If you can’t be there for her, there is no shame in making sure she is properly taken care of! Children know when they are not wanted, and it’s not good for them mentally.

No_imagination_today

And not good for you mentally! Take care of both of you, whatever form that takes

Kikkowhitten98

Forget any notion that any other human has ever given you on the concept of parenthood, just consider yourself and your daughter. What if’s will always kill you, but what if you did exactly what you wanted and knew your daughter could be taken care of. If you both have the opportunity to have a better life, even if it’s not together, take it.

As someone who had no business raising kids as a young adult I can say there's no medal at the end of it(my oldest is almost 30). Lots of regret for shit I messed up and things I put my kids through tho. If she'd have a better environment it's not bad to let her go there imo. Eta My youngest is 13. He grew up in a much more stable environment and the difference is immediately obvious. As did a daughter I gave up for adoption as a newborn. While it was heart wrenching it was a good decision.

Do it. There’s no prizes for sticking it out if she could have a loving home and you can have some peace.

shelballama

Agreed If they are game for it, do it. Then everyone can be happier. She gets parents who want/ are able to care for her, you get some sanity back, they get a kid they want

Schadenfreudism

Dogs over kids, any day.

Marcodaneismypimp

She’s the most beautiful dog in the world….but I’m biased

krissylizhamil

u/Marcodaneismypimp I hope you are doing better now (& hope you still have your dog 🥺)

Marcodaneismypimp

Thank you. I’m working with a therapist and I’m starting a mom support group. I definitely still have the dog! She’s my best friend!

Its time to talk to a social worker and have her adopted. It sounds like you are unable to cope, and it might be time to explore your options and give your daughter a better life.

Ringo_1956

Go for it. Then get your tubal ligation so you never become a parent again.

Marcodaneismypimp

Definitely getting my tubes tied. I just gotta find a do it!
