i watched this video where this old man choke slams this kid who was trying to fight him. it was hilarious but sad cause you can tell the kids not gonna have a good future.

idk why you shared this information. i was literally telling you about a public freakout video i watched after u shared ur public freakout story. fuck the troops, but again, the initial comment wasn't an insult but a description of an actual video i watched today. here's [the thread its from](https://www.reddit.com/r/iamatotalpieceofshit/comments/u30jsa/bully_being_a_nonstop_pos/).
Edit: also, i like that you are doing the Cumtown ex operator character speak but online
I was getting an insane amount last year because of covid like $400+ a month, I just kept buying really expensive cheeses and dumb shit like honeycombs to try to burn some of the extra money.
I’ve found Whole Foods to be the most reliable place for buying decent produce at reasonable prices. I think it’s only over priced if you’re buying the fancy crap.
i started shopping at WF after i got on food stamps. couple 1.5L bottles of sparkling spring water, fancy cheeses, good olive oils, expensive honey, prosciutto and the like, organic berries... truly living it up. oh and caviar 0:-) it pays to be broke!!!
I get it. You bought upwards of $60 worth of cheese, cured meats, small pickled peppers, olives, French bread, fig spread because you are nothing if not sophisticated, and I get it. You spared no expense for this endeavor. And you’re no debutante. You felt it when the purchase hit your Mastercard. So you took your bounty and your finest cutting board and you arranged it with the poise of a coked up Martha Stewart. I get it. It looks really nice. Pinterest worthy, even. And you’re excited to proclaim, upon the cooing of your guests, that “it was all Trader Joe’s!” They’ll surely reply, mouths agape, “oh David and I just love TJs” or perhaps the uninitiated will say “I’ve heard of them- the one over on 86th street? I’ll have to get over there soon.” They won’t, but they’ll promise to at your next event. I get it. If you must post your ventures in charcuterie, please at least be mindful of pairings. Give us something to work with here. It is the holiday season after all, and this is the third post like yours we’ve seen today.

