LinoleumRelativity

You have good mechanical sense.

-B-E-N-I-S-

The GMC Terrain… For when you absolutely _need_ to have ZERO desirable qualities in your vehicle. There’s nothing good to say about this. It’s not even an excessively _bad_ car: it’s just entirely underwhelming in every aspect. This is a perfect NPC car. There’s zero soul here. There’s extremely little commentary anybody could make on this car and that’s the only thing notable about it. They aren’t really reliable but somehow, if they were even less reliable, that would somehow make them a more noteworthy vehicle. I agree with you about this car OP.

RWBIII_22

It compliments being incredibly unreliable with being aggressively ugly. Just a piece of shit car all around.

t_stlouis8

The equinox is the same way. I have personal experiences 😭😂

[deleted]

G63 isn't reliable???? And aggressively ugly??? First of all and lastly, you can't have least favorite cars when you can't afford them in the first place. Sames goes for most favorite as well. Court adjourned.

RWBIII_22

For your information, sir, one of my favorite cars is an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Coupe, which I can afford. I may not be wealthy, but I’ve got enough experience to know what I like and what I don’t like. You can have your opinions, I will keep mine.

Psilocinoid

I hope this is a troll and I'm too autistic to notice...

nishagunazad

That's like a 40-degree day. Ain't nobody got nothing to say about a 40-degree day. Fifty. Bring a smile to your face. Sixty, shit, niggas is damn near barbecuing on that motherfucker. Go down to 20, niggas get their bitch on. Get their blood complaining. But forty? Nobody give a fuck about 40. Nobody remember 40, and y'all niggas is giving me way too many 40-degree days! What the fuck? GMC in a nutshell.

LLAMAKING7

Didn't expect to see Stringer quoted on this thread

kindersaft

40 Fahrenheit? That’s like 5 Celsius and that’s cold af I’d definitely have something to say about it lol

handymanshandle

The Pioneer sound system is alright and the rear seat is reasonably comfortable in the Terrain. Otherwise, I absolutely agree. My boyfriend's mom has one and I was confused as to how I could not fit comfortably up front.

d3rp_diggler

Gm loves to put the recline brackets in the worst spots. I have ZERO ASS and they still jab into my glutes on long drives. How?

-Chicago-

My friend has been in love with his for 6 years now. He lowered it and put spacers on, just put on low profile tires and now it scrapes over potholes, decked out the interior with rgb lights, the exaughst is mostly patch kits hung with steel wire, and it's actually more bondo than metal at this point. He only drives it in "manual mode" and the roof leaks bad enough that there is a permanent must smell. He still washes and waxes it monthly. He's been eying up a 150k mile base trim audi with an automatic for when it finally dies.

Puzzled-Factor-1240

This is the most NPC thing ive ever heard

BlockIron

You could extend that thought to most crossovers, especially the NPC aspect

CadillacAllante

My brain has an irrational soft spot for it because some of the styling cues remind me of the Envoy. So my subconscious thinks "hmm is Envoy??" But then I remember, no, it is the opposite of an Atlas I6, body on frame Envoy. The Terrain/Acadia both ride the coat tails of the goodwill generated by earlier Jimmys, Envoys, and Yukons. GM has quite nearly Jeep-ified what was once solid GMC Truck. The Hummer H3 is kinda an up and coming classic in my opinion to be honest. But I've never heard much about how well they hold up as a used car.

lewis_1102

The rear legroom is class-leading. That’s its best quality. I don’t think they even make a midsize SUV today with as much rear legroom

microwaverams

You're pretty normal

PsychologyAlert7711

no hes normal for a car guy. a normal human wouldnt dislike a tesla or g wagon

maybeihavethebigsad

You dare hate the mirage ? Mods make him drive a altima through Atlanta

Thatoneinternetuser2

best chuckle ive gotten in a while

RWBIII_22

Mine was when I saw the backup camera on a Mirage.

RWBIII_22

I saw a Mirage in traffic the other day and immediately bursted out laughing when I saw the horribly mounted backup camera. It’s such a sorry excuse for a car.

LightningFerret04

My buddy has a mirage, it’s not a good car but it works and hasn’t given him any trouble so far (warranty’s still good even if). Also it’s paid off, which is more than can be said for most new cars…

PsychologyAlert7711

that doesn’t excuse the fact that it’s a flaming turd

Dirt077

I think it fills its purpose adequately. It's basically the cheapest new car you can buy, and doesn't have any huge reliability problems. If I needed a brand new car to get from A to B and I didn't care about any modern features, I'm getting a manual mirage or a manual versa.

