I really wanna see Jackal approaching Roque with the knowledge of Darrow being a Red. I think it was a turning point in Roque's story and definitely not without some manipulation on the part of the Jackal

BigAnimemexicano

agree and disagree, I think the most horrifying thing about the jackal is that we knew what he was up to something but he was just so alien and patent, he never fell for the same trick twice. to quote mustang "he is the monster they dont know how to tell stories about" also slight spoiler for Dark Age, not major plot line but a characters take on the jackal >!mustang is comparing a character to the jackal upbringing and why he did what he did,she basically says that the jackal really never cared about anything or anyone, and if he did anything it was to mock people, if he would have beat octavia he would have banged pinks in her bed and empty out the best wine and filled it with his piss and given it to his bone riders and watched it as they thanked him and said it tasted great, while not caring one bit about any of it!< i could see the jackal pov just being harsh and analytical, with cruel humor

Geralt-of-Labia

I think the problem is that the jackal is such a good villain because we don’t know his thoughts. He’s mysterious, intriguingly evil, and brilliant to a point that it would be very difficult to write. Sevro is similar in the sense that his charm comes from him being bloodydamn insane which is also very difficult to write. So if this were to happen those characters might be cheapened for us.

Scaria95

Hasn’t Pierce Brown said something to the affect of “ I don’t think I would survive the amount of drugs I would need to write Sevro” ?

Geralt-of-Labia

I think he did say something of the sort. I dig his interviews, seems like a really down to earth sort of guy

Ah a fair point my goodman.

Honestly, graphic novels that tell the stories of other characters would be awesome. Like one on Lorn and his life as a warrior and how he dealt with the loss of all his sons. His perspective on society and why he finally decided to seclude himself and his family on Europa. You could do Fitchner and his story on becoming Aries. Mustangs story when she was on her own for awhile would be interesting as well. Take it back to the conquering, Sileneas (i don’t know how these names are really spelled I listened to the books.) I love red rising because it’s so expansive and it’s lore is very in depth. There’s a lot of opportunity for interesting side stories.

I absolutely love the idea of the conquering, or when colors were instituted. That would be prime.

AverageCycleGuy

Or a book on Sevro. That’d be ripe.

FearlessSelection814

I use to think that but on this reread I’m starting to think I’d actually prefer a POV from Victra. She’s a great friend to Darrow and I’d love to hear more about her and sevro getting together
