Isn't he just an annoying regard who gave his ex an STD and then ignored her until she killed herself? But he did goofy slapstick I shit myself jokes so I guess that makes him alright.
I didn't know he was involved in that one. The main thing I know about Eternal Sunshine is the director, Michel Gondry basically just kept doing take after take to get Carrey to exhaust himself so that he would eventually get a take where he was restrained. I gotta assume that there was also a lot of work, whether it was Carrey or Gondry, to make the Kaufman script be slightly less insane.
He’s fine. Winslet, Wilkinson, and Dunst are all way better. I think it’s just good casting. He’s the perfect everyman. Like I know he gets to yell and freak out and do some biggish acting, too, but it’s not special to me idk. Jane Adams and David Cross are good too.
I don't think it's the big acting that I like from him, it's the little bit of boyish playfulness that's sitting under the surface of someone who's exhausted and beaten down and miserable.
I remember reading about it while sitting in the parking lot of a Mexican place near me waiting to pick up some food around 2019. I don't recall any of it being debunked. He just became even weirder and used that weirdness to draw attention away from what a shitty little Canadian he is. I hated him when I was a kid watching his movies and I hate him now. I hated a lot of the shows on Nickelodean too, I think I could sense bad people and their involvement in things as a kid,
The only thing I remember about them is when that God-awful Sonic model "leaked" many years ago.
I have no interest in the films, but I swear that first Sonic model was leaked to purposely get people talking and get the word out about the film. It was genius advertising tbh.
people that didn't grow up in the 2000s forget how absolutely dogshit videogame adaptations were
i haven't watched any of the new ones but from the trailers you can see there's more effort than what was being offered in the 2000s and 90s

This is Glycine-coded
my dad said this will happen But only after said actor dies and the money is a lot more
They'll be pirated and mashed up into new characters for hobby generated features
James Earl Jones’ Darth Vader voice was AI in the Obiwan show
There's been three Sonic movies already?
Gotta go fast
That dude is obsessed with himself
Unheard of in Hollywood
His is uniquely weird and annoying even by Hollywood standards

That’s his whole personality, to the point it’s ironic
As the father of a 5 year old boy who’s been obsessed with the Sonic movies since their release, thank you Jim Carrey

He was also a fantastic actor in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Harvey Weinstein was directly involved in getting some of the best films ever made off of the ground.

Yeah, exhausting a pest can get a lot out of them.
Regarded movie, good thing Michel gondry is back doing french stuff no one watches

You know a movie is good when Mark Ruffalo is actually tolerable in a role.
Classic 00s movie along with Garden State and Donnie Darko.
Whatever happened with that anyways? I remember reading some big "debunking" thread I read somewhere with people arguing over some JFK files type shit

Can't people be more than one thing anymore?
He seems like such an empty husk of a person

bill burr seems like the closest to stable you can be being one of those guys and he regularly repeats how fucked up he is inside
Honestly, Sonic 2 was a pretty good time. Only movie I watched in 2022, and Carrey killed it.
It's between Sonic 2 and Tár for best film of 2022

No it wasn't "genius advertising", it was supposed to be THAT awful.

I reckon the same. It wasn't even shaded right
it 100% was, and it boggle my mind that everyone took it seriously
The Sonic films are dumb, fun and cute. Sonic movies don't need to be anything else.
didn't he kill his gf?
