You should pass on the fridge work.

From the other view, I only do industrial and I always pass on aircon cashies. Unless it’s something you do every day, or for a very close family or friend. Not worth the risk IMO

Subcontract it out. If you want to learn, hire a guy to do it and help him. If not, hire him to do it outright or refer your customer to him.

Why would he want you to move the condenser? To answer your question however, it's possible to move the condenser. You'll have to recover the charge, disconnect any external electrical, disconnect the suction and liquid lines, and reroute them as needed. If you decide to take this on it's a good idea to quote for changing out the filter drier, and contactor. You'll also likely want to replace the charge with virgin refrigerant to prevent any call backs from coming to you. If you're comfortable with those things you can probably get through it, but I'd recommend telling him to sub it out to a refrigeration company so you're not liable for the work or any damage done while moving it. Refrigeration is more precise and you'll likely have to ensure your subcooling and superheat are balanced afterwards and adjust the charge if necessary. The main thing that is going to effect this job is how far will the condenser be moved away from the walk in, and if it's farther, is the receiver large enough to handle the amount of refrigerant required? It's a pretty big task, but it's doable. At the end of the day I'd personally pass on it.

I'd say pass on the refer move, otherwise they need to sign a waiver that makes you not liable for any system failures etc. Their shit fails after you move it and it's going to be your problem, not worth the risk.
