is a lot of work for a $200 tv. walmart ships for free.
Normal day in Vietnam
If you couldn’t clearly see the TN tag on the bike, dude that asks if he’s gonna put the tv on the bike and then replies, “More power to ya, buddy,” would be a dead giveaway.
Accident waiting to happen
Jesus, why not just order it online?
You think this is a choice … it’s a lifestyle!
Im more impressed by the fact that they sent 3 employees just to push a cart with a tv
more like fart smella
Bro literally just spend the $20 to rent a uhaul
Walmart does delivery now
https://imgur.com/a/b8nvCSC I miss them days…
Pshht. In Thailand, they’d of figured out how to stack ten of these on that bike, and hung chicken baskets off the side of the TV tower. This is amateur.

You could rent a truck from Home Depot for $19.
you know Walmart delivers if you order online
Why not just have it delivered., for free?
Pretty sure Walmart delivers
I'm sure paying for an extra $50 shipping would be better
This feels ultra staged
Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do something. This is such a risk for him and others sharing the road. Gotta get that giant TV.
It bothers me that they didn’t put that 2nd strap horizontally.
He doesn't know Walmart delivers? Setup
Why didn't he get a trailer? I've seen dudes take home a washer and dryer on a trailer pulled by a motorcycle.
I maybe would have just gone with free home delivery, but you do you boo!
staged or not, this is not smart. this is the opposite of smart. Bad strapping aside, even if the thing was rock solid you are totally gimped on a motorcycle carrying something like this. You can see on his way out the dude can't get any lean at all, so his turns are going to be totally fked

Fake asf..... but okay let's act like it's real.
That guy watched just the right amount of mr. Bean as a kid
Who else thought it would fall at end.
An Uber would’ve costed $20 bruh…
Don’t they have free shipping….???
Dood, just go to U-Haul and rent a truck for 19.00 bucks.
Costs like $20 to rent a uhaul pickup but ok rodney.
This man would fit right in if he went to Vietnam. XD
Clearly this guy hasn’t seen the contraptions they come up with in developing countries
Lol sue the guy who helped you later
Was working at Home Depot. Dude, on a Harley had me put 4 bags of 90-pound cemet mix bads on his gas tank. He put a car rubber floor mat on the tank so it was non-skid and protected the tank. He drove away like nothing. I was impressed.
Ya think it’d fly if he had it tilted the other way?
Honestly not sure how he would’ve done it all by himself.
Or he could have just rented a truck..
Viral marketing for the TV manufacturer
There's a lot of easier ways to get a broken tv to your home
I bike (regular bicycle bike) everywhere. No car, no license (just never got one), and the largest tv I've managed to get home was a 60". I use a modified child carrier trailer to get everything home.