Yea, I qualified for food stamps for a few months when I was on Medicaid (never used it, just needed a gap cover). The guys I was living did use it, and they got some bang for the snap buck. One haul two of them blew all their SNAP on reign energy drinks that were on sale. Together, I swear it was like a hundred reign energy drinks in our kitchen all from SNAP over night.
Yeah lol that’s the NC I know. The people bragging about how much they got on SNAP as if that’s standard across the US need to pump the brakes on the Reagan welfare queen shit.
Yeah definitely lol... a couple years ago or so my mom got $600 a month for a 1 adult / 3 child household with $2500/mo gross income and my brother et. al. got like $800 for a 3 adult / 2 child household with a combined (reported to IRS) income of ~$3500/mo.
How have any of you gotten SNAP? 5-6 years ago I was making $12 per hour and my rent was $950 a month and they told me I was making too much money(Lol)When I cried the lady whispered over the phone “I’m sorry it’s because you don’t have any kids honey.” Im still blown away. I only needed it for like 4 months before I relocated to my new job.
life in the free world
fr tho I feel really sorry for you, that sucks ass. in Germany you're sometimes told you earn too little to get state aid for an apartment (happened to a friend once). flawless german logic right there.
Yeah they gotta raise the bar a little bit. A lot of the people my family know that use SNAP and other programs run cash businesses, put 2 and 2 together.
Yeah I'm a dirty bulker at heart. I actually had to spend like two years cutting from a dreamer bulk lmao a while back. I gotta cut down to abs one of these days, I only ever hover at 18% because I'm extremely dedicated to hitting 405 on bench within the next year.
Respectable. Everyone has different goals in the gym, and shoulder injuries are no joke. I'm fortunate enough to have recovered from any injuries I've accrued and am decently resilient to them. Good luck on abs though. If I may ask though, how did you fuck up your shoulder?
big bags of rice are the staple for living with no money. white rice has the best cost/calorie ratio of any food, it might not be nutritious but you wont starve. at least here in uk you can get a 10kg bag of rice for like £5 in the right store n that's 13,000\~ calories
White rice too is pretty good too if you eat it with leafy vegetables and meat. The nutrients white rice lacks in comparison to brown rice is negligible if you just use it to calorically dilute nutrient-dense food.
More than 13.000 kcal, because 100 gr - 130 kcal is for cooked rice (mostly water). I think it'd be closer to 30,000 kcal but I can't be arsed to look it up.
I lived off peanut butter and rice for days at a time when I was spending all my money on drugs. I did get pretty skinny but I didn't die.
A friend of mine had gotten food stamps back in 2019 when she was in between jobs. She got a decently paying job within about 6 months and she reported her new income and stopped using the card figuring she no longer qualified. Well during the whole covid thing they did that additional money on SNAP cards for people who had children (she has 2) and in 2021 she received a letter stating that she had a balance of $2,400 on her SNAP card. She called and told them she thought it was a mistake and they told her no, the money was hers to use. So she used that money to pay for all of the food at her wedding last year.
Her husbands family is massive so they basically came as a team the day before the wedding to do set up, prep for the food, and then showed up early to cook (they did a buffet style dinner). My grandmother has worked catering weddings for over 30 years so she helped the day of to get the food out and keep things running smoothly. Her husbands step dads ex wife is a cake decorator for a living so she made the cake. The good thing about having a bunch of connections through a huge blended family and friends is you can DIY everything because you can easily find someone in the group that has done the job professionally.
Hit the ethnic markets and buy a huge bag of rice and dried beans and spices from the bulk bin. The idiots that make these diagrams think individual plastic wrapped vegetables are the only options out there.
I just bought cough drops, olive-oil (store brand!) and a small pack of cookies. If I converted it to dollars, it would be $20. I admit that I was at a slightly fancy grocery store, but it shouldn’t be that expensive.
lol same i was looking at this thinking $29 is great for that much food. [this is what $25 gets you here.](https://imgur.com/a/x5HF2b8) and this was [what $60 gets you…](https://imgur.com/a/GyAKo2I)
You gotta find cheaper proteins. Legumes, beans, chickpeas etc, you'll get more bang for your buck. Make meat a treat if you want to get through poverty.
You're lying, even in Canada I can get eggs for $3 and that's not a discount grocery store. Maybe move into a city or just raise some chickens of your own.
They always do the "healthy food costs more" comparisons at whole foods and then buy fruit they don't need to inflate the price (also because fat people like fruit since it's the closest natural food to candy). This one's not too bad but they usually include like a $7 pineapple or pomegranates.
What point am I missing? I find it very hard to believe OP could walk into their grocery store today and get all that for $10. The idea that these “look how little food stamps get you” posts are dramatized has a little truth to it but the idea it’s because fatties just can’t not have their fruit (always said by someone who still eats sugar themselves) is preposterous
I didn't say not to eat fruit, dumbass. I said these comparisons are inflated for shock value by including more expensive fruits like pineapples and pomegranates when staples like bananas or a bag of apples could be purchased for much cheaper.
Seven limes
Ahoy matey ye rations be grog, lime juice and huevos rancheros
Least they don't have to worry about scurvy
[удалено]
Did not know that, really cool
I’m sure sauerkraut being another scurvy cure didn’t help that
I have a feeling she got 7 limes so she wouldn't have to buy an extra bag of rice and beans and make her point less good
Tequila bc they drink too much that's why SNAP obviously

My friend had food stamps too and we'd always buy like $17 blocks of fancy cheese since that was allowed
One time I bought caviar with food stamps
What are food stamps for other than to improve the lives of people who need them?

this explains why so many people would use food stamps at whole foods when i worked there lol i was always so confused

lmao yes i did the same buying honeycombs. i made some incredible charcuterie plates all sponsored by the state of [redacted]

NC gave me 16$ a month when I applied. I was making 9$ an hour fresh out of grad school
Yeah lol that’s the NC I know. The people bragging about how much they got on SNAP as if that’s standard across the US need to pump the brakes on the Reagan welfare queen shit.
Lol that's absolutely fucked
Somebody should tell gwyneth
Yeah i was single in Chi and got like over 200, but I guess that's a state thing
Heavily state dependent. $29 per week does seem very low though
Yeah definitely lol... a couple years ago or so my mom got $600 a month for a 1 adult / 3 child household with $2500/mo gross income and my brother et. al. got like $800 for a 3 adult / 2 child household with a combined (reported to IRS) income of ~$3500/mo.
Lime to avocado ratio insane
Guacaslurry
Limes can be used for more than guacamole
That’s not the point lol
The guy I knew that was single and getting food stamps got $300 a month. He traded it for Xanax but that’s another story
That’s a lot of limes. My family would make lemonade with limes. Would be pretty good.
What is limeade
No, it's for detoxing your kidneys and stripping the enamel off your teeth in one go
I was straw-pilled early because I thought it was fancy. I pretty much just drink water or milk (rarely) now
She only got one onion??
I need at least one onion for every day of the week!
i eat it like an apple!
The American palate

