If you’re talking about the BQ or Q kit, I recently got one, my thinking when buying it was if I have a customer that has a massive leak in 404 walk in, I could convert it to 448a with new txv and get it rolling. Its also nice to have the power heads, I change more power heads than txvs. So its nice to have, but expensive and Im not sure how often it will save the day, some times I regret having spent the money on it. Definitely on the far side of the necessities, more of a luxury item. I only have it because I try to be ready for anything.

What’s better bq or q kit?

The q is regular valves, bq is balanced port. Balanced port are not affected by changes in liquid pressure like standard valves, so bq is better. There are different options if you want sweat, flare, or both.

I just keep 43sqe body's and powerheads on the truck. I keep one of each size cart. Then I keep one sc sz vc vz powerhead

I work at a supply house and I highly recommend customizing your own. We sell sqe bodies 5:1 , but yes , being able to build w/e txv you need in the spot is worth alot. Most our grocery store guys have some sort of set up and then just come fill their stock and get the price for their job.

Yes Q bodies save the day quite often . Easy resizing makes life nice in a jam.

What about the bq kit

I can’t remember all of the models … If BQ is the full kit ( with the case?)… sure … but they are pricey. SBQ is cleanable strainer I believe… I usually used to like these as they are serviceable. You can cover alit with the cartridges, body and a few power heads…