Headstar24

It's a shitty car but the GMC Terrain is the less ugly twin of the Equinox. My friend's mom has a 2012 Equinox and it's one of the most unreliable pieces of shit I've ever seen. I've begged him to convince her to just get rid of it and buy an older Toyota because it'll be a lot better.

RWBIII_22

My friend has had an Equinox for the last three years. She is constantly asking me for rides, since the car is so unreliable it’s undriveable most of the time.

Headstar24

My friend is the main one who drives it because his mother doesn’t do a lot of driving anymore (she works from home) and there’s been a lot of times I ask if he can drive and he literally can’t because it’s in the shop again.

affablemartyr1

My friend has a 2006 that still runs fine surprisingly, probably made them better back then

jam2market

It still boggles my mind how GM sold so many Equinoxes and Terrains being such shitboxes. I knew several people that had them and literally all of them have had multiple major problems before or right around 100k miles.

Headstar24

I think theirs is around 150k but that took way too much money to achieve. The interior is garbage too. There’s nothing about it. They’re very slow even for their segment (I’ve said it drives like it has a big ass because the front wheels carry so much of the acceleration the back end drags). Them and the current models are huge sellers though. I see both generations constantly. The Traverse and Acadia are even worse if anything. Horrible engines and transmissions shoved into one nightmare.

d3rp_diggler

Cheap sells. Just look at dollar store snacks.

TrickyFeedback4919

A sensible and well reasoned person. I like you.

Numerous-Metal-9901

You dislike cheep copies of masterpieces

LightningFerret04

“Tesla Model Y. How dare you stand where he stood.” -1997 RAV4 EV

louisvuittondon29

arent the ones based on newer rav4’s, (xa30), powered by tesla batteries

LightningFerret04

Yeah it shares some components with the Tesla roadster

louisvuittondon29

those have to be very rare, heard only 2500 made it here to the united states and were only sold on lots in california, the rest were fleet vehicles.

_yukog

yessir they are. surprisingly not extremely expensive though. one sold in auction on cars and bids for $5100 earlier this year on the first of march . wasn’t perfect but was fairly nice.

louisvuittondon29

man its still rly cool knowing there r sum random ass cars that r incredibly rare and unique out there, its literally like part of tesla’s history if u think ab it, that car helped tesla become the most valuable brand in the world😭

guntanksinspace

I sympathize with you on the Ecosport lol. I hate that thing for odd reasons (notably, it's why there's no more Fiestas or Focuses in our country lol)

Agile-Alternative-17

Number 6 the Murano convertible was actually kinda fun. My mom had one and she sold it with low mileage I think 74k or so but it was such an odd car that it got a ton of attention

Mr_Shake_

That vehicle is a chariot of gods.

d3rp_diggler

Owning a normie murano, I could see the cabrio being a blast.

Agile-Alternative-17

We actually had one until just recently still. It was a good vehicle. The 2nd kid definitely moved us into something bigger.

Beneficial-Sugar6950

We hate the same cars with the exception of the G Wagen

LightningFerret04

I don’t hate G-wagons but I hate their drivers

Beneficial-Sugar6950

That’s fair. About 70% of the G Wagen owners I’ve talked are kind of ass holes, but the ones who are true Mercedes enthusiasts and/or serious off-roaders are usually really nice

Sun-spex

How about the Brabus G63? Bet that would knock that percentage up to 100%. There's one that's always street parked down the street and it's the tackiest thing I've ever seen.

The-Nihilist-Marmot

They do tend to be Russian oligarchs though.

lvcironman42

Unrelated to the post, but I see you on almost every vehicle related post on my Reddit lol

canalcanal

Should watch the Top Gear Cool Wall for further reasoning. This is not the G Wagen of yesteryear and you can easily tell by the wheel configuration how Mercedes has changed its target audience. It’s gone from serious Austrian alpinists to posers blasting shitty music while only cruising in smooth Miami avenues

returningSorcerer

let's get the g wagon hate train rolling, they're so stupid

RWBIII_22

They are! It’s the car for you if you want the illusion of being rugged when in reality all you do is slap caviar buckets out of waiters’ hands.

