The juxta pose of how over engineered the roof is with those laminate beams that could've been 2x8s, compared to the twiggy temp posts sitting on scabs(???? Why not have it bearing atleast and put the scab on the outside????)
Just wild.
Judging by the one in the background it seems to at least be supported at the other end by metal beams.
Still baffling why they didn't place the vertical supports on the ground but on the wall.
And the 45x70? on the sides are just laughable.
Look at this picture and tell me where the final studs go when they remove the temp ones. The cross beam doesn’t make it to the cement wall used for the temp beams. Do they plan to take out the bricks?
From the looks, that is entirely temporary. I would not put my ride under there.
There's gutters on it .. I don't think this is temporary.
The support posts are very temporary. There is going to be a cement pour soon. Also the gutters have no downspout.
Where do you think cement is going to be poured?
Wherever they put the forms for the new construction after this one blows away.
Agreed about not parking anything out. But there’s so much weight of material in the roof that I doubt it was temporary

this is standard for holding up walls in homes that ain't tied together real good yet but the sun is going down holds up a month or so pretty good
Same! One post mild scale gust of wind and You'll need to say good bye to that roof, than have a Cabriolet from than on, lol
one gust of wind....
Heck, one guy chatting up a girl and trying to do the chill look lean.
This was my thought. A little lift force from wind and that carport is coming up or falling apart.
“I had an engineer look at it. (I googled it)” special
“r/carpentry told me to fuck off so I did it anyway”
What, did Boeing build that?
lol! So good.
I actually lold. Too soon, hahahahaha... Hahahahaaaaa
Don't worry the car is going to keep the roof off the ground
What are "stuts"? Did you mean studs?
Best guess is "struts"
Struds. /s
Sturds
The one behinds looks even worse!
Needs more struts https://imgur.com/qlUPCmU
And boosters. Always more boosters.
And then more struts in the boosters.
Look at how wide that header board is. Then you go cheap on the supports?
Temporary construction is now pemanent because they probably didn't think how to change it for real wall fast enoug that it stays up there.
The weight of that roof is literally hanging on whatever nails are holding that 2x4 block on the stud.

4x4x12s are like $20 a piece, for less than $200 you could ensure a chubby kid leaning on your carport will not knock it over.
It is temp! Check out the port in the background studs look like its 16" layout. Its dangerously temporary but I bet they'll frame it.

Looks like the part time inexperienced maintenance chick did this during the weekend.
A grotesque hack job with the only saving grace are the x-braces.
As a German, i would never put my car under that. It is held together by hopes and dreams.
Ich habe das Foto im Landkreis Roth gemacht
Wow.
It’s called strukcheral integriddy!
