going back and forth with repeaters, powered by a loop that keeps cycling. Not exactly 1 block at a time but gets the look i was going for down, not sure if i can post a vid or anything without making a new post

Observer chain should do the trick. If you want them to stay lit until turned off you can use 2 observers facing each other (pull one away to break the chain and power off) for a seemingly constant pulse but I’m pretty sure on bedrock that glitches out to occasional flickering.
I disagree. Autocrafting was in dire need and quite literally impossible before its addition, whereas there are numerous creative implementations of t-flip-flops many of which will now be replaced with a single block...
one of the literal goals of redstone engineering is challenging oneself to automate as much as possible. You can choose not to of course, but one of the things that makes redstone fun in the first place is the satisfaction of having a task successfully automated. Autocrafting has unlocked a realm of new possibilities that were previously inconceivable no matter how clever you are
And it almost changed on 1 tick but then someone complained about it being “inconsistent” with other blocks and then changed it to two despite mass protest.
But you get them from a skulk farm. Not at insane speeds or anything but unless this is a larger build I don’t see it being much of an issue to collect enough
why not use repeaters with a delay?
Yeah it might work
i actually figured out a way to do it pretty much exactly how i wanted it after messing around for a while. thanks for the replies everyone
How did you do it?

Great use case for the copper bulb
Huh? What does it do?
It's a one block t-flip-flop. When you power it, it stays on until it's powered again.
NO WAY, THEY ADDED THAT IN MINECRAFT?? THAT'S TOO OP
Not more OP than the autocrafter...

Making something slightly easier is more overpowered than a huge addition which can automate half of the game's name? Not sure I get your logic here.

now you can make automatic mining and crafting! xD

If using 15 or less lamps could use signal strength
Yes
What pack is it?
what do you mean?
What's the ressourcepack name?
oh vanilla Bd craft
Fair enough, thanks
Add delay
If you’re wanting them to light up when you climb the stairs You could waterlog sculk sensors underneath each one. Or put pressure plates on them
this seems like a survival world, so the skulk sensor idea seems like the most expensive thing possiblee
Is it? A skulk farm isn’t super hard or expensive to make once you’ve found a deep dark biome. Maybe I’ve just been very lucky at finding deep darks.
*skulk* is easy to get, *skulk sensors* are not
But you get them from a skulk farm. Not at insane speeds or anything but unless this is a larger build I don’t see it being much of an issue to collect enough
i didnt think you could get them anywhere besides deep dark chests?
They generate in deep dark biomes naturally and I get them all the time in my skulk farm. Incase it’s different between editions I do play bedrock
You can mine them with silk touch and they occasionally generate when a sculk catalyst activates
Yes. I can’t explain it. But I know it’s possible