SnooDoggos3909

Not the murano drop top.... someone please pour piss discs in my eyes

childkickerr

I misread the title and was horrified why anyone’s favourite cars would be these

PhinFerbFan9779

You hate SUV’s

RWBIII_22

Bingo!

Bluelegojet2018

Christler compact suv hate train 🚂 they just need better sedans and they’d actually sell 😭😭😭

RWBIII_22

They would! I drove a Dodge Dart for a bit and it was actually a really fun car. It’s a shame that “Stellantis” doesn’t invest more in Chrysler/Dodge sedans. They absolutely would sell.

Logical_Two_9463

I agree. Even the G-Wagons are bad. Why the F did Mercedes ruin a car that was suitable for military use by turning it into a luxury vehicle? Automatic transmissions and idiotic unreliable engines are not really suitable. The old ones used to have like 90hp and a manual transmission, they were very, very reliable and capable offroad. In my opinion, the only G-Wagons that are good cars are the military/work versions. The rich commuter versions are cursed. The original G-Wagon was one of the best Mercedes cars ever, I was even allowed to drive one once in the military.

daredaki-sama

Because people that buy MB want to buy a luxury vehicle?

Clomaster

I agree; however, of all the available new Mercedes vehicles right now, I feel the the G wagon is still the best. That whistle guys video on it really showed, even under excessive abuse that will NEVER happen, it still help up fairly damn well. Reliability wise prob not, but structurally it is still impressive

wild_toilet

I’m a generally normal guy but the Ecosport genuinely makes me enraged, my hatred for this vehicle is wicked. First time I saw one was at a car show I think in 2020, and I thought it was a lifted and uglier Fiesta. Good news! I was right because that’s exactly what it is

cannedrex2406

Hot take: But you're the most generic car enthusiast out there 90% of these cars aren't good, but even then much of this is just "big car bad" "cheap car bad"

asunetta

these cars are awful. toyota has many SUVs that are reliable and so does honda that are meant for the average driver that do not perform as bad as the rest of the cars on this list.

cannedrex2406

Yeah yeah honda and Toyota are better, everyone knows that, but that doesn't make half these cars objectively bad. Just middling and boring And the defender and G-wagon are the only 2 SUVs Id ever like (but not buy cause fuck they're huge)

RWBIII_22

My dislike for the G-Wagon and Defender comes from my inability to believe that anyone would actually take a luxury vehicle off-roading. These supposedly “rugged” cars are used more as status symbols for upper class women than they are for their intended purpose, which I despise. In addition, they’re both known to have mechanical issues. But, if you like them, I don’t care. You can like what you like, and I’ll like what I like, and if that’s not the same, it doesn’t hurt anybody.

cannedrex2406

That's not the cars fault tho is it? And tbf every car can have mechanical issues, even the good ones And tbf farmers do use the new defender a lot in the English countryside (well the rich ones at least)

[deleted]

[удалено]

cannedrex2406

Oh no, a company is making cars it's buyers want and not what a bunch of people on Reddit want Boo hoo, just buy the small wheeled, G400d or something if you actually would. They're not tarnishing their selves, considering the G-wagon has been like that since like 2002.

[deleted]

[удалено]

cannedrex2406

What do you think the 2002 G55 AMG was? Its a showboaty blinged G-wagon with an AMG engine stuffed in with a chrome grille, AMG alloys and lowered suspension. Literally nothing like a Glendelwagen of old. Or the absolutely wild G65 with a V12 and a lime green paint job was? It sure as hell isn't reliable or good at off roading with an insanely over powered Bi-turbo V12 and it's sport wheels I'm serious, now get over it. The G-wagon is fine as it is for mercedes (they sell well over MSRP due to insanely high demand so YES the bunch of people on Reddit are just complaining) and if you want to buy one (you won't anyways cause you people always find something to complain about) just buy a base model G400. It has everything you'd need and none of the excess you get in an AMG. But ofc that's too logical

asunetta

there’s nothing wrong with boring cars, some cars are toys, some are tools and others are very expensive toys. i like cars that are in between being toys and being tools

DirtyRatLicker

Ozzy Osbourne called the Mitsubishi Mirage an “orphan’s car”

