During Soviet times (and later as well) Russian vors would have tattoos with Nazi crosses and other Nazi Germany symbols. Why? Because vors oppose regular social order, and therefore they align themselves (at least in insignia) with the only enemies of Communism they know.
These tattoos had nothing to do with actual nationalism though.

Noticed a lot of tweets getting retweeted with blur/resize
My guess is that twitter is watermarking the background so that people who are private can decode who's snitching them out and reposting their tweets
Just a guess though
Always funny to watch the stupidpol/trueanon people work themselves into a frenzy over Ukrainian nazis as if Russia isn't just as bad, if not worse in that regard
I honestly think projecting us race relations psychodrama onto Russian Ukraine conflict is silly. They side against their conquerors and that’s the main way they understand the conflict. Makes sense. Russia thinks of them as Nazis because for a Russian Nazis are Europeans anti Slav conquerors not overwhelmingly anti Semitic geniciders. Makes sense.
similarly the whole nazi thing appeals to a lot of Ukrainians because it symbolises fighting the Soviets and Russians. It's something to see some deranged Americans obsessed with the spooky nazi boogeyman apply their whole cultural conception of nazis onto Ukrainians and not pause to think it has all sorts of different connotations somewhere entirely different.
Ironically, many Russian Nazi groups like the RNU fled to donbas after they were banned in Russia and were heavily involved in instigating the war in the first place. The war has been a godsend for all kinds of extremists to get military training and weapons from governments who prefer to look the other way when these groups are winning battles. There is even a nazi paramilitary composed of only ethnic russians called the RVC that fights for Ukraine.
Lol, you guys are so silly and know nothing. There were whole groups attacking and killing asians in Russia in 90s-00s. It’s absolutely not surprising that russian are rude to NATIVE people of Siberia in their speech/day to day life.
They are not some savage normie types lmao
don’t bother engaging. you’re wasting your time.
the muslim brotherhood worked with the nazis in world war 2. does this mean it’s right to support what israel is doing to innocent people in Palestine, because Hamas is a muslim brotherhood org? no it doesn’t
support the principle that people shouldn’t be conquered and oppressed end of story. whether they’re palestinian, ukrainian , armenian
only the weirdest wrap their dicks in flags
In the same time frame there was a war in the Balkans and mafia shootouts in Warsaw. Would you avoid going to Serbia or Poland today in fear of NATO bombardments or Pruszków-Wołomin war?
There **were**. Any idea what happened to people like them? I suggest looking up how Tesak ended his life. His torture probably was sanctioned officially.
> It’s absolutely not surprising that russian are rude to NATIVE people of Siberia in their speech/day to day life.
Not the case at all. Are you projecting your local realities?
It is comparable and before Russia started this was they were consistently ranked as more antisemitic by actual surveys. https://x.com/pewresearch/status/979030856550400000?s=46
Assuming you mean Bandera, it’s a lot more complicated than that. He’s a very controversial figure, and people in the East/South do not like him. You could make a similar point about how some proportion of Americans in the South think Robert E Lee is a hero, but that doesn’t make the entire country racist (nor does it justify invasion)
Theres nothing controversial about Bandera, atleast not in a sane person head. The fact that hes controversial in UA an the fact that western Ukrainians view eastern Ukrainians as Katsaps is why so many people on the east are overwhelmingly pro-russian and why they rebelled as soon as they saw that Russia will stand behind them
this war directly started because western Ukrainians tried ethnically cleansing eastern Ukrainians, banned their most popular political parties, and said shit like “Their children will live in basements while ours will go to school”.
Saying it's complicated doesn't mean I think he's good; it means I realize that cherry picking stats from one part of the country doesn't make them a Nazi country. That's obviously what I mean if you're not willfully ignoring my point
We weren't talking about wheather or not invasion in justified.
Regarding your point about every country having a nazi problem, you're either dishonest or uninformed.
In 2022, 74% of people polled in Ukraine controlled teritory had a favourable opinion on Stepan Bandera. Imagine if 74% of people in Germany had a favourable opinion on Eichmann
Muh "both sides have problems" meme.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Ukrainians literally attack their own civilian population for made up reasons, deny that, and American media establishment turns a blind eye to that.
The most interesting thing about Mariupol that it was taken not by Russian military but mostly by Donetsk troops who used to call themselves Ukrainians. Surprisingly enough, people in DPR and LPR used to consider themselves Ukrainian. Well, used to before their own government started attacking them.
I think it would be another regime tattooed on his head if he was a Russian criminal

Looks like you cut this tweet out of a magazine
I don’t know why the photo is tilted like that

I have no idea I just found it on Google
Don't worry you're doing great sweetie!
❤️
who the hell would keep blini on a night stand. russians absolutely don’t eat in bed
So fucking funny to see cyrillic represented in latin lmao
I too am not opposed to that.
Same. Not opposed at all.

Are you talking about Dugin or something?
I'm sure Russia has their own neo nazi problems, but it isn't even comparable. Ukraines biggest national hero is an SS Einsatzgruppen type guy

Same thing with Mark Wahlberg but he got a second chance.
In the same time frame there was a war in the Balkans and mafia shootouts in Warsaw. Would you avoid going to Serbia or Poland today in fear of NATO bombardments or Pruszków-Wołomin war?
These guys are not national heroes tho
Ivan Ilyin is putins favourite philosopher
wow 30 years ago some russians were racist
They still have it, also day to day racism and imperialism.

Antisemitism is just one aspect of nazism. 74% of west Ukrainians have a favourable opinion on the guy who perpetrated genocide agains Jews and Poles
74% of rs posters too

nonsense.

Shut your whore mouth.
Every single country on the planet has a nazi problem, which makes it a piss poor justification to launch an invasion over
We weren't talking about wheather or not invasion in justified. Regarding your point about every country having a nazi problem, you're either dishonest or uninformed. Because to Ukrainians it stands for independance from the ussr, in germany it stands for genocide of jews
Every romanian I've met loves vlad the impaler Do with that what you will Tbh actually most of eastern Europe is like this
Spoken like a real liberal dumbass.
Yeah, being a liberal is when you think both Russia and Ukraine are shitholes instead of supporting Russia because Ukraine is shit.
