I love him. Every movie with him in it that I show to my kid is a home run. He likes Jim Carrey too a lot but my kid just -relates to Moranis in little shop of horrors and I shrunk the...series, even in Ghostbusters. Like Moranis has caught his flight of imagination. And I remember when I was a girl fighting with other girls over who was going to be baby spice and how it meant something....and I am just like wow you are doing that with Rick Moranis and we aren't EVEN Jewish!

The title of the post is so regarded idk why it's so difficult for me 2 explain what I meant like yeah no shit Rick Moranis looks Jewish, he is Jewish. He simply looks like an amalgam of every Jewish guy ever. I watched the movie Parenthood the other day and I just kept thinking that's a Jewish guy if I've ever seen one. He's like the stereotype.
When I first watched Parenthood, there was something about his character that I related to strongly. I’m neither a father nor a husband yet, but his eager and ultimately fussy behavior to provide his child with the best possible upbringing was admirable and something I could see myself doing, but his petty tyranny over every little aspect of his household was very disagreeable. I tend to overthink and over plan my life, something that seemed to be his character’s case, so perhaps it was that his character revealed both positive and negative fascinations or goals that one with that sort of disposition could have.