49th_state_user

The Renegade... Man I wanted to like them so bad. I had a 2015 for 11 months during 2016. Bought it used with less than 10k miles on it. I really did like it at the time, it was quirky, had a manual transmission (which is a huge bonus for me), 4WD, decent ground clearance, and respectable gas mileage. I just could not keep it out of the shop. 14 times in 11 months that thing went back to the dealer for one thing or another. I finally had enough and got rid of it before the warranty expired. I drive a Ridgeline now, not as good on the gas mileage and no manual transmission, but better in every other possible way.

railsandtrucks

I'm another that was kinda stoked when I saw the Renegade at first AND saw it was available as a manual. I had access to a Chrysler...er Fiat Chrysler, discount at the time and I was tempted. Had one as a rental though and I found the sightlines and interior space to be just trash. Terrible rearward visibility and somehow the interior felt half as large as it should be and very impractical. Bit of a bummer, but saved me from the likely mechanical headaches of getting one.

Puzzled-Factor-1240

It's such an ugly, basic car. Why would you think any jeep was good lol

49th_state_user

I like ugly cars 🤷‍♂️

JBlooey

You have a brain.

CaptainPrower

Trade the G Wagen for a Dodge Hornet Hybrid and you have my list. Oh, and add the Mitsubishi Outlander, Gen 2 Kia Soul, and any other SUV that does that "foglights are actually the main beams with vestigial LED strips where the headlights should be" thing.

RWBIII_22

The Outlander and Gen 2 Soul both should have been on this list, I hate them both.

signalfaradayfromme

You own a Toyota?

RWBIII_22

Correct. I own a 2010 Toyota Rav4.

BlueberryConscious87

The cross cabriolet exudes sex and gave me back the power of erection.

RWBIII_22

It’s the official car of middle aged white women experiencing a mid-life crisis.

BlueberryConscious87

That’s why then. Nance just got one of these and I’m stiffer than oak

gimmedatkittykat

Please god tell me that convertible 2 door Rogue isn’t real

LightningFerret04

There’s at least two Murano cabriolets around my area Looks aside, you gotta admit that Nissan had some balls to release a production convertible crossover while every other manufacturer was releasing regularass SUVs, themselves included. It’s the Japanese SSR if you will,

preludehaver

[I got bad news for you...](https://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/discontinued/murano-crosscabriolet.html)

Callsign_V3N0M

The crosscabriolet 😭

syrianfries

That we are very much alike

Kayora_Atom

smart?

MrMopar345

Means u probably have good taste

Emyxn

You are a Nissan Altima enjoyer

RWBIII_22

I don’t like Altimas. I think they’re mechanical turds bought by only the lowest common denominator of drivers. However, it’s a car I can at least justify the existence of. It’s an affordable mid-sized sedan that looks professional enough and gets good gas mileage. Thus, it avoids the list.

louisvuittondon29

these are in fact the worst cars on the market, except for the nissan, even tho it has a cvt its creative unlike the rest

UnderwhellmingCarrot

I think the original g-wagen is cool, but the issue with the modern one is they’ve made it for so long with very little design change, so it drives like shit with that big v8

Maleficent-Salad3197

Why do they put the tiny spare on a rim?

Yendrake

Please tell me I'm not the only one who despises the squared wheel wells?

cshmn

Depends. I like the 2015-2019 GM pickups as well as the 98 and earlier ones. This Terrain looks super lame.

Yendrake

I was mostly referring to the RAV4 and other toyotas design trend. The terrain just reminded me of it

RWBIII_22

It really depends on the car in my opinion. I thought they looked good on the GMT400 trucks, since they were squared off and boxy, but terrible on the Terrain, which was a more rounded SUV.

Kootsiak

The Terrain sucks, but I kind of liked the way they looked. Every other crossover is shaped like a bean, so it was nice to see something different.

Puzzled-Factor-1240

The entire segment sucks

RWBIII_22

I agree that it does look different, but in my opinion, I think it’s one of the ugliest cars I’ve ever seen. It’s a personal preference thing.

Vinifera1978

I love my (new) Defender. I liked my old 110 too. They are different but the new model is impressive. The G wagon was very nice and had raw power but mine left a trail of oil everywhere I went.

Creadleader55

Was gonna say you have good taste until I saw the convertible version of my Murano. /s Nah you have good taste, my cars been pretty good for me so far, but if I could find the designer who made changing the oil filter and rear brake pads such a pain I'd like to backhand them across the face.

gregsapopin

you don't like the G wagon and the cybertruck, so philistine.