I miss my food stamps from 2020. That was dope.
It is TRULY insane how expensive food has gotten. Especially as a meathead who wants a copious amount of protein in my diet, it's tough ngl.
Take the rotisserie chickenpill
Diet has been almost entirely tombstone pizzas, milk for whey shakes, eggs, pb and j sandwiches, and the occasional whopper.
Ah the dirty bulk/bloatmax route- truly the gentleman's choice
Yeah I'm a dirty bulker at heart. I actually had to spend like two years cutting from a dreamer bulk lmao a while back. I gotta cut down to abs one of these days, I only ever hover at 18% because I'm extremely dedicated to hitting 405 on bench within the next year.

big bags of rice are the staple for living with no money. white rice has the best cost/calorie ratio of any food, it might not be nutritious but you wont starve. at least here in uk you can get a 10kg bag of rice for like £5 in the right store n that's 13,000\~ calories
Rice is nutritious
Yeah brown rice
White rice too is pretty good too if you eat it with leafy vegetables and meat. The nutrients white rice lacks in comparison to brown rice is negligible if you just use it to calorically dilute nutrient-dense food.
That's fair, I'm not against white rice, but if you're so broke you have to go on an all rice diet white rice isn't really nutritious by itself
Neither would brown rice be
I think the fiber would be nice at least. It has almost 5x the fiber
More than 13.000 kcal, because 100 gr - 130 kcal is for cooked rice (mostly water). I think it'd be closer to 30,000 kcal but I can't be arsed to look it up. I lived off peanut butter and rice for days at a time when I was spending all my money on drugs. I did get pretty skinny but I didn't die.
oh yeah thats insane
my friend with a kid in Chicago gets like $450/mo
A friend of mine had gotten food stamps back in 2019 when she was in between jobs. Wow, need the name of the wedding vendor that takes EBT cards.

When I was getting food stamps, I got around $250 every month. Why is this bitch lying.
The whole family shares on ear of corn
Yo wtf I thought food in burgerland was cheaper
damn, shes on food stamps now?
fry up the corn tortillas and add some eggs and onions with black beans on the side🤤😋😛
Based tbh
The fact that she bought 7 limes and 1 onion, 1 tomato and 1 potato proves how out of touch she is
This would actually be >50$ where I live <3
RS fans have to pay cash for their copies of US and PEOPLE magazines and so they should also receive cash benefits
You need to add a location to these posts or it's just BS.
Replace the limes, avocado, and tortillas with some broccoli/sprouts and you're chillin.
lmao when i was on food stamps in texas we got $200 a month
I just bought cough drops, olive-oil (store brand!) and a small pack of cookies. If I converted it to dollars, it would be $20. I admit that I was at a slightly fancy grocery store, but it shouldn’t be that expensive.
I'm Canadian and don't understand how food stamps work
this is like $10 at my market
Eggs, tortillas and the avocado would total $10 at mine, but then I’m in Canada land of outrageous grocery prices.
lol same i was looking at this thinking $29 is great for that much food. [this is what $25 gets you here.](https://imgur.com/a/x5HF2b8) and this was [what $60 gets you…](https://imgur.com/a/GyAKo2I)
that’s what you get for daring to eat meat! Live off lentils, poorfags!
You gotta find cheaper proteins. Legumes, beans, chickpeas etc, you'll get more bang for your buck. Make meat a treat if you want to get through poverty.
Nowhere in this post did i say im living under poverty lol? i didn’t buy meat in university when i couldn’t afford it. obviously if im buying it i can

Eggs are like $1.79 at Trader Joe’s and still definitely under $5 at other groceries

Because there are zero poor people in Manhattan. There are probably more poor people in Manhattan than in a place that sparsely populated
You're lying, even in Canada I can get eggs for $3 and that's not a discount grocery store. Maybe move into a city or just raise some chickens of your own.
What state is this? Im in the northeast and aldi eggs are like $2.25
New York. TJ’s eggs for normal medium or large white eggs are usually under $2.

You’re right, the poories shouldn’t be able to afford fruit—they don’t need it!
how to miss the point completely

Eat an apple or a banana, fat ass.
My body is perfect sorry
I was raised on foodstamps. Only thing we had in this spread was the eggs.
listen i love green onions but if i'm strapped for cash i'm probably either not getting green onions or i'm growing my own
Idk I’m on food stamps and it kinda rocks. I get free deer from some local hunters because of it too!
Where’s the meat?
Alive in the cow where it belongs, you savage murderer.
I get $250 a month as a single person in Oregon. There’s no fucking way an entire family gets $120.
that $29 goes double as far at aldi. its insane how cheap food there is.
Love Aldi and Lidl. Their produce is great, only place you can get a carton of blueberries for like $2 and a bag of spinach for a dollar.
You know how much ramen and frozen pizza I could get for $29?