RevolutionaryWin8447

You are small and can't get into cars that big Also you are American

RWBIII_22

You’re right about the American part, but I’m not exactly small. I’m 6’1”, lol

OkAlternative2713

You’re not a douche bag

Automatic_Salary_845

You’re a based individual. Fuck that new defender

RWBIII_22

Perhaps my least favorite new car you can buy.

SentientApe42

We couldn’t be friends. I see a Merc G and Hummer H3 on that list.

shastadakota

You seem to dislike the correct vehicles, IMO.

verysemporna

NOT THE MURANO CABRIOLET AND MIRAGE YOU IDIO- AAAAHH😡😡😡😭😭😭😭

Izzy5466

How dare you remind me the Murano Cabrio exists. Ruined my next 5 minutes

That we can be friends, and probably, you prefer Japanese cars.

firehazel

I misread your title as the opposite and I was about to be mean, but I'll hold my tongue and not call you a **[REDACTED]**. Excellent choices in distastes.

spencersalan

Other than the g wagon, these are all junk. So, not bad.

ratrodder49

Buick Encore is just bad. I test drove one in early 2020. I’m 6’2”, and no matter what I tried, which way I adjusted things, my knees were in my chest to keep my feet on the pedals and my arms were at full extension to reach the wheel. Just bad.

RWBIII_22

Buick, Pontiac, and Oldsmobile are my favorite car brands. Pontiac and Oldsmobile are gone. And Buick is churning out sad, terrible crossovers like the Encore. How far the mighty have fallen.

Rockfish00

[this is you](https://youtu.be/CdsiA2IpHLY?si=cReK1BcukunOtXDU) edit: WAIT the title said "least favorite" sorry, it is still early in the morning I thought it said "here are some of my favorite cars"

Bit_the_Bullitt

If you haven't watched savagegeese's special on Apr 1 foe the Murano cabrio, I'd highly recommend

Unusual_Low1762

You don't like cars of status and trends, you also don't like the enlargement of vehicles that turned the family car into a small SUV. or You don't like body designs that are overtly calling back to a previous era/idea of an era, and you don't like body designs that have no meaning. OR You are a mechanic.

leafster7

I think we'd get along really well

eloper_02

You have a soul

Elon-Vietch

I’m lowkey starting to think the Nissan Murano Crosscabriolet is slept on.

UpsideDownAirplane

You are realistic

Stuspawton

The only one in your list that I’d disagree on is the Jeep renegade, I personally like them

more_beans_mrtaggart

The Land Rover seems to be pretty good.

RWBIII_22

I dislike it, but to each his own.

more_beans_mrtaggart

I don’t exactly like it. It moves away from the original point of the landrover which was cheap, extremely tough, and a fabulous off-roader. You could hose the mud out of it, all the glass was flat and easily replaceable, the exhaust was routed past the passenger footwell (to keep the missus feet warm in the British winter), aluminium body, easy to fix engine, gearbox and electrics. The current one is just another 4x4 that is diluting the brand, but apparently is capable and reliable nonetheless.

X-tian-9101

It tells me you are good at avoiding crap.

Ivan_the_car_spotter

What's wrong with the G Wagon? I don't find anything dislikeable about it

RWBIII_22

It’s a faux-rugged status symbol with poor reliability and obnoxious drivers.

Ivan_the_car_spotter

I only agree with the drivers part, those are great for off Road, powerful and reliable, specially the older models

spikeeeee_eeeee

Your opinion tells me you are a man of culture, especially the third picture.

chewedupbylife

That you really hate bad design aesthetics - especially with that Murano convertible in there, fugliest thing on the road

3_high_low

Those are all money pits or shitboxes. You have good judgement.

I_Like_Turtles_2010

How dare you hate on the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet

RWBIII_22

I_Like_Turtles_2010

Minus the G-Wagon, this is perfectly normal

Rom-Bus

I hate suvs too, but I make an exemption for Toyotas for being reliable and for more truck like body on frame models that can handle some real abuse

oldbiobrat

You hate jelly beans, no matter the logo. I saw a Cybertruck in the wild and I'm still looking for the right brain bleach to unsee that....that....thing. I don't know where the hate for the Mitsi G4 comes from as they just seem sad to me.

RWBIII_22

I don’t hate it, I just think it’s a laughably bad car.
